Relations between the brain hemispheres were studied during the human perception of various types of Russian intonations. Fifty healthy subjects with normal hearing took part in the tests based on the method of monaural presentation of stimuli—the sentences that represented the main kinds of Russian emotional and linguistic intonations. The linguistic intonations expressed: various communicative types of sentences; completeness/incompleteness of a statement; various types of the syntagmatic segmentation of the statements; various logical stress. Sentences that required the identification of the emotion quality were used to study the perception of emotional intonations. The results of statistical analysis of latent periods and errors made by the test subjects demonstrated a significant preference of theright hemisphere in perceiving emotional intonations and complete/incomplete sentences; sentences with different logical stress were perceived mainly by theleft hemisphere. No significant differences were found in the perception of various communicative types of sentences and statements with different syntagmatic segmentation. The obtained data also testify to a difference in the degree of the involvement of human hemispheres in the perception and analysis of prosodic characteristics of the speech in males and females.  相似文献

In conditions of tachistoscopic presentation of visual stimuli, healthy (male and female) right-handed subjects carried out a paired comparison of the stimuli presented unilaterally and in the center of the visual field. In case of recognition of images of words and objects, the number of correct answers and motor reaction time usually did not significantly differ at two interstimuli intervals (1 and 10 s). In comparing images of faces, there also were no differences by the number of reactions, and the reaction time was less at the intervals of 1 s. The left hemisphere dominated at the identification of words and female faces, the right one--at the recognition of male faces. When the right visual field was stimulated images of various classes were recognized more differentially than at the stimulation of the left visual field. The male subjects had more prominent interhemispheric differences than the females. The increase of the interstimuli interval from 1 to 10 s brought to a weakening of the functional interhemispheric asymmetry and decreasing of the differences between the male and female subjects. The obtained data show that in the processes connected with short-time memory, functional interhemispheric asymmetry is basically formed at the initial stages of the information processing.  相似文献

Changes in the wet weight of the cerebral hemispheres and in their DNA content and concentration were studied in CBA mice (non-SPF, Velaz, Prague) aged from 1 to 270 days. It was found that hemisphere wet weight rose by 350% between the 1st and 14th day and by a further 11% between the 14th and 180th day. In the next three months it remained stable. The total DNA content rose by 30% between the 1st and 2nd day and by 45% between the 1st and 10th day; changes between the 10th and 180th day were non-significant, but a decrease of 16% occurred by the 270th day. Between the 1st and 2nd day the DNA concentration did not alter, or rose non-significantly (+20%). Towards the end of the 2nd postnatal week it fell exponentially (-75%). Changes in the DNA content and concentration indicate that the rate of cell proliferation in mouse cerebral hemispheres is highest on the first two days after birth, while the general chemical composition of the hemisphere develops fastest between the 2nd and 14th day. The constancy of the DNA content between the 10th and 180th day implies that cell division in the hemispheres of adolescent and adult mice primarily reflects renewal of the non-neuronal cell population.  相似文献
