By means of ethograms record and analysis, connection has been studied between the properties of rats behaviour organization in the open field, determining the level of behaviour entropy in this test, and the speed of conditioned reflexes formation in the Skinner chamber. According to behaviour entropy level the rats are significantly divided into four groups; the lowest speed of conditioned reflexes formation in the Skinner's chamber is observed in the animals of the first (low entropy) group, the highest--in the fourth (high entropy) group. The obtained data are discussed according to Pavlov's concepts on the characteristics of the basic nervous processes, determining individual-typological characteristics of the higher nervous activity of the animal. Conclusion is made that division according to the level of behaviour entropy in the open field test may serve as a safe method of express-estimation of the animals abilities to conditioned habits formation.  相似文献

It is shown that the process of rat behaviour in probabilistic media ("open field" test) corresponds to the basic conditions which determine the concept of the Markov continuous chain. To characterize the degree of orderliness (non-orderliness) of the integrated behavioural activity, the parameter of the Markov process entropy may be used. Dependence has been found between the level of behaviour entropy and individual characteristics of the organization of orienting-investigating activity of rats in the "open field" test.  相似文献

Behaviour of Gammarus oceanicus was studied in the open field test. For the whole except (n = 204) spatial-motor asymmetry was found. It was manifested in significantly greater number of movements clockwise (to the right) than counterclockwise (to the left). Animals with significant asymmetry dominated, forming 93.5% of the except. The asymmetry was characterized by distinct right-sided direction. Motor activity and spatial-motor asymmetry at repeated tests in the main weakened; the changes in "right" and "left" animals were manifested differently. The essential factor which disturbed the behaviour of the animals in the open field test (including the asymmetry of movement direction) proved to be a toxicant (oil pollution) action.  相似文献

Behavioural effect of intranasal application of corticotropin-releasing hormone (CRH) was investigated in rats with high (KHA) and low (KLA) rate of learning in "open field" and plus-maze (PM) active avoidance test. The neurohormone provoked the opposed changes in behaviour of rats of this strain in both tests. The level of locomotion and exploratory activity rose in KLA rats and decreased in KHA rats. After the CRH application, the KLA rats but not KHA rats spent more time in the opened alleys of the PM than the control animals. The same behavioural changes were observed in our previous research when CRH was injected in striatum. We suppose that CRH is an endogenous factor of precise correction of the adaptive behaviour.  相似文献

The dependence was studied of characteristics of organization of orienting-investigating behaviour in the open field test on the level of nervous system excitability in rats selected by the threshold of excitability of the peripheral nervous system. It is established that the studied rats lines can be divided into groups according to entropy level of their behaviour. Rats of highly excitable line build their behaviour in highly probable stereotypes as compared with the animals of low-excitable line, which organize their behaviour with more plasticity, diversity. Differences in the nervous system excitability influence first of all the organization of animals behaviour.  相似文献

The influence was studied of 15-days stressing on the appearance of stable neurosis-like state of rats lines, selected by the excitability of the nervous system. Unconditioned and conditioned components of behaviour were tested: pain sensitivity, behaviour in the open field, level of "anxiety", passive and active defensive avoidance. Differential reactivity was shown of the rats lines to prolonged stressing, depending on the genetically determined level of the nervous system functional state. Interlinear differences in dynamics of the development of neurosis-like state were established.  相似文献

Modification of rats behaviour in an "hopen field" test was investigated, induced by an acoustic stimulus, previously subjected to conditioning in a shuttle chamber in experiments with possibility and impossibility of avoidance from electrical shock. It has been established that presentation of a stimulus having the meaning of a danger signal, in a new situation, significantly suppresses investigating behaviour of rats, whereas the stimulus which had not been subjected to conditioning exerts no marked effect on behaviour. The greatest suppression was observed in rats with "learned helplessness". This fact suggests that the degree of suppression of the behaviour in an open field in response to a danger signal, depends on the animal's previous experience in reacting to this signal.  相似文献

The structure of motor behaviour in response to environmental tests--"open field" and "with-a-partner" situation (according to P. V. Simonov)--was studied in rats after 1, 3 and 6 weeks of hypokinesis, (to K. Hecht), as compared to the control. In control animals a relatively low level of orienting-investigation reactions and of grooming was observed as well as a low alimentary activity, which is considered as a manifestation of innate passive defensive reactions in the above situations. Disappearance of these reactions in the course of hypokinesia has two stages: predominant increase in orienting-investigating reactions (1-3 weeks); their subsequent decrease and an increase in the grooming (after 6 weeks). The relation between innate and conditioned behavioural changes is discussed as well as stability of alimentary behaviour in rats.  相似文献

Rats behaviour in the "open field" changed in 2 hrs after a single episode of hypoglycaemia was abolished with glucose whereas no changes occurred in their stereotyped behaviour and intraspecies interaction. In 24 hrs quantitative parameters of the "open field" behaviour normalised although the behaviour still had an altered structure. At the same time, amphetamine-induced stereotyped behaviour's indices became reduced. These and other findings suggest some deeper behavioural changes in rats during their recovery from repeated hypoglycaemic episodes and absence of synchronisation of the insulin effects.  相似文献

In experiments on rats it has been shown that for prognostication of successful reanimation after the clinic death of different duration (5, 10, 15 min) correlative interactions between the parameters of behaviour in the open field before blood circulation cessation are more essential than their absolute values. Highly significant correlation coefficients (0.7 and more) between the majority of behaviour parameters were typical for the group of animals which had survived after a prolonged blood circulation cessation (15 min); for rats rehabilitated after 5- and 10-min cessation of the blood circulation--between the characteristics reflecting, basically, the motor-investigating component of the behaviour. In groups of died animals (independently on the duration of clinic death) correlation profile was restricted to characteristics determining only the character of the motor activity. Particular significance is underlined of emotionally psychic components of the behaviour for complete CNS restoration after a prolonged blood circulation cessation in comparison with the shorter ones.  相似文献

Various behavioural nociceptive reactions and individual resistance against stress were studied under conditions of stimulation of the immune processes by various techniques. The research problems included a study of influence of the immune stimulation with preparation "Imunofan" upon pain responses depending on individual resistance of animals to a stress, and the obtained results were compared with similar data in natural model of immune activation. To reveal central immune regulation of nociceptive reactions, imunofan was injected into brain ventricles. The work was carried out in 43 "Wistar" adult male rats. Free "open field" behaviour of animals was recorded to define a stress-resistance. Following nociceptive reactions, tail-flick to thermal stimuli; start, escape, jumping and vocalization to electrical skin stimulation, were studied. It was shown that intramuscular injection of imunofan (0.01 ml, 0.005% solution) depressed an active behaviour of animals in open field and reduced pain thresholds. This hyperalgesia was much higher in non-resistant rats in comparison to the resistant ones. Similar results were obtained in natural activation of immunity caused by operative procedure necessary for injection of imunofan into ventricles. Intracerebroventricular injections were accompanied by stronger and more complex changes of pain sensitivity.  相似文献

Heptapeptide Met-Glu-His-Phe-Pro-Gly-Pro (ACTH4-10 analog) at a dose of 0.015 mg/kg failed to alter open field behaviour of rats in the first test series. The peptide abolished amphetamine-induced stimulation of the exploratory and grooming behaviour. Extinction of the rats' exploratory behaviour during second test series in the open field (7 days later) was disturbed when haloperidol or apomorphine were injected before the first test series. When the peptide was administered with haloperidol or apomorphine, the extinction tended to become normal. Heptapeptide failed to change noradrenaline, dopamine or 5-hydroxytryptamine content in the rat forebrain. However, this peptide at a concentration of 10(-4) M moderately diminished tyrosine hydroxylation velocity in the rat striatal or hypothalamic synaptosomes, the effect depending on tyrosine concentration. These data suggest the involvement of catecholaminergic component into the heptapeptide action on the behaviour of rats.  相似文献

In order to find correlation between changes in morpho-chemical characteristics of neurons of certain brain structures and changes of the functional state of rats with high horizontal motional activity in "open field" under activation of dopaminergic system caused by short-term and long-term L-DOPA injection aminopeptidase activity and protein content were studied. It was shown that in spite of similar effects of short- and long-term injection on the behaviour of animals, the nature of morpho-chemical changes in the brain differs significantly depending on the duration of the drug injection.  相似文献

Behavior of young (3-4 month old) and ageing (12-15 month old) rats was studied during chronic intranasal application of low doses (10 ME or 350 ME) of human interferon-alpha (HIA). In ageing rats HIA did not affect dynamics (days 0th, 8th and 16th) of (a) locomotive and (b) investigative activity in the "open field" test and in two-side defensive conditioning, and (c) decreased anxiety ("open field", "light-darkness" test). In young rats HIA (a) increased locomotive activity by 16th day (it decreased in control), (b) investigative activity did not change (in control it decreased by 8th day; "open field" test), (c) anxiety decreased in the "open field" and increased in "light-darkness" tests, (d) development of conditioned reflex improved (during 2nd learning session in 5 days after the first one). Thus, small doses of HIA differently affected behavior of rats depending on the age and experimental situation. However, both HIA doses changed rats' behavior in the same direction. We suggest that chronic low doses of HIA can regulate different aspects of behavior, but not suppress activity as it is commonly thought. This regulation can be performed via modulation of neuro-immuno-endocrine complex.  相似文献

Pronouncement of stress-induced disturbance of searching behaviour (using "open field" test) and stomach ulceration were compared for the first time with activity of the catecholamine system in hypothalamus and striatum and also with activity of the stress-limiting system of nitric oxide (NO) in the rats of two strains August and Wistar, which differ in their resistance against stress-induced cardiovascular disorders. The effect of prior adaptation to hypobaric hypoxia on these disorders was also studied. August rats appeared to be more resistant than Wistar rats against stress-induced disturbance of the searching behaviour and stomach ulceration. Results of measuring the content of catecholamines in brain structures and the content of NO stable metabolites nitrate/nitrite in plasma suggested that these differences could be due to the stress activation of the nigro-striatal dopaminergic system in August rats, which was not observed in Wistar rats, and also to the higher production of NO in August than in Wistar rats. Adaptation to hypoxia considerably restricted these stress disorders in rats of both strains. Importantly, the protective effects were associated with activation of the nigro-striatal dopaminergic system in all the animals. In the result, adapted Wistar rats, as distinct from non-adapted Wistar rats, displayed a stress activation of this system. The protective effects of adaptation were also accompanied by an increased NO synthesis. Taken together, the data suggest an important role of the responsiveness of the brain dopaminergic system and NO system in the mechanism of resistance against stress-induced disturbances.  相似文献

In experiments on rats the influence was studied of tropic hormones of adenohypophysis--somatotropin, thyrotropin and adrenocorticotropin (STH, ThTN and ACTH respectively) on the elaboration and extinction of conditioned reaction of active avoidance (CRAA) in Y-maze and behaviour in the open field under microinjections of hormones into the brain lateral ventricle (0.001-0.002 ME). It has been shown that all studied hormones improve animals learning at negative pain reinforcement; ThTH and ACTH retard it in contrast to STH, which accelerates the extinction of the elaborated CRAA; tropic hormones exert differentiated influence on rats behaviour in the open field. No distinct correlation was found between behavioural manifestation and the level of catecholamines in the rats hypothalamus.  相似文献

On Wistar rats characteristics were studied of investigating behaviour in the open field, of learning of conditioned food-reinforced reaction and also of BA and their metabolites content in various brain structures under local intracerebral injections of specific neurotoxins; 6-hydroxydopamine (6-OHDA) and 5,7-dihydroxytryptamine (5,7-DHT), abolishing correspondingly catecholaminergic and serotoninergic terminals. Bilateral injection of 6-OHDA in the neocortex led to a weakening of rats investigating activity in the open field and to an increase of the time of fulfillment of the forming of conditioned food-reinforced reaction. Administration of 5,7-DHT was accompanied by an increase of the investigating behaviour in the open field and a reduction of the duration of the forming of conditioned reaction. Administration of 6-OHDA to the neocortex caused a lowering of catecholamines level in the frontal area of the neocortex and the hippocampus. Analogous administration of 5,7-DHT elicited simultaneously with a deep level lowering of 5-HT and its metabolite in these structures, a change of catecholamines content which testifies to a lesser specificity of the neurotoxin 5,7-DHT in comparison with 6-OHDA. Structures lesion of serotoninergic and catecholaminergic systems of the frontal cortex and the hippocampus brought about by a local administration of 6-OHDA and 5,7-DHT in the neocortex was accompanied by differently directed changes in animals behaviour.  相似文献

Differences in the type of behaviour in capable ("maze-bright") and incapable ("maze-dull") Tryon rats have been demonstrated in the situation with pain-irritated partner by the method of "emotional resonance". Most "bright" rats belonged to the type not avoiding the signals of another pain-irritated rat, they revealed a persistent ecologically defensive reaction of preferring a small closed space. The type of anxiety behaviour prevailed in the group of "dull" rats. In the open field test "bright" rats were characterized by low locomotor activity and high level of defecation and "dull" rats by high activity and low defecation. Increased levels of superoxide dismutase activity and high content of thiobarbituric acid-reactive material were observed in brains of dull rats. The interrelations between behavioural and molecular levels of defensive response to stress is discussed.  相似文献

Characteristics of orienting behavior of intact and handled female white rats were studied in the "open field" test. Experimental group of animals were formed according to stages of estrous cycle: (1) diestrus, (2) proestrus, (3) estrus, and (4) metestrus. The stage of the cycle was determined by vaginal smears. Over the period of 10 days rats were handled daily for 5 minutes. No behavioral changes over the course of estrous cycle were found in intact rats. Handling revealed some behavioral features related to the levels of steroid hormones in reproductive cycle. Most prominent changes in orienting behavior were observed at transition from estrous to metestrous. At the stage of estrous motor activity was maximal and grooming was minimal. The maximal contrast in the structure of orienting behavior was observed between estrous and diestrous stages.  相似文献

Exposure to ethanol during pregnancy results in the alternation of 3H-diazepam binding to synaptosomal neocortical membranes from the rat offspring. In male experimental rats, 14 days of age, binding level diminished to 11%. In two-month-old control rats Scatchard plot was biphasic. It has been shown that prenatal exposure to ethanol leads to changes in the nature of binding in two-month-age experimental animals, as compared with the control ones. 3H-diazepam binding changes went along with behavioural deviations. In experimental rats locomotor activity was increased in the "open field" test, passive avoidance conditioned reflex retention was decreased and elaboration parameters of active avoidance conditioned reflex were changed, as compared with the control ones. The data obtained show that higher integrative functions were disturbed by prenatal alcoholization. Correlations between benzodiazepine receptor state and behaviour were studied.  相似文献
