The generation of lymphokine-activated killer (LAK) cells in vitro has been reported to require 100-1000 units of recombinant interleukin-2 (IL2). In this study we investigated the generation of human LAK cells with low-dose IL2 (1-10 U) in combination with human tumor cell lines. A significant LAK activity was generated within 3- to 5-days culture of PBL. Among six human tumor cell lines tested, the K562 cell line had the greatest stimulating activity, and the degree of cytotoxicity was comparative to that of PBL stimulated with higher doses of IL2 alone. The origin of this LAK activity was primarily the E(-) rosetting cell population. Cocultures of E- cells with 1 U/ml IL2 plus K562 had significantly higher cytotoxicity (P less than 0.05) compared to using E+ cells. Phenotypic analysis indicated that 1 U/ml IL2 plus K562 cell stimulation enhanced CD56+ and CD16+ cells. These studies suggest that very low dosages of IL2 with stimulator tumor cells can generate LAK activity comparable to that generated with high dosages of IL2 alone.  相似文献

Summary Using a 4-h 51Cr release assay, we observed that thymocytes from Fischer strain rats incubated with recombinant human interleukin-2 (rhIL-2) developed cytotoxicity to YAC-1 lymphoma, 9L-glioma, and B-16 melanoma cells (effector/target ratio =25/1). Induction of the lymphokine-activated killer (LAK) cells was as follows: (1) when 5×106/ml thymocytes were cultured with various concentrations of rhIL-2 (50, 125, 250, 500, or 1,000 units/ml) for 4 days, no cell proliferation was observed at any concentration. However, the LAK cells showed significant cytotoxicity toward all tumor cells at more than 50 units/ml. (2) When 5×106/ml thymocytes were cultured for 1 to 6 days with 250 units/ml of rhIL-2, the harvested cell count decreased markedly after the 2nd day. The cytotoxicity of all the tumor cells became significant after the 2nd day, with peak activity on the 4th day. In rat splenocytes, on the other hand, the LAK cells could not be identified because rat splenocytes developed nonspecific cytotoxicity in medium containing fetal calf serum without adding rhIL-2.  相似文献

We have examined the effect of the intradermal administration of IL-2 on the generation of natural killer (NK) cell and lymphokine-activated killer (LAK) cell activity. Peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMC) obtained from borderline lepromatous (BL) and lepromatous leprosy (LL) patients and normal volunteers prior to and after IL-2 injection were stimulated in vitro with IL-2 and their cytolytic activities compared against 51Cr labeled target K562 cells, Daudi cells, and monocytes. Before IL-2 administration, PBMC obtained from BL/LL patients and normal volunteers possessed similar levels of NK cell activity indicating that the NK cell activity of the BL/LL patients was intact. LAK cell activity was induced with IL-2 in vitro in both BL/LL patients and in normal volunteers. The level of LAK cell activity in BL/LL patients was, however, suboptimal. A single intradermal dose of 25 micrograms IL-2 had no effect on the phenotype of circulating mononuclear cells in either patients or normal volunteers. However, 6-12 days after IL-2 injection and subsequent restimulation of the PBMC with IL-2 in vitro, cytolytic activity of LAK cells obtained from the BL/LL patients was enhanced while cells from normal volunteers expressed the same high levels of activity as observed before IL-2 injection.  相似文献

Summary Lymphokine-activated killer (LAK) cell activity was measured in human peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMC) treated in vitro for 3 days with recombinant interleukin-2 (rIL-2) and mismatched double-stranded RNA (dsRNA). Lytic activity was measured utilizing K562 (NK-sensitive) and 786-0 (NK-resistant) target cells. PBMC cultured with rIL-2 (10–1000 BRMP U/ml) alone showed concentration-dependent lytic activity against the 786-0 target cells, while cells cultured in unsupplemented medium or medium supplemented with mismatched dsRNA (200 µg/ml) alone could not lyse the 786-0 targets. The combination of mismatched dsRNA with suboptimal concentrations of rIL-2 (10–30 U/ml) showed enhancement of both natural killer (NK) and LAK cell activities. The uptake of [3H]thymidine by treated effector cells was dependent on time and rIL-2 concentration and was not increased in the cells treated with low-dose rIL-2/mismatched dsRNA, compared to those treated with low-dose rIL-2 or mismatched dsRNA alone. Similarly, changes in the expression of CD3, CD4, CD8, CD57, CD16 and CD25 cell surface antigens were dependent on rIL-2 concentration and not altered by the presence of mismatched dsRNA. These results indicate that mismatched dsRNA can potentiate rIL-2-induced LAK cell activity by increasing the functional activity per cell, rather than by increasing the number of activated cells.  相似文献

Nine patients with recurrent glioblastoma were given autologous adherent lymphokine-activated killer (A-LAK) cells and interleukin-2 (IL-2) administered directly into the tumor cavity through an Ommaya tube placed during surgery/biopsy. The immunotherapy was well tolerated and the response rate was 33% (one complete response, two partial responses, four with stable disease and two with progressive disease). However, survival 18 months from initial diagnosis did not differ from that reported in the literature for patients treated conventionally. Serial determinations of IL-2 in the tumor cavity during the course of treatment revealed that IL-2 concentrations were sufficient to maintain lymphocyte activation. Since steroid medication was discontinued during treatment and A-LAK cells have greater antitumor activity than standard LAK cells, other factors are discussed that might explain the limited results.  相似文献

We showed previously that adoptive immunotherapy with the combination of LAK cells and recombinant IL 2 (RIL 2) can markedly reduce pulmonary micrometastases from multiple sarcomas established 3 days after the i.v. injection of syngeneic tumor cells in C57BL/6 mice. In this report, we analyzed the factors required for successful therapy. Titration analysis in vivo revealed an inverse relationship between the number of pulmonary metastases remaining after treatment and both the number of LAK cells and the amount of RIL 2 administered. Fresh or unstimulated splenocytes had no anti-tumor effect; a 2- to 3-day incubation of splenocytes in RIL 2 was required. LAK cells generated from allogeneic DBA (H-2d) splenocytes were as effective in vivo as syngeneic, C57BL/6 (H-2b) LAK cells. The anti-metastatic capacity of LAK cells was significantly reduced or eliminated when irradiated with 3000 rad before adoptive transfer. The combined therapy of LAK cells plus RIL 2 was shown to be highly effective in mice immunosuppressed by 500 rad total body irradiation and in treating macrometastases established in the lung 10 days after the i.v. injection of sarcoma cells. Further, reduction of both micrometastases and macrometastases could also be achieved by RIL 2 alone when administered at higher levels than were required with LAK cells. The value of LAK cell transfer and of IL 2 administration for the treatment of tumors established at other sites is currently under investigation.  相似文献

Summary The short-term exposure of peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMC) to recombinant human interleukin-2 (rhIL-2) at 37°C leads to the generation of lymphokine-activated killer (LAK) activity similar in magnitude to that obtained by the exposure of PBMC to rhIL-2 continuously for 3–5 days. In order to investigate whether the required signal for LAK induction occurred during the short exposure to rhIL-2 or at a later point in the induction phase, PBMC were exposed to rhIL-2 for 1 h at 4°C and then exposed to a low-pH wash to remove bound IL-2 from its receptor. PBMC treated in such a way showed increased LAK activity and proliferation compared to cells exposed to rhIL-2 alone. Expression of the p55 () subunit of the IL-2 receptor was also increased. In order to cause the augmentation, a lowering of the pH below 4.0 was necessary, and exposure of PBMC to low pH alone (in the absence of rhIL-2) failed to cause activation. Another relevant feature was a transient increase in the expression of the p75 subunit of the IL-2 receptor ( chain) immediately following the exposure to low pH and the release of interferon , tumour necrosis factor and IL-6; activation was blocked by the inclusion of neutralising antisera raised against rhIL-2 and interferon , thus demonstrating that the endogenous release of these cytokines is important for activation.  相似文献

Induction of murine lymphokine-activated killer cells by recombinant IL-7   总被引:7,自引:0,他引:7  
The data demonstrate that IL-7, a cytokine that was originally identified, purified, and cloned based upon its ability to support the growth of pre-B cells in vitro, also induces proliferation and promotes the generation of lymphokine-activated killer (LAK) cell activity in populations of resting peripheral lymphoid cells. Although the kinetics of LAK induction by IL-7 (which peaked at days 6 to 8 of culture) was slower than that detected in cultures containing IL-2 (which peaked at day 4), IL-7 was significantly more effective at maintaining cytotoxic activity over longer periods of time, and greater viable cell recoveries, than was IL-2. A wide range of murine tumor target cells were found to be lysed in an MHC-unrestricted fashion by IL-7 induced LAK, but syngeneic Con A-induced lymphoblasts were not; nor were target cells from the human tumors K562 or Daudi lysed by IL-7 LAK. IL-7 LAK were induced in populations of lymphoid cells obtained from secondary lymphoid tissues (peripheral lymph nodes and spleen), but not from primary lymphoid tissues (thymus and bone marrow). LAK induced by IL-7 from unfractionated populations of lymphoid cells were completely eliminated by treatment with anti-CD8 or anti-Thy-1+C, and unaffected by treatment with anti-CD4, anti-asialo GM1 or anti-NK1.1+C. Interestingly, although no detectable CD4+ effector cells could be detected in populations of LAK generated from unfractionated populations of lymphoid cells stimulated by IL-7, they were found to be generated from populations of lymphoid cells from which CD8+ cells had been eliminated before being cultured in medium containing IL-7. These data suggest that CD4+ T cells do not normally give rise to IL-7-induced LAK unless they are first separated from CD8+ T cells. LAK induced by IL-7 appear to be distinct from LAK activity induced by IL-2 in that there is no detectable involvement of NK-like effector cells at either the precursor or effector cell stages.  相似文献

Summary The activity of lymphokine-activated killer (LAK) cells is supported by various cytokines. The objective of this study was to see if recombinant interleukin-6 (IL-6) either alone or in combination with interleukin-2 (IL-2) has any effect on the generation of LAK cells. Peripheral blood mononuclear cells of healthy donors were cultured for 4 or 6 days with both cytokines either alone or in combination. LAK activity against K562 and natural killer-resistant Daudi cells was assessed by a 4-h and an 18-h51Cr-release assay at various effector to target ratios. IL-6 alone in increasing concentrations did not induce LAK cell activity. Neither additive nor synergistic effects of IL-6 with IL-2 were observed. Immunofluorescence analysis with phycoerythrin-conjugated anti-CD56 antibody demonstrated that IL-6 could not maintain or increase the number of CD56-positive cells over a 6-day culture period. These results suggest that IL-6 does not support LAK cell generation by itself or increase LAK cell activity in combination with IL-2.  相似文献

Our previous studies demonstrated that the incubation of human peripheral blood lymphocytes or murine splenocytes in recombinant interleukin 2 (RIL 2) resulted in the generation of lymphokine-activated killer (LAK) cells capable of lysing a broad spectrum of fresh tumors in short-term chromium-release assays. Moreover, injections of LAK cells plus RIL 2 were highly effective in eliminating established 3 day metastases in the lung and liver (1-3). We have examined several parameters to define whether or not the cytolytic activity of LAK cells as measured in vitro correlated directly with the in vivo anti-tumor efficacy of adoptively transferred LAK cells. LAK cells plus RIL 2 could mediate marked reductions of established pulmonary metastases in mice rendered T cell deficient by adult thymectomy and lethal, total body irradiation followed by reconstitution with T cell-depleted bone marrow and spleen cells. Thus there was no requirement for additional T lymphocytes of host origin for successful therapy with adoptively transferred LAK cells plus RIL 2. Fresh splenocytes depleted of T cells by anti-Thy-1.2 monoclonal antibody plus complement generated LAK cells that were as highly lytic to fresh tumor in vitro and were as effective in reducing established pulmonary metastases as those generated from untreated or complement-treated splenocytes. Thus the precursor to LAK cells with anti-tumor activity in vitro and in vivo did not express the Thy-1 antigenic marker. In contrast, treatment of LAK effector cells (those generated from a 3-day incubation of fresh, normal splenocytes in RIL 2) with anti-Thy-1.2 antibody plus complement reduced or abolished their in vitro cytolytic activity. However, when combined with the systemic administration of RIL 2, these T cell-depleted, non-lytic LAK cells remained as effective in reducing the number of established pulmonary metastases upon adoptive transfer as untreated or complement-treated lytic LAK cells.(ABSTRACT TRUNCATED AT 400 WORDS)  相似文献

Summary We have used a BALB/c colonic adenocarcinoma (C-26) to evaluate the therapeutic potential of recombinant interleukin-2 (rIL-2) at high and low dosages in combination with or without lymphokine-activated killers (LAK) or tumor-specific, immune lymphocytes in either an adjuvant spontaneous or an artificial metastasis system. Most (80%) of the mice that underwent s.c. C-26 tumor excision were shown to die of spontaneous metastasis with lung involvement by 1–4 months after excision. Postsurgical systemic treatment with low-dose rIL-2 (3 × 104 U/day, i.p.) increased the survival rate to 31% as compared to 21% (not significant) in excised controls while administration of high-dose rIL-2 (8 × 104 U/day) led to 53% survival (P <0.01). Both LAK cells and C-26-tumor-immune lymphocytes given during rIL-2 treatment significantly increased the effects of rIL-2 at the low but not at the high-dose, with tumor-immune effectors resulting in the highest percentage (63%) of cures. When mice bearing 3-day artificial lung metastases of C-26 cells were treated with low- or high-dose rIL-2, in combination with or without LAK or tumor-immune lymphocytes, a highly significant reduction or abrogation of the number of lung foci was observed with all treatments, including those involving or tumor-immune lymphocytes alone. Assessment of survival benefit in these mice, however, showed survival prolongation, with 20% cures achieved by low-dose rIL-2 alone and up to 65% cures by LAK in combination with low-dose rIL-2. In this system of artificial metastasis high-dose rIL-2 alone increased the survival time but failed to cure the animals, and the addition of LAK was ineffective whereas that of tumor-immune lymphocytes led to 80% cure. These results suggest that tumorimmune lymphocytes are more effective than LAK when combined with rIL-2 and that caution is necessary in extrapolating findings obtained in artificial metastasis models.  相似文献

To study the effect of IL-6 on the development of cytotoxic cells, we examined lymphokine-activated killer (LAK) activity generated from human nonadherent PBL. Addition of rIL-6 at the initiation of 5-day PBL cultures significantly increases LAK activity in the presence of low concentrations (between 5 and 25 u/ml) of rIL-2. RIL-6 alone induces no PBL LAK activity but at doses as low as 0.8 u/ml rIL-6 enhances LAK activity with optimal enhancement of LAK at 5.0 u/ml of rIL-6. This enhancement is independent of effects on cells growth as rIL-6 did not affect the cell recovery of PBL cultured in rIL-2. RIL-6-enhanced LAK is mediated by the same type of effector cells as those of LAK from rIL-2 alone with effector cells primarily generated from large granular CD3-negative E rosetting lymphocytes. RIL-6 does not change the time course of LAK development and pretreatment of PBL with rIL-6 has no effect on the PBL response to subsequent rIL-2 induction of LAK. Addition of rIL-6 to LAK cultures 2 hr before the cytotoxicity assay shows equal enhancement as addition at the initiation of the culture. However, rIL-6 requires the presence of both rIL-2 and another factor in the supernatant from LAK cultures in order to enhance LAK. Our results indicate that IL-6 can modulate LAK activity at a very late stage of LAK development, and that the enhancement by IL-6 is dependent on the presence of IL-2 and another soluble factor generated during rIL-2 culture.  相似文献

Summary The severe combined immunodeficient (SCID) mouse, lacking functional T and B lymphocytes, has been considered by many groups to be a prime candidate for the reconstitution of a human immune system in a laboratory animal. In addition, this immuno-deficient animal would appear to have excellent potential as a host for transplanted human cancers, thus providing an exceptional opportunity for the study of interactions between the human immune system and human cancer in a laboratory animal. However, because this animal model is very recent, few studies have been reported documenting the capability of these mice to accept human cancers, and whether or not the residual immune cells in these mice (e.g. natural killer, NK, cells; macrophages) possess antitumor activities toward human cancers. Thus, the purpose of this study was (a) to determine whether or not a human breast carcinoma cell line (MCF-7) can be successfully transplanted to SCID mice, (b) to determine whether or not chronic treatment of SCID mice with a potent lymphokine (recombinant interleukin-2, rIL-2) could alter MCF-7 carcinoma growth, and (c) to assess whether or not rIL-2-activated NK cells (LAK cells) are important modulators of growth of MCF-7 cells in SCID mice. To fulfill these objectives, female SCID mice were implanted s.c. with MCF-7 cells (5 × 106 cells/mouse) at 6 weeks of age. Six weeks later, some of the mice were injected i.p. twice weekly with rIL-2 (1 × 104 U mouse–1 injection–1). Results clearly show that MCF-7 cells can grow progressively in SCID mice; 100% of the SCID mice implanted with MCF-7 cells developed palpable measurable tumors within 5–6 weeks after tumor cell inoculation. In addition, MCF-7 tumor growth was significantly (P <0.01) suppressed by rIL-2 treatment. rIL-2 treatment was non-toxic and no effect of treatment on body weight gains was observed. For non-tumor-bearing SCID mice, splenocytes treated in vitro with rIL-2 (lymphokine-activated killer, LAK, cells) or splenocytes derived from rIL-2-treated SCID mice (LAK cells) had significant (P <0.01) cytolytic activity toward MCF-7 carcinoma cells in vitro. In contrast, splenocytes (LAK cells) derived from tumor(MCF-7)-bearing rIL-2-treated SCID mice lacked cytolytic activities toward MCF-7 cells in vitro. No significant concentration of LAK cells in MCF-7 human breast carcinomas was observed nor did rIL-2 treatment significantly alter growth of MCF-7 cells in vitro. Thus, while rIL-2 treatment significantly suppressed growth of MCF-7 breast carcinomas in SCID mice, the mechanism of this growth suppression, albeit clearly not involving T and B lymphocytes, does not appear to be mediated via a direct cytolytic activity of LAK cells toward the carcinoma cells. However, rIL-2-activated SCID mouse splenocytes (LAK cells) do possess the capability of significant cytolytic activity toward MCF-7 human breast carcinoma cells. Thus, treatment of SCID mice with a potent lymphokine (rIL-2) induces a significant antitumor host response, a response that does not involve T and B lymphocytes and appears not to involve NK/LAK cells. This host response must be considered in future studies designed to investigate the interactions of reconstituted human immune systems and human cancers within this highly promising immuno deficient experimental animal model.  相似文献

Summary Thein vivo administration of repetitive weekly cycles of interleukin-2 (IL-2) to patients with cancer enhances the ability of freshly obtained peripheral blood lymphocytes (PBL) to lyse both the natural-killer(NK)-susceptible K562 and the NK-resistant Daudi targets. Lysis of both targets is significantly augmented by inclusion of IL-2 in the medium during the cytotoxicity assay. This boost is much greater for cells obtained following thein vivo IL-2 therapy than for cells obtained prior to the initiation of therapy or for cells from healthy control donors. In addition to direct lytic activity, the PBL obtained followingin vivo IL-2 show a rapid increase in lymphokine-activated killer (LAK) activity with more prolongedin vitro IL-2 exposure, indicating that LAK effectors primedin vivo respond with secondary-like kinetics to subsequent IL-2in vitro. Lymphocytes from healthy control individuals, cultured in IL-2 under conditions attempting to simulate thein vivo IL-2 exposure, function similarly to PBL obtained from patients following IL-2, in that low-level LAK activity was significantly boosted by inclusion of IL-2 during the cytotoxic assay and the cells also responded with secondary-like kinetics to subsequent IL-2in vitro. The augmentation of the LAK effect was also dependent on the dose of IL-2 added during the 4-h51Cr-release cytotoxicity assay, with higher doses of IL-2 having a more pronounced effect. While continuous infusion of IL-2 induces a greater cytotoxic potential per milliliter of blood obtained from patients, the peak serum IL-2 levels attained are greater with bolus IL-2 infusions. These pharmacokinetic results, together with the IL-2 dose dependence of LAK activity generatedin vivo shown in this report, suggest that a combination of treatment with bolus IL-2 infusions superimposed on continuous IL-2 infusion may transiently expose IL-2 dependent LAK cells, activatedin vivo, to higher concentrations of IL-2, facilitating theirin vivo cytotoxic potential.This work was supported by NIH contract NO1 CM-47669-02, NIH grants CA-32685, RR-031086, NO1 CM-47669-03, and American Cancer Society grant CH-237  相似文献

The methodological aspects of Lak-cells functional activity test were determined. NK-resistance of P-815 culture cells and NK-sensitive K-562 cells were used as target cells. The highest cytotoxicity level was registered at the 5-th day of culturing MNC with rIL-2 at the final concentration (100 U/ml). The method developed was used for testing healthy donors group and group of patients with IL-2 dependent immunodeficiency (ophthalmic herpes). Data obtained show the significant decrease of LAK-cells functional activity of patients in comparison with healthy donors. Thus, the developed method is recommended for complex estimation of immune status of patients with IL-2-dependent immuno deficiency.  相似文献

This study was designed to isolate and phenotypically characterize lymphokine-activated killer (LAK) cells generated in vivo during administration of high dose rIL-2 to cancer patients. The development of circulating LAK effector cells in these patients was demonstrated by the ability of fresh PBL to exhibit lytic activity against the NK-resistant Daudi cell line and fresh tumor cells without prior in vitro culture with rIL-2. Kinetic studies demonstrated that circulating LAK effector cells are detectable 4 to 6 wk after the initiation of rIL-2 therapy. Cells isolated by FACS revealed that circulating LAK cells are Leu-19+, Leu-17+ but CD5-. We have previously reported that circulating Leu-19+ cells are heterogeneous with regard to the expression of CD16 and CD8. Since sorting of cells expressing Leu-19 and either low quantities of CD8 or CD16 resulted in cytolytic activity in both the positive and negative fractions, these latter two markers do not identify subpopulations of Leu-19+ cells with or without LAK cytolytic activity. Although all LAK cells generated in vivo were Leu-19+, we generated LAK cells from the Leu-19- subpopulation after in vitro culture with rIL-2, suggesting that at least some of in vitro generated LAK cells are derived from Leu-19- precursor cells. These LAK cells did not, however, express the Leu-19 surface marker. Based on the functional data reported in this paper, we conclude that circulating LAK effector cells are a phenotypically heterogeneous population that express surface Ag in association with NK cells and not T lymphocytes.  相似文献

Pretreatment of mice with rabbit anti-asialo GM1 removes both natural killer (NK) effector cells and NK cells responsive to interleukin 2 (IL-2). Spleen cells from these mice do possess normal lymphokine-activated killer (LAK) activity. Young mice (less than 3 weeks of age) do not have NK activity and do not possess IL-2-inducible NK effector cells. Similarly to anti-asialo GM1-treated mice, LAK cells can be generated from these mice. While these experiments indicate clear distinctions between a certain level of NK and LAK precursors, the distinctions are not as clear when analyzing mice congenitally deficient in NK cells. Beige mice which lack NK effector cells and IL-2-inducible NK cells also lack the ability to generate LAK cells. The relationships and differences between NK- and LAK-cell precursors and effectors are discussed.  相似文献

Clinical effects and side effects were studied in the adoptive immunotherapy of patients bearing malignant diseases using human leukocyte antigen (HLA)-mismatched allogeneic lymphokine-activated killer (LAK) cells. Allogeneic LAK cells were induced from peripheral blood lymphocytes (PBL) of normal donors by means of initial stimulation with pokeweed mitogen (PWM). Six of 15 patients applied in the adoptive immunotherapy showed clinical effects such as partial or complete regression of pulmonary metastasis, pleural effusion and primary tumor. All pulmonary metastatic lesions were eliminated in one case by this adoptive immunotherapy combined with chemotherapy. Generally toxic effects were chillness, fever and general fatigue which were reversible, and no allergic side effects occurred even though allogeneic LAK cells were injected frequently except one patient who showed preshock like symptom accompanied with leukocytopenia and continuous hypotension immediately after infusion but was finally rescued. In the patients who received more than 1011 of allogeneic LAK cells, anti-HLA class I antibodies appeared without any evidence of autoantibody. However, immunological side effects were never experienced after injection of allogeneic LAK cells even when the anti-HLA class I antibodies appeared in the patients. Summary We undertook a preliminary study to examine the response rate of recombinant interleukin-2 (rIL-2) in patients with advanced measurable breast cancer, in a phase II clinical trial. The regimen we utilized was designed to allow outpatient administration. A treatment cycle consisted of low-dose cyclophosphamide (350 mg/m2) given on day -3 followed by the bolus administration of rIL-2 (3.6 × 106 Cetus units/m2) on days 1–5, and 8–12. Toxicity was significant but acceptable. One partial remission was seen in 13 evaluable patients. In 2 additional patients clear evidence of an antitumor response was observed. The study was terminated prematurely owing to a shortage of rIL-2. Additional evaluation of rIL-2 in breast cancer appears warranted.  相似文献
