Solid‐state synthesis and luminescent properties of yellow‐emitting phosphor NaY(MoO4)2:Dy3+ for white light‐emitting diodes 下载免费PDF全文
A yellow‐emitting phosphor NaY(MoO4)2:Dy3+ was synthesized using a solid‐state reaction at 550 °C for 4 h, and its luminescent properties were investigated. Its phase formation was studied using X‐ray powder diffraction analysis, and there were no crystalline phases other than NaY(MoO4)2. NaY(MoO4)2:Dy3+ produced yellow emission under 386 or 453 nm excitation, and the prominent luminescence was yellow (575 nm) due to the 4 F9/2→6H13/2 transition of Dy3+. For the 575 nm emission, the excitation spectrum had one broad band and some narrow peaks; the peaks were located at 290, 351, 365, 386, 426, 453 and 474 nm. Emission intensities were influenced by the Dy3+ doping content and a concentration quenching effect was observed; the phenomenon was also proved by the decay curves. Moreover, the Commission International de I'Eclairage chromaticity coordinates of NaY(MoO4)2:Dy3+ showed similar values at different Dy3+ concentrations, and were located in the yellow region. M5(PO4)3 F:Eu2+ (M = Ca and Ba) co‐doped with Ce3+ phosphors were successfully prepared by the combustion synthesis method. The introduction of co‐dopant (Ce3+) into the host enhanced the luminescent intensity of the M5(PO4)3 F:Eu2+ (M = Ca and Ba) efficiently. Previously, we have reported the synthesis and photoluminescence properties of same phosphors. The aim of this article is to report energy transfer mechanism between Ce3+?Eu2+ ions in M5(PO4)3 F:Eu2+ (M = Ca and Ba) phosphors, where Ce3+ ions act as sensitizers and Eu2+ ions act as activators. The M5(PO4)3 F:Eu2+ (M = Ca and Ba) co‐doped with Ce3+ phosphor exhibits great potential for use in white ultraviolet (UV) light‐emitting diode applications to serve as a single‐phased phosphor that can be pumped with near‐UV or UV light‐emitting diodes. Photoluminescence, cathodoluminescence and thermal stability of Sm3+‐activated Sr3La(VO4)3 red‐emitting phosphors 下载免费PDF全文
A series of Sm3+‐activated Sr3La(VO4)3 phosphors were synthesized by a facile sol‐gel method. X‐ray diffraction patterns and photoluminescence (PL)/cathodoluminescence (CL) spectra as well as PL decay curves were employed to characterize the obtained samples. Upon 402 nm light excitation, the characteristic emissions of Sm3+ ions corresponding to 4G5/2→6HJ transitions were observed in all the as‐prepared products. The PL emission intensity was increased with increase in Sm3+ ion concentration, while concentration quenching occurred when the doping concentration was over 4 mol%. The non‐radiative energy transfer mechanism for concentration quenching of Sm3+ ions was dominated by dipole–dipole interaction and the critical distance was around 21.59 Å. Furthermore, temperature‐dependent PL emission spectra revealed that the obtained phosphors possessed good thermal stability with an activation energy of 0.19 eV. In addition, the CL spectra of the samples were almost the same as the PL spectra, and the CL emission intensity showed a tendency to increase with increase in accelerating voltage and filament current. These results suggest that the Sm3+‐activated Sr3La(VO4)3 phosphors with good color coordinates, high color purity and superior thermal stability may be a potential candidate for applications in white light‐emitting diodes and field‐emission displays as red‐emitting phosphors. 相似文献

Synthesis and photoluminescence characteristics of Sm3+‐doped Bi4Si3O12 red‐emitting phosphor 下载免费PDF全文
A series of novel red‐emitting Sm3+‐doped bismuth silicate phosphors, Bi4Si3O12:xSm3+ (0.01 ≤ x ≤ 0.06), were prepared via the sol–gel route. The phase of the synthesized samples calcinated at 800 °C is isostructural with Bi4Si3O12 according to X‐ray diffraction results. Under excitation with 405 nm light, some typical peaks of Sm3+ ions centered at 566, 609, 655 and 715 nm are found in the emission spectra of the Sm3+‐doped Bi4Si3O12 phosphors. The strongest peak located at 609 nm is due to 4G5/2–6H7/2 transition of Sm3+. The luminescence intensity reaches its maximum value when the Sm3+ ion content is 4 mol%. The results suggest that Bi4Si3O12:Sm3+ may be a potential red phosphor for white light‐emitting diodes. Copyright © 2016 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd. 相似文献

A series of Eu3+‐activated NaLi2PO4 novel phosphors was synthesized by the solid‐state reaction method. The X‐ray diffraction (XRD) and photoluminescence (PL) properties of these phosphors were investigated at room temperature. The excitation spectra indicate that these phosphors can be effectively excited by near‐UV (370–410 nm) light. The emission spectra exhibit strong reddish‐orange performance, which is due to the 5D0 → 7FJ transitions of Eu3+ ions. The orange emission from transition 5D0 → 7F1 is dominant over that of 5D0 → 7F2. The concentration quenching of Eu3+ was observed in NaLi2PO4:Eu3+ when the Eu concentration was at 1 mol%. The impact of doping Eu3+ and photoluminescence properties were investigated and we propose a feasible interpretation. Copyright © 2012 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd. 相似文献

In this article Ca1‐xTiO3:xEu3+ single crystalline particles with a cubic morphology and average size of 248 to 815 nm were synthesized by a solvothermal method. The structural and optical properties of the Ca1‐xTiO3:xEu3+ cubes were investigated, the formation mechanism of the cubes were analyzed and discussed, and the influence of Eu doping content and cubic size on the photoluminescence were examined. The differences in the photoluminescence between Ca1‐xTiO3:xEu3+ cubic crystals and nanoparticles was analyzed. It was found that an addition of a small amount of water can substantially reduce the size of the cubes. An obvious red emission band centered at 615 nm was observed under the excitation at 395 nm for the cubes. Our results demonstrate CaTiO3 cubes are good host materials for designing red phosphors. 相似文献

Almost monodisperse three‐dimensional (3D) BaMoO4, BaMoO4:Eu3+ micron‐octahedrons and micron‐flowers were successfully prepared via a large‐scale and facile sonochemical route without using any catalysts or templates. X‐Ray diffraction (XRD), field emission scanning electron microscopy (FE‐SEM), energy dispersion X‐ray (EDS), Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) and photoluminescence (PL) spectroscopy were employed to characterize the as‐obtained products. It was found that size modulation could be easily realized by changing the concentrations of reactants and the pH value of precursors. The formation mechanism for micron‐octahedrons and micron‐flowers was proposed on the basis of time‐dependent experiments. Using excitation wavelengths of 396 or 466 nm for BaMoO4:Eu3+ phosphors, an intense emission line at 614 nm was observed. These phosphors might be promising components with possible application in the fields of near UV‐ and blue‐excited white light‐emitting diodes. Simultaneously, this novel and efficient pathway could open new opportunities for further investigating the properties of molybdate materials. Copyright © 2014 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd. 相似文献

Luminescent properties of sol–gel processed red‐emitting phosphor Ca0.6Sr0.4–1.5x‐0.5yMo0.4 W0.6O4:EuxLiy 下载免费PDF全文
A series of red‐emitting phosphors Ca0.6Sr0.4–1.5x‐0.5yMo0.4 W0.6O4:EuxLiy (x = 0.02–0.12, y = 0–0.12) has been synthesized by a sol‐gel method. The effects of calcining temperature, concentrations of Li+ and Eu3+, and compensation ions on the luminescent properties were investigated. X‐ray diffraction and scanning electron microscopic results showed that as‐prepared phosphors were of single phase with several microns. The Li+ compensated compositions showed remarkably intense red emission at 619 nm. The emission intensity of the series reached maximum for compositions at x = 0.08 and y = 0.08 when the calcining temperature was 900 °C. Copyright © 2014 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd. 相似文献

Red emission intensity was optimized in three stages, by investigating the effects of: (i) host composition (Gd, Y and Gd/Y), (ii) codoping Li+ as a sensitizer and, finally, (iii) with a SiO2 shell coating as a protecting layer. Lanthanide vanadate powder phosphors were synthesized using a modified colloidal precipitation technique. The effects of SiO2 coating on phosphor particles were characterized using scanning electron microscopy (SEM)‐EDAX, transmission electron microscopy (TEM), Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) and photoluminescence (PL) measurements. An improvement in the PL intensity on Li codoping was due to improved crystallinity, which led to higher oscillating strengths for the optical transitions, and also a lowering of the inversion symmetry of Eu3+ ions. Red emission intensity due to 5D0 → 5D2 transition of the phosphor Y0.94VO4:Eu3+0.05,Li+0.01 was enhanced by 22.28% compared with Y0.95VO4:Eu3+0.05, and was further improved by 58.73% with SiO2 coating. The luminescence intensity (I) and colour coordinates (x, y) of the optimized phosphor Y0.94VO4:Eu3+0.05,Li+0.01@SiO2, where I = 13.07 cd/m2 and (x = 0.6721, y = 0.3240), were compared with values for a commercial red phosphor (Y2O2S:Eu3+), where I = 27 cd/m2 and (x = 0.6522, y = 0.3437). The measured colour coordinates are superior to those of the commercial red phosphor, and moreover, match well with standard NTSC values (x = 0.67, y = 0.33). This work reports the photoluminescence properties of Ca3Mg3(PO4)4:Sm3+ phosphors that were synthesized by the combustion method. The phase formation and morphology of the prepared phosphors were analysed by X‐ray diffraction studies and scanning electron microscopy. Ca3Mg3(PO4)4:Sm3+ phosphors give orange light emission when excited by near‐ultraviolet (NUV) and blue light. The photoluminescence characteristics of the as‐prepared phosphors were investigated and their emission spectra showed three peaks due to 4G5/2 → 6H5/2, 4G5/2 → 6H7/2 and 4G5/2 → 6H9/2 transitions. The mechanism responsible for the concentration quenching of luminescence was found to be an electric dipole–dipole interaction. The CIE chromaticity coordinates suggested that the prepared phosphors are potential candidates for orange light‐emitting diodes (LEDs). 相似文献

Sol–gel preparation and luminescent properties of red‐emitting phosphor Sr‐Ba‐Mo‐W‐O‐(Eu3+,Sm3+) 下载免费PDF全文
Two series of red‐emitting phosphors Sr‐Ba‐Mo‐W‐O:Eu,Sm and Sr‐Ba‐Mo‐W‐O:Eu have been synthesized by a sol–gel method. The effects of the chemical composition, concentrations of Sm3+ and Eu3+, the Sr2+/Ba2+ ratio, and the W6+/Mo6+ ratio on the luminescent properties were investigated. The as‐prepared phosphors were characterized by X‐ray diffraction and Raman spectra. Results showed that single phases of the two series were prepared. The compositions of Sr0.6Ba0.13Mo0.8 W0.2O4:Eu0.10Sm0.08 and Sr0.75Ba0.1Mo0.8 W0.2O4:Eu0.10 had the strongest luminescent intensity. The excitation spectra of Sm3+, Eu3+ co‐doped phosphors were broader and the strongest peak moved to 404 nm when compared with that of Eu3+ single‐doped phosphors. The luminescent intensity of the Sr0.6Ba0.13Mo0.8 W0.2O4:Eu0.10Sm0.08 at 618 nm were 2.8 times greater than that of Sr0.75Ba0.1Mo0.8 W0.2O4:Eu0.10. The luminescent intensity of Sr0.6Ba0.13Mo0.8 W0.2O4:Eu0.10Sm0.08 and Sr0.75Ba0.1Mo0.8 W0.2O4:Eu0.10 at 150 °C decreased to 56.8% and 50.3% of the initial value at room temperature, respectively. An orange‐emitting phosphor, Eu2+‐activated LiSr4(BO3)3, was synthesized using the conventional solid‐state reaction. The photoluminescence excitation and emission spectra, and temperature dependence of the luminescence intensity of the phosphor were investigated. The results showed that LiSr4(BO3)3:Eu2+ could be efficiently excited by incident light of 250–450 nm, and emits a strong orange light. With increasing temperature, the emission bands of LiSr4(BO3)3:Eu2+ show an abnormal blue‐shift with broadening bandwidth and decreasing emission intensity. Luminescence enhancement of (Sr1–xMx)2SiO4:Eu2+ phosphors with M (Ca2+/Zn2+) partial substitution for white light‐emitting diodes 下载免费PDF全文
Eu2+‐doped Sr2SiO4 phosphor with Ca2+/Zn2+ substitution, (Sr1–xMx)2SiO4:Eu2+ (M = Ca, Zn), was prepared using a high‐temperature solid‐state reaction method. The structure and luminescence properties of Ca2+/Zn2+ partially substituted Sr2SiO4:Eu2+ phosphors were investigated in detail. With Ca2+ or Zn2+ added to the silicate host, the crystal phase could be transformed between the α‐form and the β‐form of the Sr2SiO4 structure. Under UV excitation at 367 nm, all samples exhibit a broad band emission from 420 to 680 nm due to the 4f65d1 → 4f7 transition of Eu2+ ions. The broad emission band consists of two peaks at 482 and 547 nm, which correspond to Eu2+ ions occupying the ten‐fold oxygen‐coordinated Sr.(I) site and the nine‐fold oxygen‐coordinated Sr.(II) site, respectively. The luminescence properties, including the intensity and lifetime of Sr2SiO4:Eu2+ phosphors, improved remarkably on Ca2+/Zn2+ addition, and promote its application in white light‐emitting diodes. This paper reports a sequence of a Ca3YAl3B4O15:xEu3+ red phosphor prepared using a high-temperature solid-state reaction. At the excitation of 396 nm, the samples emitted intense red emission centred at ~623 nm, which could be attributed to the 5D0→7F2 transition of the Eu3+ ion. The results showed that the optimum Eu3+ doping concentration of Ca3YAl3B4O15:Eu3+ phosphor was x = 80 mol%, and the concentration quenching mechanism of Ca3YAl3B4O15:Eu3+ red phosphor belonged to the exchange coupling between Eu3+ ions. The Commission Internationale de l'éclairage (CIE) coordinates and colour purity of Ca3Y0.2Al3B4O15:0.8Eu3+ were calculated as (0.6375, 0.3476) and 95.5%, respectively. Moreover, the red emission of the obtained phosphor Ca3YAl3B4O15:0.8Eu3+ exhibited a low thermal quenching behaviour with an intensity retention rate of 92.85% at 150°C. The above results manifest that the Eu3+-activated Ca3YAl3B4O15 phosphor is predicted to be a promising red luminescent component for white light-emitting diodes. 相似文献

A series of Bi3+,Eu3+‐doped BaMoO4 phosphors was synthesized using a hydrothermal method. The crystal structure, morphology and optical properties of the phosphors were studied using X‐ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscope (SEM) and photoluminescence (PL) measurements. Three different particle morphologies were detected in the SEM observation. The energy dispersive spectroscopy (EDS) results indicated that the solubility of Bi3+ in spherical or rugby‐like BaMoO4 particles was very low and the excess Bi3+ element was cumulated in the irregular particles. Characteristic emissions of Eu3+ ions (5D0 → 7FJ; J = 0, 1, 2, 3, 4) were observed under excitation in ultraviolet (UV) light, with the most intense transition being the 5D0 → 7F2 transition. Energy transfer from MoO42? and Bi3+ to Eu3+ can be readily achieved. Red emission intensity of Eu3+ was enhanced by a factor of two by co‐doping with a small amount of Bi3+. Optical properties as a function of Bi3+ content were studied and the optimum Bi3+ content in BaMoO4 nanocrystals was determined to be 0.4 mol%. 相似文献

Due to the advantages of good physicochemical properties, thermal stability, and optical properties, double perovskite compounds have received extensive attention. On this basis, a new type of red phosphor, Ca2YNbO6:xEu3+, was synthesized using a high-temperature solid-phase method. Its phase purity, morphology, elemental composition, absorption spectrum, photoluminescence, thermal stability, and Commission Internationale de l'éclairage (CIE) chromaticity coordinates were thoroughly investigated. The results display that there is no impurity phase in the samples and the convergence factor Rwp = 14.2%; the microscopic particles are uniform and full, and the distribution of each element is uniform. The energy band gap ΔE is between 3.71 eV and 3.65 eV. The luminescence intensity is the best when the doped Eu3+ concentration x reaches 0.4, and emits 612 nm red light (5D0→7F2) under 465 nm excitation, and the concentration quenching is attributed to a d–d interaction. The luminescence intensity at 425 K was still 75% of the room temperature luminescence intensity, which indicates that the thermal stability is extremely superior. The CIE chromaticity coordinates (0.6534, 0.3455) of the Ca2YNbO6:0.4Eu3+ phosphors are very close to National Television Standards Committee (0.670, 0.330), and the samples have low correlated colour temperature (2656 K) and high colour purity (99.90%). All findings suggest that Ca2YNbO6:Eu3+ can serve as a substitute for red phosphor in WLEDs. 相似文献

A series of Eu2+‐, Sm3+‐ and Eu2+/Sm3+‐doped SrZn2(PO4)2 samples were synthesized using a solid‐state reaction. SrZn2(PO4)2:Eu2+ presented a broad emission band due to 4f65d–4f7 transition of the Eu2+ ion. The spectra of SrZn2(PO4)2:Sm sintered in air and H2/N2 were identical in every aspect, except for a very small difference in intensity. A Eu2+–Sm3+ energy transfer scheme was proposed to realize the sensitization of Sm3+ ion emission by Eu2+ ions, and UV‐convertible Sm3+‐activated red phosphor was obtained in SrZn2(PO4)2:Eu2+, Sm3+. Eu3+‐activated Y(P,V)O4 phosphors were prepared by the EDTA sol‐gel method, and the corresponding morphologies and luminescent properties were investigated. The sample particles were relatively spheroid with size of 2–3 µm and had a smooth surface. The excitation spectra for Y(P,V)O4:Eu3+ consisted of three strong excitation bands in the 200–350 nm range, which were attributed to a Eu3+‐ O2? charge‐transfer band and 1A1?1 T1/1 T2 transitions in VO43?. The as‐synthesized phosphors exhibited a highly efficient red luminescence at 613 nm due to the Eu3+ 5D0?7 F2 electric dipole transition. With the increase in the V5+/P5+ ratio, the luminescence intensity of the red phosphor under UV excitation was greatly improved due to enhanced VO43? → Eu3+ energy transfer. A series of Ca2Mg0.25Al1.5Si1.25O7:Ce3+/Eu2+/Tb3+ phosphors was been prepared via a conventional high temperature solid‐state reaction and their luminescence properties were studied. The emission spectra of Ca2Mg0.25Al1.5Si1.25O7:Ce3+,Eu2+ and Ca2Mg0.25Al1.5Si1.25O7:Ce3+,Tb3+ phosphors show not only a band due to Ce3+ ions (409 nm) but also as a band due to Eu2+ (520 nm) and Tb3+ (542 nm) ions. More importantly, the effective energy transfer from Ce3+ to Eu2+ and Tb3+ ions was confirmed and investigated by emission/excitation spectra and luminescent decay behaviors. Furthermore, the energy level scheme and energy transfer mechanism were investigated and were demonstrated to be of resonant type via dipole–dipole (Ce3+ to Eu2+) and dipole–quadrupole (Ce3+ to Tb3+) reactions, respectively. Under excitation at 350 nm, the emitting color could be changed from blue to green by adjusting the relative doping concentration of Ce3+ and Eu2+ ions as well as Ce3+ and Tb3+ ions. The above results indicate that Ca2Mg0.25Al1.5Si1.25O7:Ce3+,Eu2+/Tb3+ are promising single‐phase blue‐to‐green phosphors for application in phosphor conversion white‐light‐emitting diodes. Luminescent properties of Ca3SiO4Cl2 co‐doped with Ce3+ and Eu2+ for near‐ultraviolet light‐emitting diodes 下载免费PDF全文
Ca3SiO4Cl2 co‐doped with Ce3+,Eu2+ was prepared by high temperature reaction. The structure, luminescent properties and the energy transfer process of Ca3SiO4Cl2: Ce3+,Eu2+ were investigated. Eu2+ ions can give enhanced green emission through Ce3+ → Eu2+ energy transfer in these phosphors. The green phosphor Ca2.9775SiO4Cl2:0.0045Ce3+,0.018Eu2+ showed intense green emission with broader excitation in the near‐ultraviolet light range. A green light‐emitting diode (LED) based on this phosphor was made, and bright green light from this green LED could be observed by the naked eye under 20 mA current excitation. Hence it is considered to be a good candidate for the green component of a three‐band white LED. Copyright © 2015 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd. 相似文献
