Taxonomic status of five species of Grimmia Hedw. (G. minuta Müll.Hal., G. suborthotrichacea Müll.Hal., G. defoliata Müll.Hal., G. genuflexa Müll.Hal., and G. orthotrichacea Müll.Hal.) is appraised. All these species correctly belong within the genus Bucklandiella Roiv. They are actually inseparable from one another and represent a single species for which B. orthotrichacea (Müll.Hal.) Bednarek-Ochyra & Ochyra is chosen as the final name. The remaining four names are considered its synonyms, all but G. genuflexa being new. All the names are lectotypified and some details of the leaves of G. minuta and G. defoliata are illustrated.  相似文献

Abstract

This contribution is a result of collaborative work based on the fieldwork organized during a workshop of the Tropical Bryology Group on Mascarene bryophytes in September 2008, and also from previous unpublished records of the authors. We add 35 new taxon records (17 mosses and 18 liverworts) as well as five other interesting records for Réunion Island (Mascarene Archipelago). Grimmia austrofunalis Müll. Hal., Sphagnum magellanicum Brid. subsp. magellanicum, Didymodon tectorum (Müll. Hal.) K. Saito, Anastrophyllum revolutum Steph. and Lejeunea exilis (Reinw. et al.) Grolle are reported for the first time for Africa. Syrrhopodon vardei L. T. Ellis, Ceratolejeunea papuliflora Steph. and Xylolejeunea grolleana (Pócs) X.-L. He & Grolle, previously known as endemic from Madagascar, are here recorded for Réunion. The latter species is also illustrated with SEM pictures.  相似文献

Abstract

Eight epithets of Rigodium (R. araucarieti C. Müll., R. argentinicum C. Müll., R. brachypodium (C. Müll.) Par., R. nano-fasciculatum C. Müll. ex Thér., R. pendulum Herz. &; Thér., R. pseudo-thuidium Dus., R. solutum (Tayl.) Par., and R. tamarix C. Müll), lectotypified here, are listed with their nomenclature and pertinent details involving the careful identification of type specimens and original material. For Rigodium solutum (Tayl.) Par., a specimen from Taylor's original herbarium may likely be the holotype but had not been indicated as such by Taylor, the original author. A conservative approach for this situation is taken here by designating this specimen as a lectotype.  相似文献

Abstract

The relationships within the Bryaceae, with emphasis on the genus Bryum, were studied based on morphological and anatomical characters and using cladistic methods. The analysis was performed with thirty-six species representing the different parts of the family, and with Funaria hygrometrica Hedw., Mnium hornum (Dicks.) Lindb., and Tayloria lingulata Hedw. as outgroups. The Bryaceae, and the subfamilies Bryoideae, Mielichhoferioideae, and Pohlioideae, as defined by several earlier authors appear to be paraphyletic. The genus Bryum seems to be paraphyletic, because Leptobryum pyriforme (Hedw.) Wils., Osculatia columbica De Not., and Rhodobryum giganteum (Schwaegr.) Paris, appear as ingroups within this genus when the tree is rooted with Funaria. Mnium hornum came out as the sister taxon of a clade including Pohlia cruda (Hedw.) Lindb. and P. longicollis (Hedw.) Lindb., whereas P. drummondii (Müll. Hall.) A.L. Andrews, appears not to be closely related to the other two Pohlia species studied here, making this genus paraphyletic. Mielichhoferia mielichhoferiana (Funck.) Loeske, appears as the sister taxon of Schizymenium bryoides Harv., suggesting that both these genera are paraphyletic. Overall, the stabilities of the clades are low and it is suggested that combined analyses of morphological, anatomical, and molecular data are needed to get better resolved and more stable trees.  相似文献

Chromosome numbers of several hepatic species collected in Poland are published. Polymorphism in chromosome numbers was discovered in Jungermannia leiantha Grolle: most Polish populations showed n = 9 and only two n = 18; chromosome number n = 9 in Jungermannia subulata was confirmed. For Lophozia hyperborea Schust. & Dams. (n = 9) and for Lophozia kunzeana (Hüb.) Evans (n = 1*) the chromosome numbers are published for the first time.  相似文献

The pantropical genus Psychotria L., probably the largest among angiosperms, occurs in different Brazilian vegetal formations. This work determined the chromosome numbers and karyotypic characteristics of ten species of Brazilian Psychotria. The chromosome numbers ranged from 2n = 22, in five species (P. hoffmannseggiana (Willd. ex Roem. & Schult.) Müll. Arg., P. lupulina Benth., P. marginata Sw., P. tenerior (Cham.) Müll. Arg., and P. trichophora Müll. Arg.), to 2n = 40, in P. mapourioides DC., and 2n = 44 in four other species (P. carthagenensis Jacq., P. gracilenta Müll. Arg., P. longipes Müll. Arg. and P. suterella Müll. Arg.). In addition to these differences, great variations in chromosome lengths and karyotypic formulae were also observed among these species. Chromosome length varied from 5.59 μm to 0.90 μm and no relationship was detected between chromosome numbers and lengths in any species. Chromosomes are principally metacentric, except for P. mapourioides that presents mainly submetacentric chromosomes. Karyotypic asymmetry rate (TF%) ranged from moderate (TF% = 38.83) to highly symmetric (TF% = 50.00). The difference in chromosome numbers of Psychotria carthagenensis (2n = 44) and P. mapourioides (2n = 40) is very important to taxonomists, because these have great difficulty in identifying and differentiating these two species with the sole use of morphological characteristics, since some individuals have intermediate characteristics between both species. Although this study does not allow for a consistent cytotaxonomic analysis, not even to delimit P. subgen. Psychotria and P. subgen. Heteropsychotria, this karyotype analysis of some Brazilian species, along with their morphology, may contribute to a better knowledge of the genus.  相似文献

Abstract

A collection of epiphyllous bryophytes from Bioko Island was investigated. It contained 57 epiphyllous bryophytes, comprising 55 hepatics and two mosses. Three taxa, Cololejeunea eustacei Pócs, Colura calderae Pócs and Lejeunea halei Robinson subsp. africana Pócs, are new to science. Cololejeunea papilliloba Steph. is new to Africa, five species of hepatics are new to West Africa, and an additional 31 species of hepatics are newly reported from Bioko Island. The second part of the paper deals with records of non-epiphyllous collections. Fourteen species are reported for the first time for Bioko Island. Actinodontium dusenii Broth. is made a synonym of Actinodontium streptopogoneum Broth. The following new combination is proposed: Wijkia rigidicaule (Müll.Hal. ex Broth.) Frank Müll., comb. nov. (Basionym: Acanthocladium rigidicaule Müll.Hal. ex Broth.).  相似文献

Here 13 species of the nonfoliicolous species of the lichen familyEctolechiaceae Zahlbr. em.Haf. are reported, which were found in a collection from Brazil. Six species are described as new:Badimia corticola (sp.n.),Calopadia isidiosa (sp.n.),C. psoromoides (sp.n.),C. subfusca (sp.n.),Tapellaria corticola (sp.n.), andT. schindleri (sp.n.). Seven species have been identified with earlier described species:Calopadia chacoënsis (Malme) comb. n. (=Lopadium chacoënse Malme),C. foliicola (Fée) Vězda,C. fusca (Müll. Arg.) Vězda,C. lecanorella (Nyl.) comb. n.,C. perpallida (Nyl.) Věda,C. phyllogena (Müll. Arg.) Vězda, andTapellaria epiphylla (Müll. Arg.) Sant. A key and illustrations for all studied species are provided, and the nomenclatural problem of the correct generic name of thePyrenotrichum Mont. (anamorph) forCalopadia Vězda orTapellaria Sant. (teleomorphs) are discussed.  相似文献

Abstract

(71) Cephalozia lunulifolia (Dum. 1831) Dum. 1835—lectotype (nov.): Mougeot & Nestler 432/e, c. per., BR—has to replace C. media Lindb. 1881. (72) Kymatocalyx stoloniferus Herz. 1950, syn.nov.: Solenostoma apertum Schiffn. & S. Arn. 1964. Because of the structure of its seta Kymatocalyx Herz. is newly placed within Cephaloziellaceae. (73) Lophozia capitata (Hook.) Boulay 1904 has to replace L. capitata (Hook.) K. Müll. 1950. (74) All Scandinavian records of Lophozia latifolia Schust. are rejected. (75) Notoscyphus macroscyphus Schiffn., N. fluviorum Schiffn. and N. paulensis Schiffn., all in Schiffner & S. Arnell (1964), are newly placed in synonymy of Lophocolea aquatica Herz. 1950. Notoscyphus Mitt s.str. remains palaeotropic in distribution. (76) Plagiochila corniculata (Dum.) Dum. validly dating as a species from 1831 has to replace P. tridenticulata Dum. validly dating as a species from 1835. (77) P. Punctata Tayl. 1846, syn.nov.: P. pitardii Steph. 1921.(78) P. spinulosa (Dicks. 1790) Dum., syn.nov.: P. maderensis Gottsche in Steph. 1904, and P. castellonis Gottsche in Steph. 1918. (79) Critical notes on Plagiochila sect. Plagiochila in Europe. List of names to be considered, with their types. Lectotype (nov.) of Jungermannia asplenioides L.: specimen in OXF corresponding with Dillenius. Hist. Musc. 482, tab. 69, fig. 5, Oxford, 1747. The large European taxon of section Plagiochila has to bear the name P. aspleniodes (L. emend. Tayl.) Dum. (= P. major (Nees) S. Arn., nomillegit.). The smaller plants of section Plagiochila in Europe perhaps are heterogeneous and may be called provisionally P. porelloides (Torrey ex Nees) Lindenb. s.amplo (= P. asplenioides sensu S. Arn., non (L.) Dum.). (80) Attention is called to four old Porella combinations by Pfeiffer (1855).  相似文献

Abstract

Trichostomum schlimii Müll.Hal., a neglected Colombian taxon, is transferred to the genus Pseudosymblepharis Broth. as Pseudosymblepharis schlimii (Müll.Hal.) comb. nov. The species, known only from the type locality in Santa Marta, Colombia, is newly reported for the moss floras of Bolivia, Brazil, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Guiana, Peru, and Venezuela. It is described, lectotypified, illustrated, and mapped. Diagnostic characters, and distinction from one closely related American species within the genus are discussed. Trichostomum mollissimum (Broth. ex E.B.Bartram) H.A.Crum and Pseudosymblepharis guatemalensis (E.B.Bartram) B.H.Allen are reduced to the synonymy of Pseudosymblepharis schlimii.  相似文献

Abstract

141. Anomacaulis fiaccidus (Steph. 1917) Grolle c. n. has to replace A. hamatilobus (Grolle 1965) Schust. 142. Colura leratii (Steph. 1908) Steph. Has to replace C. apiculata Schiffn. ex Steph. 1916. 143. Herbertus sendtneri (Nees) Lindb. 1874 has to replace H. sendtneri (Nees) Evans 1917. 144. The redetected type of Herbertus stramineus (Dum.) Trev. in BR wholly justifies the recent usage of that name instead of H. aduncus auct. 145. The large styli of Jovetastella Tixier were misinterpreted as amphigastria. Jovetastella is reduced to subgeneric rank within Cololejeunea (Spruce) Schiffn., necessitating C. subg. Jovetastella (Tixier) Grolle n. st. et c. and C. paniensis (Tixier) Grolle c. n. 146. Lichenastrum Dill. 1811 is lectotypified with Jungermannia Ianceolata L. emend. Grolle, thus becoming a synonym of Jungermannia L. s. str. 147.Lophozia elongata Steph. has to replace L. elongata (Lindb. ex Kaal.) Steph. 148. Mannia triandra (Scop. 1772) Grolle c. n. has to replace M. rupestris (Nees 1817)Frye et Clark. A redetected type specimen of M archantia ludwigii Schwaegr. 1814 turned out to be Mannia triandra. Therefore Asterella gracilis (F. Web.) Underw. has to replace A. ludwigii auct. 149. Grimaldia chilensis Lindenb. ex Mont. 1839 was newly placed in synonymy of Sauteria berteroana Mont. 1839. 150. Telaranea nematodes (Gottsche ex Aust. 1879) Howe has to replace T. sejuncta auct., whereas the true T. sejuncta (Angstr. 1877) S. Arn. is a synonym of Arachniopsis diacantha (Mont. 1856) Howe. T. sejuncta yare breviseta (Herz.) Fulf. is still another species, thus the single record of T. nematodes or T. sejuncta from Juan Fernandez is rejected.  相似文献
