In plagiotropic plants, axillary buds on the stolon can be exposed to low red:far-red (R:FR) ratios, while the leaves may be positioned in the uppermost layer of the sward where they are exposed to a high R:FR ratio. We tested whether the light environment of unfolded leaves influences outgrowth of the axillary buds and the formation of nodal roots of Trifolium repens. Single plants were grown in a growth cabinet with high photosynthetic photon flux rate (PPFR) and a high R:FR ratio (FHRH, control), low PPFR and high R:FR (FLRH) or low PPFR and low R:FR (FLRL). In an additional treatment (SS), only stolons were shaded so that developing leaves grew into light conditions similar to the control treatment. Neutral shading (FLRH) had a minor effect on branching and did not influence root formation. A reduction in the R:FR ratio (FLRL) significantly delayed the outgrowth of axillary buds so that, compared to the control plants, the percentage of branched phytomers was reduced by 43% on the parent axis and by 75% on primary branches. Furthermore, the number of nodal roots per plant was reduced by about 30%. When only the stolons were shaded (SS), the percentage of branched and rooted phytomers was similar to that of the control plants. Extension of petioles and leaves was very variable, increasing the values in the FLRL treatment at least 2.5-fold compared with the control plants. It was concluded that the light environment of the unfolded leaves had a significant influence on the regulation of the outgrowth of axillary buds and that the high plasticity in petiole growth allows the positioning of the leaves in a light environment conducive to the stimulation of branch outgrowth. Random amplified polymorphic DNAs (RAPDs) were used in combination with a double pseudo-testcross mapping strategy to estimate the position and effects of quantitative trait loci (QTLs) for traits influencing juvenile tree growth and development in two apple cultivars. The mapping population consisted of 172 F1 trees from a cross between the columnar mutant ‘Wijcik McIntosh’ and a standard form disease-resistant selection NY 75441-58. Significant associations were found between markers and height increment, internode number, internode length, base diameter increment, base diameter after 9 years of growth, branch number, and leaf break. The number of genomic regions associated with each trait varied from one to eight. The amount of variation explained by linear regression on individual marker loci (R2) ranged from 3.9 to 24.3%, with an average of 7%. Multiple regression using markers for each putative QTL explained from 6.6 to 41.6% of the phenotypic variation, with an average value of 24.3%. A large number of traits had significant variation associated with the map position of the dominant columnar gene, Co. QTL stability over years was estimated by comparing the locations of putative QTLs for traits measured in multiple years. The majority of genomic regions were associated with a trait in only a single year, although regions associated with a trait in more than 1 year were also detected. The limitations of dominant markers and an outbred mapping pedigree for QTL analysis are discussed. Received: 27 August 1997 / Accepted: 10 February 1998  相似文献

Selecting superior genotypes is facilitated by marker-assisted selection (MAS), which is particularly suitable for transferring disease resistance alleles because it nullifies environmental effects and allows selection of resistant individuals in the absence of the pathogen or race, enabling preventive breeding. Molecular markers linked to two major genes (SH3 and SH?), conferring resistance to coffee rust, and those linked to the Ck-1 gene, conferring resistance to coffee berry disease (CBD), have previously been identified. These markers were validated and used in a progeny of crosses between Indian selections with Coffea arabica cultivars. Eleven resistant individuals homozygous for SH3 were identified by MAS. Of these, seven carry SH? from Híbrido de Timor and the gene introduced from Coffea liberica (SH3). SH? was characterized as derived from Coffea canephora. Thus, it was possible to identify C. arabica genotypes carrying important genes for rust resistance introgressed from other coffee species. MAS also allowed identification of sources of CBD resistance for use in preventive breeding for resistance to this serious disease. Using two validated molecular markers, two coffee plants carrying Ck-1 were identified: the UFV 328-60 genotype (F2) was resistant and homozygous based on both molecular markers but exhibited no markers related to SH3 and SH?, and the UFV 317-12 genotype (F1) was resistant and homozygous but resistant and heterozygous based on CBD-Sat207 and CBD-Sat235, respectively. Along with possessing Ck-1, the latter carries SH?. Overall, plants carrying different genes for resistance to rust and CBD were identified. These plants are important sources for gene pyramiding in breeding programs aimed at multiple and durable resistance.  相似文献

Needles from phosphorus deficient seedlings of Pinus radiata D. Don grown for 8 weeks at either 330 or 660 microliters CO2 per liter displayed chlorophyll a fluorescence induction kinetics characteristic of structural changes within the thylakoid chloroplast membrane, i.e. constant yield fluorescence (FO) was increased and induced fluorescence ([FP-FI]/FO) was reduced. The effect was greatest in the undroughted plants grown at 660 μl CO2 L−1. By week 22 at 330 μl CO2 L−1 acclimation to P deficiency had occurred as shown by the similarity in the fluorescence characteristics and maximum rates of photosynthesis of the needles from the two P treatments. However, acclimation did not occur in the plants grown at 660 μl CO2 L−1. The light saturated rate of photosynthesis of needles with adequate P was higher at 660 μl CO2 L−1 than at 330 μl CO2 L−1, whereas photosynthesis of P deficient plants showed no increase when grown at the higher CO2 concentration. The average growth increase due to CO2 enrichment was 14% in P deficient plants and 32% when P was adequate. In drought stressed plants grown at 330 μl CO2 L−1, there was a reduction in the maximal rate of quenching of fluorescence (RQ) after the major peak. Constant yield fluorescence was unaffected but induced fluorescence was lower. These results indicate that electron flow subsequent to photosystem II was affected by drought stress. At 660 μl CO2 L−1 this response was eliminated showing that CO2 enrichment improved the ability of the seedlings to acclimate to drought stress. The average growth increase with CO2 enrichment was 37% in drought stressed plants and 19% in unstressed plants.  相似文献

Breeding of caffeine-free coffee cultivars require tools for an early selection of progenies bearing this later trait. Genes from caffeine synthesis and degradation represent major targets for the development of molecular markers for assisted selection. In this study, we characterized SNPs identified on the caffeine synthase gene from AC1 mutant, a naturally caffeine-free arabica coffee plant. Molecular analysis of normal and mutant sequences indicates the occurrence of SNPs in protein domains, potentially associated with caffeine synthesis in coffee. Progenies F2, F1BC1 and BC from crosses of AC mutants and elite cultivars were evaluated regarding caffeine content in grains and genomic segregation profile of selected SNPs. Genotyping analysis allowed the discrimination between homozygous and heterozygous plants. Quantification of caffeine content indicated a significant variability among progenies and a low frequency of caffeine-free plants. Statistical analyses of genotyping and phenotyping results showed significant association between presence of selected SNPs and reduced caffeine content. Moreover, this association occurs through all evaluated genetic backgrounds and generations, indicating an inheritance stability of both trait and markers. The molecular markers described here represent a successful case of assisted-selection in coffee, indicating their potential use for breeding of caffeine-free cultivars.  相似文献

Two cultivars of peanut (Arachis hypogaea L.) which were designated as resistant (Florispan) and sensitive (Gazipasa) according to their growth retardation under drought stress conditions were compared for their oxidative damage and antioxidant responses. Sixteen days-old peanut seedlings were subjected to PEG-6000 solutions of two different osmotic potentials; −0.4 and −0.8 MPa, and various growth parameters, photosystem II activity, changes in malondialdehyde (MDA), hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) and proline levels, activities of ascorbate peroxidase (APX), catalase (CAT), peroxidase (POX) and gluthatione reductase (GR) enzymes were determined. Both cultivars exhibited water deficit at −0.8 MPa osmotic potential of PEG-6000 and H2O2 levels significantly increased during exposure to −0.4 MPa osmotic potential. However, H2O2 levels were under control in both cultivars at exposure to −0.8 MPa osmotic potential. Significant proline accumulation was observed in the tissues of cv. Florispan at −0.8 MPa osmotic potential, whereas proline accumulation did not appear to be an essential part of the protection mechanism against drought in cv. Gazipasa. No significant variation in chlorophyll fluorescence values were detected in neither of the cultivars. Enzyme activity measurements revealed that Gazipasa copes well with lesser magnitudes of drought stress by increasing the activity of mainly APX, and during harsh stress conditions, only APX maintains its activity in the tissues. In cultivar Florispan, GR activity appears to take role in lesser magnitudes of drought stress, whereas CAT and APX activities appear to be very crucial antioxidative defenses during intense stress conditions. The results indicate that, the level of proline and activities of the enzymes CAT and APX are important mechanisms for the maintenance of drought tolerance in peanut plants.  相似文献

Alloplasmic lines of common wheat with disomic substitution of chromosome 7D for telocentric chromosome 7H1Lmar of barley H. marinum subsp. gussoneanum Hudson were isolated from the plants of generation BC3, produced as a result of backcrossing of barley-wheat hybrids H. marinum subsp. gussoneanum (2n = 28) × T. aestivum (2n = 42), Pyrotrix, cultivar, with 28 common wheat cultivars Pyrotrix 28 and Novosibirskaya 67. Chromosome substitution pattern was determined using SSR analysis and C-banding. In preliminary genomic in situ hybridization experiments, telocentric chromosomes were assigned to wild barley was established. In the BC3F8 generations of three alloplasmic lines with the 7H1Lmar(7D) substitution type the differences in fertility manifestation were observed: most of the L-32(1) plants were sterile, in line L-32(2) only sporadic plants were sterile, and line L-32(3) was fertile. Simultaneously with these experiments, using selfpollinated progeny of the hybrids obtained in crosses of common wheat cultivar Saratovskaya 29 (2n = 41), monosomic for chromosome 7D, with common wheat cultivar Pyrotrix 28 with addition of pair of telocentric chromosomes 7H1Lmar (7D) of barley H. marinum subsp. gussoneanum, euplasmic wheat-barley ditelosomic substitution 7H1Lmar (7D) lines were isolated. The lines obtained had normal fertility. PCR analysis of the 18S/5S mitochondrial repeat (hereafter, mtDNA sequence) in alloplasmic and euplasmic ditelosomic substitution lines 7H1Lmar(7D) was performed. In the plants from alloplasmic sterile line L-32(1), the sequences only of the barley (maternal) type were revealed, while the plants from alloplasmic fertile lines L-32(2) and L-32(3) demonstrated heteroplasmy (the presence of barley- and wheat-like sequences within one individual). In euplasmic ditelosomic substitution lines the presence of only wheat-like 18S/5S mitochondrial repeat sequences was observed. The results indicate that the presence of barley-like mtDNA sequences in alloplasmic substitution lines was not associated with the presence of barley chromosomes in their nuclear genomes.  相似文献

In a field experiment Coffea arabica L. was subjected to various moisture and fertilizer regimes in Simao, Yunan, SW China. The experimental treatments consisted of eight factorial combinations of two fertilization levels (high and low) and four watering treatments applied in the dry season: application of dry rice straw mulch, drip irrigation, mulching plus drip irrigation on the soil surface, and control (no mulching or irrigation). The growth of the coffee plants was monitored throughout the course of a full year. Two clear growth peaks were detected (one at the beginning and one in the middle of the wet season) in plants subjected to all treatments, and the growth rhythm of coffee plants was not regulated by extrinsic abiotic factors. High fertilization resulted in a significantly higher relative growth rates for both height and length of the branches during the growth peaks than the low fertilization treatment. In the dry season, increasing the soil moisture contents by irrigation and/or mulching enhanced the plants’ gas exchange, but the soil water status had no significant effects on the internal fluorescence parameters of photosystem 2. More fertilized plants had a greater ability to acclimate to high-irradiance environments than the lightly fertilized plants, showing significant lower diurnal photoinhibition, associated with higher energy utilization through photochemistry and energy dissipation through the xanthophyll cycle. Hence the wet season is the optimum period for photosynthetic carbon fixation and vegetative growth of coffee plants. Higher than routinely applied levels of fertilization are required to optimize the coffee plants’ photosynthetic acclimation and growth in the studied environment. Both soil moisture conserving practices tested, mulching and drip irrigation, had significant effects on the growth and photosynthesis of the coffee plants, but the former was more practical than the latter.  相似文献

Defining and quantifying biomass?Cdensity relationships in dense plant stands has been a long-standing issue in both theoretical and empirical studies. Most existing/traditional studies focus on whole plant individuals, without considering different plant components (e.g., stem, branch and leaf). However, the analysis of biomass?Cdensity relationships for different plant parts is linked to those for whole plants, and thus important for understanding plant strategies for utilizing resources and community dynamics. In our study, we investigated standing stem (M S), branch (M B) and leaf (M L) biomass?Cdensity relationships, across a range of forest communities in China. The results showed that there was no constant predicted value (e.g., ?1/2 or ?1/3 for M S; ?1/2, ?1/3 or 0 for M B and M L) that can describe all the relationships, and that the scaling exponents for stem, branch and leaf biomass varied across different forest types. In particular, standing leaf biomass (leaf biomass per unit area) was not constant in these forest communities. Furthermore, stem biomass?Cdensity lines were steeper than corresponding branch and leaf lines across most of these forest communities.  相似文献

The effects of salicylic acid (SA) and hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) on freezing tolerance were studied in two potato (Solanum tuberosum) cultivars (Alpha and Atlantic) that differ in cold sensitivity, Alpha being more tolerant to freezing than Atlantic. Lowest freezing survival rates were observed in 4-week-old plants. Freezing treatments consisting of exposure to 6° C for 4 h in the dark were applied 24 h after plants had been transferred from in vitro culture to soil. Catalase activity and H2O2 were estimated at the following harvest points: stage (a) 4-week-old in vitro plants treated with either 0.1 mM SA or 5 mM H2O2; stage (b) as in (a) but 24 h following transfer to soil prior to freezing treatment; stage (c) as in (b) but measured 15 days after a 4-h freezing treatment. The results show that (1) SA induced freezing tolerance in both cultivars; (2) SA inhibited ascorbate peroxidase activities in both cultivars at all harvest points but inhibited catalase activities in only at stage (a); (3) SA induced H2O2 accumulation only in Atlantic at stage (a); (4) H2O2 enhanced shoot catalase activities in Atlantic at stages (a) and (b) whereas this treatment had no effect on shoot catalase activities in Alpha; (5) H2O2 treatment induced freezing tolerance in Atlantic, even though shoot catalase activities were lower than those of the controls following exposure to freezing temperatures. We conclude that SA does not always lead to H2O2 accumulation even though catalase and ascorbate peroxidase activities are decreased as a result of the treatment. Moreover, H2O2 accumulation is not always associated with the induction of freezing tolerance, for example at stage (a) where SA-induced tolerance in Alpha was not accompanied by H2O2 accumulation. H2O2 was able to induce freezing tolerance only in Atlantic, even though H2O2 accumulated in both cultivars following this treatment.  相似文献

A genetic approach to the understanding of tree architecture is to cross trees of contrasting features and to study their segregating F2 progenies. For this purpose, members of a 3-generation pedigree, combining Populus trichocarpa, P. deltoides, and their F1 and F2 offspring, were grown side by side in a clonally replicated plantation. At 2 and 3 years of growth, tree architecture was analyzed at the stem, branch, and leaf levels. In all generations, proleptic branches were more numerous, longer, and had more and larger leaves than sylleptics initiated in the same year. The analysis of variance revealed significant genotypic effects on growth, branch and leaf biometrics in the F2 family, with broad-sense heritabilities (H2) ranging from 0.50 to 0.80 for most traits. For branch and leaf traits, the H2 values were found to vary among branch types and crown positions. In year 2, the degree of genetic control was stronger for sylleptics than proleptics and for upper than lower crown positions. These patterns were followed in year 3, except that H2 values were more a function of position within crown, as a consequence of increased competition among trees. The genetic correlations between branch/leaf morphology and stem growth were also a function of branch type and crown position. Generally, traits on proleptics or at upper positions were more tightly correlated with height growth, whereas those on sylleptics or at lower positions, with basal area growth. By year 3, proleptic traits showed increased genetic correlations with both height and radial growth. The implications of these results for the construction of ideotypes are discussed. The growth and energy budget for F2‘all‐fish’ growth hormone gene transgenic common carp Cyprinus carpio of two body sizes were investigated at 29·2° C for 21 days. Specific growth rate, feed intake, feed efficiency, digestibility coefficients of dry matter and protein, gross energy intake (IE), and the proportion of IE utilized for heat production (HE) were significantly higher in the transgenics than in the controls. The proportion of IE directed to waste products [faecal energy (FE) and excretory energy loss (ZE+UE) where ZE is through the gills and UE through the kidney], and the proportion of metabolizable energy (ME) for recovered energy (RE) were significantly lower in the transgenics than in the controls. The average energy budget equation of transgenic fish was as follows: 100 IE= 19·3 FE+ 6·0 (ZE+UE) + 45·2 HE+ 29·5 RE or 100 ME= 60·5 HE+ 39·5 RE. The average energy budget equation of the controls was: 100 IE= 25·2 FE+ 7·4 (ZE+UE) + 35·5 HE+ 31·9 RE or 100 ME= 52·7 HE+ 47·3 RE. These findings indicate that the high growth rate of ‘all‐fish’ transgenic common carp relative to their non‐transgenic counterparts was due to their increased feed intake, reduced lose of waste productions and improved feed efficiency. The benefit of the increased energy intake by transgenic fish, however, was diminished by their increased metabolism.  相似文献

A bioenergetics model for juvenile age‐0 year walleye pollock Theragra chalcogramma was applied to a spatially distinct grid of samples in the western Gulf of Alaska to investigate the influence of temperature and prey quality on size‐specific growth. Daily growth estimates for 50, 70 and 90 mm standard length (LS) walleye pollock during September 2000 were generated using the bioenergetics model with a fixed ration size. Similarities in independent estimates of prey consumption generated from the bioenergetics model and a gastric evacuation model corroborated the performance of the bioenergetics model, concordance correlation (rc) = 0·945, lower 95% CL (transformed) (L1) = 0·834, upper 95% CL (transformed) (L2) = 0·982, P < 0·001. A mean squared error analysis (MSE) was also used to partition the sources of error between both model estimates of consumption into a mean component (MC), slope component (SC), and random component (RC). Differences between estimates of daily consumption were largely due to differences in the means of estimates (MC= 0·45) and random sources (RC= 0·49) of error, and not differences in slopes (SC= 0·06). Similarly, daily growth estimates of 0·031–0·167 g day?1 generated from the bioenergetics model was within the range of growth estimates of 0·026–0·190 g day?1 obtained from otolith analysis of juvenile walleye pollock. Temperature and prey quality alone accounted for 66% of the observed variation between bioenergetics and otolith growth estimates across all sizes of juvenile walleye pollock. These results suggest that the bioenergetics model for juvenile walleye pollock is a useful tool for evaluating the influence of spatially variable habitat conditions on the growth potential of juvenile walleye pollock.  相似文献

Salt marshes constitute major sinks for heavy metal accumulation but the precise impact of salinity on heavy metal toxicity for halophyte plant species remains largely unknown. Young seedlings of Kosteletzkya virginica were exposed during 3 weeks in nutrient solution to Cd 5 µM in the presence or absence of 50 mM NaCl. Cadmium (Cd) reduced growth and shoot water content and had major detrimental effect on maximum quantum efficiency (Fv/Fm), effective quantum yield of photosystem II (Y(II)) and electron transport rates (ETRs). Cd induced an oxidative stress in relation to an increase in O2?? and H2O2 concentration and lead to a decrease in endogenous glutathione (GSH) and α‐tocopherol in the leaves. Cd not only increased leaf zeatin and zeatin riboside concentration but also increased the senescing compounds 1‐aminocyclopropane‐1‐carboxylic acid (ACC) and abscisic acid (ABA). Salinity reduced Cd accumulation already after 1 week of stress but was unable to restore shoot growth and thus did not induce any dilution effect. Salinity delayed the Cd‐induced leaf senescence: NaCl reduced the deleterious impact of Cd on photosynthesis apparatus through an improvement of Fv/Fm, Y(II) and ETR. Salt reduced oxidative stress in Cd‐treated plants through an increase in GSH, α‐tocopherol and ascorbic acid synthesis and an increase in glutathione reductase (EC 1.6.4.2) activity. Additional salt reduced ACC and ABA accumulation in Cd+NaCl‐treated leaves comparing to Cd alone. It is concluded that salinity affords efficient protection against Cd to the halophyte species K. virginica, in relation to an improved management of oxidative stress and hormonal status.  相似文献

Plant water status, leaf tissue pressure-volume relationships, and photosynthetic gas exchange were monitored in five coffee (Coffea arabica L.) cultivars growing in drying soil in the field. There were large differences among cultivars in the rates at which leaf water potential (ΨL) and gas exchange activity declined when irrigation was discontinued. Pressure-volume curve analysis indicated that increased leaf water deficits in droughted plants led to reductions in bulk leaf elasticity, osmotic potential, and in the ΨL at which turgor loss occurred. Adjustments in ΨL at zero turgor were not sufficient to prevent loss or near loss of turgor in three of five cultivars at the lowest values of midday ΨL attained. Maintenance of protoplasmic volume was more pronounced than maintenance of turgor as soil drying progressed. Changes in assimilation and stomatal conductance were largely independent of changes in bulk leaf turgor, but were associated with changes in relative symplast volume. It is suggested that osmotic and elastic adjustment contributed to maintenance of gas exchange in droughted coffee leaves probably through their effects on symplast volume rather than turgor.  相似文献

Onion seedlings of two open-pollinated cultivars were grown either at a constant 10°C or outdoors in spring and were selected for high, medium or low relative leaf growth rate, RL. Flowering plants within each RL group were crossed using controlled pollination for the 10°C selections and as a fly-pollinated polycross for the outdoor selections. The pollen donors of the 10°C selections were also selfed. Despite the wide variation of RL in the parent populations, there was no indication of heritability of RL. Mean RL was significantly lower for the progeny from self-rather than cross-pollinations as was initial leaf area and rate of seedling emergence.  相似文献

This study investigates the age and growth of Lutjanus argentimaculatus at its southern (cooler) range limits in eastern Australia. Specimens were collected from New South Wales and southern Queensland between November 2011 and December 2013. Fork lengths (LF) ranged from 190 to 1019 mm, and ages ranged from 2+ to 57+ years. Growth was described by the von Bertalanffy growth function with coefficients L = 874·92 mm, K = 0·087 year?1 and t0 = ?2·76 years. Estimates of the instantaneous natural mortality rate (M) ranged from 0·072 to 0·25. The LF (mm) and mass (W; g) relationship was represented by the equation: . The maximum age of 57+ years is the oldest reported for any lutjanid and comparisons with tropical studies suggest that the age‐based demography of L. argentimaculatus follows a latitudinal gradient. High maximum ages and low natural mortality rates indicate considerable vulnerability to overexploitation at the species' cool‐water‐range limits. These results demonstrate the need to identify underlying processes driving latitudinal gradients in fish demography.  相似文献

Neurodegenerative disorders are strongly associated with oxidative stress, which is induced by reactive oxygen species including hydrogen peroxide (H2O2). Epidemiological studies have suggested that coffee may be neuroprotective, but the molecular mechanisms underlying this effect have not been clarified. In this study, we investigated the protective effects of caffeinated coffee, decaffeinated coffee, and the phenolic phytochemical chlorogenic acid (5-O-caffeoylquinic acid), which is present in both caffeinated and decaffeinated coffee, against oxidative neuronal death. H2O2-induced apoptotic nuclear condensation in neuronal cells was strongly inhibited by pretreatment with caffeinated coffee, decaffeinated coffee, or chlorogenic acid. Pretreatment with caffeinated coffee, decaffeinated coffee, or chlorogenic acid inhibited the H2O2-induced down-regulation of anti-apoptotic proteins Bcl-2 and Bcl-XL while blocking H2O2-induced pro-apoptotic cleavage of caspase-3 and pro-poly(ADP-ribose) polymerase. We also found that caffeinated coffee, decaffeinated coffee, and chlorogenic acid induced the expression of NADPH:quinine oxidoreductase 1 (NQO1) in neuronal cells, suggesting that these substances protect neurons from H2O2-induced apoptosis by up-regulation of this antioxidant enzyme. The neuroprotective efficacy of caffeinated coffee was similar to that of decaffeinated coffee, indicating that active compounds present in both caffeinated and decaffeinated coffee, such as chlorogenic acid, may drive the effects.  相似文献

The primary transformant of spring rapeseed cv. HM-81 contained TL- and TR-DNA of agropine plasmid pRi ofAgrobacterium rhizogenes 15834. The presence of TL-DNA corresponds to visible transformed phenotype in its progeny; the leaves are wrinkled and the plants are shorter than normal plants. R1 R2 and R3 generations have mostly transformed phenotype. The normal phenotype appears in a low frequency in F1 generation. Autogamised F1 plants segregate in F2 transformed and normal phenotype in 3:1 ratio. It is possible to suppose that TL-DNA is present in two differentloci of one pair of homologic chromosomes. The recombination frequency is 12 % (microsporogenesis) or 6 % (microsporogenesis and macrosporogenesis). In some crosses the transformed phenotype has a maternal type of inheritance. Maternal inheritance influences also several growth characteristics,e.g. length of plants and number of seeds/pods.  相似文献
