The membrane potential of ventral longitudinal muscles of Tenebrio molitor larvae was studied as a function of time and of cesium substituted for all or part of external potassium. The conventional microelectrode technique was applied. The mean value of resting potential was — 47.4 mV in standard physiological saline which did not change significantly with time (90 min). Cesium caused, almost immediately, a significant hyperpolarization of membrane potential the magnitude of which depended on cesium concentration. The presence of external potassium enhanced the effectiveness of cesium action, resulting in more pronounced hyperpolarization. The effect of Cs ions was fully reversible upon washing. These data support the idea that inward potassium current can be activated at resting potential level, at least in some cells, including the muscles studied. 沙冬青属(Ammopiptanthus)植物是古地中海第三纪孑遗濒危物种,包括沙冬青(Ammopiptanthus mgolicus)和矮沙冬青(Ammopiptanthus nanus),主要分布在我国西北干旱、半干旱地区,其不仅具有较高的研究价值,同时对我国西北干旱地区生态环境具有十分重要的作用。近年来由于全球气候变化及人为干扰等因素,沙冬青属植物天然分布面积骤缩,濒临灭绝。本研究利用MaxEnt模型、Bioclim模型和Domain模型对沙冬青属植物在我国末次间冰期(Last Interglacial)、末次冰盛期(Last Glacial Maximum)、当代和2050年(RCP4.5和RCP8.5)4个时期气候情景下的潜在适生区进行预测。结果表明:MaxEnt模型对沙冬青属植物潜在分布区的预测具有极高的准确度,所有模型的平均受试者工作特征曲线下面积(AUC测试值)均高于0.80。当代沙冬青最佳及高适生区占全国总面积的2.78%,主要集中在内蒙古中部、宁夏北部和甘肃北部等地;未来沙冬青最佳及高适生区在现有分布范围呈现向外扩张的趋势,主要分布在内蒙古鄂托克旗、鄂尔多斯、阿拉善左旗、宁夏吴忠和甘肃民勒县等地。当代矮沙冬青最佳及高适生区占全国总面积的2.23%,主要集中在新疆南部;未来矮沙冬青最佳及高适生区向新疆乌恰县南部、乌鲁木齐北部移动和扩大,主要分布在新疆乌恰县、乌苏市、吐鲁番市和乌鲁木齐市。未来2050年(RCP4.5和RCP8.5)两种气候情景下沙冬青和矮沙冬青的潜在分布总面积均有所增加,与当代相比变化不明显,但不同适生等级的潜在分布面积变化较大,在更高的CO2排放量(RCP8.5)情景下沙冬青和矮冬青的最佳及高适生区范围的预测结果都将减少。从气候因素角度考虑,研究表明未来气候情景下沙冬青属植物的适生区变化过程中,年均温(Bio1)、最湿月降水量(Bio13)和温度季节性变化(Bio4)是影响沙冬青属植物分布的关键因子,并为我国西北干旱半干旱地区具有重要的经济价值并将持续其生态服务功能。  相似文献

Summary The action potential ofNitella internode was studied in relation to K+ and Cl concentrations in the vacuole. When the vacuole ofNitella pulchella was filled with an artificial solution with extremely low Cl concentration, a diphasic action potential (DAP) was observed. The first phase consists of a rapid depolarization followed by a relatively rapid repolarization, and the second one consists of a strong hyperpolarization followed by a gradual return to the resting potential.When the cell was stimulated immediately after the generation ofDAP, a monophasic action potential which resembles an action potential of the natural cell was observed, indicating that theDAP consists of two components with different refractory periods. The refractory period of the component responsible for the depolarizing phase is shorter than that of a component responsible for the hyperpolarizing phase. Measuring the plasmalemma potential and vacuolar potential separately, it was demonstrated that the hyperpolarizing component ofDAP originates from the tonoplast.The action potential of the tonoplast, in contrast with that of the plasmalemma, could be generated independently of concentration of K+ in the vacuole. Since the maximum amplitude of hyperpolarization decreased significantly by increasing Cl concentration of the vacuole, it is concluded that the tonoplast is very sensitive to Cl during excitation.  相似文献

Depolarization-activated and hyperpolarization-activated ion conductances in the membrane of a marine dinoflagellateNoctiluca miliaris were examined under voltage-clamp conditions.Noctiluca exhibited a transient inward current in response to a step depolarization from a holding potential level of –80 mV to a potential level more positive than –50 mV. The I–V relationship for the current exhibited typical N-shaped characteristics similar to those of most excitable membranes. The current was inactivated by a membrane depolarization. The reversal potential of the current shifted in hyperpolarizing direction when the external Na+ concentration was lowered. The transient inward current is assumed to be responsible for the Na+-dependent positive spike in non-clamped specimens ofNoctiluca.Noctiluca exhibited a transient outward current in response to a step hyperpolarization from a holding potential level of –20 mV to a potential level more negative than –30 mV. The I–V relationship for the current was a typical N-shape as if it was turned 180° around its origin. The outward current showed a two-step exponential time-decay. The outward current was inactivated by a membrane hyperpolarization. The reversal potential shifted in the depolarizing direction when the external Cl concentration was lowered. For the quantitative estimation of surface potential change in intact cells a method was devised with the use of fluorescent probes, 8-anilino-1-naphthalenesulfonate (ANS) and N-phenyl-1-naphthylamine (NPN). Estimated values in liposomes were compared with changes in the zeta potential determined from electrophoresis. Both values agreed within the experimental variation, showing the usefulness of the method. The method was also applied to Tetrahymena pyriformis, which exhibits chemotaxis to various chemical stimuli. The surface potential change was observed when the cell was stimulated not only by inorganic salts but also by electrically neutral, hydrophobic compounds. The surface potential started to change in accordance with the depolarization of the membrane potential, except for the case of K+. Changes in the surface potential of T. pyriformis in response to Ca2+ and K+ were compared with those in the membrane potential. The quantitative contribution of the surface potential to cell depolarization associated with chemoreception is discussed.  相似文献

A boundary line analysis of the scatterplot relating pre-dawn leaf water potential to pre-dawn minus minimum leaf water potential was applied to study the efficiency of the Mediterranean evergreen oak species to buffer the effects of variability in water resources. The results are discussed in term of stomatal regulation and changes in soil-to-leaf hydraulic conductance of water flow, both induced by changes in leaf water potential. For this purpose, we used data for leaf water potential measured in three stands of Quercus ilex across a soil water availability gradient in Southern France, and two others obtained in California and Arizona for Quercus turbinella and Portugal for Quercus coccifera. A classification of plant responses from mesic to xeric sites is proposed.  相似文献

中国梧桐属(Firmiana)在世界梧桐属中占比较大,且除梧桐外其余种均为中国特有且分布范围狭窄的植物种,灭绝风险大,研究气候变化对中国梧桐属树种的影响对于维护生物多样性具有重要的意义。结合多时期第六次国际气候耦合模式比较计划(CMIP6)气候变量数据和中国八种梧桐属树种的分布数据,基于R语言kuenm程序包优化的最大熵(Maxent)模型模拟分析中国八种梧桐属树种在多尺度下的潜在适生区,得出梧桐属最适宜的模拟尺度、潜在适生区的面积变化和迁移方向、梧桐属多样性保护关键区域及保护空缺。结果表明:(1)梧桐属最适宜的模拟尺度为亚洲;(2) Maxent模型的接收者操作特征曲线下面积(AUC)值均大于0.9,表明模型对梧桐属潜在适生区预测结果具有较高准确度;(3)气候变化影响下除云南梧桐(Firmiana major)外其它树种的潜在适生区都将在未来有所扩大;(4)中国八种梧桐属树种潜在适生区迁移方向主要为东西向,南北向大跨度迁移较少,纬度变化不大;(5)丹霞梧桐(Firmiana danxiaensis)的稳定潜在适生区最小;(6)中国梧桐属多样性保护关键区域主要分布于广西壮族自治区及云南、广东、海南等省区;(7)中国梧桐属多样性保护空缺区域主要分布于广西壮族自治区中部及海南省北部;(8)梧桐属多样性保护关键区域正在为人造地表所侵蚀。研究分析气候变化对中国八种梧桐属树种的影响及其潜在适生区变化、中国梧桐属多样性保护状态,可为中国梧桐属建立多样性保护廊道提供相关建议,为制定多样性保护规划及相应措施提供参考。  相似文献

Two different types of bioelectric potential changes have been registered in the style of Lilium longiflorum cv. Arai 5 after different treatments of the stigma. Self-pollination induces a bioelectric potential change different from the potential change induced by cross-pollination. Removal of the stigma or apllication of killed compatible pollen induced a bioelectrical response similar to the potential change recorded after cross-pollination. No bioelectric potential change was recorded after application of pollen of Petunia hybrida, pollen of Haemanthus katherinae, killed self-pollen, or no treatment at all.The mean generation time of the bioelectric potential change was 338 min after the treatment. The translocation velocity varied between 1.2 and 5.4 cm h-1. Both responses are similar to the potential changes registered in Mimosa pudica after different types of stimulation and to the potential changes generated by the phytochrome in Avena coleoptiles. The translocation of the signals is discussed in relation to the models on the translocation in Mimosa. The relation between the bioelectric potential changes and the incompatibility reaction in Lilium longiflorum is discussed.  相似文献

A method was developed to determine electrical potential differences across the plasma membrane of the microalga Dunaliella by means of potential-sensitive microelectrodes. Special emphasis was put on the measurement of the membrane potential in the acidophilic Dunaliella acidophila (optimal growth at pH 1.0), but neutrophilic, halotolerant Dunaliella species were used as reference systems. For Dunaliella acidophila positive membrane potentials (cytoplasma relative to the medium), ranging from +30 to +65mV were measured. Illumination caused a decrease of the positive potential by about 10 mV. The ATPase inhibitor omeprazole caused an increase of the positive membrane potential ranging from +60 to +100 mV, whereas the ionophore gramicidin caused a decrease of the MP to +10 to +30 mV. The salt tolerant, neutrophilic Dunaliella parva and Dunaliella bardawil exhibited negative membrane potentials in the order of -40 to -60mV, and light caused a hyperpolarization of about 10 mV. A negative membrane potential was measured also in D. acidophila cells transferred to pH 7.0. The aim of this study is to evaluate directly, using a reduced experimental system, the nature of interactions between voltage-gated potassium channels and the resting membrane potential. Xenopus oocytes were injected with various concentrations of cRNA coding for a delayed-rectifier potassium channel Shaker-IR. The effects of the density and kinetics of the expressed channels on resting membrane potential is explored in isolated (``inside-out') patches. The channel density is given in terms of maximal conductance (G max), measured from the maximal slope of the I-V curve under voltage clamp conditions. The capacitance of the experimental setup is approximately 1 pF. At high channel densities (G max > 10 pA/mV) the mean membrane potential is stabilized at approximately −60 mV. This resting membrane potential is more than 35 mV positive to the reversal potential for potassium ions under the same experimental conditions. Analyses of voltage clamp experiments indicate that at high channel densities the mean membrane potential is determined by the rates of channel activation and deactivation, but is not affected by the rates involved in the process of slow (C-type) inactivation. In contrast, at lower channel densities membrane potential is very unstable, and its mean value and amplitude of fluctuations are strongly affected by the process of slow (C-type) inactivation. The membrane potential of intact bacteria was monitored by measuring the tetraphenylphosphonium ion distribution across the membrane using poly-(vinyl chloride) matrix-type electrode selective to tetraphenylphosphonium ion. It was found that the tetraphenylphosphonium ion was not countertransported against H+ movement. The membrane potential of Bacillus subtilis was estimated to be 80–120 mV inside-negative at external pH 7. The effect of the external pH on the membrane potential was studied. It varied from 30 to 40 mV/decade change in the external [H+] in the pH region of greater than 6.5, increasing pH making it more inside-negative. The addition of carbonyl cyanide m-chlorophenylhydrazone depolarized the membrane, and the membrane potential approached the H+ equilibrium potential. The addition of N,N′-dicyclohexylcarbodiimide did not abolish the pH dependence of the membrane potential. Increasing the external [K+] did not affect the pH dependence. CN partially depolarized the membrane. A parallel conductance model for membrane potential could explain the results qualitatively.  相似文献

In this work, the possibility of obtaining an accurate site-site potential model suitable for use in molecular dynamics (MD) simulations of fluorine from ab initio calculations has been explored. The exploration was made on ab initio calculations. To reduce the ab initio pair potentials into a site-site potential, a higher significance was assigned to the configuration which is more stable. For this purpose, the imperialistic competitive algorithm (ICA) was implemented as a powerful optimisation tool. The calculated second virial coefficients were compared to the experimental values to test the quality of the presented intermolecular potential. The relative error for the calculated second virial coefficient ranged from 0.1 to 5.6%. MD simulations were used to evaluate the ability of the proposed intermolecular potential function. The relative error for the MD simulations ranged from 0.5 to 5.2%. The results are in good agreement with experimental data.  相似文献

The impacts of climate change in the potential distribution and relative abundance of a C3 shrubby vine, Cryptostegia grandiflora, were investigated using the CLIMEX modelling package. Based upon its current naturalised distribution, C. grandiflora appears to occupy only a small fraction of its potential distribution in Australia under current climatic conditions; mostly in apparently sub-optimal habitat. The potential distribution of C. grandiflora is sensitive towards changes in climate and atmospheric chemistry in the expected range of this century, particularly those that result in increased temperature and water use efficiency. Climate change is likely to increase the potential distribution and abundance of the plant, further increasing the area at risk of invasion, and threatening the viability of current control strategies markedly. By identifying areas at risk of invasion, and vulnerabilities of control strategies, this analysis demonstrates the utility of climate models for providing information suitable to help formulate large-scale, long-term strategic plans for controlling biotic invasions. The effects of climate change upon the potential distribution of C. grandiflora are sufficiently great that strategic control plans for biotic invasions should routinely include their consideration. Whilst the effect of climate change upon the efficacy of introduced biological control agents remain unknown, their possible effect in the potential distribution of C. grandiflora will likely depend not only upon their effects on the population dynamics of C. grandiflora, but also on the gradient of climatic suitability adjacent to each segment of the range boundary.  相似文献

由于栖息地质量下降,近年来齿突蟾属物种种群数量急剧减少,明确齿突蟾属物种空间分布,是监测、管理、保护齿突蟾属物种的基础。横断山区可能是齿突蟾属的起源中心和分化中心,但齿突蟾属在横断山区的地理分布格局尚不明确。利用优化后Maxent模型,首次预测西藏齿突蟾Scutiger boulengeri、刺胸齿突蟾Scutiger mammatus、胸腺齿突蟾Scutiger glandulatus、圆疣齿突蟾Scutiger tuberculatus、贡山齿突蟾Scutiger gongshanensis 5种高海拔齿突蟾属物种在横断山南生物多样性保护优先区域的潜在地理分布,并分析其与环境因子的关系。结果显示,5种齿突蟾属物种在横断山南的潜在地理分布格局存在差异,西藏齿突蟾主要分布在横断山南的北部,圆疣齿突蟾主要分布在横断山南东北部的四川省境内,贡山齿突蟾主要分布在横断山南的西南部,刺胸齿突蟾和胸腺齿突蟾的潜在分布格局较为相似,在横断山南的中部、西北部地区都有较多分布,但胸腺齿突蟾潜在分布区更为碎片化。另外,横断山南北部地区的齿突蟾属丰富度明显高于南部地区。环境变量贡献率和刀切法结果显示温度因子和降水因子是决定横断山南齿突蟾属潜在分布的主要因素,最冷季降水量对西藏齿突蟾、贡山齿突蟾、圆疣齿突蟾潜在分布有重要影响,但它们对最冷季降水量的偏好存在差异。此外,研究也显示,通过评估潜在的Maxent参数组合,选择最佳的Maxent模型是有效且必要的。  相似文献

随着底层和近底层渔业资源的衰退,海洋中上层鱼类在我国海洋捕捞业中逐渐占据重要的地位。预测气候变化情景下中上层经济鱼类的潜在生境分布及其变化规律,可为应对气候变化的鱼类栖息地保护和渔业生态系统管理提供重要科学依据。采用物种分布模型模拟并预测现状及2050年两种气候变化情景下8种中上层经济鱼类在中国近海的潜在分布,通过分布区的收缩-扩张情形和质心迁移距离定量分析气候变化对鱼类空间分布格局的影响。结果表明:(1)模型预测结果良好,各组模型的AUC值均高于0.85,影响目标鱼类潜在分布的主要驱动因子为海水表层温度和溶解氧;(2)8种中上层经济鱼类中,羽鳃鲐(Rastrelliger kanagurta)、鳓鱼(Ilisha elongata)等种类生境分布偏南,气候变化情景下分布北界可扩展至长江口,而鳀鱼(Engraulis japonicus)、青鳞小沙丁鱼(Sardinella zunasi)等种类主要分布在我国北方海域,气候变化情景下生境南缘边界退缩明显;(3)整体来看RCP8.5情景下的空间分布变化率大于RCP2.6情景,其中蓝圆鲹(Decapterus maruadsi)、青鳞小沙丁...  相似文献

The Asian orchid, Arundina graminifolia, has been introduced to many locations over the last 50 yr, predominantly in South and Central America. A list of localities of A. graminifolia was compiled and used to model potential climatic niches based on the maximum entropy method. The differences are presented between niches occupied by native and invasive populations of A. graminifolia, and possible changes in the potential range of the species are discussed on the basis of various climate change scenarios. The coverage of habitats suitable for A. graminifolia will be reduced under future climate changes scenarios. The created niche distribution models indicated a more significant reduction in the potential ecological niches of the studied species in its invasive range. Nevertheless, areas with potentially suitable bioclimatic conditions for A. graminifolia should be monitored to prevent future uncontrolled invasion of the orchid into new habitats and to study its impact on the local ecosystems, as vast areas of its potential niche in the Americas are still unoccupied.  相似文献

In this theory, we propose that the action potential and the birefringence change in nerve axon are both originated from dipole reorientation at the membrane surface under stimulation. The calculation is based upon a dipole distribution in two energy bands with a population ratior. Coincidence of the action potential with the birefringence change is predicted to occur whenr is in the order of 0.1 which corresponds to severalkT for the energy separation between the two bands. Furthermore, at any value ofr, there is always a small delay of the birefringence change behind the action potential. The theory not only is in good agreement with the recent optical observations in nerve but also indicates a possible physical origin of action potential, a long unresolved problem in neurophysiology.  相似文献

为了解贵州省青冈林在全球气候变化下的潜在分布特征,基于现状分布数据,结合当前气候数据和未来气候变化情景(RCP8.5情景,2070-2099年)构建Maxent潜在分布模型,预测贵州省青冈林的潜在分布变化。结果表明,最冷季均温(bio11)、最冷月最低温度(bio6)和年均降水量(bio12)为控制贵州省青冈林潜在生境的主导气候因子;RCP8.5情景下贵州省青冈林的潜在分布面积相较当前气候条件增加,中度适宜生境增加19 419 km2,高度适宜生境增加9 944 km2;中度适宜生境平均海拔较当前气候条件上升126 m,高度适宜生境平均上升85 m。总的来说,贵州省青冈林对全球气候变化的响应不十分敏感。  相似文献

We present a new molecular dynamics method for studying the dynamics of open systems. The method couples a classical system to a chemical potential reservior. In the formulation, following the extended system dynamics approach, we introduce a variable, v to represent the coupling to the chemical potential reservoir. The new variable governs the dynamics of the variation of number of particles in the system. The number of particles is determined by taking the integer part of v. The fractional part of the new variable is used to scale the potential energy and the kinetic energy of an additional particle: i.e., we introduce a fractional particle. We give the ansatz Lagrangians and equations of motion for both the isothermal and the adiabatic forms of grand molecular dynamics. The averages calculated over the trajectories generated by these equations of motion represent the classical grand canonical ensemble (μVT) and the constant chemical potential adiabatic ensemble (μVL) averages, respectively. The microcanonical phase space densities of the adiabatic and isothermal forms the molecular dynamics method are shown to be equivalent to adiabatic constant chemical potential ensemble, and grand canonical ensemble partition functions. We also discuss the extension to multi-component systems, molecular fluids, ionic solutions and the problems and solutions associated with the implementation of the method. The statistical expressions for thermodynamic functions such as specific heat; adiabatic bulk modulus, Grüneissen parameter and number fluctuations are derived. These expressions are used to analyse trajectories of constant chemical potential systems.  相似文献

Nematodes stand out among the main soya bean yield limiting factors due to limitations in the main control methods, mainly when they are applied alone. Given the need of finding new control techniques, the aim of this study was to assess the efficiency of products based on biological control agents and on nutrients or products showing potential to induce resistance for Pratylenchus brachyurus and Meloidogyne javanica control in soya bean plants. The experiments were conducted in a greenhouse; nine treatments with six repetitions for each nematode were assessed in two distinct periods. Overall, all treatments have shown potential to control the nematodes in at least one experiment, mainly the ones containing biological control agents (Trichoderma and Bacillus). The vegetative development results were inconclusive; however, some products have shown potential to improve the growth of infected plants.  相似文献
