以8个优良的晒晾烟品种(系)为亲本,配置完全双列杂交,进而利用基于混合线性模型的统计学方法,对晾晒烟株高、叶数、节距、腰叶长、腰叶宽以及茎围6个主要农艺性状进行遗传分析。结果表明,在多数农艺性状遗传中加性效应和显性效应都起重要作用,但所占比例有所不同,腰叶长和叶数主要受加性效应影响,而株高、节距、腰叶宽和茎围性状显性效应起主要作用;6种重要农艺性状狭义遗传率由高到低分别为:腰叶长>叶数>株高>节距>腰叶宽>茎围,其中,腰叶长和叶数狭义遗传率较高,分别为0.35和0.33,适合进行早代选择。另外,估算了供试材料的遗传效应值,并对各亲本及组合的育种利用价值进行了评价。本研究为晒晾烟重要农艺性状遗传改良提供了一定的理论依据。  相似文献

 A study was conducted on a two-row/six-row cross of barley to (1) determine the yield potential, (2) detect epistasis and genetic correlations, (3) estimate the heritabilities of six agronomic traits, and (4) study the effect of the V locus on the agronomic traits in the barley cross. The effects of five other marker loci (Re2, s, R, Est1, and Est5) on the six agronomic traits were also studied. One hundred and ninety doubled-haploid (DH) lines were derived from a ‘Leger’/CI9831 cross using the bulbosum method. The DH lines and the two parents were tested for grain yield, test weight, seed weight, plant height, lodging, and heading/maturity at two locations in Eastern Canada in 1993. Additive×additive epistasis and genetic correlations were detected for some of the agronomic traits. Many of the heritability estimates were high; however, significant progress in yield improvement would be difficult to achieve because of a low mean yield of the DH lines. Under the growing conditions in Eastern Canada, six-row lines outyielded two-row by 20–27%. Six-row lines, however, were associated with low test weight, low seed weight, and severe lodging. Some two-row lines yielded higher than the two-row parent CI9831, but none of the six-row lines yielded higher than the six-row parent ‘Leger’. The R, s, and Est5 loci were associated with the six agronomic traits, but the Est1 locus was apparently not associated with the agronomic traits. The effect of the Re2 locus was probably due to its close linkage with the V locus. Further studies are needed to determine if superior six-row lines can be developed from two-row/six-row crosses. 为了从云南苦荞种质资源中挖掘优异种质资源,拓宽苦荞遗传基础,以48份苦荞种质资源为材料研究了6个主要农艺性状和5个品质性状的遗传多样性。结果表明,云南的苦荞资源存在着丰富的遗传多样性,6个农艺性状中株粒重的变异系数为34.4%最大,品质性状中总黄酮含量的变异系数为51.72%最大。聚类结果表明,将48份材料聚为3大类,可区分为低产型、矮秆高产型和中秆高产型。6个主要农艺性状和5个品质性状的主成分分析结果表明,前3个累计贡献率分别达84.105%和80.332%,各主成分性状载荷值反映了主要数量性状的育种选择潜力。综合分析种质资源的主要农艺性状,可为云南苦荞种质资源的利用提供有效的科学依据。  相似文献

The extreme climate of the Canadian Prairies poses a major challenge to improve yield. Although it is possible to breed for yield per se, focusing on yield‐related traits could be advantageous because of their simpler genetic architecture. The Canadian flax core collection of 390 accessions was genotyped with 464 simple sequence repeat markers, and phenotypic data for nine agronomic traits including yield, bolls per area, 1,000 seed weight, seeds per boll, start of flowering, end of flowering, plant height, plant branching, and lodging collected from up to eight environments was used for association mapping. Based on a mixed model (principal component analysis (PCA) + kinship matrix (K)), 12 significant marker‐trait associations for six agronomic traits were identified. Most of the associations were stable across environments as revealed by multivariate analyses. Statistical simulation for five markers associated with 1000 seed weight indicated that the favorable alleles have additive effects. None of the modern cultivars carried the five favorable alleles and the maximum number of four observed in any accessions was mostly in breeding lines. Our results confirmed the complex genetic architecture of yield‐related traits and the inherent difficulties associated with their identification while illustrating the potential for improvement through marker‐assisted selection.  相似文献

Despite numerous adaptive scenarios concerning the evolution of plant life-history phenologies few studies have examined the heritable basis for and genetic correlations among these phenologies. Documentation of genetic variation for and covariation among reproductive phenologies is important because it is this variation/covariation that will determine the potential for response to evolutionary forces. To address this problem, I conducted a breeding experiment to determine narrow-sense heritabilities for and genetic correlations among the phenologies of life-history events and plant size in Chamaecristafasciculata, a temperate summer annual plant species. Paternal families showed no evidence of heritable variation for two estimates of plant size, six measures of reproductive phenology or two fitness components. Similarly, paternal estimates of genetic correlations among these traits were low or zero. In contrast, maternal estimates of heritability suggested the influence of maternal parent on one estimate of plant size and four phenological traits. Likewise, maternal effects influenced maternal estimates of genetic correlations. These maternal effects can arise from three sources: endosperm nuclear, cytoplasmic genetic and/or maternal phenotypic. The degree to which the phenology of one life-history trait acts as a constraint on the evolution of other phenological traits depends on the source of the maternal influence in this species.  相似文献

Jatropha curcas, internationally and locally known, respectively, as physic nut and pinh?o manso, is a highly promising species for biodiesel production in Brazil and other countries in the tropics. It is rustic, grows in warm regions and is easily cultivated. These characteristics and high-quality oil yields from the seeds have made this plant a priority for biodiesel programs in Brazil. Consequently, this species merits genetic investigations aimed at improving yields. Some studies have detected genetic variability in accessions in Africa and Asia. We have made the first genetic evaluation of J. curcas collected from Brazil. Our objective was to quantify genetic diversity and to estimate genetic parameters for growth and production traits and seed oil content. We evaluated 75 J. curcas progenies collected from Brazil and three from Cambodia. The mean oil content in the seeds was 31%, ranging from 16 to 45%. No genetic correlation between growth traits and seed oil content was found. However, high coefficients of genetic variation were found for plant height, number of branches, height of branches, and stem diameter. The highest individual narrow-sense heritabilities were found for leaf length (0.35) and width (0.34), stem diameter (0.24) and height of branches (0.21). We used a clustering algorithm to genetically identify the closest and most distant progenies, to assist in the development of new cultivars. Geographical diversity did not necessarily represent the genetic diversity among the accessions collected. These results are important for the continuity of breeding programs, aimed at obtaining cultivars with high grain yield and high oil content in seeds.  相似文献

Knowledge of heritability and genetic correlations are of central importance in the study of adaptive trait evolution and genetic constraints. We use a paternal half-sib-full-sib breeding design to investigate the genetic architecture of three life-history and morphological traits in the seed beetle, Callosobruchus maculatus. Heritability was significant for all traits under observation and genetic correlations between traits (r(A)) were low. Interestingly, we found substantial sex-specific genetic effects and low genetic correlations between sexes (r(MF)) in traits that are only moderately (weight at emergence) to slightly (longevity) sexually dimorphic. Furthermore, we found an increased sire ([Formula: see text]) compared to dam ([Formula: see text]) variance component within trait and sex. Our results highlight that the genetic architecture even of the same trait should not be assumed to be the same for males and females. Furthermore, it raises the issue of the presence of unnoticed environmental effects that may inflate estimates of heritability. Overall, our study stresses the fact that estimates of quantitative genetic parameters are not only population, time, environment, but also sex specific. Thus, extrapolation between sexes and studies should be treated with caution.  相似文献

Quantitative genetics has been an immensely powerful tool in manipulating the phenotypes of domesticated plants and animals. Much of the predictive power of quantitative genetics depends on the breeder's control over the context in which phenotype and mating are being expressed. In the natural world, these contexts are often difficult to describe, let alone control. We are left, therefore, with a poor understanding of the limits of quantitative genetics in natural populations. One of the crucial contextual elements for assessing breeding value is the genetic background in which an individual's genes are being assessed. When interacting genes are polymorphic within a population, the degree of mating among relatives can influence the correlations among mates and the predictions of a response to selection. Population structure can strongly influence the degree to which dominance and epistasis influences additive genetic variance and heritability. The extent of inbreeding can also influence heritabilities through its effect on the environmental component of phenotypic variance. The applicability of standard quantitative genetic breeding designs to the measurement of heritabilities in natural populations therefore depends in part on: (1) the mating system of the population; and (2) the importance of gene interactions in determining phenotypic variation. We tested for an effect of mating structure on the partitioning of phenotypic variance and heritability by comparing two breeding designs in a common environment. Both breeding designs used 139 pollen parents taken from mapped locations in a population of Plantago lanceolata L., and crossed to 280 seed parents from the same population. One design was random-mating, the second was biased toward near-neighbor matings to an extent determined by field measure of pollen-mediated gene flow distances. The offspring were grown randomly mixed in a common garden. Nine traits were measured: central corm diameter, number of leaves, area of the most recently fully expanded leaf, density of hairs (cm-2) on the leaves, dry weight per unit leaf area, photosynthetic capacity, transpiration rates, water use efficiency, and reproductive dry weight. Heritabilities and variance components from the two designs were compared using randomization tests. None of the variance components or the heritabilities differed significantly between breeding designs at the 0.05 level. The test could distinguish differences between the heritabilities measured in the two breeding designs as small as 0.11, on average. Thus, for the degree of inbreeding normally exhibited in P. lanceolata there is insufficient gene interaction present within populations to influence the partitioning of variance between additive and nonadditive components or to influence heritability estimates to a meaningful extent. We suggest that for Plantago other sources of variation in heritability estimates, such as maternal effects and genotype × environment interactions, are more important influences than the interaction between inbreeding and gene interactions, and standard heritability estimate based on random breeding is as accurate as one taking the natural mating structure into account.  相似文献

对收集于重庆市的103份大豆地方品种进行了表型遗传多样性分析,并利用主成分分析和聚类分析对其进行了群体表型特点的研究,研究结果表明,重庆地区大豆地方种质资源以灰色茸毛、黄粒、褐色脐居多,个体之间数量性状上存在较大变异。主成分分析以3个主成分反映了10个农艺性状的大部分信息,将主要农艺性状归纳成产量因子、生长势因子及籽粒因子。聚类分析将103份地方种质资源聚为6个类群, 同一地区的大部分地方品种表现较为相似,少部分地方品种差异大,品种类群间的表型分化与地理分布既有一定的联系又不绝对相关。利用这些种质选配育种亲本应关注各类群间性状差异作选择,而不能仅关注地理来源选择。  相似文献

鹰嘴豆种质资源农艺性状遗传多样性分析   总被引:12,自引:2,他引:10  
以100份鹰嘴豆种质资源为材料,应用聚类分析和主成分分析方法,对15个主要农艺性状的遗传多样性进行分析。结果表明,参试材料存在广泛的遗传多样性。其中,多样性指数最高的是株高,其次是百粒重;性状变异系数最大的是单株荚数,其次是单株粒重;基于各种质间形态标记的遗传差异,将100份鹰嘴豆种质聚类并划分为4大类群。第Ⅰ类群可作为选育丰产中粒型和株高适中的品种,第Ⅱ类群可作为选育矮秆耐密及特异粒色(型)品种,第Ⅲ类群丰产性较差可作为选育子粒球型、光滑的品种,第Ⅳ类群可作为选育大粒型、适宜机械化收获的品种。9个数量性状的主成分分析结果表明,前4个主成分累计贡献率达73.91%,各主成分性状载荷值反映了主要数量性状的育种选择潜力。综合分析种质资源农艺性状,为鹰嘴豆的有效利用提供一定的科学依据。  相似文献

Recent studies have shown that body size is a heritable trait phenotypically correlated with several fitness components in wild populations of the cactophilic fly Drosophila buzzatii. To obtain further information on size-related variation, heritabilities as well as genetic and phenotypic correlations among size-related traits of several body parts (head, thorax and wings) were estimated. The study was carried out on an Argentinean natural population in which size-related selection was previously detected. The genetic parameters were estimated using offspring-parent regressions (105 families) in the laboratory G2 generation of a sample of wild flies. The traits were also scored in Wild-Caught Flies (WCF). Laboratory-Reared Flies (LRF) were larger and less variable than WCF. Although heritability estimates were significant for all traits, heritabilities were higher for thorax-wing traits than for head traits. Phenotypic and genetic correlations were all positive. The highest genetic correlations were found between traits which are both functionally and developmentally related. Genetic and phenotypic correlations estimated in the lab show similar correlation patterns (r = 0.49; TP = 0.02, Mantel's test). However, phenotypic correlations were found to be typically larger in WCF than in LRF. The genetic correlation matrix estimated in the relatively homogeneous lab environment is not simply a constant multiplicative factor of the phenotypic correlation matrix estimated in WCF. 利用包括基因型与环境互作的加性-显性遗传模型,对14个烤烟品种(系)及其配制的41个杂交组合在4个环境下的7个农艺性状表现进行遗传分析。结果表明,株高、节距、腰叶宽主要受加性效应控制,叶数、腰叶长受显性×环境互作效应影响最大,茎围以加性×环境互作效应、显性×环境互作效应为主,产量以加性效应、显性×环境互作效应为主。适应当地生态条件的品种(系)具有较高的正向加性效应。许多组合的显性主效应及在各试验点的显性×环境互作效应在方向上不尽一致,杂交组合的选配宜针对特定的生态环境进行。性状相关分析表明,大多数成对性状的各项相关系数为正值,且多以加性遗传相关为主,可利用株高对产量进行间接选择。

采用禾谷类作物种子数量性状的遗传模型,分析了灿型黑米稻品种双列杂交F1和F2种子的粒重,粒长,粒宽和粒长/粒宽等粒形性状的遗传效应及其与米粒中矿质元素Fe,Zn,Mn和P含量的遗传相关性,结果表明:4种粒形性状同时受制于种子直接遗传效应,母体效应和细胞质作用影响,其中种子直接遗传效应比母体效应和细胞质效应的作用更大,且种子直接遗传效应以加性效应占主导,粒重,粒宽和粒长/粒宽的种子直接遗传率较高,杂种早代单粒选择效果较好,粒长的种子直接遗传率和母体遗传率均属中等,较高世代的杂种进行单株选择和单粒选择均有一定效果,4种粒形性状与其米粒中矿质元素Fe,Zn,Mn和P含量表现较强的种子直接加性相关,直接显性相关,细胞质相关,母体加性相关和母体显性相关,在特种稻育种实践中,可以通过粒形性的间接选择,达到改良其矿质元素含量等营养品质性状的目标。  相似文献

Records of Holstein cows from the Dairy Records Processing Center at Raleigh, NC were edited to obtain three data sets: 65,720 first, 50,694 second, and 65,445 later lactations. Correlations among yield traits and somatic cell score were estimated with three different models: 1) bovine somatotropin (bST) administration ignored, 2) bST administration as a fixed effect and 3) administration of bST as part of the contemporary group (herd-year-month-bST). Heritability estimates ranged from 0.13 to 0.17 for milk, 0.12 to 0.20 for fat, 0.14 to 0.16 for protein yields, and 0.08 to 0.09 for somatic cell score. Estimates were less for later than first lactations. Estimates of genetic correlations among yields ranged from 0.35 to 0.85 with no important differences between estimates with the 3 models. Estimates for lactation 2 agreed with estimates for lactation 1. Estimates of genetic correlations for later lactations were generally greater than for lactations 1 and 2 except between milk and protein yields. Estimates of genetic correlations between yields and somatic cell score were mostly negative or small (-0.45 to 0.11). Estimates of environmental correlations among yield traits were similar with all models (0.77 to 0.97). Estimates of environmental correlations between yields and somatic cell score were negative (-0.22 to -0.14). Estimates of phenotypic correlations among yield traits ranged from 0.70 to 0.95. Estimates of phenotypic correlations between yields and somatic cell score were small and negative. For all three data sets and all traits, no important differences in estimates of genetic parameters were found for the two models that adjusted for bST and the model that did not.  相似文献

Genetic analysis across a whole plant genome based on pedigree information offers considerable potential for enhancing genetic gain from plant breeding programs through quantitative trait loci (QTL) mapping and marker-assisted selection. Here, we report its application for graphically genotyping varieties used in Chinese japonica rice (Oryza sativa L.) pedigree breeding programs. We identified 34 important chromosomal regions from the founder parent that are under selection in the breeding programs, and by comparing donor genomic regions that are under selection with QTL locations of agronomic traits, we found that QTL clustered in important genomic regions, in accordance with association analyses of natural populations and other previous studies. The convergence of genomic regions under selection with QTL locations suggests that donor genomic regions harboring key genes/QTL for important agronomic traits have been selected by plant breeders since the 1950s from the founder rice plants. The results provide better understanding of the effects of selection in breeding programs on the traits of rice cultivars. They also provide potentially valuable information for enhancing rice breeding programs through screening candidate parents for targeted molecular markers, improving crop yield potential and identifying suitable genetic material for use in future breeding programs.  相似文献

One of the goals of plant breeding is to increase yield with improved quality characters. Plant introductions (PI) are a rich source of favorable alleles that could improve different characters in modern soybean [Glycine max (L.) Merril] including yield. The objectives of this study were to identify yield QTL underlying the genetic basis for differential adaptation of soybeans to the Canadian, United States or Chinese mega-environments (ME) and to evaluate the relationship and colocalization between yield and agronomic traits QTL. Two crosses between high-yielding Canadian cultivars and elite Chinese cultivars, OAC Millennium × Heinong 38 and Pioneer 9071 × #8902, were used to develop two recombinant inbred line (RIL) populations. Both populations were evaluated at different locations in Ontario, Canada; Minnesota, United States (US), Heilongjiang and Jilin, China, in 2009 and 2010. Significant variation for yield was observed among the RILs of both populations across the three hypothetical ME. Two yield QTL (linked to the interval Satt364–Satt591 and Satt277) and one yield QTL (linked to marker Sat_341) were identified by single-factor ANOVA and interval mapping across all ME in populations 1 and 2, respectively. The most frequent top ten high-yielding lines across all ME carried most of the high-yielding alleles of the QTL that were identified in two and three ME. Both parents contributed favorable alleles, which suggests that not only the adapted parent but also the PI parents are potential sources of beneficial alleles in reciprocal environments. Other QTL were detected also at two and one ME. Most of the yield QTL were co-localized with a QTL associated with an agronomic trait in one, two, or three ME in just one or in both populations. Results suggested that most of the variation observed in seed yield can be explained by the variation of different agronomic traits such a maturity, lodging and height. Novel alleles coming from PI can favorably contribute, directly or indirectly, to seed yield and the utilization of QTL detected across one, two or three ME would facilitate the new allele introgression into breeding populations in both North America and China.  相似文献

Genetic improvement in apomictic forage species has been restricted because of the absence of genetic variability in sexual germplasm with the same ploidy level. Following a new breeding scheme, a sexual synthetic tetraploid population (SSTP) of Paspalum notatum has been generated. The objectives of this work were: (a) to evaluate the genetic variability in SSTP by means of molecular markers, morphologic and agronomic traits, and seed fertility and quality traits and (b) to assess the transference of genetic variability from the apomictic germplasm to the sexual one. Molecular markers revealed a twofold higher level of variability in the SSTP in comparison with the sexual germplasm utilised for its generation, and similar levels with the apomictic ones; moreover, markers showed that most of the variability was inherited from the apomictic germplasm. Morphologic and agronomic traits and seed fertility and quality traits showed high levels of variation in the three groups of genotypes indicating that the new breeding scheme was effective in transferring variability from the apomictic germplasm to the SSTP. This new population will be useful in breeding of P. notatum, and the breeding scheme used for its generation may be used in other apomictic species.  相似文献

The biggest challenge for jatropha breeding is to identify superior genotypes that present high seed yield and seed oil content with reduced toxicity levels. Therefore, the objective of this study was to estimate genetic parameters for three important traits (weight of 100 seed, oil seed content, and phorbol ester concentration), and to select superior genotypes to be used as progenitors in jatropha breeding. Additionally, the genotypic values and the genetic parameters estimated under the Bayesian multi-trait approach were used to evaluate different selection indices scenarios of 179 half-sib families. Three different scenarios and economic weights were considered. It was possible to simultaneously reduce toxicity and increase seed oil content and weight of 100 seed by using index selection based on genotypic value estimated by the Bayesian multi-trait approach. Indeed, we identified two families that present these characteristics by evaluating genetic diversity using the Ward clustering method, which suggested nine homogenous clusters. Future researches must integrate the Bayesian multi-trait methods with realized relationship matrix, aiming to build accurate selection indices models.  相似文献

There are two types of 1-day field tests available for young Swedish Warmblood sport horses; one test for 3-year olds and one more advanced test for 4-year olds. Conformation, gaits and jumping ability are evaluated at both tests. Studies on various genetic parameters were based on about 20 000 tested horses. The data for 4-year olds consisted of 30 years of testing. The aims of the study were to estimate genetic parameters for results from different time periods, and to estimate heritabilities for, and genetic correlations between, traits scored in the two tests. The judgement of traits was shown to have been changed during the 30 years of testing, resulting in changes in higher heritabilities in, and stronger genetic correlations between, later time periods. In the first time period, records showed higher residual and lower genetic variances than in the subsequent time periods. Genetic correlations between traits recorded in the first and last time period deviated considerably from unity. Further studies are needed to investigate how to treat data from the early period in genetic evaluations. Heritabilities were moderate to high for conformation traits (0.24 to 0.58) at both types of tests, except for correctness of legs (0.08). The heritabilities for gait traits were also moderate to high (0.37 to 0.53). For jumping traits, the heritabilities ranged between 0.17 and 0.33. The highly positive genetic correlations (0.82 to 0.99) between corresponding traits tested at the simpler test for 3-year olds and at the ridden test of 4-year olds implied that it would be desirable to include the test results of 3-year olds into the genetic evaluation as breeding values for Swedish Warmbloods for many years has only been based on results from 4-year olds.  相似文献

老芒麦(Elymus sibiricus)的研究对我国北方草原及青藏高原高寒草甸的退化草地改良、发展草地畜牧业具有重要意义。本文综述了老芒麦在形态学、细胞学、蛋白质和DNA分子水平上的遗传多样性研究概况,并总结了国内老芒麦的育种研究进展。目前国内外专门针对不同老芒麦种质材料(accession)或居群(populations)遗传多样性的研究鲜见报道,相关研究主要集中在与披碱草属(Elymus)及其近缘小麦族物种的系统进化研究方面;其次,我国仅有6个老芒麦国家审定品种,且育种手段较单一、落后,育成品种优势集中在产量和适应性上,缺乏对抗逆性种质的筛选培育。  相似文献
