寄生鳜鳃部的河鲈锚首吸虫的体壁由表皮合胞体、基板、环肌、纵肌和表皮细胞核周体所组成。合胞体顶部质膜起伏形成表皮的嵴纹,基部质膜折叠形成指状突起伸入到合胞体中。合胞体表面覆盖着一层糖萼。河鲈锚首吸虫的表皮中含有四类分泌体,即电子致密的分泌颗粒、中等电子致密的分泌颗粒、有膜包围的电子稀疏的分泌体和多囊体.可见分泌体和合胞体基质通过胞吐作用排到体外,未见吞饮小泡,推测表皮的主要功能在于分泌和渗透压调节而非营养吸收。在外侧头瓣的乳突状结构所在处,合胞层较薄,基板平滑,在实质组织中的一腔体样结构中可见囊状体、电子致密度各异的颗粒体、泡状体和电子致密的基质团,神经突起分布于腔体周围,这类乳突可能代表一类新的非纤毛感受器类型。  相似文献

The tegument of Orthocoelium scoliocoelium and Paramphistomum cervi was examined using histochemical techniques and electron microscopy. On the basis of the distribution of acid and alkaline phosphatase (E.C. 3.1.3.2, E.C. 3.1.3.1), non-specific esterase (E.C. 3.1.1.1), cholinesterase (E.C. 3.1.1.7) and succinate dehydrogenase (E.C. 1.3.99.1) at light microscope level two distinct regions were recognized, an outer and an inner zone. Electron microscopy revealed that the tegument comprises an outer surface syncytium underlain by a thick subsyncytial zone and musculature. Deeper still occur the nucleated "tegumental cells". The latter are in cytoplasmic continuity with the surface syncytium via vacuolated cytoplasmic trabeculae which traverse the muscle layers and the subsyncytial zone. Three types of tegumental cells each lacking mitochondria were observed. The T1 cells synthesize discoid and electron dense T1 bodies while T2 cells produce oval and electron lucent T2 bodies. The third type of tegumental cells apparently produce no secretory bodies and may represent an embryonic cell type. The surface syncytium contains T1 and T2 secretory bodies and is bounded apically by a plasma membrane invested externally by a fuzzy and filamentous glycocalyx. The surface syncytium lacks mitochondria and is traversed by infoldings of the basal plasma membrane. Beneath the surface syncytium the subsyncytial zone is largely comprised of fibrous interstitial material. This zone, which is particularly thick in the amphistomes, is traversed by trabeculae and extensions of underlying parenchymal cells which usually contain mitochondria and lysosomes. The subsyncytial zone overlies numerous circular and longitudinal muscle fibres. The absence of mitochondria and enzymes associated with active transport suggests that the amphistome tegument may be mainly specialized for protection of the worm against mechanical and chemical conditions prevailing in the rumen. Active uptake of nutrients is probably not a primary function.  相似文献

The tegument of the polyopisthocotylean monogenean Atriaster heterodus Lebedev & Parukhin, 1969 was studied using transmission electron microscopy. The outer syncytial layer of the tegument is connected to the internal cell bodies by cytoplasmic extensions which interweave between the muscular fibres. The free surface of the syncytium has projections of the external membrane which are similar to microvilli. The undulating basal membrane, with numerous narrow elongate projections, is associated with the basal lamina situated between the syncytial and muscular layers. The cell bodies and syncytial layer of the tegument exhibit two types of vesicles, one with fibrous contents and one with electron-dense contents; these were analysed using two cytochemical tests, the E-PTA and alcian blue methods, used for the first time on monogeneans.  相似文献

The effect of the anthelmintic preparation fenasal on the fine structure of tegument of the cestode Caryophyllaeus laticeps, a parasite of Cyprinidae, was studied in vitro. 10 mcg/ml concentration of fenasal causes numerous evaginations of the external cytoplasmic layer in the scolex of helminth. Inside these formations there are granules of secretion, mitochondria, vacuoles. At the same time microtrichia disappear from the surface, cytoplasmic layer gets thinner and its mitochondria degenerate. In the middle part of the body the number of microtrichia decreases, the layer of tegumental cells swells and conformational condition of its mitochondria changes. The degree of injury depends on the exposition time which was from 0 to 4 hours.  相似文献

The tegumental ultrastructure of the stomach fluke Lecithochirium musculus was studied using scanning and transmission electron microscopy. The surface of the tegument was smooth and covered by transverse cytoplasmic ridges. Cobblestone‐like units of the tegument were observed on the ventral surface. Invagination and evagination of the ecsoma induced variations in the tegumental surface. The ultrastructural study revealed that the tegument of L. musculus had a typical syncytial organization with a distal cytoplasm lying over a basal matrix and cytons. Two types of intra‐tegumental sensory structures were observed. Type 1 sensory receptor was a domed‐like fusiform structure consisting of a smooth elevation of the tegument. Four receptors of this type were observed on the anterior dorsal surface of the fluke. Three nerve bulbs filled with electron‐lucent material and mitochondria composed this receptor. Hemispherical electron‐dense collars were observed at the top of the nerve bulbs. Striated rootlets laid just beneath the hemispherical electron‐dense collars. Type 2 sensory receptor presented two morphological variations, i.e., a bulb‐like monolobed structure, and a bulb‐like bilobed structure observed at two different degrees of evagination. For both variations, the nerve bulb enclosed mitochondria, electron‐lucent material, and a conical electron‐dense collar from which extended a striated rootlet. The fine structure of the ciliated sensory endings of the unactivated metacestode of Hymenolepis microstoma is described. The type I sensilla, localized in areas of the scolex and sucker tegument, are characterized by a long cilium (1.20 × 0.20 μ) embedded in a bulb containing two electron-dense collars and three to five mitochondria. The type II sensilla, located in tegumentary pits of the rostellum, are characterized by a short cilium (0.62 × 0.28 μ) possessing ciliary rootlets, embedded in a bulb containing a single electron-dense collar and one to three mitochondria. Both sensory cilia are characterized by a 9 + 6 + 1 microtubular substructure. The sensory bulbs contain large numbers of membrane bound electron-lucent vesicles; neurotubules are absent at this stage of development.  相似文献

Oogenesis of the fresh-water triclad Dugesia dorotocephala has been studied by electron microscopical methods, with particular regard to the genesis and composition of the so-called “Balbiani body.” Its origin is clearly recognizable in young oocytes where the few mitochondria present seem to gather at the level of the perinuclear ooplasm. Here they surround dense masses of finely granular, fibrillar material probably coming from the nucleus. During the previtelloge ic period, mitochondria rapidly increase in number while the dense masses progressively dissolve. In the vitellogenic oocytes the Balbiani body shows its final configuration: it appears as a large area (up to 15-20 pm in diameter) consisting of innumerable densely packed mitochondria, some smooth vesicles and free ribosomes. This aggregate of cytoplasmic organelles remains unmodified in the mature oocytes. The function of the “Balbiani body” of D. dorotocephala is as yet unclear; it can only be asserted that it is not correlated with yolk production in which the endoplasmic reticulum and the Golgi complex are involved.  相似文献

Electron microscopy of the gastrodermis of Gorgoderina attenuata demonstrates a syncytial epithelium. Underlying the gastrodermis is a basal lamina in which are embedded circular and longitudinal muscles. The luminal surface is extended as digitiform cytoplasmic extensions that apparently aid in the absorption of nutrients. The cytoplasm demonstrates an extensive system of rough endoplasmic reticulum, Golgi areas, and numerous mitochondria. Three types of membrane-delimited vesicles are noted. They are designated DV1, DV2, and DV3. DV1 vesicles and DV2 vesicles demonstrate acid phosphatase activity and are interpreted as lysosomes and cytolysomes, respectively. The basal plasmalemma is infolded at irregular intervals. No indication of endocytotic activity is noted.  相似文献

The ultrastructure of the body tegument of Metamicrocotyla macracantha (Alexander, 1954) Koratha, 1955, parasite of Mugil liza from Brazil, was studied by transmission electron microscopy. The body tegument is composed of an external syncytial layer, musculature, and an inner layer containing tegumental cells. The syncytium consists of a matrix containing three types of body inclusions and mitochondria. The musculature is constituted of several layers of longitudinal and circular muscle fibers. The tegumental cells present a well-developed nucleus, cytoplasm filled with ribosomes, rough endoplasmatic reticulum and mitochondria, and characteristic organelles of tegumental cells.  相似文献

The tegument of adult Saccocoelioides godoyi Kohn & Froes, 1986 (Digenea: Haploporidae), specimens of which were collected from the intestine of the freshwater fish, Leporinus friderici (Bloch, 1794) (Anostomidae) from the reservoir of Itaipu Hydroelectric Power Station, Parana State, Brazil, was studied by transmission electron microscopy. The tegument comprises an external anucleate layer, covered by a surface plasma membrane and associated glycocalyx. The surface layer is bound by the basal plasma membrane and contains spines, two types of inclusion bodies and mitochondria. Tegumental cell bodies are located beneath the surface musculature and contain a single nucleus, cytoplasm with rough endoplasmic reticulum, mitochondria, ribosomes, and inclusion bodies similar to those found in the external layer. Cytoplasmic strands connect the cell bodies to the external surface layer, suggesting that the inclusion bodies are produced in these cells and pass up into the syncytium, as is known for other digeneans from experimental evidence.  相似文献

The ultrastructure of the tegument and tegument-associated microorganisms of the gyliauchenid digenean Gyliauchen nahaensis is described by transmission and scanning electron microscopy. The tegument is devoid of surface spines and is characterized by a moderately folded apical membrane, abundant vesicles, basal mitochondria, a folded basal plasma membrane, and a thick basal matrix. Microorganisms form a dense biofilm on the tegument of the posterodorsal surface and the excretory papilla. At least 7 microbial morphotypes were identified, including eubacteria, spirochaetes, and nanobacteria.  相似文献

The surface topography and ultrastructure of the tegument of Paranaella luquei Kohn, Baptista-Farias & Cohen, 2000, a microcotylid monogenean parasite from the gills of Hypostomus regani (Ihering, 1905) (Loricariidae) was studied by scanning (SEM) and transmission electron microscopy (TEM). By SEM, it was observed that the tegument presents transversal ridges, forming folds in the ventral and dorsal surfaces and microvillous-like tegumental projections in the anterior and median regions of body. These projections were also observed by TEM. The tegument is made up of a syncytium delimited by apical and basal plasma membranes, containing inclusion bodies and mitochondria, connected to the nucleated region by means of cytoplasmatic processes. The tegumental cells present a well developed nucleus and cytoplasm containing inclusion bodies, similar to those found on the external layer, mitochondria, rough endoplasmatic reticulum and free ribossomes.  相似文献

Summary Nutritive phagocytosis in the hydroid Clava squamata was studied with the electron microscope, using carbon particles of 0.6 as an indicator.An early step in phagocytosis is the transformation, in many cells, of the free border from a type with cylindrical microvilli to one with a complicated system of cytoplasmic folds.Particles fixed at the actual stage of ingestion are found (a) between two cytoplasmic folds, (b) between a fold and a relatively straight portion of the cell surface, or (c) in a depression of an otherwise straight portion of the cell surface.Ingested carbon particles were always found enclosed by a membrane, with a layer of moderate electron density between the carbon particle and the membrane.The ingested carbon particles are localized apically in small vesicles each containing one particle (interpreted as primary phagocytic vesicles) or at deeper levels of the cell, in larger vesicles containing many carbon particles (interpreted as secondary phagocytic vesicles).Other cytoplasmic changes during phagocytosis relate to the distribution of mitochondria and the occurence and distribution of flattened vesicles of a characteristic appearance.With the technical assistance of Birgitta af Burén.Financial support from Swedish Natural Science Research Foundation is gratefully acknowledged.  相似文献

The fusion cell in Asterocolax gardneri Setch, is a large, multinucleate, irregularly-shaped cell resulting from cytoplasmic fusions of haploid and diploid cells. Subsequent enlargement takes place by incorporating adjacent gonimoblast cells. The resultant cell consists of two parts—a central portion of isolated cytoplasm, surrounded by an electron dense cytoplasmic barrier, and the main component of the fusion cell cytoplasm surrounding the isolated cytoplasm. The fusion cell contains many nuclei, large quantities of floridean starch, endoplasmic reticulum, and vesicles, but few mitochondria, plastids and dictyosomes. The endoplasmic reticulum forms vesicles that apparently secrete large quantities of extracellular mucilage which surrounds the entire carposporophyte. The isolated cytoplasm also is multinucleate but lacks starch and a plasma membrane. Few plastids, ribosomes and mitochondria are found in this cytoplasm. However, numerous endoplasmic reticulum cisternae occur near the cytoplasmic barrier and they appear to secrete material for the barrier. In mature carposporophytes, all organelles in the isolated cytoplasm have degenerated.  相似文献

Summary The ultrastructure of tegumental and subtegumental receptors in the larva of Austramphilina elongata is described. The receptors are terminal swellings of dendrites and contain numerous small vesicles and neurofilaments which are predominantly peripheral. Tegumental receptors, together with a sheath consisting of basal lamina and tegument, project into the epidermis, and cross-striated rootlets were sometimes found in them. Subtegumental receptors lie below the tegument and ciliary rootlets were never observed in them. Anterior dendrites contain single centrioles and clusters of centrioles. Summary Coated membranes in two types of gill epithelial cell of adult lamprey, Lampetra japonica, were studied by electron microscopy. The type 3 gill epithelial cells possess well-developed microvilli or microfolds, apical vesicles and abundant mitochondria. The cytoplasmic surface of the microvillous plasma membrane is covered by a coat of regularly spaced particles with a center-to-center distance of about 15 nm. Each particle consists of a bulbous free end, about 10 nm in diameter, and a connecting piece, about 5 nm long. Apical vesicles are covered by a surface coat which consists of fine filamentous material but lack any special coating on their cytoplasmic surface.The type 4 cells (chloride cells) are characterized by apical vesicles, abundant mitochondria and cytoplasmic tubules. These tubules possess a coat on their luminal surface which consists of spirally wound parallel rows of electron-dense materials. The rows are about 16 nm apart and wound at a pitch of about 45°. The cytoplasmic surface of these tubules does not display a special coat. These coated membranes are assumed to be the sites of active ion transport across the plasma membrane. In particular, particles in type 3 cells and linear coat materials in chloride cells may be either loci of transport enzymes or energy generating systems. Apical vesicles lack any coating on their cytoplasmic surface but a fine filamentous coat is present on their luminal surface. They contain intraluminal vesicles and are continuous with apical ends of cytoplasmic tubules.  相似文献

The fine structure of three sensory receptors of the rosette organ of Gyrocotyle rugosa, is described. The Type I sensory receptors, localised towards the edge of both upper and lower surfaces, are characterized by a long cilium embedded in a bulb containing two electron-dense collars and several mitochondria. The Type II sensory receptors, larger than Type I, are located on the upper surface of the rosette and have a long cilium and a ciliary rootlet. They also have two electron-dense collars and one or two mitochondria. The sensory cilia of both types are characterized by 9 + 2 axonemes. The Type III sensory receptors, localised on the under surface, lack a sensory cilium but have a ciliary rootlet and are enclosed in the tegument and musculature; there is a complicated three-dimensional spherical lattice of microfibrils associated with the rootlet. The sensory bulbs contain large numbers of membrane bound vesicles and neurotubules. A function is postulated for each of the three types of sensory receptors.  相似文献

A new type of cell has been identified in cercariae of Schistosoma mansoni. The perikarya (cell bodies) of these cells were located in the body (midsegment), in an area oral to the acetabulum (ventral sucker). Cytoplasmic processes extending from the perikarya ramified throughout the parenchyma of the anterior organ (oral sucker), body, and tail segments by following the path of the nerve processes from the neuropile. The perikarya of these cells had heterochromatic nuclei and a predominance of particulate material and granules (240-360 nm) in their cytoplasm. Aggregates of granules (240-360 nm) and associated vesicles (34 nm) were scattered throughout the cytoplasmic processes of the cells and formed distinct varicosed areas. These processes often connected to the tegument in the midsegment (body) of the cercariae. The granules and associated vesicles reacted (became electron dense) with fixatives reported to be detectors of biogenic amines: The glutaraldehyde/osmium tetroxide fixation procedure rendered the granules electron dense while the glutaraldehyde/chromate/osmium tetroxide fixation procedure rendered the granules and the associated vesicles electron dense. The chromate solution of the latter procedure was responsible for the electron density of the associated vesicles. The morphology of these cells (their long ramifying cytoplasmic processes) and their reaction to chromium suggests that they are probably biogenic aminergic sensory cells.  相似文献

and 1986. The surface topography and ultrastructure of the tegument and haptor of Pricea multae (Monogenea). International Journal for Parasitology 16: 581–589. Pricea multae is a gill parasite of Scomberomorus spp. In the present study, the surface specialization and ultrastructure of the tegument and haptor were examined in detail. The buccal cavity and the preoral pit bear uniciliated sensory endings. The genital atrium opens on the ventral surface whereas the vaginal pore opens on the dorsal surface of the anterior region. The general body surface is elevated by pits and folds together with papillae-like uniciliated sensory endings. Microvilli are uncommon.

The syncytium of the tegument is bounded by apical and basal plasma membranes. Some electron-dense granules and electron-lucent vesicles were observed exocytosing at the apical surface. The tegumental perikarya lie amongst the muscle blocks underneath the basal lamina. The body wall muscle fibres are non-striated consisting of thick and thin myofilaments. Each muscle fibre is limited by a sarcolemma and separated from neighbouring fibres by interstitial material.

The haptor possesses two rows of pincer-type clamps. The clamps may be withdrawn by muscles into cavity-like depressions. Electron-dense fibrils are embedded within the clamp sclerite matrix. The intrinsic muscles of the clamp include radial muscles enclosed within the basal lamina. The muscle fibres enclosed within the basal lamina of the clamp appear to differ from the body wall muscles by the absence of interstitial material, the possession of well defined gap junctions between the sarcolemma of adjacent muscle fibres, abundant sarcoplasmic reticulum and numerous mitochondria. The extrinsic muscles of the clamp presumably arise from the dorso-lateral surface of the haptor and are apparently connected to the tendon of the clamp. A cluster of gland cells occurs in the haptor beneath each clamp. The haptor is richly supplied with nerve fibres which are associated with groups of neurones. Each axon is non-myelinated and contains presumed neurosecretory granules. The peripheries of some of the large axons are subdivided by invaginations of the axon wall.  相似文献

The female reproductive system of viviparous monogeneans (Gyrodactylus and Macrogyrodactylus) has been examined using fluorescence microscopy and transmission electron microscopy. The female system is tubular, made up of a thin-walled proximal seminal receptacle/ootype and a distal uterus, separated by a complex cellular region. Both parts have a continuous syncytial cytoplasmic lining. Maturing oocytes in the seminal receptacle/ootype are in intimate contact with the receptacle lining. The uterus cytoplasmic lining completely surrounds the developing embryo, and is continuous with anterior and posterior cell bodies which fluoresce strongly when stained with bisBenzimide. This lining is most extensive around small embryos, when it contains specialised organelles including star-shaped configurations of electron-dense membranes and multilamellate bodies. Pits in the uterus wall bridged by membranous structures connect the cytoplasmic lining to parenchyma or digestive cells. The cytoplasmic lining regresses as the embryo develops, but remains continuous and in intimate contact with the embryonic tegument (at least until the near-term embryo begins independent movement). Numerous ribosomes, membranes and mitochondria in the uterine cytoplasmic layer indicate a high metabolic rate, and exo/endocytotic vesicles in the F1 tegument suggest transfer of materials occurs between parent and embryo. Putative vitelline cells in the posterior of the body contain abundant RNA, ribosomes and membrane-bound secretory bodies, and are filled with an electron-lucent secretion. However, there are no ducts associated with these cells, and their function remains unknown. The cytoplasmic lining of both the seminal receptacle/ootype and the uterus appears to regulate oocyte/embryo nutrition. Similar syncytial layers occur in rotifers, but are unlike the nutritive epithelia of most other viviparous organisms.  相似文献
