Recent advances in optical imaging have dramatically expanded the capabilities of the light microscope and its usefulness in microbiology research. Some of these advances include improved fluorescent probes, better cameras, new techniques such as confocal and deconvolution microscopy, and the use of computers in imaging and image analysis. A plethora of methods have been developed over the few last decades to enable a better understanding of the ecology of soil microbial communities and their roles in soil functioning. However, there is generally considerable variation (both subtle and more extensive) in the actual realisation of these methods, and limited efforts have been devoted to their standardisation, despite this being crucial to underpin data comparison and integration. Ensuring comparable data across studies through standardisation is arguably best-practice, as well as necessary to effectively meet the objectives of various schemas, which require assessment of the consequences of the global change and intensification of human activities on the functioning of the soil ecosystem and its biological diversity. This article presents an overview of the existing and forthcoming ISO standards in soil microbiology and highlights possible future research efforts to be undertaken for developing new standards. We also discuss some practical and theoretical bottlenecks and hurdles that have limited standardisation in soil microbiology up to now. 相似文献

【背景】当前微生物学研究正处于发展的重要时期,研究生学位论文作为研究生阶段的主要产出,在一定程度上体现了微生物学研究的热点和发展方向,但当前的大多文献计量分析以Web of Science、知网等收录的期刊论文为主,忽略了研究生论文数据库的重要作用。【目的】通过分析我国研究生学位论文的研究选题,为探究我国微生物学相关方向的研究生学位论文的选题热点及变化趋势提供数据支持。【方法】利用文献计量学方法,对1999-2018年收录于中国博硕士学位论文全文数据库的237 562篇以微生物为研究主题的论文进行分析。【结果】发现1999-2018年我国微生物学相关的研究生论文总体呈现增长趋势,学位论文发文量排名前三的科研机构是浙江大学、中国科学院大学和南京农业大学。通过关键词网络分析发现,近10年我国微生物学相关研究生论文的研究领域呈现多样化,关键词网络更加密集,研究主要集中于环境、人类医学和动物医学等领域,与国际热点领域基本一致,但基础微生物研究相对不足。近年来备受关注的一些新兴领域如宏基因组、蛋白质组、工程与药物等在研究生论文选题中仍需加强。【结论】文献分析结果为研究生及其导师选题、推动我国微生... 相似文献

Integrated with both a historical perspective and an evolutionary angle, this opinion article presents a brief and personal view of the emergence of cellular microbiology research. From the very first observations of phagocytosis by Goeze in 1777 to the exhaustive analysis of the cellular defence mechanisms performed in modern laboratories, the studies by cell biologists and microbiologists have converged into an integrative research field distinct from, but fully coupled to immunity: cellular microbiology. “微生物学”是高等院校生物类、生物工程类及相关专业的专业基础课程。目前我国高等院校的“微生物学”以中文授课为主,但随着“双一流”建设等教改政策的推进及学生求学多元化需求的增加,全英文“微生物学”课程建设已势在必行。华东理工大学自2016年即开始“微生物学”全英文授课,并在授课方式和课程内容方面进行了改革和创新。“微生物学”全英文课程开设后,学生的学习兴趣有了很大的提高,科研能力和实践能力有了长足的进步,在专业英语的听、说、读、写能力方面也领先于同年级其他同学,为“双一流”建设背景下国家级一流本科专业创新性人才培养提供了重要支撑。 相似文献

Oligonucleotide microarrays offer a fast, high-throughput alternative for the parallel detection of microbes from virtually any sample. The application potential spreads across most sectors of life sciences, including environmental microbiology and microbial ecology; human, veterinary, food and plant diagnostics; water quality control; industrial microbiology, and so on. The past two years have witnessed a rapid increase of research in this field. Many alternative techniques were developed and validated as seen in 'proof-of-concept' articles. Publications reporting on the application of oligonucleotide microarray technology for microbial diagnostics in microbiology driven projects have just started to appear. Current and future technical and bioinformatics developments will inevitably improve the potential of this technology further. 相似文献
