土壤质量变化与更新是农业发展和土壤管理的判断准则.白浆土是三江平原主要水田土壤,但旱田改水田后缺乏对其土壤质量变化规律的研究.本研究以不同种稻年限白浆土为调查对象,探讨其土壤理化性质演变特征.结果表明: 白浆土种稻后,耕层(厚16~23 cm)和犁底层(厚6~8 cm)土壤有机碳、还原物质总量增加,耕层深度随种稻年限增加呈逐渐增加趋势,犁底层无明显变化,心土层(厚20 cm)与旱田无显著差异;土壤中Fe2+和Mn2+有向下迁移现象,但只迁移到犁底层;耕层和犁底层土壤固相比率比种稻前增加,犁底层固相比率由47.8%增加到70.0%,容重由1.22 g·cm-3增加到1.77 g·cm-3,土壤孔隙总量降低,微孔隙比例增加,白浆土种稻后有黏粒淋溶淀积现象.白浆土种稻后,土壤物理和化学性质的变化特征与水稻土的演变规律既有一致性,又有其特殊性.  相似文献

Nicotinan tabacum L. shoot cultures were used as a model to evaluate the effect of bottom cooling and double layer system on plant quality and metabolism. The percentage of hyperhydric shoots produced, decreased 35% when bottom cooling was applied, while non hyperhydric, high quality plants were obtained with a combination of bottom cooling and the double layer system. However, in the latter case, the multiplication rate was completely inhibited due to the presence of charcoal in the liquid medium. Sucrose metabolism (mainly invertase activity) was significantly enhanced by the sucrose supplement present in the liquid medium. Activities of superoxide dismutase and catalase were highest in hyperhydric cultures.  相似文献

Abstract. Within an ombrogenous part of N. Kisselbergmosen, Rødenes, SE Norway, fine‐scale changes in species abundance, successional trends relative to the main gradients (as represented by DCA axes), and co‐ordinated change within pairs of the bottom layer species are studied. Data sets were sampled twice with a five‐year interval, and included species abundance and cover of mud bottom, naked peat and litter in 436 sample plots (16 cm× 16 cm), and species abundance in 6976 subplots (4 cm× 4 cm). Depth from the surface of subplots to the water table was estimated in 1991. Most summers and growing seasons were somewhat drier than normal in the 5‐yr period. The area covered by mud‐bottom, naked peat and litter increased significantly, as did the frequencies of the dwarf shrubs Calluna vulgaris and Andromeda polifolia in hummocks and upper lawn. Sample plots were significantly displaced downward the peat productivity gradient (DCA 2), reflecting the reduced cover of many bottom layer species, including all Sphagnum spp. Significant coordinated changes in cover of bottom layer species are described. The changes observed in hummocks support the existence of a local regeneration cycle, as suggested by other researchers. Some of the vegetation changes seem parallel to those reported from areas with a higher nitrogen deposition, but it is not likely that nitrogen deposition alone is the major cause of the observed changes. Between‐year variation in population size and climatic fluctuations may as well explain the observed changes.  相似文献

Lake Verevi is a hypertrophic and strongly stratified (partly meromictic) small temperate lake. Vertical distribution of sediment phosphorus fractions as well as iron, manganese, organic matter and calcium carbonate of the deep bottom sediment was determined. The study focused on the ecologically important layer of the sediment [<20(45) cm]. In the uppermost layers of the sediment, NaOH-NRP (organic P) dominated while HCl-RP (apatite-P) became dominant in some deeper layers below 7 cm. Extremely high concentrations of labile phosphorus fraction (NH4Cl-RP) indicated the low binding capacity of phosphorus by lake sediment. Due to sediment and hypolimnion anoxia, the internal load of phosphorus in this lake is most likely. Potentially mobile phosphorus fractions (NH4Cl-RP, BD-RP, NaOH-NRP) formed 301 kg in upper 10 cm thick sediment layer of hypolimnetic bottom sediment (40% of lake bottom area).  相似文献

Stand stratification and woody species diversity were studied in a subtropical forest in limestone habitat in the northern part of Okinawa Island, Japan. The forest stand consisted of four architectural layers. Cinnamomum japonicum Sieb. was the most dominant species as it had the highest importance value in all layers, especially in the lower three layers. Although Rhus succedanea L. was a major top-layer species, it might disappear because of its absence in the lower two layers. The lower two layers had similar floristic composition, while the composition of the top layer differed greatly from that of the lower two layers. The value of H′ in each layer increased from the bottom to the second layer and then decreased, and the value of J′ in each layer consistently increased from the bottom layer upward. The values of Shannon’s index H′ and Pielou’s index J′ were 4.27 bit and 0.74, respectively, at the stand level. The trends of H′ and J′ based on the cumulative height range from the top layer downward were, respectively, the same as those in each layer for the present forest in limestone habitat. However, these trends were opposite from those of a nearby subtropical forest in silicate habitat, where the values of H′ and J′ based on the cumulative height range decreased steadily from the bottom layer upward.  相似文献

A wave model and a vertical silt model are developed for shallow lakes and both were applied to Lake Marken in the Netherlands. The results of the wave model serve as input for the silt model. The silt model calculates the suspended silt concentration at several depths at a certain location. The water column is divided in compartments and the suspended silt concentration can be divided into a maximum of seven fractions. It is also possible to divide the top layer of the lake bottom into 25 slices with different time-dependent soil-physical properties.The optimization procedure of the silt model showed the importance of knowledge of the soil-physical properties of the top layer of the bottom. In general, not much is known about this layer and Lake Marken is no exception. The calibrated silt model gave good results for 3 sites in Lake Marken.  相似文献

We have systematically investigated the nutritional requirements for in vitro culture of zygotic proembryos of Brassica juncea. Normal embryo development in vitro was achieved in a new embryo culture medium (ECM) which contains mineral salts, sugars, amino acids, organic acids and coconut water. The culture system is comprised of two agar layers, with the top layer containing a higher osmolality than the bottom layer. Proembryos were embedded in the top layer in which the osmotic pressure decreased gradually during culture because of the diffusion of osmotically active compounds into the bottom layer. Using such a double-layer culture system and the ECM, proembryos as small as 35 μm (8–36 cells) could be cultured and developed into normal, mature embryos with an efficiency of at least 75%. In contrast to previous findings, we found that the removal of the suspensor had only a small effect on the development of embryos 55 μm or smaller, but no effect on larger proembryos. We expect this system to be very useful for investigations of the mechanism of plant embryogenesis.  相似文献

Population dynamics and vertical migration of Daphnia longispina in Lake Yunoko were studied. The Daphnia population was small in spring and early summer, probably because of high predation pressure by fish. The population grew in midsummer, when thermal stratification developed and the dissolved oxygen became very low in the deeper layer of the hypolimnion. In this season, adults of D. longispina concentrated in the daytime near the lake bottom, where fish were absent because of the anoxic conditions, but ascended at night to the upper layer of the hypolimnion, where food was most abundant. The low oxygen layer near the bottom kept out the predators and protected Daphnia from predation, and consequently contributed to the built-up of its population. However, the low oxygen layer was unfavorable for reproduction of Daphnia, as reflected in the low egg ratio and high percentage of males in the population. The population decreased in the fall, when thermal stratification disappeared and predation pressure seemed to increase.  相似文献

In the shallow eutrophic waters of the Darss-Zingst-ecosystem (Baltic Sea) wind induced mixing of the water column, and resuspension of sediment is an important phenomenon. Incubation experiments (7 days) with natural water were performed in the laboratory under simulated mixing conditions in order to assess the effects on abundance, biomass and activity of bacteria, heterotrophic nanoflagellates and ciliates in the water column and upper bottom layers. Under calm mixing conditions a bottom layer developed, rich in organic aggregates. Bacterial biomass increased through increase of bacteria abundance and doubled cell volume. Consequently, biomass of flagellates and, more pronounced, of ciliates increased. The bottom layer, comprising only 15% of the incubated volume, containedca. 60% of the bacterial biomass and ca. 55% of production, 75 and 95% of flagellate biomass, and ca. 70% of ciliate biomass. It is concluded that bottom layers rich in organic aggregates, although not being present permanently, play an important role in the shallow Darss-Zingst-ecosystem.  相似文献

Field soils contain localized zones of larger penetration resistance within peds and compacted layers, while cracks and biopores offer low resistance pathways to roots. Root responses to such localized conditions have not been investigated in detail. This study examined what happens to the root elongation rate when roots grew through a layer of hard soil into a layer of looser soil for a 4 day period. The experiment was performed twice; firstly with the shoot in continuous darkness, and secondly with it exposed to a day-night cycle to prevent etiolation of the shoot. Pea seedlings were grown in columns of a sandy loam soil which was packed to bulk densities of 0.85, 1.1, 1.3 or 1.4 Mg/m3 in the top layer and 0.85 Mg/m3 in the bottom layer. The root elongation rate in the top layer of 1.4 Mg/m3 soil (penetrometer resistance=1.8 MPa) was only 55% of the elongation rate in the top layer of 0.85 Mg/m3 soil (penetrometer resistance=0.06 MPa). The elongation rate of roots that had grown through the top layer of 1.4 Mg/m3 soil into the bottom layer of loose soil was reduced by some residual effect of the mechanical impedance. The root elongation rate in the bottom layer of loose soil decreased as the penetrometer resistance of the top layer of soil increased. The daily elongation rate of the roots in the bottom layer that had grown through the 1.4 Mg/m3 soil averaged only about 65% of the elongation rate of the roots that had grown through the 0.85 Mg/m3 soil. This residual effect of mechanical impedance on root elongation persisted for at least 2 days and was more severe in the day-night cycle experiment than in the dark experiment. These results have important implications for modelling root elongation in any soil in which the soil strength changes with distance or with time.  相似文献

Numbers and species composition of filter-feeding Cladocera and Calanoida occurring in the near-bottom water layer in different seasons of the year and at different depths were compared with their occurrence in the pelagial. Specific species for the near-bottom water layer were not recorded, but numbers of crustaceans were frequently higher in this layer than numbers noted in the pelagial. The food availability may be one of the reasons for the abundance of filter-feeders close to the bottom. Two species:Bosmina longirostris andEudiaptomus graciloides formed aggregations in particular parts of the lake at various seasons: in autumn the highest densities of these species were in the near-bottom layer and closer to the shore, in winter — in close to the bottom in the deepest part of the lake, in spring and summer  相似文献

The effect of high glucose concentrations on the ultrastructure and the production of docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) by Aurantiochytrium mangrovei MP2 was investigated at 25°C with orbital shaking. The cultured cells were separated into a floating and a bottom layer after centrifugation during harvest; therefore, the ultrastructure and DHA level were also analyzed separately. Cell size generally increased with glucose concentrations, whereas the overall DHA production (mg/l) increased 19% when the glucose concentration was raised from 6% to 10% w/v. Biomass and DHA production increased significantly, but not linearly, at the floating layer and decreased at the bottom layer in elevated glucose concentrations. Also, the lipid bodies of the cells in the floating layer were more heavily stained in osmium tetroxide than those in the bottom, suggesting that the cells in the floating layer may contain greater amount of unsaturated fatty acids.  相似文献

Sediment core samples were obtained at a groundwater study site in Oklahoma in January and June 1985. Most-probable-number estimates showed that protozoan numbers declined steeply with depth in subsoil. Flagellates and amoebae dominated the protozoan population, which declined to a most probable number of 28 . g (dry weight) in a clay loam layer at the bottom of the unsaturated zone. Samples from a texturally variable interface zone between 3 and 4 m down also were variable in their content of protozoa. Four contiguous clay loam samples in a single core from this zone contained variable numbers of amoebae ranging from 0.2 to 44 . g (dry weight). However, a sandy clay loam layer at the bottom of the core contained a mixture of flagellates and amoebae with a combined population density of 67 . g (dry weight). A slow-growing filose amoeba was isolated from interface zone samples and was tentatively classified in a new family in the order Aconchulinida. Protozoa were not detected in the saturated zone except in a very permeable gravelly, loamy sand layer at a depth of approximately 7.5 m. Low numbers (4 to 6 . g [dry weight]) of surface-type flagellates and amoebae, as well as the filose amoeba seen in the interface zone, were observed in this layer. Acid-treated and untreated samples contained equivalent numbers of protozoa, showing that the majority of protozoa in the layer at 7.5 m and the interface zone samples were encysted. Increased numbers of bacteria also were found in the layer at 7.5 m, indicating that it was biologically more active than other saturated-zone layers. Cyanobacteria grew in illuminated samples from this layer, suggesting that it may be connected hydrologically to a nearby river.  相似文献

Plant growth, biomass allocation and root distribution were investigated in the submerged macrophyte Vallisneria natans growing in heterogeneous sediments. Experimentally heterogeneous sediment environments were constructed by randomly placing 4 cm of clay or sandy loam into the top (0–4 cm) or bottom (4–8 cm) layer within an experimental tray, providing two homogeneous and two heterogeneous treatments. Biomass accumulation was significantly affected by the experimental treatments: higher in the homogeneous sediment of clay (32 mg per plant) and the two heterogeneous treatments (about 27 mg per plant), but lower in the homogeneous sediment of sandy loam (15 mg per plant). Root: shoot ratio was also different among the four treatments. Compared with the treatments of clay in the top layer, plants allocated more biomass to roots at the treatments of sandy loam in the top layer. Heterogeneous sediments significantly affected root distribution pattern. Compared with the treatments of sandy loam in the bottom layer, root number (7–8 versus 13–14) and total root length (3.6–4.0 cm versus 29.5–40.0 cm) in the bottom layer were significantly higher in the treatments with clay in the bottom layer. These results indicate that both sediment structure and nutrient availability influence growth and root system distribution of V. natans.  相似文献

The microbial mat community in the saltmarsh/evaporate flat interface at Laguna Figueroa involved in the deposition of laminated sediments was investigated. Pigment analysis, light microscopy and transmission electron microscopy were used to determine the relative abundance and distribution of phototrophic species. The community is vertically stratified into four distinct phototrophic populations. The layering could be distinguished by pigment and species composition. The two layers closest to the surface contained mostly oxygenic phototrophs and chlorophyll a as the primary photosynthetic pigment. Anoxic phototrophs predominated in the bottom two layers with bacteriochlorophylls a and c in the third layer and bacteriochlorophyll a and b in the bottom layer. The surface yellow layer was composed primarily of Navicula, Rhopalodia and other diatom species as well as the cyanobacteria Aphanothece sp. and Phormidium sp. Microcoleus chthonoplasces and Chroococcidiopsis sp. were the major cyanobacteria in the green colored second layer. In the third layer, pinkish-purple in color, purple photographs (Chromatium sp., Thiocapsa roseoparsicina) and filamentous green phototrophs (Chloroflexus sp., Oscillochloris sp.) were abundant. The fourth and deepest photosynthetic layer was salmon colored and composed primarily of Thiocapsa pfennigii, and other purple sulfur phototrophs. The pattern of alternating light (oxygenic community) and dark (anoxygenic community) layering preserved in older laminae is a consequence of this community structure. Study of the flat laminated mat over the 10-year period (1978-1988) including and after its destruction by catastrophic flooding events in 1978 and 1980, showed a succession of stratified communities culminating in the return of Microcoleus and the full compliment of layers by the fall of 1984.  相似文献

Vertical and seasonal distributions of flying beetles were investigated in asuburban temperate deciduous forest in Kanazawa, Japan using water pan traps to determine the abundance and composition among vertical strata, change in the abundance and composition through seasons and determinant factors in generating the distributions. Traps were placed at three levels (0.5 m, 10 m, and 20 m above ground) on a tower. Samplings were carried out seasonally from May to November in 1999 and 2000. Variations in the abundance of flying beetles were observed from different layers. The results showed that the abundance and composition of flying beetles varied among strata and seasons. In both 1999 and 2000,Elateridae was consistently most abundant in the bottom layer, while Attelabidae and Cantharidae were most abundant in the upper layer. In 1999, Eucnemidae and overall scavengers were most abundance in the bottom layer, but results were not consistent with those in 2000. In general, the abundance of herbivores reaches a peak in the early season(May/June) and decreases in the following months. Peaks of abundance in predators vary vertically. In the bottom layer a peak was observed in the early season (May/June), while in the upper layer this was observed in July. Scavengers had two peaks, in May/June and September. These patterns indicated that vertical distributions in the abundance of differentfeeding guilds varied through seasons.  相似文献

Mechanisms controlling epithelial proliferation and differentiation in the prostate have been primarily investigated in mouse models. The regulation of proliferation and differentiation is poorly understood in human prostate epithelial cells. In vivo, the glandular prostate epithelium consists of a p63-positive proliferating basal cell layer and a post-mitotic p27-positive secretory cell layer. We have established an organized stratified culture system of human primary prostate epithelial cells to gain insight into mechanisms regulating proliferation and differentiation. In this system, expression of p63 is observed in the bottom layer. In addition, BrdU incorporation persists even though cells are confluent. In contrast, in the upper layer, p63 expression is greatly diminished, p27 is expressed, and the cells are growth arrested. Overexpression of cyclin D1 or knockdown of p27 does not increase proliferation. After inactivation of the nuclear phosphoprotein Rb, the cell layers remain organized and cell proliferation increases only in the bottom layer. Furthermore, the expression of p63 remains confined to the bottom layer after Rb inactivation. Altogether, this in vitro model recapitulates certain aspects of in vivo growth regulation and differentiation and suggests that the loss of Rb family proteins in human cells trigger hyperplasia but is not sufficient for transformation.This work was supported by the Departments of Pathology and Urology at Weill Medial College, by grants DAMD-17-02-1-0159, MEDC-GR-355, and P30 CA015704-30, and by grant RO1CA84069 to B.E.C.  相似文献

Bahía Concepción (Gulf of California) was studied to describe some extremely low dissolved-oxygen values at the bottom of the bay. Surveys included measurements of vertical distribution of temperature, dissolved oxygen, nitrate, nitrite, phosphates and hydrogen sulfide. Thermal stratification from early spring to autumn and a well-mixed water column during the winter were present. Dissolved-oxygen concentration was homogeneous in the water column from winter to spring (5-7 mg L-1). From summer to autumn, bottom dissolved oxygen (> 20 m) decreased to reach conditions of hypoxia (1-2 mg L-1) or anoxia; nitrate, nitrite, and phosphates increased (up to 13, 1.7 and 2.2 microM) followed by a last short period of a deep hydrogen sulfide layer (up to 3.1 mg L-1). A back calculation to estimate the input of organic matter in the deep layer showed that 18 g C m-2 y-1 needed to be trapped in the bottom to induce such an oxygen depletion. This period is thought to be unfavorable for bottom infauna in this bay.  相似文献
