The specific species-rich high-altitude vegetation of the class Carici rupestris-Kobresietea bellardii Ohba 1974 (CK), with the occurrence of many arctic-alpine and endemic species, was chosen for a case study. The analyses were based on a dataset of 37,204 phytosociological relevés from the Slovak Vegetation Database. The traditional classification of the class CK, based on cluster analyses, was reproduced satisfactorily by means of formalised classification, based on the formal definitions created by the Cocktail method together with the frequency-positive fidelity index affiliation. Unequivocal assignment criteria for all eight associations of both alliances [Oxytropido-Elynion Br.-Bl. (1948) 1949 and Festucion versicoloris Krajina 1933] of the class CK were formulated. The formal delimitations followed the traditional ones very well. It was demonstrated that the results of applying the formal definitions created on the basis of a large, geographically stratified dataset capturing the occurrence of all vegetation types in Slovakia were highly similar in comparison with the traditional classification based on the results of cluster analysis. The reliability and the pros and cons of the expert system are also discussed.  相似文献

Hieracium vierhapperi (Zahn) Szeląg, known so far only from the Alps, was discovered in the Nízke Tatry Mts in Slovakia, as a new species to the Carpathians. Diagnostic characters, illustration and distribution as well as ecology of H. vierhapperi in the Nízke Tatry Mts are given. A key to distinguish H. vierhapperi from the morphologically related species is added. The Carpathian plants are tetraploid (2n = 36) and reproduce apomictically. The origin of H. sect. Cernua R. Uechtr in the Western Carpathians is briefly discussed.  相似文献

Changes in composition and structure of alpine and subalpine plant communities in relation to ecological factors were analysed in the Nízke Tatry Mts, Slovakia. Species cover values of vascular and non-vascular plants in each vegetation plot were recorded on the nine-degree scale. A data set of 156 relevés of alpine and subalpine vegetation was sampled recently during one year in the eastern part of the Nízke Tatry National Park. The data set was analysed by cluster analysis and Detrended Correspondence Analysis. analyses were carried out on the entire data set, including the subset of short grassland and dwarf-shrub vegetation. Major gradients and clusters were ecologically interpreted using Ellenberg indicator values. In the entire data set, the major gradient in species composition was associated with nutrient availability and the second most important gradient with light. In the case of short grassland and dwarf-shrub vegetation, the gradients were different. The first one was associated with soil reaction and the second gradient was associated with moisture. Clusters proposed by numerical classification reproduced many traditional phytosociological associations, namely Seslerietum distichae, Sphagno capillifolii-Empetretum nigri, Junco trifidi-Callunetum vulgaris, Juncetum trifidi, Dryopterido dilatatae-Pinetum mugo, Luzuletum obscurae, Agrostio pyrenaiceae-Nardetum strictae, while some other associations were less clearly differentiated (communities of the alliances Calamagrostion villosae, Adenostylion alliariae, Trisetion fusci, Cratoneuro filicini-Calthion laetae or Salicion herbaceae). The next clusters included Vaccinium and Festuca supina dominated communities and artificial roadside grasslands sown 50 years ago. Bryophytes and lichens were highly represented among diagnostic species of particular associations. Distribution pattern of particular plant communities was strongly influenced by site position either on northern or southern slope of the mountains.  相似文献

In a survey involving the abundance of the parasites ofLeucoptera meyricki Chesq. in relation to the height of the canopy level from 4 sites (altitudes 1524–1676 m) 10 hymenopterans were reared. Of these 7 were parasites and 3 hyperparasites. The mines from which most parasites emerged were collected at 90, 150 and 210 cm above the ground. Capped and uncapped canopies provided different ecosystems for mine colonization by parasites, althoughL. meyricki infestations occurred at all height levels within the canopy. The most abundant parasite species at all sites wereAchrysocharella ritchiei Ferriere,Zagrammosoma variegatum Masi,Pediobius coffeicola Ferrière andAgeniaspis sp.

The attention was focussed on the evaluation of the impact of trampling on autochtonous dwarf pine communities in the Tatra National Park (Vysoké Tatry Mts.). Use was made of combined phytocoenological and production-ecological methods. Results are described and discussed according to floristic-phytocoenological analyses, production-ecological analyses and the basic parameters of total organic matter supply.  相似文献

The influence of mediterranean pine vole (Microtus (Terricola) duodecimcostatus) mound-building activity in two Western Spanish Pyrenees plant communities (Mesobromion erecti and Festucion eskiae-Nardion strictae) were studied. The plants colonizing the gaps in these areas are different in the two cases considered. The plant composition of surrounding plant communities seems to be the main factor in revegetation. Mound-building activity changes the species' relative frequency and life-form spectrum, decreases the monocytyledonous/dicotyledonous ratio and increases diversity by diminishing the presence of dominant plant species.Abbreviations ME Mesobromion erecti - FN Festucion eskiae-Nardion strictae - (monocots) Monocotyledonous - (dicots) Dicotyledonous  相似文献

The seasonal flight activity of Platycerus caprea was studied at two sites in the Moravskoslezské Beskydy Mts in 2002–2004 using bark beetle pheromone traps of Theysohn® type. Platycerus caprea occurred at altitudes of 400 m up to 1200 m a.s.l. Seasonal flight activity in both males and females started at the beginning of May and continued until mid-June. At lower altitudes (up to ca 900 m a.s.l.), adults flew in the first half of May, at altitudes about 1000 m a.s.l. in the second half of May and in the highest sites more than 1200 m a.s.l. in the first half of June.  相似文献

Mire vegetation of the Muránska planina Mts and adjacent parts of neighbouring orographical units was studied in 1998–2005 using the standard Zürich-Montpellier (Braun-Blanquet) approach. We applied the defined phytosociological species groups and national formal definitions of mire associations in data processing. Within the classes Scheuchzerio-Caricetea fuscae and Oxycocco-Sphagnetea, seven associations (Caricetum davallianae, Carici flavae-Cratoneuretum filicini, Valeriano simplicifoliae-Caricetum flavae, Caricetum goodenowii, Carici echinatae-Sphagnetum, Carici rostratae-Sphagnetum and Pino mugo-Sphagnetum) were classified using formal classification criteria. Two other communities (Sphagno warnstorfii-Caricetum davallianae and Eriophoro vaginati-Sphagnetum recurvi) were not classified due to the lack of sufficient number of diagnostic species from species groups. The first DCA axis followed the mineral richness gradient. Vegetation plots were arranged from rich fens over moderately rich fens towards poor Sphagnum fens and raised bog. This fact was confirmed by a strong and significant correlation of the DCA site scores on the first axis with the measured pH and water conductivity as a surrogate of mineral richness. The second DCA axis correlated with mean Ellenberg’s indicator values for both temperature and soil nutrients. This pattern corresponds to that found in other regions of diversified Central-European landscape. We can therefore conclude that marginal geographical position and climatic specifity of the region under study did not alter gradient structure of the mire vegetation. When diversity of mire vegetation was compared to other regions in Slovakia by applying the same formal definitions to different regions, the study region was found to be conspicuously less diverse than the distribution centres of mire habitats in Slovakia (Orava and Vysoké Tatry regions), but more diverse than most of other marginal regions of mire distribution. Relatively high beta diversity of mires was probably caused by variable bedrock and local climate.  相似文献

Through tabular and average linkage cluster analyses, 872 phytosociological relevés, including 491 obtained from the literature and 381 of our own relevés obtained in the field, were ordered and classified. Based on these relevés, we then described and typified the associations, alliances, orders, subclasses, and classes defining the chionophilous communities of the boreal, temperate and Mediterranean climates of western North America. Diagnostic tables, ordination, clustering, and climatic, edaphic, and biogeographical data were used to establish floristic affinities among these syntaxa and interpret their distributions. Syntaxa were characterized by their floristic composition, physiognomy and biogeographical distribution, along with their position on the snow gradient. Finally, we ascribed the communities growing in temperate and Mediterranean climates to the new class Hieracio gracilis-Juncetea drummondii, including 3 subclasses, 6 orders, 12 alliances and 34 associations.  相似文献

Cyclamen somalense Thulin & Warfa, spec. nova, the first member of the genus known from tropical Africa, is described from the Al Miskat Mts in NE. Somalia. The new species is closely related to the E. MediterraneanC. persicum Mill. The disjunct Mediterranean element in the mountain flora of northern Somalia, to whichC. somalense belongs, is believed to be largely a relict of Tertiary origin.  相似文献

The paper presents the results of phytosociological research conducted on the vegetation of rock habitats in the montane and colline zones of the Pamir-Alai Mountains (Tajikistan). During field surveys done in 2010–2013, 122 phytosociological relevés were sampled. Plant species were recorded according to the Braun-Blanquet cover-abundance scale. The vegetation studies were carried out generally in the western Pamir-Alai and south-western Tian Shan Mts, especially in the Zeravshan, Hissar, Hazratishoh, Darvaz, Rushan, Turkestan, Kuramin and Vanch ranges. A synopsis of the rock communities of the montane and colline zones in Tajikistan is proposed. The collected material presents most of the variability among the plant communities of rock crevices and fissures on calcareous as well as acidic substrates in the montane and colline zones in Tajikistan. As a result of field research and numerical analyses, eight associations have been distinguished: Scutellarietum hissaricae, Scutellarietumschugnanicae, Scutellarietum zaprjagaevii, Scutellarietum baldshuanicae, Tylospermetumlignosae, Dionysietum involucratae A. Nowak, M. Nobis, S. Nowak & A. Nobis, 2014, Nanorrhinetum ramosissimi, Campanuletum albertii and the community of Scutellaria adenostegia within new alliance – Caricion koshevnikovii. The main factors determining the species composition of classified associations seem to be the geography of the distribution range, elevation above sea level, rock type and exposition.  相似文献

Forest communities dominated byPicea jezoensis (Yezo spruce) are described from across their entire distributional range in eastern Asia, including the territories of the Russian Far East and Japan. A total of 476 relevés are used representing the following dominant types of spruce forests: pureP. jezoensis, mixedP. jezoensis andAbies sachalinensis, mixedP. jezoensis andAbies nephrolepis, and purePicea glehnii communities. The vegetation is classified into 11 associations, 2 community types, 6 subassociations, 25 variants and 8 subvariants. Nine associations, including theAsaro heterotropoidis-Abietetum sachalinensis, Weigelo middendorffianae-Piceetum jezoensis, Lysichito-Piceetum glehnii, Swido albae-Piceetum obovatae, Oplopanaco elati-Piceetum jezoensis, Philadelpho tenuifolii-Piceetum jezoensis, Vaccinio-Piceetum jezoensis, Rhododendro aurei-Piceetum jezoensis, andMoneseto uniflorae-Piceetum jezoensis, are described for the first time. The ecology and structure of all communities are described and their syntaxonomy discussed. The communities are placed in three alliances,Piceion jezoensis, Abieti nephrolepidis-Piceion jezoensis andPino pumilae-Piceion jezoensis, all. nov. All of the communities described are considered to belong to the orderAbieti-Piceetalia of the classVaccinio-Piceetea.  相似文献

The classification of South Siberian meadows using the Braun-Blanquet approach was carried out on the basis of a geographically wide-ranging data set from the West Siberian Plain and the Altai-Sayanian mountain systems. Two main phytosociological types of meadows were distinguished within the classMolinio-Arrhenatheretea. The natural Siberian forest meadows were included in the orderCarici macrourae-Crepidetalia sibiricae comprising two alliances (Crepidion sibiricae, Aconito barbati-Vicion unijugae) and 7 associations. The anthropogenic types of dry meadows were included in the European-West Siberian orderArrhenatheretalia, comprising one alliance (Festucion pratensis) and 5 associations. DCA ordination revealed clear differences in the floristic composition of the higher units and in the diagnostic importance of the main ecological and phytosociological species groups.  相似文献

Forty Molinietalia communities were analyzed from the phytogeographical point of view in order to establish their distribution tendencies in Czechoslovakia in relation to the floristic regions of Hercynicum, Pannonicum and Carpaticum. Only few moist meadow communities of the Molinietalia order are found in the whole area under study; most of them have their distribution center in one of the floristic regions mentioned above. Eleven Calthion and two Molinion associations are confined to the Hercynicum, eight of them strictly. It is only in the Moravian and Slovak Pannonicum that all associations of the alliances Cnidion venosi and Veronico longifoliae-Lysimachion occur; they appear there together with two Molinion communities, the distribution of which is, however, a little wider. Three Calthenion communities show a still wider distribution, extending into the adjoining areas. One Calthenion community occurs in the Bohemian Pannonicum and its surroundings, two Calthenion associations have their distribution center in the Carpaticum, but they are not strictly confined to it.The author wants to express her thanks to Doc.
