Three new species of Bromeliaceae from Ecuador

Three new species of Bromeliaceae (subfamily Tillandsioideae) from Ecuador are described and illustrated: Guzmania atrocastanea from Prov. Morona-Santiago; G. condorensis from Prov. Zamora-Chinchipe; and Vriesea boeghii from Prov. Loja.     

New spies and new combinations in Aphelandra (Acanthaceae) from Ecuador and adjacent Peru

Nine new species and a new variety are described: Aphelandra villonacensis from prov. Loja, A. anderssonii from Loja, A. azuayensis from Azuay, A. rumbecensis from Tumbes, Peru, A. zamorensis from Zamora-Chinchipe, A. loxensis from Loja, A. neillii from Zamora-Chinchipe, A. rosulata var. albinotata from Morona-Santiago, A. albinotata from Esmeraldas, and A. mollissima from San Martin, Peru. The new taxa are described, illustrated, and compared with their closest relatives. Two new combinations are made: Aphelandra modesta and A. rosulata .     

A new species of Drymonia (Gesneriaceae) from the eastern slopes of the Ecuadorian Andes

A new species, Drymonia ignea (Gesneriaceae, tribe Episcieae), is described from the eastern slopes of the Ecuadorian Andes from the provinces of Tungurahua, Napo, and Morona-Santiago. It differs from other species of Drymonia by the presence of an urceolate corolla, quadrangular stem, and cucullate calyx lobes.     

Two new species and combinations of Stipa L. (Graminae) from northwest Africa

Two new species of Stipa L. S. meridionalis and S. magrebensis, are described from northern Africa, and two new combinations have been made: V. barbata subsp. breripila and S. gigantea subsp. maroccana.     

Stigmatomyces from New Zealand and New Caledonia: new records, new species and two new host families

Seven new records and three new species of Stigmatomyces (S. australis, S. baeopteri and S. clasiopellae), a genus of Laboulbeniales associated only with Diptera, are described from New Zealand and New Caledonia. Two new host families for Laboulbeniales are recorded, and a dichotomous key to Stigmatomyces species in New Zealand and New Caledonia is presented.     

齿梗孢属二新种

报道分离自土壤中的齿梗孢属 Scolecobasidium 二新种:椭圆齿梗孢 Scolecobasidium ellipticum 和小孢齿梗孢 Scolecobasidium microsporum。椭圆齿梗孢与亚马逊齿梗孢 S. amazonense、粗腐植齿梗孢 S. crassihumicola 和倒卵齿梗孢 S. obovatum 形态近似,区别在于 S. amazonense 的分生孢子倒卵形,常在分生孢子基部形成一横隔膜,同样 S. crassihumicola 的分生孢子也仅具一横隔膜;S. obovatum 的分生孢子(10-25×4-6μm)明显地较新种的大,且表面光滑,因此容易区分。小孢齿梗孢与嗜粪齿梗孢 S. coprophilum、腐植齿梗孢 S. humicola 和小疣齿梗孢 S. verruculosum 分生孢子形态有些相似,但新种的分生孢子明显小于 S. coprophilum(6-12.5×2.8-4.2μm)和 S. humicola(7-13×2.8-4μm, Matsushima,1971)的,分生孢子梗也明显较后两者的短;此外,新种的分生孢子密生刺突,而 S. verruculosum 分生孢子表面遍生小疣,使它们陪此易于区分。二新种的模式标本(干制培养物)保存在山东农业大学植物病理学标本室(HSAUP)。     

齿梗孢属(丝孢纲)5个新种及中国土壤中本属真菌已知种检索表(英文)

报道5个中国土壤中齿梗孢属新种:细基齿梗孢Scolecobasidium acutimum、不等齿梗孢S.anisomerum、弯孢齿梗孢S.curvularioides、近球齿梗孢S.spheroideum和浙江齿梗孢S.zhejiangense。对新种与各自相似种的区别进行了讨论。文末附有中国土壤中已知22种齿梗孢属真菌的检索表。新种模式标本(干制培养物)与活菌种保藏于山东农业大学植物病理学标本室(HSAUP),等模式标本(干制培养物)存放在中国科学院真菌标本馆(HMAS)。     

隔担菌属三新种和三个中国新记录种

报道隔担菌属3个新种和3个中国新记录种。新种分别是胡颓子隔担菌Septobasidium elaeagni,绣球隔担菌Septobasidium hydrangeae和云南隔担菌Septobasidium yunnanense。中国新记录种分别是黑点隔担菌Septobasidium atropunctum,菌丝状隔担菌Septobasidium conidiophorum和拟隔担菌 Septobasidium septobasidioides。     

Two new species ofSporothrix and their relation toBlastobotrys nivea

Two new species ofSporothrix are described:S. cyanescens, isolated from human skin andS. fungorum from fungal carpophores. Both species may form secondary blastoconidia; they resembleBlastobotrys nivea in several respects. The latter species is distinct by the shape of the conidiophores.     

飞虱科一新属二新种

记述飞虱科一新属,即沟茎飞虱属Sulculus Ding et Chen, gen.nov.,二新种,即沟茎飞虱S. sulcatus Ding,sp.nov.和荔波沟茎飞虱S. liboensis Chen, sp. Nov.。模式标本分别保存于南京农业大学植物保护系和贵州大学昆虫研究所。     

Two new species of fleas from Chile and Argentina(Insecta-Siphonaptera: Stephanocircidae and Rhopalopsyllidae) and raising of a new sub-genus of Plocopsylla Jordan, 1931

A new subgenus of Plocopsylla is raised, Schrammapsylla Beaucournu and Ménier from the entire group B of Schramm & Lewis, 1988 and two new fleas from Chile and Argentina are described: Plocopsylla (S.) muruai n. sp. Beaucournu and Gallardo and Ectinorus (E.) mimacydis n. sp. Beaucournu and Gallardo. These two taxa are only known by the male sex.

Three new species of Portulaca sect. Neossia from east and northeast Africa

Three new species of Portulaca sect. Neossia are described: P. constricta from SE Ethiopia and Somalia; P. commutata , widespread in the Somali-Masai phytochorion of east and northeast Africa, and P. bulbifera from S Ethiopia and N Kenya.     

Nine new species of the spider genus Stedocys (Araneae,Scytodidae) from China and Thailand

Nine new species of the genus Stedocys Ono,1995 are described:Stedocys gaolingensis Wu & Lisp.n.(♂♀,Guangxi),S.huangniuensis Wu & Lisp.n.(♀,Guangxi),S.ludiyanensis Wu & Lisp.n.(♂♀,Guangxi),S.matuoensis Wu & Lisp.n.(♀,Guangxi),S.pulianensis Wu & Lisp.n.(♂,Guangxi),S.shilinensis Wu & Lisp.n.(♂♀,Hainan),S.xianrenensis Wu & Lisp.n.(♂♀,Guangxi),S.xiangzhouensis Wu & Li sp.n.(♂♀,Guangxi) from China,and S.zhaoi Wu & Lisp.nov.(♂♀,Kanchanaburi) from Thailand.Diagnoses of nine new species are provided.DNA barcodes for six new species are documented for future use and as proof of molecular differences between these species.     

A new cytotype of Simulium squamosum from south-west Cameroon

A new cytotype of Simulium squamosum Enderlein (Diptera: Simuliidae) (here named S. squamosum'D') is described from around Mount Cameroon in south-west Cameroon on the basis of sex-chromosome differences on the short arm of chromosome I. Two polymorphic inversions, IS-To (a new inversion) and IS-2, are partially Y linked. These inversions usually occur together, although IS-To has a higher frequency and is more strongly Y linked than IS-2. This sex-chromosome system has not been previously described and the occurrence and evolution of sex-chromosome systems in S. squamosum is discussed.     

Notes on Neotropical Selaginella (Selaginellaceae), including new species from Panama

Three new species ofSelaginella from Panama are described and illustrated:S. correae, S. salazariae, andS. taylorii. In addition, a new name,S. smithiorum, is proposed forS. velutina A. R. Smith (nonS. velutina Cesati), and eleven new distribution records are reported. The relationships of the species are discussed and keys to some of the species are provided.     

Thirteen new species and two new combinations of Stevia (Asteraceae: Eupatorieae) from Mexico

Thirteen new species of the genusStevia are described and illustrated from Mexico:S. chilapensis, S. coahuilensis, S. crassifolia, S. ecatepecana, S. filodecaballoana, S. mascotensis, S. mexicana, S. oaxacana, S. oligophylla, S. potosina, S. rotundifolia, S. scabrelloides, andS. viejoana. In addition, two varieties,Stevia aschenborniana Sch. Bip. ex Klotzsch var.occidentalis Grashoff andS. palmeri A. Gray var.constricta Grashoff are herein redefined as being distinct species,S. occidentalis andS. constricta stat. nov.Stevia mexicana resemblesStevia trifida Lagasca but differs in the habit.     

Two new species of Stenoloba (Lepidoptera: Noctuidae) from East Asia with the first description of S. nora female genitalia

Two new species of Stenoloba Staudinger, 1892 are described: S. ronkayi Sohn and Tzuoo sp. nov. from Taiwan and S. hystrix Sohn sp. nov. from northern Vietnam. The relationships of the new species with the actual species groups of Stenoloba are discussed. The formerly unknown female of S. nora Kononenko and Ronkay, 2001 and its genitalia are described here for the first time.

Siptionella,a new bivalve genus of Parallelodontidae from the Upper Eocene of Ukraine

A new genus of the family Parallelodontidae (Bivalvia: Arcoidea), Siptionella gen. nov., with four species from the Upper Eocene of Ukraine and Germany and the Maestrichtian of Denmark is described. From the Upper Eocene of Ukraine, two species, the type species of the genus S. prompta (Berezovsky, 2002), previously described by the author within the genus Porterius, and the new species S. demissa sp. nov. are described and figured.
