物候模型可以通过环境因子预测植物物候期,是植物物候学一个重要内容。其中,试图反映生物过程的动态物候模型往往预测比较准确,因此这类物候模型有助于探讨植物在全球变化中的响应。本文把动态物候模型分为3大类,温度物候模型、冷激物候模型和其它物候模型,阐述了每个模型的基本原理和假设,重点论述了常见的温度物候模型.提出物候模型的真实性和广泛性还需要进一步提高,并介绍了温度物候模型在全球变化中运用的几个代表案例,指出目前的物候模型研究刚刚起步,还有许多方面需要进一步深入和开拓。  相似文献

Temperate deciduous forest trees flower in spring, a period that starts when the trees lack leaves and when weather is unpredictable, including frost events, and ends when the forest becomes green and vertical microclimatic gradients are established. This paper asks whether there are spatio-temporal patterns in the development of flowering in trees, and how they relate to reproductive processes. Using a crane, flowering phenology was studied in the crowns of ca. 200 trees of four species, from early spring (ash) through the period of leaf-unfolding (maples) to early summer (lime). Flowering levels in different crown regions were documented quantitatively and repeatedly during the flowering season and compared among individuals and among species. Early-flowering trees displayed a clear and consistent acropetalous and centrifugal flowering pattern, while this pattern disappeared in species that flowered after leaves unfolded. This pattern was superposed on the basic flowering rhythm of each species, and was influenced by effects of direct sunlight, acting at a small scale in early spring and at a large scale in early summer. As this acropetalous centrifugal pattern contrasts the microclimatic gradients that develop only after leaves unfold, it might indicate physiological processes in the 'awakening' of trees, as well as evolutionary processes that took place in temperate trees during adaptation to a temperate climate.  相似文献

This paper presents the content and composition of free sterols in a number of Astragalus species from Iran. Free sterols of roots and seeds were analysed quantitatively and qualitatively by gas-liquid chromatography. Four major 3-beta-hydroxysterols (cholesterol, campesterol, stigmasterol and beta-sitosterol) were identified in roots of 18 species and in seeds of five species of Astragalus. beta-Sitosterol was the main free sterol in both roots and seeds. The cholesterol content in seeds was higher than that in roots. Trace amounts of cholesterol were detected in roots of only four species. beta-Sitosterol accounted for 34.4-69.2 and 76.8-81.8% of the total lipid content in roots and seeds, respectively. The beta-sitosterol content in roots and seeds of Astragalus species varied from 6.3 to 35.7 and 93.3 to 164.5mg/100g dry weight, respectively. Total free sterol content in seeds varied from 112.09 to 204.04mg/100g dry weight, significantly higher than those in roots (7.5 to 43.4mg/100g dry weight). The chemotaxonomic values of free sterols and total lipid profiles of some of the representative species are discussed.  相似文献

Volatile compounds from flowering plants of Ophrys sphecodes atrata, O.s. litigiosa, O.s. provincialis and O. splendida were collected on Porapak Q and identified by GC/MS. Major compounds released were 2-heptanol, 2-nonanol, 2-heptanone, 2-nonanone and α-nonanone and α-pinene. Large amounts of mono- and diunsaturated tridecanes were found in O. splendida. Comparisons of flower scents and the cephalic secretions of their pollinators indicate chemical mimetism. Chemotaxonomic comparisons of the volatiles released by the flowering plants are also made.  相似文献

A prominent response of temperate aquatic ecosystems to climate warming is changes in phenology – advancements or delays in annually reoccurring events in an organism's life cycle. The exact seasonal timing of warming, in conjunction with species-specific life-history events such as emergence from resting stages, timing of spawning, generation times, or stage-specific prey requirements, may determine the nature of a species' response. We demonstrate that recent climate-induced shifts in the phenology of lake phytoplankton and zooplankton species in a temperate eutrophic lake (Müggelsee, Germany) differed according to differences in their characteristic life cycles. Fast-growing plankton in spring (diatoms, Daphnia ) showed significant and synchronous forward movements by about 1 month, induced by concurrent earlier ice break-up dates (diatoms) and higher spring water temperature ( Daphnia ). No such synchrony was observed for slow-growing summer zooplankton species with longer and more complex life cycles (copepods, larvae of the mussel Dreissena polymorpha ). Although coexisting, the summer plankton responded species specifically to seasonal warming trends, depending on whether the timing of warming matched their individual thermal requirements at decisive developmental stages such as emergence from diapause (copepods), or spawning ( Dreissena ). Others did not change their phenology significantly, but nevertheless, increased in abundances. We show that the detailed seasonal pattern of warming influences the response of phyto- and zooplankton species to climate change, and point to the diverse nature of responses for species exhibiting complex life-history traits.  相似文献

Antigenic analyses of Lactobacillus bulgaricus, Lactobacillus lactis, Lactobacillus brevis and Lactobacillus buchneri were carried out by double immunodiffusion in agar. Antigens were extracted from whole cells and cell wall preparations with cold trichloroacetic acid. Most strains of the four species possessed antigen 9 in their cell walls. Another antigen, antigen 10, was found in the cell walls of all the strains of L. brevis and L. buchneri, and in some strains of L. lactis, but not in L. bulgaricus. Fractionation of the antigens was attempted using the cell wall extracts of L. lactis L-10 with only antigen 9 and of L. brevis X-1 with both antigens 9 and 10. The partially purified fractions of antigen 9 and of the complex of antigens 9 and 10 were obtained by zone electrophoresis. However, antigen 10 from the complex could not be separated by the same method or gel filtration on Sephadex G-100 since the two antigens 9 and 10 of the complex always behaved together. The fraction of antigen 9 consisted almost entirely of glycerol and glucose as sugar components, the molar ratio being 2: 1. The complex of antigens 9 and 10 also consisted of the same sugars, and the molar ratio of glycerol: glucose was 4: 1. Inhibition tests indicated that the immunodominant component of antigen 9 was a-methylglucoside (glucose), and most probably the determinant is a glycosylated glycerol teichoic acid. It was considered that the determinant of antigen 10 is a glycerol teichoic acid although glucosamine and galactosamine inhibited effectively the reaction between antigen 10 and its antibody.  相似文献

Chromosomes of four species in three genera of Commelinaceae from China were examined. Spatholirion longifolium had 2 n  = 20. This small genus is considered to be of a possible polyploid origin based on x  = 5, a basic number shared by its closest ally, the monospecific genus Streptolirion , with its only species having 2 n  = 10. The two genera were found to be very different from each other in their karyotypic constitution. The differences in both chromosome number (2 n  = 20 vs. 10) and karyotypic constitution support their separation as two independent genera. The remaining three species, Amischotolype hispida , Porandra ramosa and P. scandens , all had 2 n  = 36. In view of the occasional occurrence of 2 n  = 18 in the African Coleotrype , a genus very close to Amischotolype and Porandra in gross morphology, these three species are all very probably polyploid based on x  = 9. The high degree of karyotypic similarity of the three genera also strongly indicates their close affinity and supports their placement in the subtribe Coleotrypinae. © 2006 The Linnean Society of London, Botanical Journal of the Linnean Society , 2006, 152 , 399–403.  相似文献

The North Sea Streptomyces strain GWS-BW-H5 was investigated by analyzing headspace extracts of agar-plate cultures (HE) or liquid cultures (LCE), obtained with a closed-loop stripping apparatus (CLSA), by GC/MS (Table 1). The volatile profile of the HE is dominated by the known volatiles (-)-geosmin (4) and 2-methyisoborneol (1). Small amounts of sesquiterpenes occur, which are present in a more-diverse structural variety and in higher quantities in the LCE. The different structures can be rationalized by few cationic intermediates along their biosynthetic pathway. The most-prominent difference between the two culture methods were the presence of the Me-branched gamma- and delta-lactones 31-38, not previously reported from nature, in the LCE. Major components were 10-methyldodecan-5-olide (34), 10-methyldodec-2-en-4-olide (36), and 10-methyldodec-3-en-4-olide (38). The structures of all new lactones were verified by synthesis. Furthermore, more volatiles in higher amounts were produced by the liquid culture than by to the agar plate culture. Since 36 showed inhibitory growth effects against strain GWS-BW-H5, growth inhibition against twelve other strains isolated from the same habitat was tested. Antagonistic activity against four of the strains was observed, with a slightly higher threshold level than found for penicillin G, which was used in control experiments (Table 2).  相似文献

Fractionation of the sterol mixture from Tristagma uniflorum, Nothoscordum gramineum var. philippianum, Nothoscordum inodorum, and Nothoscordum montevidense were achieved by means of preparative TLC. Analysis of the fractions by GC and GC-MS allowed the identification of Δ0, Δ5, and Δ7 sterols. The unusually high proportion of cholestan-3β-ol seems to be biogenetically related to the C27 steroidal sapogenins contained in those plants.  相似文献

Background and Aims Recent global changes, particularly warming and drought, have had worldwide repercussions on the timing of flowering events for many plant species. Phenological shifts have also been reported in alpine environments, where short growing seasons and low temperatures make reproduction particularly challenging, requiring fine-tuning to environmental cues. However, it remains unclear if species from such habitats, with their specific adaptations, harbour the same potential for phenological plasticity as species from less demanding habitats.Methods Fourteen congeneric species pairs originating from mid and high elevation were reciprocally transplanted to common gardens at 1050 and 2000 m a.s.l. that mimic prospective climates and natural field conditions. A drought treatment was implemented to assess the combined effects of temperature and precipitation changes on the onset and duration of reproductive phenophases. A phenotypic plasticity index was calculated to evaluate if mid- and high-elevation species harbour the same potential for plasticity in reproductive phenology.Key Results Transplantations resulted in considerable shifts in reproductive phenology, with highly advanced initiation and shortened phenophases at the lower (and warmer) site for both mid- and high-elevation species. Drought stress amplified these responses and induced even further advances and shortening of phenophases, a response consistent with an ‘escape strategy’. The observed phenological shifts were generally smaller in number of days for high-elevation species and resulted in a smaller phenotypic plasticity index, relative to their mid-elevation congeners.Conclusions While mid- and high-elevation species seem to adequately shift their reproductive phenology to track ongoing climate changes, high-elevation species were less capable of doing so and appeared more genetically constrained to their specific adaptations to an extreme environment (i.e. a short, cold growing season).  相似文献

A new class of compounds for the plant family Lamiaceae, benzoxazinoids, was found in Lamium galeobdolon. From the aerial parts of the species were isolated the new 2-O-beta-D-glucopyranosyl-6-hydroxy-2H-1,4-benzoxazin-3(4H)-one (6-hydroxy blepharin) together with four known benzoxazinoids, DHBOA-Glc, blepharin, DIBOA, DIBOA-Glc, as well as harpagide, 8-O-acetyl-harpagide and salidroside. Eight known iridoid glucosides, 24-epi-pterosterone and verbascoside were isolated from Lamium amplexicaule, L. purpureum and L. garganicum. The iridoids, 5-deoxylamiol and sesamoside, as well as the phytoecdysone, 24-epi-pterosterone, were found for the first time for the genus Lamium. The phytochemical data are discussed from a systematic and evolutionary point of view.  相似文献

A new cardenolide, 17β-H-periplogenin-3-O-β-d-digitoxoside (1), and a new pregnane glycoside, Δ5-pregnene-3β,16α-diol-d-O-[2,4-O-diacetyl-β-digitalopyranosyl-(1 → 4)-β-d-cymaropyranoside]-16-O-[β-d-glucopyranoside] (2) were isolated from the roots of Streptocaulon tomentosum (Asclepiadaceae) together with a series of known compounds. Their chemotaxonomic significance for the separation of S. tomentosum from Streptocaulon juventas is discussed, suggesting a rather clear distinction of these species.  相似文献
