To develop a transurethral endoscopy technique of the transurethral seminal vesiculoscopy to examine and treat seminal vesicle disease. A total of 61 patients with seminal vesicle disease were diagnosed and treated with the transurethral seminal vesiculoscopy through the distal seminal tracts and vesicles. 58 cases were successfully treated using transurethral seminal vesiculoscopy via the seminal vesicles. The operation took 25 ~ 85 min, with an average of (35.6) mins. In this group, seven cases were diagnosed as ejaculatory orifice cyst, 14 cases had blood clots in the seminal vesicles, and nine patients had stones in the seminal vesicles. All patients were treated properly. Follow-up occurred at 3 months, with two cases showing post-operative discomfort in perineal region. One patient had recurrence with seminal vesiculitis, which improved with treatment. Four infertile patients had a significant increase in sperm count and ejaculation volume and two of these patients were able to naturally inseminate within seven to 18 months post-surgery. This approach enables a new endoscopic technique with the transurethral seminal vesiculoscopy to diagnose and treat seminal vesicle disease through the normal anatomic pathway which can be easily performed with few post-operative complications. 相似文献

Varicocele has been associated with decrease in seminal parameters. Selenium (Se), copper (Cu), and zinc (Zn) are trace elements
essential for normal spermatogenesis of mammals and play a critical role as antioxidant defense system enzymes. Se, Cu, and
Zn are associated with sperm quality in fertile and infertile men. However, there is little information about Se, Cu, and
Zn concentrations in semen in patients with varicocele and its association with seminal parameters. The purpose of this study
was to determine the concentrations of Se, Cu, and Zn in semen of patients with varicocele and the relationship with seminal
parameters. Total Reflection X-Ray Fluorescence was used for the fist time in the seminal fluid analysis. The concentration
of selenium in men with varicocele was smaller than the normozoospermic group, while no differences were observed for both
concentrations of zinc and copper. A significant positive correlation between zinc and selenium concentration was observed.
Selenium in seminal plasma correlates with a good spermatozoa concentrations, motility, and morphology. Additionally, a significant
positive correlation was observed between zinc levels and sperm count. In conclusion, a decrease in selenium concentration
was associated with detriment of seminal parameters. A study should be conducted to evaluate the benefits of both zinc and
selenium supplementation to improve seminal parameters in patients with varicocele. 相似文献

Young male albino mice of Swiss strain were exposed to nickel by oral route of 20 mg nickel sulfate/kg body weight for 5 d/wk
for 6 mo. A decrease in normal (testosterone-dependent) proteinuria was shown, and morphological examination of the seminal
vesicles revealed a lower weight and smaller size as well as a histological indication of lower secretory activity of the
epithelium compared to controls. The findings are consistent with a theory implying a decreased testosterone activity in nickel-treated

THE HL-A antigens of man have been described on a number of somatic (diploid) cells1 and demonstrated on spermatozoa, suggesting an expression of the haploid genome on spermatozoan membrane2. Soluble HL-A antigens, HL-A2, HL-A7 and 7b, have been reported in serum3,4. We have now found in human seminal plasma substances that inhibit specific anti-HL-A antibodies. This has important biological and clinical implications, especially for the characterization of HL-A antigens and for the induction of specific tolerance. 相似文献
