Descriptions of five new species of Haplostylus (Mysidacea-Crustacea) from South West Australia

Five new species, Haplostylus flagelliforma sp. nov., H.similissp. nov., H.multispinosus sp. nov., H.uthupus sp. nov. and H.disparsp. nov., are described from the south-west coast of Australia.These new species are distinguishable from each other and fromthe other allied species by the structure of the pleopods ofthe male, and by the armature of the telson and the uropods.     

PHYLOGENY OF THE GENUS ROSTANGA (NUDIBRANCHIA), WITH DESCRIPTIONS OF THREE NEW SPECIES FROM SOUTH AFRICA

Rostanga elandsia sp. nov., Rostanga aureamala sp. nov. andRostanga phepha sp. nov. are characterized by having the radulawith slender innermost lateral teeth, which lack denticles onthe inner side of the cusp and have a single denticle on theouter side. The outermost lateral teeth of these three speciesare elongate, but shorter than in other species of the genus.In addition, R. aureamala is the only species of the genus withrachidian teeth and R. phepha is unique within the genus Rostanga byvirtue of its white coloration with dark spots. A phylogenetic analysis shows that the three new species fromSouth Africa and Rostanga setidens (Odhner, 1939) are the sistergroup of the rest of the genus. The species from Japan and MarshallIslands (North Pacific Ocean) are basal in the sister cladecontaining the other species of Rostanga Bergh, 1879. The tropicalIndo-Pacific species of Rostanga are not monophyletic. The Atlanticand Eastern Pacific species form a monophyletic, derived clade,being the sister group of Rostanga australis Rudman & Avern,1989, which has a narrow range restricted to south eastern Australia.The widespread Indo-Pacific species Rostanga bifurcata Rudman& Avern, 1989, is the sister group of Rostanga dentacus Rudman& Avern, 1989, also widesprad in the tropical western Pacific. This phylogeny suggest s a viariant origin of the Sourth African, Atlantic-EasternPacific, and probably North Pacific species, whereas in thetropical Indo-Pacific most sister speceis are sympatric. 记述分布于贵州的窗翅叶蝉属三新种,即锚纹窗翅叶蝉Mileewa anchora sp. nov.、船茎窗翅叶蝉M. ponta sp. nov.和乳突窗翅叶蝉M. papillata sp. nov.。模式标本保存在贵州农学院。     

中国条螽属一新种和施氏条螽雌性新发现(直翅目：螽斯总科)

广西稻田螯蜂三新种记述(膜翅目: 螯蜂科)

该文记述了广西稻田螯蜂3新种：广西双距螯蜂Gonatopus guangxiensis Xu et He, 殃叶蝉双距螯蜂Gonatopus euscelidivorus Xu et He和褐飞虱双距螯蜂Gonatopus nilaparvatae Xu et Yang。模式标本存于浙江农业大学。

四川西部蝇科三新种(双翅目：蝇科)

整理1979～1996年采自中国四川省西部的蝇类标本中,发现蝇科三新种：树棘蝇属 Potamia Robineau-Desvoidy, 1830一新种：鬃跗树棘蝇Potamia setitarsis sp. nov.; 胡蝇属 Drymeia Meigen,1826一新种：四川胡蝇Drymeia sichuanensis sp. nov; 池蝇属 Limnophora Robineau-Desvoidy, 1830一新种：灰黄池蝇 Limnophora cinerifulva sp. nov。模式标本存北京军事医学科学院医学昆虫标本馆。     

中国条脊牙甲科昆虫及一新种记述

条脊牙甲科(Hydrochidae)仅两属,我国仅报道一属二种,即越南条脊牙甲Hydrochus annamita Regimbart和日本条脊牙甲Hydrochus japonicus Sharp。该文记述了一新种脊鞘条脊牙甲Hydrochus rhytipterus sp.nov. 和一新记录种瘤鞘条脊牙甲Hydrochus binodosus Motschulsky。     

中国菲寄蝇属分类研究(双翅目: 寄蝇科)

经研究发现中国菲寄蝇属现共有9种,其中包括4新种：金额菲寄蝇Phebellia aurifrons sp. nov.,褐粉菲寄蝇Ph. fulvipollinis sp. nov.,宽叶菲寄蝇Ph. latisurstyla sp. nov.和毛基节菲寄蝇Ph. setocoxa sp. nov.。我国新记录3种：叶蜂菲寄蝇Ph. clavellariae (Brauer & Bergenstamm),灰粉菲寄蝇Ph. glauca (Meigen)和拟灰粉菲寄蝇Ph. glaucoides Herting。本文除详细描述新种特征及绘制特征图外,还提供中国菲寄蝇属已知种类的分种检索表。     

TWO NEW WATER MITES OF THE GENUS LEBERTIA (ACARI:LEB-ERTIOIDEA: LEBERTIIDAE) FROM CHINA*

Abstract This paper describes two new species of the family Lebertiidae Thor 1900, Lebertia (Pi-lolebertia) trifurcilla sp. nov. and Lebertia (Pilolebertia) ciliata sp. nov., based on which the locations of glandularia of the genus are defined.     

A TAXONOMIC STUDY OF THE GENUS XYSTOPHORA (LEPIDOPTERA:GELECHIIDAE) FROM CHINA*

Abstract The present paper deals with species of the genus Xystophora Wocke from China. Four species are described as new to science: Xystophora ingentidentalis sp. nov., Xystophora chengchengensis sp. nov., Xystophora paroisaccula sp. nov. and Xystophora novipsammitella sp. nov. Xystophora carchariella (Zeller) is reported for the first time from China. The genitalia figures of the new species and key to all the known Chinese species are provided.     

A TAXONOMIC STUDY ON COENOSIA TIGRINA SPECIES-GROUP(DIPTERA: MUSCIDAE) IN CHINA

The Chinese species of Coenosia tigrina species ‐ group of the genus Coenosia Meigen, 1826 are treated. One new species, C. albisquama sp. nov., and two new subspecies, C. attenuata brunnea subsp. nov. and C. strigipes bannaensis subsp. nov., are described. A key to Chinese species is given to seperate the species. The types specimens are deposited in the Institute of Entomology, Shenyang Normal University.     

DESCRIPTION OF SEVEN NEW SPECIES OF THE GENUS DICHOMERIS HÜBNER FROM CHINA (LEPIDOPTERA: GELECHIIDAE)*

Abstract The present paper reports seven new species of the genus Dichomeris Hübner from China, with genital structures illustrated. The species are: D. anglcstiptera sp. nov., D. mengdanu sp. nov., D. obscura sp. nov., D. rectifascia sp. nov., D. simacensis sp. nov., D. ferrogra sp. nov. and D. zonata sp. nov. The type specimens are deposited in the Institute of Zoology, Shaanxi Normal University.     

THE HOMOCALIGIDAE (ACARI:RAPHIGNATHOIDEA) FROM CHINA,WITH DESCRIPTION OF TWO NEW SPECIES*

Abstract This is the first report about family Homocaligidae from China. Two new species, Annerossella lii sp. nov. and Homocaligus erassipus sp. nov., living on Eichhornia crassipes (Mart.) from Fujian Province are described.     

TAXONOMICAL STUDIES ON ARGIDAE (HYMENOPTERA) OF CHINA— A NEW GENUS AND FIVE NEW SPECIES OF STERIC-TIPHORINAE*

Abstract A key is given for the known Palaearctic and Oriental genera of the family Argidae including a new genus from China. Ortasiceros gen. nov. with five new species, O. nigriceps sp. nov., O. zhengi sp. nov., O. breoicornis sp. nov., O. curvata sp. nov. and O. elevata sp. nov. are described and figured. A new tribe, Ortasicerini trib. nov., is erected for the new genus and Copidocerus Forsius 1921. The type specimens are deposited in the Insect Collection of Central South Forestry University, Zhuzhou, China.     

New Eocene dinoflagellate cysts from the southern edge of the Junggar Basin,Xinjiang, China

The Anjihaihe Formation in the southern edge of the Junggar Basin was previously considered a series of freshwater lacustrine depositions. However, abundant marine dinoflagellate cysts were recently recovered from the middle to upper part of the middle member of the formation. Two new genera, six new species and one new subspecies among the abundant dinoflagellate cysts are described and illustrated, i.e. Circulodinium? laeve sp. nov., Kaiwaradinium abbreviatum sp. nov., Spiniferites adnatus subsp. latispinus subsp. nov., Oligosphaeropsis accreta gen. et. sp. nov., Oligosphaeropsis complex gen. et. sp. nov., Oligosphaeropsis megaprocessa gen. et. sp. nov. and Tianshandinium biconicum gen. et. sp. nov. They are rare to common constituents of the dinoflagellate assemblage in the Anjihaihe Formation and may prove useful for regional biostratigraphic correlation and palaeoenvironment re-establishment.     

Patterns of evolution and extinction in proetid trilobites during the late Devonian mass extinction event,Canning Basin,Western Australia

Abstract: In the early Late Devonian, terminal Frasnian proetid trilobites have previously only been known from Europe and North Africa. For the first time, a rich fauna of late Frasnian proetids is described from the Virgin Hills Formation, Canning Basin, Western Australia. Seventeen species in six genera are described, of which three are new: Rudybole gen. nov., Palpebralina gen. nov. and Canningbole gen. nov. A new subgenus, Chlupaciparia (Australoparia) subgen. nov. is also described. Fourteen of the species are new: Palpebralia initialis sp. nov., P. pustulata sp. nov., ?P. sp. nov. A, Rudybole depressa sp. nov., Palpebralina pseudopalpebralis sp. nov. (comprising the subspecies P. pseudopalpebralis pseudopalpebralis subsp. nov. and P. pseudopalpebralis ultima subsp. nov.), P. minor sp. nov., P. ocellifer sp. nov., Canningbole latimargo sp. nov., C. henwoodorum sp. nov., C. macromma sp. nov., Pteroparia extrema sp. nov., Chlupaciparia (Chlupaciparia) planiops sp. nov., Chlupaciparia (Australoparia) australis sp. nov. and C. (Australoparia) lata sp. nov. The subspecies Rudybole adorfensis angusta subsp. nov. is also described. The proetids range through conodont Zones 11–13b and terminate at the Upper Kellwasser Event, which marks the terminal Frasnian mass extinction event. Three of the six proetid lineages, Palpebralia, Canningbole and Pteroparia, show evolutionary trends of eye reduction. Two of the remaining lineages, Rudybole and Palpebralina, consist exclusively of blind taxa. The last, Chlupaciparia, also comprises forms with reduced eyes. The proetids show a stepped pattern of extinction during the late Frasnian, which correlate with two Kellwasser biocrises documented in European/North African Frasnian sections. The highest diversity preceded the Lower Kellwasser event that occurred at the end of conodont Zone 12 and saw the extinction of all species present in that zone. However, only one genus, Pteroparia, locally became extinct. A major higher‐level taxonomic mass extinction at the top of Zone 13b initiated the Upper Kellwasser extinction event. This included extinction at the generic level, with all five remaining genera becoming extinct, and at the family level, with the loss of the Tropidocoryphidae.     

STUDIES ON THE CHINESE COLEOPHORIDAE (LEPIDOPTERA): COLEOPHORA SALICORNIAE GROUP WITH DESCRIPTIONS OF TWELVE NEW SPECIES*

Abstract This paper deals with twenty-nine species of Coleophora salicorniae group of Coleophoridae. Among them, twelve species (Coleophora lativalva sp. nov., C. ossaedeaga sp. nov., C. pendulivalvula sp. nov., C. novisqualorella sp. nov., C. capitargentella sp. nov., C. curvidentatella sp. nov., C. dorsiproducta sp. nov., C. harbinensis sp. nov., C. xinjiangensis sp. nov…C. cuprea sp. nov., C. pallidiptera sp. nov. and C. resupina sp. nov.) are described as new to science and fifteen species are newly recorded from China. Carpochena halostachyos Falkovitsh is proposed as a synonym of Coleophora plicipunctella Chrètien. Genitalia of new species are illustrated and females of Coleophora armeniae Baldizzone et Patzak, C. carchara Falkovitsh and C. sequens Falkovitsh are described for the first time. A key to Chinese species of Coleophora salicorniae group is given.
