第十七届国际昆虫学会议

<正> 于1984年8月20—25日在联邦德国汉堡的“会议中心”召开。共有81个国家2,284名代表参加,我国出席45名(包括台湾代表18名)。会议由西德主办,大会主席西德基尔(Kiel)大学教授B.Heydemann在开幕式上致欢迎辞,汉堡市参议院主席Dr.K.V.Dohnanyi、汉堡大学校长Dr.P.Fischer-Appelt及国际昆虫学会议主席Prof.Dc Waterhous分别致贺辞,Prof.Heydemann作了“昆虫出色的结构”学术报告。 会议共有论文1,915篇(包括壁报272篇),还有电影15本。大会分为22个专题组:1.分类及系统发育;

印度植物生理学会成立

1957年8月全印度的植物生理学家,会集德里大学,开了一次讨论会。题目是“植物生理学的近代发展”,主席是美国哈佛大学教授Kenneth V.Thimann。会中大家觉得需要一个经常性的组织,倡议成立印度植物生理学会。 1958年1月24日在阿拉哈巴德大学召开了印度植物生理学会成立大会。会中选出了1958年的主席及理事如下: 主席 P.Parija,卡他克大学副校长。副主席 S.B.Sen,魏惟坎南达研究所所长 S.Ranjan,阿拉哈巴德大学副校长

Early in 1927, Prof. J. S. Lee erected the genus Boultonia, the genotype ofwhich is Boultonia willsi. The BIONIS network was set up in spring 2002 by Prof. George Jeronimidis, Prof. Julian Vincent and Phil Sheppard. Membership is now over 300, with members from academia and industry in more than 40 countries.
