An electrochemiluminescence (ECL) sensor based on reduced graphene oxide–CdTe quantum dots (RGO–CdTe QDs) composites for detecting copper ion (Cu2+) was proposed. The ECL behaviours of the RGO–CdTe QD modified electrode were investigated with H2O2 as the co‐reactant. Quantitative detection of Cu2+ was realized as Cu2+ could effectively quench the ECL signal of the RGO–CdTe QDs. A wide linear range of 1.00 × 10?14 to 1.00 × 10?4 M (R = 0.9953) was obtained under optimized conditions, and a detection limit (S/N = 3) was achieved of as low as 3.33 × 10?15 M. The proposed sensor also exhibited good stability and selectivity for the detection of copper ions. Finally, the analytical application of the proposed sensor was also evaluated using river water.  相似文献

The behaviors of 15 kinds of metal ions in the thiol‐capped CdTe quantum dots (QDs)–H2O2 chemiluminescence (CL) reaction were investigated in detail. The results showed that Ag+, Cu2+ and Hg2+ could inhibit CdTe QDs and H2O2 CL reaction. A novel CL method for the selective determination of Ag+, Cu2+ and Hg2+ was developed, based on their inhibition of the reaction of CdTe QDs and H2O2. Under the optimal conditions, good linear relationships were realized between the CL intensity and the logarithm of concentrations of Ag+, Cu2+ and Hg2+. The linear ranges were from 2.0 × 10?6 to 5.0 × 10?8 mol L?1 for Ag+, from 5.0 × 10?6 to 7.0 × 10?8 mol L?1 for Cu2+ and from 2.0 × 10?5 to 1.0 × 10?7 mol L?1 for Hg2+, respectively. The limits of detection (S/N = 3) were 3.0 × 10?8, 4.0 × 10?8 and 6.7 × 10?8 mol L?1 for Ag+, Cu2+ and Hg2+, respectively. A possible mechanism for the inhibition of CdTe QDs and H2O2 CL reaction was also discussed. Copyright © 2009 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

CdTe quantum dots (QDs) capped with different stabilizers, i.e. thioglycolic acid (TGA), 3‐mercaptopropionic acid (MPA) and glutathione (GSH) were investigated as fluorescent probes for the determination of Cu2+. The stabilizer was shown to play an important role in both the sensitivity and selectivity for the determination of Cu2+. TGA‐capped CdTe QDs showed the highest sensitivity, followed by the MPA and GSH‐capped CdTe QDs, respectively. The TGA‐ and MPA‐capped CdTe QDs were not selective for Cu2+ that was affected by Ag+. The GSH‐capped CdTe QDs were insensitive to Ag+ and were used to determine Cu2+ in water samples. Under optimal conditions, quenching of the fluorescence intensity (F0/F) increased linearly with the concentration of Cu2+ over a range of 0.10–4.0 µg/mL and the detection limit was 0.06 µg/mL. The developed method was successfully applied to the determination of Cu2+ in water samples. Good recoveries of 93–104%, with a relative standard deviation of < 6% demonstrated that the developed simple method was accurate and reliable. The quenching mechanisms were also described. Cysteamine (CA)‐capped CdTe quantum dots (QDs) (CA–CdTe QDs) were prepared by the reflux method and utilized as an efficient nano‐sized fluorescent sensor to detect mercury (II) ions (Hg2+). Under optimum conditions, the fluorescence quenching effect of CA–CdTe QDs was linear at Hg2+ concentrations in the range of 6.0–450 nmol/L. The detection limit was calculated to be 4.0 nmol/L according to the 3σ IUPAC criteria. The influence of 10‐fold Pb2+, Cu2+ and Ag+ on the determination of Hg2+ was < 7% (superior to other reports based on crude QDs). Furthermore, the detection sensitivity and selectivity were much improved relative to a sensor based on the CA–CdTe QDs probe, which was prepared using a one‐pot synthetic method. This CA–CdTe QDs sensor system represents a new feasibility to improve the detection performance of a QDs sensor by changing the synthesis method. Copyright © 2014 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

The chemiluminescence (CL) behaviour of the luminol–potassium periodate system enhanced by CdTe quantum dots capped with thioglycolic acid (TGA–CdTe QDs) was studied using kinetic experiments, CL spectra, UV–vis absorption spectra and fluorescence spectra. The production of oxygen‐containing reactant intermediates (O2?? and OH?) in the present CL system was verified by CL. The possible CL mechanism was discussed in detail. Furthermore, theophylline (THP) was determined based on its enhancement of the CL intensity of the CdTe QDs–luminol–potassium periodate system coupled with a flow‐injection technique. Under these optimized conditions, the linear range was found to be from 1.0 × 10?8 to 1.0 × 10?5 g/mL with a detection limit of 2.8 × 10?9 g/mL (3σ). The recoveries for the determination of THP in tablets were from 98.2 to 99.6%.  相似文献

A sensitive and convenient flow‐injection chemiluminescence (FI‐CL) turn‐on assay for alkaline phosphatase (ALP) activity without any label and synthesis is developed. Cu2+ can catalyze the luminol–H2O2 CL reaction. Pyrophosphate (PPi) can chelate Cu2+ and therefore the Cu2+‐mediated luminol‐H2O2 CL reaction is inhibited. The addition of ALP can catalyze the hydrolysis of PPi into phosphate ions, Cu2+ is released and the chemiluminescence recovers. A detection limit of 1 mU/mL ALP is obtained.  相似文献

A novel fluorescence assay system for glucose was developed with thioglycollic acid (TGA)‐capped CdTe quantum dots (QDs) as probes. The luminescence quantum yield of the TGA‐capped CdTe QDs was highly sensitive to H2O2 and pH. In the presence of glucose oxidase, glucose is oxidized to yield, gluconic acid and H2O2. H2O2 and H+ (dissociated from gluconic acid) intensively quenched the fluorescence of QDs. The experimental results showed that the quenched fluorescence was proportional to the glucose concentration within the range of 0.01–5.0 mm under optimized experimental conditions. Compared with most of the existing methods, this newly developed system possesses many advantages, including simplicity, low cost, high flexibility, and good sensitivity. Furthermore, no complicated chemical modification of QDs and enzyme immobilization was needed in this system. Copyright © 2012 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

Core‐shell CdTe/ZnS quantum dots capped with 3‐mercaptopropionic acid (MPA) were successfully synthesized in aqueous medium by hydrothermal synthesis. These quantum dots have advantages compared to traditional quantum dots with limited biological applications, high toxicity and tendency to aggregate. The concentration of Cu2+ has a significant impact on the fluorescence intensity of quantum dots (QDs), therefore, a rapid sensitive and selective fluorescence probe has been proposed for the detection of Cu2+ in aqueous solution. Under optimal conditions, the fluorescence intensity of CdTe/ZnS QDs was linearly proportional to the concentration of Cu2+ in the range from 2.5 × 10–9 M to 17.5 × 10–7 M with the limit of 1.5 × 10–9 M and relative standard deviation of 0.23%. The quenching mechanism is static quenching with recoveries of 97.30–102.75%. Copyright © 2015 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

In this paper, a novel chemiluminescence (CL) system was introduced based on the use of CdTe quantum dots (QDs) with the mixture solutions of fluorescein and potassium periodate (KIO4) in alkaline medium. The CL signal of an ultra‐weak system was strongly enhanced in the presence of QDs. The application of CdTe QDs–fluorescein–KIO4 system is reported for the first time. It was found that catechol had a diminishing effect on the CL reaction. Under optimal experimental conditions, CL intensity decreased linearly in a 1 to 100 μM catechol concentration range, with a 0.18 μM detection limit. A possible reaction mechanism was proposed according to the results of kinetic analyses, CL spectra, ultraviolet–visible and fluorescence spectra. The results pointed to an efficient energy transfer between the CL energy donor CdTe QDs and acceptor fluorescein. Finally, the CL method was successfully applied to the determination of catechol in environmental water samples.  相似文献

Electrogenerated chemiluminescence (ECL) of thiol‐capped CdTe quantum dots (QDs) in aqueous solution was greatly enhanced by PDDA‐protected graphene (P‐GR) film that were used for the sensitive detection of H2O2. When the potential was cycled between 0 and ?2.3 V, two ECL peaks were observed at ?1.1 (ECL‐1) and ?1.4 V (ECL‐2) in pH 11.0, 0.1 M phosphate buffer solution (PBS), respectively. The electron‐transfer reaction between individual electrochemically‐reduced CdTe nanocrystal species and oxidant coreactants (H2O2 or reduced dissolved oxygen) led to the production of ECL‐1. While mass nanocrystals packed densely in the film were reduced electrochemically, assembly of reduced nanocrystal species reacted with coreactants to produce an ECL‐2 signal. ECL‐1 showed higher sensitivity for the detection of H2O2 concentrations than that of ECL‐2. Further, P‐GR film not only enhanced ECL intensity of CdTe QDs but also decreased its onset potential. Thus, a novel CdTe QDs ECL sensor was developed for sensing H2O2. Light intensity was linearly proportional to the concentration of H2O2 between 1.0 × 10?5 and 2.0 x 10‐7 mol L?1 with a detection limit of 9.8 x 10?8 mol L?1. The P‐GR thin‐film modified glassy carbon electrode (GCE) displayed acceptable reproducibility and long‐term stability. Copyright © 2012 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

In this study, a sensitive and simple flow‐injection chemiluminescence (CL) method was developed for the quantitative analysis of haemoglobin. The method is based on the ability of haemoglobin to enhance the CL signal generated by a H2O2–K4Fe(CN)6–fluorescein alkaline system enhanced by CdTe quantum dots. Under the optimized conditions, haemoglobin can be detected in concentration range 7.35 × 10–9–2.5 × 10–6 mol/L, with a detection limit (3σ) of 1.8 × 10–9 mol/L and a relative standard deviation (RSD; for 5 × 10–7 mol/L haemoglobin) of 2.06% (n = 11). The present CL method was successfully applied for the determination of haemoglobin in three kinds of blood samples taken from an infant, an adult man, an adult woman and two reference samples. Compared with previous reports, the CL method described in this work is simple and rapid, with high sensitivity. Copyright © 2012 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

Luminol and lucigenin chemiluminescence (CL) responses produced by separated human blood polymorphonuclear leukocytes (pmn) and monocytes (mono) have been studied following stimulation with the surface-receptor agonist fMLP (a synthetic chemotactic peptide) and the protein kinase C activator phorbol myristate acetate (PMA). Pmn produced two- to threefold the luminol CL and superoxide anion (O2) levels of mono; lucigenin CL was similar for both cell-types. The myeloperoxidase (MPO) inhibitor salicylhydroxamic acid (SHA) abrogated luminol but not lucigenin CL in both cell types, but did not further inhibit the already grossly subnormal luminol CL responses seen with MPO-deficient cells which produced normal lucigenin CL. SHA also profoundly inhibited the luminol CL response in a cell-free MPO–H2O2 system. Mono lucigenin CL does not appear to specifically measure O2 production. These data show that luminol CL provides a useful measure of pmn and also mono MPO activity. However, analysis of the effects of various reactive oxygen species (ROS) scavengers, assessed on phagocyte and cell-free CL systems (both MPO–H2O2 and superoxide generating) suggest that the luminol CL signal is not entirely dependent on MPO activity.  相似文献

A simple and sensitive DNA‐stablized gold nanoparticle (AuNP)‐based chemiluminescent (CL) probe for detecting mercury ion (Hg2+) in aqueous solution has been developed. The CL strategy relies upon the catalytic activity of unmodified AuNPs on the luminol–H2O2 CL reaction, and the interaction of unmodified AuNPs with DNA. The unmodified AuNPs can effectively differentiate unstructured and folded DNA. The DNA desorbs from AuNPs in the presence of Hg2+, leading to the increase in CL signal. By rationally varying the number of thymine in single‐strand oligonucleotides, the detection range could be tuned. Employing single‐strand oligonucleotides with 14 thymine in the detecting system, a sensitive linear range for Hg2+ ions from 5.0 × 10–10 to 1.0 × 10–7 mol/L and a detection limit of 2.1 × 10–10 mol/L are obtained. Changing the number of thymine to 10 and 6, it leads to a narrow detection range but a high sensitivity. Besides, DNA‐based CL nanoprobes exhibit a remarkable selectivity for Hg2+ ions over a variety of competing metal ions. Copyright © 2012 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

d ‐penicillamine‐capped cadmium telluride quantum dots (DPA‐capped CdTe QDs) were synthesized as the new fluorescent semiconductor nanocrystal in aqueous solution. Fourier transmission infrared spectroscopy, X‐ray diffraction, transmission electron microscopy, ultraviolet‐visible and photoluminescence spectroscopy were used for characterization of the QDs. Based on the quenching effect of Cu2+ ions on the fluorescence intensity of DPA‐capped CdTe QDs, a new fluorometric sensor for copper(II) detection was developed that showed good linearity over the concentration range 5 × 10–9–3 × 10–6 m with the detection limit 0.4 × 10–9 m . Owing to the strong affinity of the DPA to copper(II), the sensor showed appropriate selectivity for copper(II) compared with conventional QDs. The DPA‐capped CdTe QDs was successfully applied for determination of Cu2+ concentration in river, well and tap waters with satisfactory results. Copyright © 2013 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

Core–shell structured quantum dot (QD)–silica fluorescent nanoparticles have attracted a great deal of attention due to the excellent optical properties of QDs and the stability of silica. In this study, core–shell structured CdTe/CdS@SiO2@CdTe@SiO2 fluorescent nanospheres were synthesized based on the Stöber method using multistep silica encapsulation. The second silica layer on the CdTe QDs maintained the optical stability of nanospheres and decreased adverse influences on the probe during subsequent processing. Red‐emissive CdTe/CdS QDs (630 nm) were used as a built‐in reference signal and green‐emissive CdTe QDs (550 nm) were used as a responding probe. The fluorescence of CdTe QDs was greatly quenched by added S2?, owing to a S2?‐induced change in the CdTe QDs surface state in the shell. Upon addition of Cd2+ to the S2?‐quenched CdTe/CdS@SiO2@CdTe@SiO2 system, the responding signal at 550 nm was dramatically restored, whereas the emission at 630 nm remained almost unchanged; this response could be used as a ratiometric ‘off–on’ fluorescent probe for the detection of Cd2+. The sensing mechanism was suggested to be: the newly formed CdS‐like cluster with a higher band gap facilitated exciton/hole recombination and effectively enhanced the fluorescence of the CdTe QDs. The proposed probe shows a highly sensitive and selective response to Cd2+ and has potential application in the detection of Cd2+ in environmental or biological samples.  相似文献

Oxidative reactions can result in the formation of electronically excited species that undergo radiative decay depending on electronic transition from the excited state to the ground state with subsequent ultra‐weak photon emission (UPE). We investigated the UPE from the Fe2+–EDTA (ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid)–AA (ascorbic acid)–H2O2 (hydrogen peroxide) system with a multitube luminometer (Peltier‐cooled photon counter, spectral range 380–630 nm). The UPE, of 92.6 μmol/L Fe2+, 185.2 μmol/L EDTA, 472 μmol/L AA, 2.6 mmol/L H2O2, reached 1217 ± 118 relative light units during 2 min measurement and was about two times higher (P < 0.001) than the UPE of incomplete systems (Fe2+–AA–H2O2, Fe2+–EDTA–H2O2, AA–H2O2) and medium alone. Substitution of Fe2+ with Cr2+, Co2+, Mn2+ or Cu2+ as well as of EDTA with EGTA (ethylene glycol‐bis(β‐aminoethyl ether)‐N,N,N′,N′‐tetraacetic acid) or citrate powerfully inhibited UPE. Experiments with scavengers of reactive oxygen species (dimethyl sulfoxide, mannitol, sodium azide, superoxide dismutase) revealed the dependence of UPE only on hydroxyl radicals. Dimethyl sulfoxide at the concentration of 0.74 mmol/L inhibited UPE by 79 ± 4%. Plant phenolics (ferulic, chlorogenic and caffec acids) at the concentration of 870 μmol/L strongly enhanced UPE by 5‐, 13.9‐ and 46.8‐times (P < 0.001), respectively. It is suggested that augmentation of UPE from Fe2+–EDTA–AA–H2O2 system can be applied for detection of these phytochemicals.  相似文献

A simple one‐step thermal treatment to prepare strong fluorescent sulfur and nitrogen co‐doped graphene quantum dots (SN‐GQD) using citric acid and l ‐cysteine as precursors was developed. The ultra‐weak chemiluminescence (CL) from the reaction of hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) and periodate (IO4?) was significantly enhanced by SN‐GQD in acidic medium. The enhanced CL was induced by excited‐state SN‐GQD (SN‐GQD*), which was produced from the transfer energy of (O2)2* and 1O2 to SN‐GQD and recombination of oxidant‐injected holes and electrons in SN‐GQD. In the presence of tryptophan (Trp), the CL intensity of the SN‐GQD–H2O2–KIO4 system was greatly diminished. This finding was used to design a novel method for determination of Trp in the linear range 0.6–20.0 μM, with a limit of detection (LOD) of 58.0 nM. Furthermore, Hg2+ was detectable in the range 0.1–9.0 μM with a LOD of 64.0 nM, based on its marked enhancement of the SN‐GQD–H2O2–KIO4 CL system. The proposed method was successfully applied to detect Trp in milk and human plasma samples and Hg2+ in drinking water samples, with recoveries in the range 95.7–107.0%.  相似文献

Mn2+‐doped CdTe quantum dots (QDs) were synthesized directly via a facile surface doping strategy in aqueous solution. The best optical property emerged when the added amount of Mn2+ was 5% compared to Cd2+ in the CdTe nanoparticles and the reaction temperature was 60 °C. The fluorescence and magnetic properties of the QDs were studied. The as‐prepared Mn2+‐doped CdTe QDs have high quantum yield (48.13%) and a narrow distribution with an average diameter of 3.7 nm. The utility of biological imaging was also studied. Depending on the high quantum yield, cells in culture were illuminated and made more distinct from each other compared to results obtained with normal QDs. They also have a prominent longitudinal relaxivity value (r1 = 4.2 mM?1s?1), which could indicate that the Mn2+‐doped CdTe QDs can be used as a potential multimodal agent for fluorescence and magnetic resonance imaging. A new carbazole–azine based fluorescent sensor was synthesized and characterized. The selectivity of the sensor for Cu2+ over other counter ions in a dimethyl sulfoxide/H2O mixture was shown through enhancement in fluorescence – an off to on transformation. The specificity of the probe towards Cu2+ was evident in ultraviolet/visible, fluorescence, Fourier transform infrared and mass studies. Application of the probe in the cell imaging and cytotoxicity of living cells is illustrated.  相似文献

A strongly fluorescing 7-hydroxycoumarin (umbelliferone, U) oxidized in dilute (10 μmol/L-0, 1 mol/L) aqueous solution with CIO? or CIO? + H2O2 (but not with H2O2 alone) produces a strong chemiluminescence (CL). Light emission kinetics depends on the pH of solution (4.0–10.5) and the reaction has a low activation energy Ea = 31 ± 2 kJ/mol (285–310 K). The spectrum covers the fluorescence of umbelliferone (400–550 nm, λmax 460nm). No red emission typical of 1Δg, 1Σ+g (O2)2 is observed either in the umbelliferone +CIO? or the umbelliferone +CIO? + H2O2 solution. The possible mechanism of CL and concomitant degradative oxidation of umbelliferone is discussed.  相似文献
