The nameLegeriomyces Pouz. is proposed forGenistella Léger etGauthier (Trichomycetes), which is a later homonym ofGenistella Ortega (Papilionaceae). Simultaneously the family nameLegeriomycetaceae Pouz. is proposed to replace the family nameGenistellaceae Léger etGauthier.     

The correct generic and specific name for “Acremoniella atra”

Acremoniella atra auct. is taxonomically identical withHarzia acremonioides (Harz) Cost. which is the type of the genusHarzia. Harzia Cost. 1888 must replace the illegitimate nameAcremoniella Sacc. 1886. Two new combinations—Harzia velata (Onions etJones)Hol.-Jech. andHarzia verrucosa (Togn.) Hol.-Jech. are proposed.     

The genusMicromeles revisited

Micromeles Decaisne emend.Koehne (Rosaceae, Maloideae) is shown to be generically distinct fromSorbus L. emend.Crantz. Problems in the taxonomy of the genus are reviewed. The genus appears to be most closely related toRaphiolepis Lindl. but is readily distinguished by a constant set of characters. Both genera may be derived fromSorbus L. emend.Crantz subg.Aria Pers. Analysis of morphological characters is provided. A survey for flavonoids revealed the presence of vitexin and/or luteolin 7-O-glucoside in some members of the genus in a pattern similar to that found in certain Asian species ofSorbus. There are also brief taxonomic notes on some of the species which were examined.     

A review of haliday species ofMicroctonus [Hym.: Braconidae,Euphorinae]

A neotype based on aWesmael specimen is designated forMicroctonus aethiops (Nees).M. aethiops of authors is described asaethiopoides, new species. Lectotypes are designated forM. secalis (Haliday) andcerealium (Haliday). The namecerealium is suppressed as a synonym of the namesecalis and the types ofsecalis andbrevicollis (Haliday) are redescribed.     

Bellevalia ciliata (Cyr.) Nees (Hyacinthaceae) neu für Bulgarien

(Bellevalia ciliata was recorded in north-east Bulgaria south of the Dobrudsha, within field and steppe vegetation. Vegetation records and a distribution map are presented. Based on taxonomic studies it is proposed to combineB. ciliata, B. sarmatica (Pall.) Wor. andB. speciosa Wor. under the oldest nameB. ciliata (Cyr.) Nees.     

Notes on some African hepatic genera 1–5

The present study deals with five genera of hepatics in Africa, Isotachis Mitt., Anastrophyllum (Spruce) Steph., Tritomaria Schiffn. ex Loeske, Gymnocoleopsis (Schust.) Schust. and Lophozia (Dum.) Dum. All African populations of the genus Isotachis Mitt. are considered to be one species, I. aubertii (Schwaegr.) Mitt. Four species of Anastrophyllum (Spruce) Steph. (s.l.), A. auritum (Lehm.) Steph., A. piligerum (Nees) Spruce, A. subcomplicatum (Lehm. et Lindenb.) Steph. and A. minutum (Schreb.) Schust., and two species of Tritomaria Schiffn. et Loeske, T. camerunensis S. Arnell and T. exsecta (Schrad.) Schiffn. ex Loeske occur in Africa. Gymmocoleopsis multiflora (Steph.) Schust. represents a genus and species hitherto unreported for the African flora. Finally, five Lophozia (Dum.) Dum. species, L. argentina (Steph.) Schust., L. capensis S. Arnell, L. decolorans (Limpr.) Steph., L. hedbergii S. Arnell and L. tristaniana (S. Arnell) Váňa, are reported from central and southern Africa; two of these (L. argentina (Steph.) Schust. and L. decolorans (Limpr.) Steph.) represent the first reports from Africa.     

Fallopia Adans. 1763 instead ofBilderdykia Dum. 1827

The generic nameFallopia Adans. 1763 is analysed from the point of view of its taxonomic identily and typified byPolygonum scandens L. 1753. By this typification it is taxonomically identical withBilderdykia Dum. 1827 and must replace that name. The genusFallopia Adans. is defined by comparison with related genera; it includes 9 species in two sections, and 1 hybrid; new nomenclatural combinations are proposed for these taxa.     

Contribution to the knowledge ofEchinodorus macrophyllus (Kunth)Mich. andE. scaber Rataj from tropical America

The paper deals with the taxonomy and geographical distribution of the two species of the genusEchinodorus whichFassett (1955) did not work up satisfactorily in his revision i.e.Echinodorus macrophyllus (Kunth)Mich. whichFassett does not quote at all, andE. scaber Rataj whichFassett mistook forE. muricatus Griseb. Further a new variety and the diagnoses of hybrids, among whichE. punctatus Mich. is included, are cited.

Chromosome counts of some Cuban Angiosperms

Chromosome numbers are reported for 14 species collected in Cuba. Dersechste Beitrag aus der Serie der vorbereiteten Studien über die SubfamilieJungermannioideae (Jungermanniaceae, Hepaticae) enthält die taxonomische Bearbeitung des Subg.Solenostoma (Mitt.)Amak. (GattungJungermannia L. emend.Dum.) in Europa (inkl. Kaukasus und Kleinasien) und Nordamerika. Problems of usage of the generic nameOidium

The correct usage of the generic nameOidium [Link] Fr. 1821 (Hyphomycetes) as well as the question of its conservation—with the authorship attributed toSaccardo 1880 (Erysiphaceae) —are discussed. Problems of the typification of generic names with misinterpreted type are also mentioned.     

A revision ofTaraxacum sect.Piesis (Compositae)

On the basis of allozyme and cultivation data, and of additional herbarium material, a taxonomic and nomenclatural revision ofTaraxacum sect.Piesis A.J. Richards exKirschner et?těpánek is provided. The section is made up of halophilous, sexually reproducing taxa. InT. stenocephalum Boiss. etKotschy,T. pindicum Kirschner et?těpánek, sp. nov., andT. perenne Kirschner et?těpánek, sp. nov., a tetraploid chromosome number has been recorded, representing the only known case of sexuality at the tetraploid level in the genus. The complex ofT. stenocephalum, includes some geographically and morphologically extreme populations treated as subspecies: subsp.gumusanicum (Soest)Kirschner et?těpánek, comb. nov., subsp.magnum Kirschner et?těpánek, subsp. nov., and subsp.daralagesicum (Schischk.)Kirschner et?těpánek, comb. nov.
