Summary The 6-PGD-polymorphism has been investigated in a series of 220 families from Southwestern Germany comprising 546 children. The formal hypothesis two autosomal loci 6-PGD_A and 6-PGD_B, two alleles 6-PGD_B ^b and 6-PGD_B ^b1 at the locus 6-PGD_B covers the results.

Zusammenfassung Das 6-PGD-Isoenzymsystem bei den vier Vertretern der Ordnung Ungulata: Pferd, Rind, Schwein und Schaf wird von einem autosomalen Genlocus kontrolliert. Bei Pferd und Schwein fand sich ein genetisch determinierter Polymorphismus mit jeweils 2 Allelen an diesem Genlocus.

Summary The 6-PGD isoenzyme system in the four Ungulata species horse, cattle, swine and sheep is controlled by one autosomal gene locus. At this locus two alleles have been found in the horse and swine.

Zur Genetik der 6-Phosphogluconatdehydrogenase (EC: 1.1.1.44): Eine neue Variante F (Freiburg)

Zusammenfassung Unter 2455 Personen fand sich zweimal eine Variante mit einer schneller wandernden Fraktion. Der Phänotypus ist der Friedenship-Variante ähnlich, aber nicht durch NADP im Gel modifizierbar. Die Kinderphänotypen in den Familien der Probanden sprechen nicht gegen die Annahme eines Alleles 6-PGD^f. Die Genhäufigkeit für 6-PGD^f liegt bei 0,0004.

A new variant F of phosphogluconate dehydrogenase

Summary Within 2455 individuals two have a faster moving variant 6-PGD AF. The zymogram is similar to the Friendship variant but not altered after addition of NADP to the starch gel. The allele is segregating in the two families. The gene frequency of 6-PGD^f is 0.0004.

Summary The polymorphism of adenylate kinase has been investigated in a series of 220 families with 530 children from southwestern Germany. The segregation of the children's phenotypes is in agreement with the formal two-allele-model. —The analysis of linkage for the loci ABO and AK confirms the analysis of Rapley et al.; the distance between the loci seems to be not smaller than 0.1, not greater than 0.2.

Zur Soziologie der Cymbalaria-Parietarietea,am Beispiel der Mauerteppich-Gesellschaften Italiens

Zusammenfassung Es wird, mit Gründen belegt, vorgeschlagen, die im mediterranen und atlantischen Europa weit verbreiteten, Stickstoff- und Feuchtigkeitsliebenden Mauerunkraut-(Mauerteppich-) Gesellschaften in einer eigenen Klasse der Cymbalario-Parietarietea zusammenzufassen.An Hand pflanzensoziologischer Aufnahmen aus Italien wird gezeigt, daß innerhalb dieser Pflanzengesellschafts-Gruppe neben dem Oxali-ParietarietumBr.-Bl. 31 noch ein selbständiges Kentranthetum rubri und Erigeronetum karvinskiani unterschieden werden muß. In Mitteleuropa gehören in die neue Klasse neben dem Cheirantho-Parietarietum diffusae (Siss. 41)Oberd. 54 auch das Cymbalarietum muralisGörs 66.

Summary Arguments are given for combining the nitrophilous and hygrophilous wall-weed communities, widespread through mediterranean and atlantic Europe, to a new class Cymbalario-Parietarietea. Plant sociological material from Italy shows, that in this region in addition to the Oxali-ParietarietumBr.-Bl. 31 the Kentranthetum rubri and the Erigeronetum karvinskiani have to be distinguished as separate associations. In Central Europe the Cymbalarietum muralisGörs 66 has to be put into the new class besides the Cheirantho-Parietarietum diffusae (Siss. 41)Oberd. 54.

Zur Formalgenetik der Phosphoglucoseisomerase (EC: 5.3.1.9)

Zusammenfassung Es werden Befunde aus einer Sippe mit PGI-Defizienz mitgeteilt. Die beiden Patienten haben eine nichtsphärocytäre hämolytische Anämie, sie besitzen den homozygoten Phänotypus PGI9. Die Eltern sind heterozygot PGI 9-1. Der Zymogrammvergleich von Eltern und Kindern spricht für die Hypothese, daß die PGI ein dimeres Molekül sei, das normalerweise aus identischen Polypeptidketten aufgebaut ist.

Formal genetics of phosphoglucoseisomerase investigations of a family with PGI-Deficiency

Summary In a family two children exhibited a non-sphaerocytic hemolytic anemia; they revealed the homozygous phenotype PGI9. The parents are heterozygous PGI 9-1. The comparison of the zymogram pattern of both parents and children allows the conclusion that the PGI molecule is a dimer which has identical subunits in homozygous individuals.

Kombinierte elektrophoretische Darstellung der Adenylatkinase (AK) und der 6-Phosphogluconat-Dehydrogenase (6-PGD)

Zusammenfassung Es wird eine Methode beschrieben, die einen parallelen Nachweis zweier Isoenzympolymorphismen ermöglicht. Nach gemeinsamer stärkegelelektrophoretischer Auftrennung werden die Isoenzymmuster Adenylatkinase und 6-Phosphogluconat-Dehydrogenase angefärbt und differenziert. Die Auftrennung der Isoenzyme ist ausreichend und mit den Originalergebnissen vergleichbar.

Simultaneous gel electrophoresis of adenylate kinase and 6-phosphogluconate-dehydrogenase

Summary Following simultaneous gel electrophoresis isoenzyme patterns of adenylate kinase and 6-phosphogluconate-dehydrogenase are stained. Differentiation of all phenotypes is enabled. Results are comparable with those obtained by original methods.

Isoenzymes of 6-PGD were investigated in three Equidae species. In this family the enzyme 6-PGD is controlled by one autosomal gene locus with differential allele frequencies occurring in the horse, mule and donkey.
