Revision of the genus Phloeoditica Schedl - with description of two new genera and two new species in Phloeosinini (Coleoptera, Curculionidae, Scolytinae)

The genus Phloeoditica Schedl currently includes four species from Southeast Asia. These species vary substantially in important morphological characters and indicate the existence of multiple genera for these species. A revision based on morphological and in part molecular data resulted in the transfer of Phloeoditica setosa to Pseudoxylechinus the erection of a new genus Asiophilus for Phloeoditica phloeosinoides and a new species Asiophilus macropunctatus from Vietnam. Another new genus with affinities to Phloeoditica is described based on the new species Microditica uniseriata from Thailand. The new genera are included in a revised key to the tribe Phloeosinini.     

Five new species of Triotemnus (Coleoptera, Curculionidae, Scolytinae) from Morocco and Yemen

Fivenew species of the genus Triotemnus from Morocco and Yemen are described. Triotemnus is a new genus of Scolytinae for the Yemen region. External morphology of the new species and all morphologically related species of the genus were studied. While the new species from Morocco are morphologically similar to the known species from the corresponding region, all three newly described species from Yemen, mainly two of them living in Socotra, are morphologically very different from all other known species of the genus. Geographical distribution and the probability of endemicity are discussed.     

A new species of Kanahia (Asclepidiaceae) with a reconsideration of the genus

A new species, K. carlsbergiana , is described in what is currently considered a monotypic genus. The new species is only known from permanent streams in the Arssi and Bale regions of S Ethiopia. The delimitation and position of the genus is reconsidered in light of the additional information provided by the new species. The distinctiveness of the genus is reconfirmed whilst no new clues to possible relationships with other genera were observed. The taxonomy of the other species, K. laniflora (Forssk.) R. Br., is also briefly reconsidered.     

连褶金小蜂属分类研究（膜翅目：小蜂总科：金小蜂科）

本文研究了我国金小蜂科的一新纪录属,连褶金小蜂属Ｌｙｕｂａｎａ Ｂｏｕｃｅｋ,描述了３个新种：廖氏连褶金小蜂Ｌ．ｌｉａｏｉ ｓｐ．ｎｏｖ．、长腹连褶金小蜂Ｌ．ｌｏｎｇａ ｓｐ．ｎｏｖ．和长节连褶金小蜂Ｌ．ｐｒｏｌｏｎｇａｔａ ｓｐ．ｎｏｖ．。模式标本存于中国科学院动物研究所动物标本馆。     

中国鳞姚属一新种及一新纪录种记述(弹尾目,鳞(虫兆)科)

记述弹尾目Collembola鳞姚科Tomoceridae鳞姚属Tomocerus 1新种,即斑点鳞姚Tomocerus (Tomocerus) maculatus sp.nov.和1新纪录种,即巴地鳞Tomocerus (Tomocerus) asoka Yosii et Ashraf,1965.新种模式标本保存于中国科学院动物研究所.     

Rhodosporidium diobovatum sp. n., the Perfect Form of an Asporogenous Yeast (Rhodotorula sp.)

New direct evidence of the relationship between the yeast form genus Rhodotorula and heterobasidiomycetous fungi is presented, namely, a new species of the heterobasidiomycetous genus Rhodosporidium with a rhodotoruloid yeast phase. The new species has the Rhodosporidium life cycle but differs significantly from, and is not interfertile with, described species of the genus. It was isolated from marine and estuarine waters of south Florida. The nature of the relationship between the Rhodosporidium species and fungi of the order Ustilaginales is discussed.     

短尾蜉属 (蜉蝣目 :细蜉科 )在中国的首次发现及一新种记述(英文)

本文报道短尾蜉属BrachycercusCrutis (1834)在中国的首次发现 ,并对该属一新种小铗短尾蜉Brachycercusparviforcipissp .nov .的形态特征作了详细描述 ,模式标本采自云南省昆明市松花坝水库。正模 :♂成虫 ,副模 :3♂成虫 ,采集时间 :VI 2 1996 ,采集人 :周长发和王备新 ,保存在南京师范大学生物系。综合利用小铗短尾蜉雄成虫的下列特征 ,可将它与同属已知的 19种区别开来 :1)触角色浅单一 ,梗节长度是柄节的三倍以上 ;2 )胸部背板棕色 ,前足腿节基部黑色 ,第一、第二、第九、第十节的腹部背板全部及其它每节背板的后缘为棕黑色 ,其他部分为淡黄色 ;3)与同属其它种相比 ,小铗短尾蜉的尾铗短小 ,不超过阳茎长度。     

THE FIRST RECORD OF THE GENUS BRACHYCERCUS IN CHINA WITH DESCRIPTION OF A NEW SPECIES (EPHEMEROPTERA: CAENIDAE)

Abstract  A new record genus from China, Brachycercus Crutis (1834), is reported and the male adult of a new species Brachyercus parviforcipis sp. nov. is described in detail. The characters of this species distinguished from the other species in the same genus are discussed.     

中国波翅青尺蛾属分类研究(鳞翅目:尺蛾科:尺蛾亚科)

波翅青尺蛾属Thalera世界共记录6种和5亚种。中国已知3种和3亚种,本文记述5种和3亚种,其中包括采自四川巴塘1新种淡波翅青尺蛾Thalera simpliria sp.nov.和1新纪录种。文中给出了中国波翅青尺蛾属分种检索表和新种的成虫及外生殖器图。淡波翅青尺蛾,新种Thalera simpliria sp.nov.(图2,3,6,7）新种与Th.lacerataria Graeser,1889相似,但有以下不同：新种前翅外缘在M1与M3之间的缺刻极浅;前后翅外线较圆滑：♂外生殖器抱器瓣基部的三角形骨化片细尖,囊形突较细,钩形突较短粗;♀外生殖器后阴片有一方形弱骨化区域。     

A review of the Banchus-group of ichneumon-flies, with a revision of the Australian genus Philogalleria (Hymenoptera: Ichneumonidae)

ABSTRACT. The composition and relationships of the Banchus genus-group are discussed. A key to the genera is provided and for each genus a diagnosis and notes are given. A new genus and species are described. The genus Philogalleria Cameron is revised: six species (five of them new) are recognized, described and keyed. Rhynchobanchus is newly recorded from Britain and a key is given to its European species.     

Stenophylla lobivertex,a new species of Stenophyllinae from Amazonia (Insecta,Mantodea)

Stenophylla lobivertex, a new species of Stenophyllinae from Ecuador and Peru, where this genus has never been found before, is described. This new species differs from Stenophylla cornigera Westwood, the only species known for this genus, by the remarkable size of the median process of the vertex and by the shape of the male genitalia. The systematic position and some biogeographical remarks about the genus are made.     

A new species report of Caroperla Kohno, 1946 (Plecoptera: Perlidae) from China

A brief taxonomic synopsis of the genus Caroperla Kohno, 1946 is presented and its further generic delimitation is defined along with a new species, C. siveci sp. n. from the Wuyishan Mountain of Fujian, China. It represents the first report of the genus from China and the third species of the genus. The morphological comparison of the new species with the two other known species is given.     

中国颚毛虫兆属一新种（弹尾纲：疣虫兆科）

对颚毛虫兆属Crossodonthina Yosii, 1954做了简要介绍,提供了该属的鉴别特征,记述了采自中国湖南省东安县舜皇山的颚毛虫兆属1新种——周氏颚毛疣虫兆Crossodonthina choui,这是该属在华中地区(湖南)的新记录。新种的正模标本(♂)和2个副模标本(2♂)保存在中南林业科技大学生命科学与技术学院昆虫标本室。     

A new species of Afrolernaea (Copepoda: Lernaeidae) parasitic on mormyrid fishes in Gabon and a discussion of its affinities

A new lernaeid copepod of the genus Afrolernaea parasitic on mormyrid fishes from Gabon is described. A fin parasite, this species has been found only on the inner face of the pectoral fins. The new species is the most primitive member of the genus yet discovered and the structure of its appendages throws light on the nature of the anchoring hooks of the more advanced species, and on the probable course of evolution within the genus. The suggested affinities of the species of the genus are indicated in a dendrogram.     

The genus Arhaconotus Belokobylskij (Hymenoptera, Braconidae, Doryctinae) from China, with description of a new species

The genus Arhaconotus Belokobylskij (Hymenoptera: Braconidae, Doryctinae) is recorded for the first time from China. A new species of this genus, Arhaconotus hainanensis Tang & Chen, sp. n., is described and illustrated. A key to the species of this genus is updated to include the new species.
