Gamma-aminobutyric acid is not formed in significant amounts from putrescine by incubation with rat brain homogenates. However, it is formed if acetyl-CoA is added to the incubation medium. This is taken as further evidence for the existence of a metabolic pathway in mammalian brain which comprises acetylation of putrescine to monoacetyl putrescine and oxidative deamination of monoacetyl putrescine by MAO. Nerve cells and glia cells have comparable capacities for putrescine degradation along this pathway. 相似文献

The kinetics of formation of esterified chlorophyll in etiolated barley (Hordeum vulgare L.) leaves after illumination with a single flash was studied. It was found that after partial (14–24%) and after full photoreduction
of protochlorophyllide, the same quantity of esterified products appear during the first 5 s after the flash. The rest of
formed chlorophyllide was esterified in a slow process during at least 30 min at 15 °C. The product of fast esterification
can be correlated with ‘short-wavelength’ chlorophyll, characterized by a fluorescence emission peak at 673–675 nm. This is
the only chlorophyll form detectable within 20 s after partial (14%) photoconversion, and it appears at the same time as the
shoulder of the chlorophyll(ide) fluorescence after full photoconversion. The main product after full photoconversion shows
a fluorescence at 689 nm shifting in darkness within 15 s to 693 nm and then within 30 min to 682 nm (Shibata shift). The
slow esterification proceeds with similar kinetics as the Shibata shift. We propose that the fast esterification of only part
of total chlorophyllide after full photoconversion of protochlorophyllide in etiolated leaves reflects the restricted capacity
of the esterifying system. The slow esterification of the residual chlorophyllide may be time-limited by its release from
protochlorophyllide oxidoreductase, by disaggregation of prolamellar bodies and by diffusion of tetraprenyl diphosphates towards
chlorophyll synthase.

Premedication with PCPA antagonized in rats the anticonvulsant activity of Primidone and of other drugs against seizures evoked by electroshock. Only in the case of Primidone, however, the anticonvulsant activity could not be re-established by increasing the dosage. Our investigations have shown that PCPA caused a strong inhibition of the conversion of Primidone to phenobarbital, both in vivo and in vitro. 相似文献

This paper discusses the forming principle of Taiji Diagram from the perspective of the 24 Solar Terms, and then analyses the trend of Taiji Curves, the Polar Point of Taiji Diagram and the meaning of Yin-Yang fishes’ eyes. This paper argues that the Taiji Diagram is originated from the S-style solar term model, or model of S-style Taiji Diagram combining solar term and Yin-yang fish. According to methods provided in this essay, the drawing work of Taiji Diagram could be simplified. This paper also further integrates the model diagram with the Chinese traditional medicine, especially with main and collateral channels, Zang-Fu organs and hours of daily time, and directly reveals the relationship among them and sets up two model figures: one is the S-style Taiji Yin-Yang Fishes and Main and Collateral Channels Model Figure, the other is S-style Taiji Yin-Yang Fish and Main and Collateral Channels Hours Model Figure. The Taiji Diagram described in this essay looks like that one black fish (symbolizing Yin) hugs with the other white fish (symbolizing Yang), which contains universal laws and rules of constraints between the Yin-Yang opposites, mutual usages with each other, balance of the ebb and flow, reciprocal transformation, etc. By analyzing the shift and transformation between Yin and Yang of the 24 solar terms in a year, it could not only explain the naming of the Twenty-Four Solar Terms, but also help preserve people’s health with the combination between medicine and Yi science. The advantages of preventive medicine of traditional Chinese medicine will be high lighted. 相似文献
