应用光学显微镜观察龟足(Capitulum mitella)消化系统的形态和组织结构。龟足的消化系统包括消化腺和消化道。消化腺一对,呈长囊状,含有分泌细胞(B细胞)、吸收细胞(R细胞)、储存细胞(F细胞)和胚细胞(E细胞)4种类型细胞。消化道呈U型,由口、食道、胃、肠、直肠和肛门组成,各部分的结构由内到外可分为黏膜层、黏膜下层、肌层和外膜4层。口器为咀嚼型,包括一片上唇、一对触须、一对大颚以及两对小颚。食道细短,具几丁质层但无基膜,管壁向腔内突起形成明显的纵褶突;食道前段的环肌特别发达,同时独有放射肌。胃略呈球袋状,肠较长;胃和肠的组织结构相似,没有几丁质层,上皮细胞都有发达的微绒毛。直肠细长,外膜分布有16组纵肌;直肠前段的组织结构与胃、肠相似,而直肠后段有几丁质层覆盖,黏膜层、黏膜下层、肌层和外膜渐退化,16组纵肌渐发达。肛门16组更加发达的纵肌挤入上皮细胞下方,在外膜外另出现一层明显的环肌。龟足消化道各部分的组织结构差异明显,反映了它们功能的差异。  相似文献

1. The sixth abdominal ganglion (6 A.G.) of the lobster Homarus gammarus (L.) innervates the rectum via the paired posterior intestinal nerves (P.I.N.’s) and the paired anal nerves. The anterior branches of the P.I.N.’s supply the anterior hindgut, the main faecal expulsion region, whilst the posterior branches (P.I.N.p.’s) supply the posterior region and the 5 extrinsic radial muscle groups around the anus.

2. Stimulation of the ventral nerve cord (V.N.C.) or the oesophageal connectives initiates co‐ordinated hindgut movements, the defaecatory response. The nervous activity eliciting these movements passes down the P.I.N.’s. The anal nerves are devoid of motor function with respect to the hindgut.

3. In addition to neurogenic movements the rectum also undergoes non‐coordinated, low amplitude longitudinal and circular muscle contractions. These are thought to be due to independently acting endogenous oscillators within the muscles themselves. The radial muscles of the anus also exhibit rhythmical contractions after an initial maximal contraction following stimulation of the P.I.N.p.’s.

4. Receptors responding to anal dilation and closure have been shown to exist in the anal nerves. They are non‐specific soft cuticle receptors which are, apparently, positionally sensitive. These receptors are not thought to modulate motor output from the 6 A.G. to the rectum at the level of the 6 A.G.

5. Bifurcating motor axons are thought to exist in the P.I.N.’s.

The structure and function of colonic mucosal lymphoid organs remain largely unexplored, especially in the rectum hidden within the pelvic vault. Two-month-old female BALB/c mice were anesthetized, and the entire colon was removed from cecum to anus. Distal colonic patches were then prepared for electron microscopy or were quick-frozen and sectioned for immunoperoxidase localization of B cells and T cell subsets. Aggregated lymphoid follicles were distributed irregularly along the entire colon with an average of 1.4 patches per centimeter of colon length. There were large collections of follicles opposite the ileocecal valve (cecal patches), variable numbers of patches throughout the colon, and at least one patch within 10 mm of the anus (rectal patch). Follicles were adjacent to branching crypts lined by epithelium infiltrated by lymphoid cells and containing few goblet cells. In electron micrographs, M cells were identified by their short, irregular microvilli; intraepithelial lymphoid cells; reduced lysosomal dense bodies; and an expanded tubulovesicular network. Small germinal centers were seen. Cytoarchitectural components of colonic lymphoid follicles and Peyer's patch follicles were remarkably similar, despite differences in surrounding mucosa and luminal microbial exposure. The presence of organized lymphoid tissue with M cells and germinal centers suggests that transepithelial particle transport and antigen recognition can take place in the rectum. Whether such tissue has the capacity for uptake of luminal microorganisms is of particular interest, not only because colonic follicles may be sites for local initiation of immune responses but also because they may be important entry points for systemic infection.  相似文献

The pathogenesis of anorectal malformations was studied in 41 abnormal embryos, foetuses and newborn pigs descended from a herd in which this anomaly was caused by a hereditary trait. The principal development error was found to be situated in the cloacal plate, of which a dorsal part of variable size was missing. This defect impeded the normal migration of the dorsal cloaca and adjacent structures along the dorsal border of the plate to the body surface of the tailgroove. Correlated to the size of the cloacal plate defect diverse types of anorectal malformations may develop ranging from slight abnormalities such as anal stenosis and perineal or vulvar ectopic anus to more serious anomalies such as imperforate anus of low, intermediate and high types. In the cases with imperforate anus a communication with the urogenital system is always formed, although it may disappear later in some animals. This communication which represents a persistent cloaca, has to be considered as an ectopic anorectal canal according to its origin and structure. The abnormalities of the internal and external sphincter ani muscles and puborectal muscles are secondary although distinctly correlated to the malformations of the epithelial structures.  相似文献

Representation of realistic muscle geometries is needed for systematic biomechanical simulation of musculoskeletal systems. Most of the previous musculoskeletal models are based on multibody dynamics simulation with muscles simplified as one-dimensional (1D) line-segments without accounting for the large muscle attachment areas, spatial fibre alignment within muscles and contact and wrapping between muscles and surrounding tissues. In previous musculoskeletal models with three-dimensional (3D) muscles, contractions of muscles were among the inputs rather than calculated, which hampers the predictive capability of these models. To address these issues, a finite element musculoskeletal model with the ability to predict contractions of 3D muscles was developed. Muscles with realistic 3D geometry, spatial muscle fibre alignment and muscle-muscle and muscle-bone interactions were accounted for. Active contractile stresses of the 3D muscles were determined through an efficient optimization approach based on the measured kinematics of the lower extremity and ground force during gait. This model also provided stresses and strains of muscles and contact mechanics of the muscle-muscle and muscle-bone interactions. The total contact force of the knee predicted by the model corresponded well to the in vivo measurement. Contact and wrapping between muscles and surrounding tissues were evident, demonstrating the need to consider 3D contact models of muscles. This modelling framework serves as the methodological basis for developing musculoskeletal modelling systems in finite element method incorporating 3D deformable contact models of muscles, joints, ligaments and bones.  相似文献

The authors have examined the ultrastructure of the rectum of infective-stage Wuchereria bancrofti by transmission electron microscopy. Our observations show that the rectum is divided into anterior and posterior segments. The cells of the anterior rectum appear to be derived from the microfilarial R (rectal) cells described by other authors. In both stages, these cells show voluminous nuclei, abundant mitochondria, and small cytoplasmic processes which contain fibrillar components. Amorphous material associated with these processes appears throughout the larval rectum and may protrude from the anus as the rectal plug. In the specimens examined, a patent lumen could not be traced completely through the anterior rectum. The posterior rectum has no counterpart in published accounts of microfilarial ultrastructure and probably arises during larval morphogenesis; it is lined with invaginated body cuticle, overlaid by a single layer of epithelial cells which may be of hypodermal origin.  相似文献

利用解剖、HE和AB-PAS染色技术研究了菲牛蛭消化系统的形态结构及组织化学特征。结果表明, 菲牛蛭消化系统由消化管和单细胞唾液腺组成。消化管包括口、咽、食道、嗉囊、肠、直肠和肛门。口开孔于前吸盘腹中部, 口腔内有3片呈三角形排列的颚片, 颚片由辐射肌和横纹肌构成, 其脊上具单列细齿, 可切开寄主皮肤。单细胞唾液腺开口于颚片两侧的乳突上, 可分泌蛭素; 咽呈短球形, 由黏膜层、肌层和外膜构成,肌层发达; 食道短而窄, 黏膜层见少量杯状细胞和大量嗜酸性颗粒; 嗉囊两侧有10对侧盲囊, 最后一对侧盲囊最长且延伸至肛门两侧; 肠部尚无明显分化, 可细分为肠和直肠。肠前段腔内有多个盲囊状的细管, 形成 肠内盲囊, 黏膜层具较多腺细胞, 黏膜下层发达, 具丰富的血管和淋巴细胞; 直肠肠腔明显大于肠的肠腔, 褶皱高度明显比肠的低, 上皮细胞间可见少量杯状细胞。AB-PAS染色结果显示菲牛蛭消化管黏液细胞有4种类型: Ⅰ型被染成红色, Ⅱ型被染成蓝色, Ⅲ型染成紫红色, Ⅳ型染成蓝紫色。口腔部黏液细胞分布以Ⅳ型和Ⅲ型为主, 少量Ⅱ型与Ⅰ型黏液细胞, 咽部以Ⅲ型为主, 食道、嗉囊、肠前部以及直肠壁均无酸性和中性黏液细胞存在, 肠中后部以Ⅰ型为主, 肛门壁存在大量的Ⅱ型黏液细胞。讨论了菲牛蛭消化管结构特点与食性的关系等问题, 发现肠是菲牛蛭整个消化管最主要的消化和吸收场所, 且消化管特殊的结构特征决定了菲牛蛭主要以血液作为食物来源。  相似文献

The length and weight of gastrointestinal tracts including contents of ten week old male pikas (Ochotona rufescens rufescens) and suncus (Suncus murinus) were measured and they were investigated and compared with those of millardias, ICR-mice and Wistar-rats. The length from the duodenum to the anus of pikas was much longer and the weight from the stomach to the anus was about 16g per 100g of body weight. The weight of cecum was about 7g per body weight and they were heavier than those of other species. The length from the duodenum to the anus of the suncus was short but the weight of the small intestine plus colon and rectum per body weight did not differ from that of other species. The suncus has no cecum but the weight from the stomach to the anus was almost the same as that of rats.  相似文献

Studies on the tail of second-stage infective larvae (L2s) of Meloidogyne javanica, M. incognita and M. hapla from a region anterior to the rectal gland to the tail tip have revealed the presence of a previously undescribed sensory organ, the caudal sensory organ, in the posterior region of the tail.The extreme tip of the tail consists of solid cuticle and the different zones of this structure are described throughout the tail region. Longitudinal sections through the anus and rectum have revealed that the cortical (external cortical, epicuticle) layer gradually decreases in thickness until its outermost layer appears to merge with the plasma membrane of the rectal inflation or gland. This gland appears to be similar in all three species studied.The two phasmidial glands and their canals are described from transverse sections. Somatic muscle is first found in the region of the anus and it extends anteriorly throughout most of the length of the L2. Depressor ani muscles which insert on the dorsal surface of the rectum are also described.The rectal gland in the dilated state occupies about three quarters of the diameter of the L2. It contains a matrix which resembles that extruded from the adult female rectal gland cells. The rectal gland cells contain large amounts of rough endoplasmic reticulum and desmosomes are found close to the junction of these cells and the plasma membrane of the gland itself. More anteriorly in the L2 most of the area is taken up by large lipid droplets which function as an energy reserve.It is suggested that the rectal gland should not be used as a taxonomic criterion for separating the La2S of Meloidogyne because it can vary so much in appearance within the same species.  相似文献

The cuticular surface of the rectum of Triatoma infestans and its colonization by a Trypanosoma cruzi strain originating from the same locality as the bugs were studied by scanning electron microscopy at different weeks post infectionem. On the basis of the cuticular folding, the rectum can be subdivided into five regions. The rectal gland has the finest structure and the region anterior to the anus the deepest folds. Try. cruzi always prefers to colonize the rectal gland, while the other regions are colonized in varying densities. Most of the flagellates are epimastigotes (long and short), except in the region at the entrance of the midgut, where trypomastigotes predominate.  相似文献

The gross anatomy of the mastication system of the giant anteater (Myrmecophaga tridactyla) was examined by means of three-dimensional image analysis. The anteater rotates the mandibles medially and laterally to control its tongue when it is elongated and to house it when it is relaxed. Three-dimensional CT image analysis demonstrated that the shape and size of the oral cavity changes drastically when the mandibles are rotated. The oral cavity expands bilaterally when the dorsal part of the mandibles bend medially. Macroscopic observations and muscle-weight data supported the observation that the superficial temporal and medial pterygoid muscles act as the main medial and lateral rotators of the mandible, respectively. The low height of the mandibular ramus and the incomplete zygomatic arch in this species represent adaptations for the rotational movement of the mandibles, since they both contribute to the medially oriented transmission of force from the temporal muscles and to preventing collision between the mandibles and the cranium during the rotational movement.  相似文献

The process of defaecation in the stem nematode, Ditylenchus dipsaci , has been analysed using cinemicrography. During feeding regular shortenings of the hind end of the body are accompanied by groups of a few defaecation periods. Each period begins as the shortened hind body re-elongates, and consists of several defaecation cycles. In each cycle the posterior rectum becomes dorsally bowed and, as it straightens, the rectal valve, rectum and anus open. Faeces pass out irregularly while the rectum remains open and are forcibly expelled as it closes. Defaecation in D. dipsaci is intermediate between that of the high-pressure nematode Aphelenchoidzs blastophthorus and the low-pressure passive feeder Hexatylus viviparus. We suggest that the main function of defaecation in plant nematodes is to excrete excess water.  相似文献

Most extant Chelicerata are characterized by external digestion and the ingestion of fluid food. Exceptions include the marine taxa, most Opiliones, and the mite groups Opilioacarida (Parasitiformes) and Sarcoptiformes (Acariformes), which ingest particulate food. This leads to different physiological and morphological adaptations for food processing, including the production and extrusion of solid fecal pellets, which are rather large in sarcoptiform mites. Few studies have investigated the defecation of such large fecal pellets, and available information is contradictory. We use a combination of non invasive microscopical techniques and in vivo examination to investigate the complex functional morphology of the anal region of the oribatid mite Archegozetes longisetosus Aoki. The opening of the anus is at least initiated by indirect muscular action via an increase of hemolymph pressure, through the action of dorsoventral muscles (dvm). Extrusion of the fecal pellet is accomplished by the prerectal muscle collar, with full opening of the anus and rotation and bowing of the plates probably resulting from pressure of the pellet. The sequential nature of these actions was demonstrated by many observations in which the anus opened only partially; these were concomitant with dmv contraction but pellets were not being extruded. All muscles directly connected to the anal and adanal regions assist in keeping the anus closed; they are antagonists to hydrostatic forces that are necessary for normal activity. Based on the literature, no obvious similarities were noted with defecation musculature in other particle‐feeding chelicerates, but most muscles can be homologized with those of more specialized oribatid mites. The function of the outer anal muscles has been modified in both Euphthiracaridae and Brachypylina to assist in providing general hemolymph pressure. J. A study was made of all cases of transitional cell cancer of the anus or rectum in the records of the University of California Medical Center, San Francisco. None was listed until 1945, then an additional seven between 1954 and 1960. During the latter period there were 192 cases of adenocarcinoma of the rectum, six cases of squamous cell or epidermoid rectal cancer and 12 cases of squamous cell cancer of the anus.Distinctive and highly malignant anal and rectal epithelial tumors will occasionally arise at or near the anorectal junction from inconstant embryologic entodermal cloacal vestiges. These atypical nonkeratinizing lesions are very similar microscopically to transitional cell tumors found in the cloacogenic portions of the lower genitourinary tract.Review of the literature indicates that the prognosis of cloacogenic anal and rectal lesions appears to be relatively graver than that for the more common adenocarcinomas and keratinizing squamous cell epitheliomas. Early diagnosis and prompt, radical excision seem to offer the only hope for survival.  相似文献

Bucephaloides gracilescens metacercaria is a common encysted trematode parasite of whiting, Merlangius merlangus (L), haddock, Melanogrammus aeglefinus (L), and hake, Merluccius merluccius (L), in the Irish Sea. The incidence of infection over an 18-month period was uniformly high (whiting, 95%; haddock and hake, 100%). The major site of infection in all three hosts was the cranial fluid surrounding the brain. Large numbers of cysts were also found embedded in the spinal nerves posterior to the anus in haddock and hake and in the auditory capsules in whiting and haddock. Other sites of infection included the spinal canal, cranial nerves (V, VII, VIII, X), eye muscles, orbits and nasal region. Results are discussed in the light of previous records of gasterostome trematodes in the Gadidae.  相似文献

Muscular recovery after exercise is an important topic in sports medicine, and accurate and quantitative measurements of changes in muscle are required to assess muscular recovery. In the present study, we report a new analytical method to measure muscular changes quantitatively. The technique consists of three independent methods: image processing of two-dimensional MR images, morphological analysis using three-dimensional MR images, and diffusion tensor MRI. Using this method, we investigated changes in the quadriceps and biceps femoris and gluteus maximus muscles and surrounding tissues before and after 1 mo of exercise wearing training equipment. The subjects were 21 healthy adult female volunteers, 14 of whom wore training equipment and 7 who wore normal equipment. The percentage of adipose tissue in muscle after exercise in subjects who wore training equipment was on average 4.4% (P < 0.001) lower than that before exercise, and the peak point of the dorsal hip after exercise with use of the equipment was on average 10.8 mm higher than that before exercise. Further, the fractional anisotropy of water diffusion in muscles increased by an average of 0.039 (P < 0.001) after exercise with use of training equipment. In contrast, there was no significant difference before and after exercise in subjects who wore normal equipment. These results show that walking exercise while wearing training equipment thickens and tightens the muscular fiber tissues. This noninvasive measurement approach may allow quantitation of the athletic ability of the muscles, which is not measured conventionally, and is an effective method for analyzing skeletal muscles.  相似文献

In the coral reef fish Thalassoma bifasciatum , males vary the number of sperm they release in successive spawnings with individual females in accordance with female body and clutch size. The morphology and histological structure of the male genital papilla, sperm duct, oviduct and surrounding musculature were examined in an effort to elucidate the mechanism permitting control of the number of gametes released during mating. In males, urinary and genital ducts pass separately through a common urogenital papilla and are associated with a striated sphincter muscle and a pair of thin, smooth ligament muscles arising from the first proximal anal fin radial and passing laterally around the sperm duct and oviduct. Within the papilla, the sperm duct resembles a narrow funnel whose inner walls contain longitudinal folds or septa protruding into the lumen of the duct. Dorsal to the papilla, the sperm duct enlarges and is divided into numerous, open chambers by irregular, longitudinal trabeculae. The wall of the duct and the trabeculae contain flat epithelium, smooth muscle and loose connective tissue. In females, the oviduct contains no trabeculae and is not divided into chambers. The ligament muscles are more thoroughly embedded in the sphincter muscle of the rectum than in males. Some ways in which these structures might control gamete release are suggested.  相似文献

We reexamined the morphological and functional properties of the hyoid, the tongue pad, and hyolingual musculature in chameleons. Dissections and histological sections indicated the presence of five distinctly individualized pairs of intrinsic tongue muscles. An analysis of the histochemical properties of the system revealed only two fiber types in the hyolingual muscles: fast glycolytic and fast oxidative glycolytic fibers. In accordance with this observation, motor-endplate staining showed that all endplates are of the en-plaque type. All muscles show relatively short fibers and large numbers of motor endplates, indicating a large potential for fine muscular control. The connective tissue sheet surrounding the entoglossal process contains elastin fibers at its periphery, allowing for elastic recoil of the hyolingual system after prey capture. The connective tissue sheets surrounding the m. accelerator and m. hyoglossus were examined under polarized light. The collagen fibers in the accelerator epimysium are configured in a crossed helical array that will facilitate limited muscle elongation. The microstructure of the tongue pad as revealed by SEM showed decreased adhesive properties, indicating a change in the prey prehension mechanics in chameleons compared to agamid or iguanid lizards. These findings provide the basis for further experimental analysis of the hyolingual system.  相似文献
