Résumé La phosphatase acide et la phosphatase alcaline ont été localisées dans les cellules des cloisons septales stériles d'un Cérianthe. Chez les animaux à jeun, l'activité de la phosphatase acide a été observée dans les citernes de l'appareil de Golgi, les lysosomes et les phagosomes provenant d'un repas précédent. Chez les animaux nourris dans les 12 heures précédentes, le précipité est localisé dans les mêmes structures ainsi que dans des phagosomes récemment formés par l'absorption de proie. La phosphatase alcaline a été détectée sur les membranes plasmiques apicales et latérales et dans les phagosomes anciens.

Ultrastructural localization of acid and alkaline phosphatases in sterile septae of the anthozoa Pachycerianthus fimbriatus
Summary Acid and alkaline phosphatase activity has been localized in the cells of the sterile septae of starved and fed anthozoa. Acid phosphatase is present in lysosomes, in Golgi cisternae and old phagosomes of starved animals. In fed animals, the reaction is more intense and the number of lysosomes is increased. New phagosomes are loaded with lead phosphate. In starved animals, the alkaline phosphatase activity has been observed on the plasma membranes and in the old phagosomes.

2275 samples have been collected with the Continuous Plankton Recorder of Hardy at a standard depth of 10 meteres in the English Channel and the Bay of Biscay between 1958–1965. Biological as well as statistical analyses have been carried out to provide data on annual fluctuations of 34 species of copepods and phytoplankton. Methods of analysis of variance and the correlation coefficient analysis were used for this purpose. The results are presented in the form of triangular matrices showing the annual fluctuations of species in the different areas considered and the relationship between different species in each area. These methods allowed us to define separate groups of species that could be called annual communities.

We test herein the hypothesis that the succession of low tides — during which biomass increases — and high tides — during which biomass decreases — controls the dynamic behaviour of the microphytobenthic compartment. Results indeed show that during a complete lunar cycle (14 d) biomass exhibits a series of oscillations due to biomass increases during low tides and decreases during high tides. Moreover, the datasets show that the production level is in the range of previously recorded values and they indicate that the major part of the photosynthetically produced biomass during low tide can be exported into the water column during high tide. This clearly suggests that microphytobenthos is the major autochtonous source of organic matter production in the littoral zone and that it directly supplies the associated pelagic trophic web. 相似文献

The investigation of neural activity in OCD (Obsessive Compulsive Disorder) has allowed to link obsessive compulsive symptoms and cortico-striatal dysfunction. In the present article, we try to show the significance of cognition in an integrative physiopathologic model of OCD. Clinically, patients are unable to inhibit irrelevant thoughts or actions. In a cognitive way, decision making, planification or organisation are impaired. Those impairments are related to an executive deficit, which depends on frontal structures. Finally, we present a current study which tries to identify executive deficit functions related to cerebral dysfunction in patients presenting different OCD features (washing, checking, hoarding). 相似文献

Growing numbers of HIV seronegative women want to have children with HIV infected partners by artificial insemination. The most sensitive assays for showing the presence of the virus are the coculture method and the DNA-PCR that are able to detect proviral load. HIV is detected from non spermatozoal mononuclear cells, seminal fluid but it was not found in spermatozoa fraction. But we know, by in vitro studies, that HIV can bound to and enter spermatozoa. Thus artificial insemination between HIV seropositive man and seronegative woman lead to a risk of contamination even with purified spermatozoa. Today, any virological assay is able to affirm that specimen is not infectious. 相似文献

Palaeolithic archaeology in Tohoku region has long been discussed on constructing chronology, however it is difficult to build reliable chronological order because of poor stratigraphic excavations. In recent radiocarbon dating has advanced. In this paper I discuss the relation between chronology and radiocarbon dating in Tohoku region. At first, I categorize the Palaeolithic industries and establish the chronology by analyzing tool typology, lithic technology, and stratigraphic data. I correlate it with radiocarbon data from sites in Tohoku region. The result of analysis shows that Upper Palaeolithic industries are divided into 18 categories and 8 periods on chronology. The calibration curve IntCal 13 indicated that oldest Early Upper Palaeolithic site appeared around 37,000 cal BP, and late Upper Palaeolithic started about 27,000 cal BP. The pottery first appeared as far back as around 16,000 cal BP. Now we do not have enough radiocarbon data, so we have to gather and examine more 14C data. 相似文献

Summary Acid phosphatase activity detected by the Gomori method applied to E.M. appears electively in all the golgian dictyosomes and in the young lysosomes. In the dictyosomes, this activity is more pronounced than it has been shown hitherto and may be detected in the whole bulk of the cisternae. Nevertheless the activity is greater in the lateral and distal parts of the system. A morphological analysis of numerous dictyosomes, both on normal and on cytochemical preparations, allows to establish a representation of the flow of the enzyme through two directions: proximo-distal and medio-lateral.Résumé L'activité phosphatasique acide, mise en évidence par la réaction de Gomori apparait de façon élective dans tous les dictyosomes golgiens ainsi que dans les lysosomes jeunes. Dans les dictyosomes, l'activité est considérable au point qu'elle peut être décelée dans l'ensemble des citernes. Néanmoins, elle est prépondérante dans les parties latérales et distale du système. FDG PET/CT is a relevant examination for patients with high-risk melanoma. For early stages with thickness ≥ 1 mm, lymph node ultrasound, and when negative, lymphoscintigraphy for determination of sentinel lymph node, remain necessary. For more advanced stages, FDG PET can map the lesions and guide the therapeutic strategy, either with surgical management, or systemic therapy (or sometimes both). In patients with high-risk melanoma, it allows to detect relapses early, including in asymptomatic patients, with a potential impact on therapeutic decisions. Beside the detection of classical secondary localizations, FDG PET has the advantage of allowing whole-body imaging, the identification of soft tissue lesions, frequent in melanomas, as well as rarer sites of involvement, such as those of the gastro-intestinal tract. For the assessment of cerebral and leptomeningeal involvement, MRI remains mandatory. Evolutions in the therapeutic management of advanced melanomas, and the search for biomarkers to guide the therapeutic strategy, ask for more refined analyses of PET, with metabolic tumour volume analysis and radiomics. The combination of metabolic imaging data with biological and molecular data, and the development of new PET tracers may improve the assessment of prognosis and the prediction of response to therapies, in order to tailor the therapeutic strategy to each patient. Further studies are needed to consolidate the role of PET/CT in this disease for which numerous therapeutic innovations are emerging. 相似文献

Résumé Les techniques d'immunofluorescence, d'immunoenzymatique, d'imprégnation ou de coloration sélective des cellules endocrines digestives, et de microscopie électronique ont été combinées pour permettre l'identification et l'étude des cellules à somatostatine chez des animaux normaux ou ayant reçu de la L-Dopa. Ces cellules n'ont pas de fluorescence induite à la formaldéhyde et ne sont que très faiblement argyrophiles en technique de Grimélius; elles ne réagissent pas en technique de Sevier-Munger, Hellerström-Hellman, Mac Conaill. Après administration de L-Dopa elles acquièrent und fluorescence (cellules GIC) et deviennent nettement argyrophiles en technique de Grimélius, plus faiblement en technique de Sevier-Munger.En microscopie électronique après identification immunologique sur coupe semi-fine on peut analyser les mêmes cellules sur coupes fines. Il s'agit de cellules basigranuleuses présentant, outre des grains denses difficiles souvent à distinguer de ceux des cellules G, trois structures fines caractéristiques par leur constance et leur coexistence; ce sont: des grains peu denses et homogènes—des graïns centrés par un matériel filamenteux grossier—des microfilaments nombreux. Les cellules à somatostatine semblent différentes des cellules X et D1.

Ultrastructural identification and immunocytochemical study of somatostatin cells in antral mucosa of the rabbit and the mouse
Summary In normal and L-Dopa treated rabbits and mice, combined immunochemical methods, photonic histological methods for endocrine cells and ultrastructural methods were used to elucidate ultrastructure and properties of somatostatin cells of the antral mucosa. In normal rabbits, immunoreactive cells giving no fluorescence with Falck's technic, they corresponded neither to serotonin cells nor gastrin cells; they were unreactive with Fontana, Hellerström-Hellmann, Sevier-Munger and Mac Conaill methods but very slightly stained with Grimelius methods. In L-Dopa treated animals somatostatin cells gave formaldehyde induced fluorescence (they were included in GIC cells, thus in Apud group), exhibited a good reaction with Grimelius and Sevier-Munger methods.In order to carry out the alternate semi-thin/thin section procedure (semi-thin sections for immunofluorescence or immunoenzymatic detection and serial thin sections counterstained for conventional ultrastructure studies), immunological treatment were performed on M.F.F.—glutaraldehyde fixed small fragments of mucosa before inclusion in Epon 812 or, after inclusion, on semi-thin sections. We succeeded in identifying ultrastructurally somatostatin cells. They displayed round or ovoïd shaped secretory granules, and three constant typical structures: numerous microfilaments—light and homogenous granules, often seeming like lipids—granules made up by coarsely filamentous cores surrounded by a large empty halo. Somatostatin cells seemed different of X cells because of their predominant localisation in the antral mucosa (in the rabbit X cells were predominantly in the fundus) and because of the lack of nuclear microfilaments; they also seemed ultrastructuraly different of D1 cells.

We used the Hallé and Oldeman's groups of the present and of the future, as obtained by an architectural analysis of trees, in order to test the hypothesis that the group of young (or potential) trees is more sensitive to parameters of present landscape structure than the group of old trees. The landscape structure and the tree species richness of 11 remnant forest fragments, located in the riparian corridor of the Jacaré-Pepira river (S.E. Brazil), were studied. The results showed that the tree species richness may not be linked to the landscape structure changes that have been occurring since 1962 (date of the oldest aerial photographs from the region). The studied communities are probably still responding to the main landscape structure changes that occurred during the second half of the 19th and the beginning of the 20th century as a consequence of the expansion of coffee plantations. Furthermore, the group of the future presented significant correlations with a greater number of landscape indices, confirming the initial hypothesis of greater sensitivity of the younger trees to the present landscape structure. It appears also that the richness of the group of the future is mainly affected by the present landscape structure while the richness of the group of the present results from interactions with present and past landscape structures. 相似文献

PurposeWe investigated the prognostic significance of F-18 fluorodeoxyglucose (FDG) uptake measured as maximum Standardized Uptake Value (SUVmax) in primary tumor by positron emission tomography/computed tomography (PET/CT) in cervical cancer. The secondary objective was to determine the accuracy of the PET/CT for detecting pelvic lymph node (PLN) and para-aortic lymph node (PALN) metastases.MethodsThis retrospective study included 49 consecutive patients with stage IB1 to IVB cervical cancer. Univariate analysis was performed to determine the relationships between SUVmax value and pathological prognostics factors. Survival was estimated by Kaplan-Meier method. The gold standard of LN metastases was histologic.ResultsA significant difference in SUVmax was observed between stage I and stage II, stage I and stage IV and tumor size ≤ 4 cm and > 4 cm (P = 0.0001). There was a significant correlation between the SUVmax and tumor maximal size (r = 0.597) (P < 0.0001). PLN metastasis was found to be predictive of progression-free survival (P = 0.0007). The negative predictive value (NPV) of the PET/CT for PALN was 100% for locally advanced cervical carcinoma in 24 patients. The specificity and NPV of the PET/CT for PLN in eight early-stage cervical cancer were 100% and 87.5% (7/8) respectively. The PET/CT false-negative PLN measured less than 2 mm.ConclusionOur results demonstrate a correlation between SUVmax and tumor maximal size, which represents an indicator of tumor aggressiveness. PET/CT is effective to predict the absence of PALN in locally advanced cervical carcinoma. PET/CT is not sufficient to predict PLN in early-stage cancer without lymphadenectomy. 相似文献
