Water mites (Acari, Hydrachnidia) from Baishih River drainage in Northern Taiwan, with description of two new species

NEW RECORDS OF WATER MITES (ACARI: Hydrachnidia) from Baishih River drainage of north Taiwan, are presented. Twelve species are recorded, of which ten are new for Taiwan; two of them, Torrenticola projectura and Hygrobates taiwanicus are described as new for science.     

Three new species of Zerconidae (Acari: Mesostigmata) from Turkey

Three new species, Zercon afyonensis sp. n., Zercon karacamehmeti sp. n. and Zercon soguticus sp. n., are described and illustrated based on samples collected in the Inner Aegean Region. The similarities and differences between the related species are discussed.

A new species of the genus Hydrodroma Koch, 1837 (Acari, Hydrachnidia, Hydrodromidae), with a key to the hitherto known six species of the genus in Australia

The genus Hydrodroma Koch, 1837 in Australia consists of six species, the newly described Hydrodroma meridionalissp. n. included. The new species is described from 45 sampling sites from running waters in Queensland, Victoria, New Southern Wales, Western Australia, Northern Territory and South Australia. Furthermore, a key for the identification of species of Hydrodroma occurring in Australia is given.     

New records of water mites of the family Torrenticolidae (Acari, Hydrachnidia) with descriptions of two new species from Nanshih River system in Taiwan and redescription of Torrenticola ussuriensis (Sokolow, 1940) from the Russian Far East

New records of torrenticolid water mites (Acari: Hydrachnidia, Torrenticolidae) from Nanshih River, Taiwan, are presented. Two new species are described: Torrenticola nanshihensis and Torrenticola taiwanicus; the latter species is compared with Torrenticola ussuriensis (Sokolow, 1940), a poorly known species which is re-described based on a new material from the Russian Far East; Monatractides cf. circuloides (Halík, 1930)is reported for the first time for Taiwan.     

The camerobiid mites (Acari, Camerobiidae) of Turkey

Three new species of Neophyllobius viz. N. demirsoyi, N. yunusi, N. bolvadinensis and male, protonymph and larvae of N. lachishensis Bolland, 1998 from Turkey are described and illustrated. Neophyllobius lachishensis is reported from Turkey for the first time.     

Two new species of the genus Zercon C. L. Koch from the Inner Aegean Region of Turkey (Acari: Mesostigmata: Zerconidae)

Two new species of the mite genus Zercon C. L. Koch, 1836 have been found: Zercon ekizi sp. n. and Zercon emirdagicus sp. n. are described and illustrated from female specimens collected in Afyonkarahisar and Kütahya provinces, Turkey. The similarities and differences between the related species are discussed.

Further studies on water mites from Korea,with description of two new species (Acari,Hydrachnidia)

New records of water mites (Acari: Hydrachnidia) from streams in South Korea are presented. Two species are described as new to science: Torrenticola neodentifera sp. n. (Torrenticolidae) and Atractides ermilovi sp. n. (Hygrobatidae). Five species are reported as first records for Korea: Wandesia (Wandesia) reducta Tuzovskij, 1987, Wandesia (Wandesia) cf. rara Tuzovskij, 1990, Sperchon (Sperchon) orientalis Tuzovskij, 1990, Feltria (Feltria) kuluensis Tuzovskij, 1988 and Atractides (Atractides) constrictus (Sokolow, 1934). The latter species is redescribed and elevated to species rank based on new material from the Russian Far East.     

Two new species of the genus Veigaia from China (Acari: Mesostigmata: Veigaiaidae)

Two new species in the genus Veigaia Oudemans, 1939 from soil are described from Liaoning Province, China, Veigaia yinsuigongi sp. nov. and V. beinaxinae sp. nov. The type specimens are deposited in the Department of Entomology, College of Plant Protection, Shenyang Agricultural University, Liaoning Province, China.     

球革螨科一新属记述（蜱螨亚纲：革螨股）

记述了球革螨科一新属Mirabulbus gen. nov.,包括2种：秦巴异球螨M. qinbaensis sp. nov.和亚东异球螨M.yadongensis (Ma et Wang,1997)。     

Peruvian oribatid mites (Acari,Oribatida) from the German Biological Expedition,with description of a new species of the genus Pergalumna

The present study is based on oribatid mite material (Acari, Oribatida) collected during the German Expedition in 2011 in Peru. An annotated checklist of identified oribatid mites, including 16 species from 14 genera and 8 families, is provided. Thirteen species and two genera (Notohermannia, Zetomimus) are recorded for the first time in Peru; the genus Notohermannia and species Notohermannia obtusa are recorded for the first time in the Neotropical region. A new species of the genus Pergalumna (Galumnidae), Pergalumna paraboliviana sp. n., is described. The new species is most similar to Pergalumna boliviana Ermilov, 2013 from Bolivia, however, it differs from the latter by the body size, morphology of porose areas A1 and the presence of interlamellar setae.     

Two new species of oribatid mites of Lasiobelba (Acari,Oribatida, Oppiidae) from Nepal,including a key to all species of the genus

Two new species of oribatid mites of the genus Lasiobelba (Oribatida, Oppiidae), Lasiobelba (Lasiobelba) daamsae sp. n. and Lasiobelba (Antennoppia) nepalica sp. n., are described from eastern Nepal. Lasiobelba (L.) daamsae sp. n. is most similar to L. (L.) remota Aoki, 1959 and L. (L.) gibbosa (Mahunka, 1985), however, it differs from both by the anterior part of pedotecta I specifically curved, rostrum pointed and exobothridial setae not shorter than bothridial setae. Lasiobelba (Antennoppia) nepalica sp. n. is most similar to L. (A.) granulata (Mahunka, 1986), however, it differs from the latter by the larger body size, exobothridial setae longer than rostral setae and bothridial setae not longer than interlamellar setae. An identification key to known species of Lasiobelba is given.     

四川西南部鼠厉螨属-新种（蜱螨亚纲：厉螨科）

本记述了采自四川西南部鼠厉螨属的一个新种，定名为高山鼠厉螨Mysotaelaps atpinus。     

血革螨属一新种记述及对鼯鼠真厉螨雌性形态原始描述的更正（蜱螨亚纲：血革螨科）

述血革螨属Haemogamasus Berlese, 1889一新种,后凹血革螨H. postsinuatus sp. Nov.,采于湖北西北部神农架自然保护区的食虫目（Insectivora）。另对鼯鼠真厉螨 Eulaelaps petauristae Liu et Ma, 1998 雌性气门沟原始描述进行更正。     

中国叶刺瘿螨亚科四新种记述(蜱螨亚纲：瘿螨科)

记述了叶刺瘿螨亚科(Phyllocoptinae)四新种：茅莓上三脊瘿螨Calepitrimerus rubi sp.nov.,槐顶冠瘿螨Tegolophus sophorae sp.nov.,丁香四刺瘿螨Tetraspinus syringae sp.nov.和柳副四瘿螨Paratetra sallicis sp.nov.。     

A new species of the genus Herina Robineau-Desvoidy, 1830 from Iran and Turkey (Diptera: Ulidiidae)

A hitherto unknown species of the dipteran family Ulidiidae is described from Iran and Turkey: Herina rajabii n. sp. is similar to H. gyrans (Loew) and H. tristis (Meigen), differing from them by the yellowish-brown scutellum and presence of a very strong subcercal prensiseta on the surstylus. A key to the species of the Herina tristis-group of species is provided.
