We have determined the trace element composition of anti-influenza virus mushrooms using atomic absorption spectrophotometer. The elements present in greater concentration in Ganoderma lucidum samples are selenium, iron, and zinc, with selenium being the element with the highest concentration of all, at 416 ± 38.5 mg/kg; in Cordyceps militaris samples are iron, selenium, and zinc, with iron being the element with the highest concentration of all, at 291 ± 20.9 mg/kg; in Kuehneromyces mutabilis samples are selenium, iron, and manganese, with selenium being the element with the highest concentration of all, at 203 ± 9.8 mg/kg; in Inonotus hispidus samples are zinc, selenium, and iron, with zinc being the element with the highest concentration of all, at 194 ± 16.9mg/kg; in the Collybia maculata samples are iron, selenium, and zinc, with iron being the element with the highest concentration of all, at 274 ± 22.2 mg/kg, respectively. The average metal concentrations in mushrooms decreases in the order: selenium > iron > zinc > chromium > manganese > copper > magnesium > lead. After the mice were administered (orally) with mushroom extracts for 8 weeks and inoculated intranasally with viral suspension, element levels in serum were also measured. Highly significantly increased values of Se, Zn, and Mg in the serum of mice supplemented with anti-influenza virus mushrooms were a characteristic finding. Se, Zn, and Mg present in mushrooms may play a direct or indirect role in their anti-influenza virus nature. They may provide prophylactic protection against influenza infection via stimulation of host innate immune response.  相似文献

Concentrations of selected metals were determined using ICP-MS in canned bonito, sardines and mackerel commercialized in Turkey. Thirty samples and two different brands were sampled for each fish species. The minimum and maximum concentrations of trace metals in canned bonito, sardines and mackerel were found as 0.000–34.742, 0.000–89.015, 0.000–28.725 mg/kg for iron, 2.388–26.620, 10.930–41.340, 4.778–29.270 mg/kg for zinc, 0.331–1.548, 0.599–2.242, 0.336–2.884 mg/kg for copper, 0.000–0.065, 0.000–0.113, 0.000–0.115 mg/kg for cadmium, 0.000–0.190, 0.000–0.158, 0.000–0.385 mg/kg for tin, 0.000–0.111, 0.000–0.223, 0.000–0.208 mg/kg for mercury and 0.000–3.046, 0.000–2.875, 0.000–3.529 mg/kg for lead, respectively. These levels are similar those found in other studies. Although the samples have concentrations within permissible limits for Zn, Cu, Sn and Hg, some of them contained Fe, Cd and Pb above these limits. Periodical controls of metals in canned fish are essential both to protect human health and to provide data on this subject.  相似文献

Three hundred and sixty healthy Ross × Ross 1-day-old broilers were used to study the effects of zinc glycine chelate (Zn-Gly) on oxidative stress, contents of trace elements, and intestinal morphology. All broilers were randomly assigned to six treatment groups, which replicates three times. Diets were as follows: (1) control (containing 29.3 mg zinc (Zn)/kg basic diet (0–21 days) and 27.8 mg Zn/kg (22–42 days)); (2) basic diet plus 30 mg Zn/kg from Zn-Gly; (3) basic diet plus 60 mg Zn/kg from Zn-Gly; (4) basic diet plus 90 mg Zn/kg from Zn-Gly; (5) basic diet plus 120 mg Zn/kg from Zn-Gly; and (6) positive control, basic diet plus 120 mg Zn/kg from zinc sulfate (ZnSO4). The results showed that the addition of 90 or 120 mg/kg Zn-Gly led to an improvement of activity of Cu/Zn superoxide dismutase and glutathione peroxidase and a reduction of malondialdehyde content in livers at 21 and 42 days. With 90 mg/kg Zn-Gly, the content of sera zinc increased by 17.55% (P < 0.05) in 21-day broilers and 10.77% (P > 0.05) in 42-day broilers compared with that of the control. Adding 120 mg/kg Zn-Gly or ZnSO4 to broilers' diets greatly enhanced the content of zinc in feces at 21 days (P < 0.05) and at 42 days (P < 0.05). For 42-day chickens, increased villus height and decreased crypt depth of the jejunum could be observed in the second growth stage of broilers fed with 90 mg/kg Zn-Gly. Also, intestinal wall thickness decreased (P < 0.05). In addition, adding 90 mg/kg Zn-Gly to the diet markedly elevated villus length of duodenum and decreased crypt depth of ileum (P < 0.05) in 42-day broilers.  相似文献

Present study investigates relationships between total and bioaccessibility of trace elements (Cd, Co, Cr, Cu, Mn, NI, Pb, V, and Zn) concentrations in sediment and their bioaccumulation in species in Shadegan wetland in southwest of Iran. Bioavailability factor (BAF) and translocation factor (TF) were calculated in plants and trophic transfer factor (TTF) was determined in bird species. For this purpose, sampling of sediments, aquatic plants including Phragmites australis, Typha australis, Scripus maritimus and two bird species encircling Porphyrio porphyrio and globally threatened Marmaronetta angustirostris were carried out during winter 2009. Result of chemical analysis show that bioaccessibility concentrations of Mn (8.31 mg/kg), V (1.33 mg/kg), and Pb (1.03 mg/kg) are higher than other metals. The uptake trend of trace elements in plant decreases as root > stem > leaf. Accumulation levels of trace elements in different tissues of P. porphyrio and M. angustirostris are almost identical and considerable. Accumulation and toxicity of Cd in birds is more than plants. In addition, BAF of V, Pb, and Cr indicates high accumulation by plants and great pollution rate in the area of study. In S. maritimus TF for Mn, Cu, Pb, and V are high whereas in T. australis, Cu and Pb posses the highest TF. Also Cr, Co, Mn, Ni, and Zn have higher TF from stem to leaf than root to stem in P. australis. Finally, TTFs were compared in various bird species.  相似文献

This study investigates mercury, lead, copper, and zinc concentrations in six most frequently consumed fish species (120 samples), sediments (20 samples) taken from Karaduvar Fishing Area where fish species live, and Mersin Port as a contrary region, and human scalp hair for people regularly consuming these fish species (50 samples) and non-fish-eaters (15 samples) in Mersin, Turkey. On taking living environment into account, the fish groups include pelagic species of Liza saliens, Liza aurata, and demersal species of Merluccius merluccius, Mullus barbatus, Upeneus moluccensis, and Solea solea. Total Hg (THg) was found to accumulate in muscle tissues at the lowest concentration (0.01 μg/g) in L. saliens and at the highest (2.66 μg/g) in S. solea. Pb was only detected at high concentrations of 1.86 μg/g in M. barbatus and of 2.16 μg/g in M. merluccius. Cu and Zn concentrations were below the detection limit within all fish species. In the sediment samples, Pb and Cu concentrations were persistently below their effect range–median (ERM) value, whereas this limiting value only maintained for 15% of THg concentrations. On the other hand, the effect range–low (ERL) of sediment exceeded at Pb in 15% of samples and Cu in 25% of samples. Zn remained below the detection limit for sediment samples. The metal concentrations at scalp hairs of regular consumers of these fish groups and non-fish eaters vary from the range 0.40–3.28 to 0.14–1.02 μg/g for THg, 11.16–107.84 to 8.00–22.38 μg/g for Pb, and 151.67–645.35 to 144.92–343.50 μg/g for Zn. An important finding of the present study is the significant adverse impact of sedimentary heavy metal bioaccumulation to human through the consumption of demersal fishes in the city of Mersin along the southern coast of Turkey.  相似文献

Antioxidants are molecules that may reverse, prevent or slow cellular damage caused by free radicals. Increasing dietary intake of antioxidants is thought to reduce oxidative stress that may contribute to the development of several diseases. Mushrooms are known to contain antioxidants such as selenium, ergothioneine and phenolics that may serve this role. Here we sought to enhance selenium and ergothioneine concentration in Pleurotus eryngii var. eryngii basidiomata by modifying the techniques used for their commercial cultivation. To enhance selenium content in mushrooms, substrates were supplemented with sodium selenite (Na2SeO3) to reach selenium concentrations of 5 and 10 μg/g. Basidiomata of one commercial isolate (WC888) accumulated selenium up to 4.6 and 9.3 μg/g (d.w.), respectively. Therefore, a serving size (85 g) of fresh P. eryngii mushrooms produced on substrates supplemented with 5 and 10 μg/g of Na2SeO3 would supply 70.4 and 116.3% of the daily value of selenium (DV = 70 μg), respectively. Since selenium-enriched mushrooms would supply more than 20% of the DV, they could be considered an excellent source of selenium. Ergothioneine concentration was enhanced in mushrooms produced on low-moisture (55%) substrate compared to the commonly used 60% (high-moisture) in commercial cultivation. Mushrooms produced on low-moisture substrate had ergothioneine concentrations of 3.0 mg/g, while mushrooms produced on high-moisture substrate contained 2.2 mg/g or less. Use of a casing overlay for mushroom production resulted in significant yield increases on low-moisture substrate but not on high-moisture substrate.  相似文献

Metal concentrations have been determined in shoots of 12 species considered as Cu and/or Co hyperaccumulators, collected from five subpopulations in a Cu/Co mine in Katanga. Samples have been subjected to three cleansing protocols (water, alconox, alconox + EDTA). Cu/Co concentrations were significantly higher when demineralised water was used to wash samples compared to more aggressive solutions. Washing effect was largest for species with velvety (Acalypha cupricola) or sticky (Haumaniastrum katangense) indumentum. Element concentrations in shoots varied by two orders of magnitude, i.e. 45–2,891 mg kg−1 Cu (median: 329 mg kg−1) and 21–1,971 mg kg−1 Co (median: 426 mg kg−1) and were generally lower than previously published values. Only 9.3% of data exceeded the hyperaccumulation threshold (1,000 mg kg−1) for Cu and 13% for Co. Shoot concentrations varied by up to two orders of magnitude among subpopulations within species which was partly explained by variation of metal concentrations in the soil. Although the species considered in this paper undisputedly accumulate Co and Cu up to very high concentrations that require specific shoot tolerance mechanisms, the concept of hyperaccumulation, as defined for other metals like Zn and Ni, needs to be critically re-examined for Cu and Co. Our results suggest that many species so far regarded as Co/Cu hyperaccumulators might eventually turn out to be indicators.  相似文献

 Recently, several species of basidiomycetes were shown to produce de novo high concentrations of chloroaromatic metabolites. Since these lignocellulose-degrading fungi play a major role in the ecosphere, the purpose of this study was to determine the ubiquity of organohalogen production among basidiomycetes. A total of 191 fungal strains were monitored for adsorbable organic halogen (AOX) production when grown on defined liquid media. Approximately 50% of the strains tested and 55% of the genera tested produced AOX. A low production of 0.1–0.5 mg AOX/l was observed among 25% of the strains, a moderate production of 0.5–5.0 mg AOX/l was observed among 16% of the strains and 9% of the strains produced high levels (5–67 mg AOX/l). The latter group was dominated by species belonging to the genera Hypholoma, Mycena and Bjerkandera, showing specific AOX productions in the range 1074–30893 mg AOX/kg dry weight of mycelial biomass. Many highly ecologically significant fungal species were identified among the moderate to high producers. These species were also able to produce AOX when cultivated on natural lignocellulosic substrates. Hypholoma fasciculare and Mycena metata respectively produced up to 132 mg and 193 mg AOX/kg dry weight of forest litter substrate in 6 weeks. This paper brings out the results of the study on the levels of selected trace elements (Cu, Fe, Mn, Zn and Cr) in aerial parts of Thymus pannonicus All. (Lamiaceae) and rhizosphere soil from twelve locations in Serbia. Prior to assays by flame and flameless atomic absorption spectrometry, samples were subjected to microwave-assisted acid digestion. Real and potential acidity of soil samples were also measured. Obtained results for soil samples, although slightly higher for some elements (Cu: 12.38–45.18 mg/kg; Fe: 22102–46193 mg/kg; Mn: 776.95–4901.27 mg/kg; Zn: 62.27–214.02 mg/kg; Cr: 48.86–69.13 mg/kg), were found to fit into biogeochemical background. Element contents in plant samples differed depending on collecting site (Cu: 5.26–14.07 mg/kg; Fe: 25.92–1454.07 mg/kg; Mn: 89.29–278.25 mg/kg; Zn: 1.81–10.64 mg/kg; Cr: 1.11–3.51 mg/kg), which can be partly explainable by different nutrient availability influenced by soil acidity. Zinc levels in T. pannonicus were below expected and seem to be strongly influenced by plant physiological properties.  相似文献

In order to evaluate hydrocarbon inputs to Crater Lake from anthropogenic and natural sources, samples of water, aerosol, surface slick and sediment were collected and analyzed by gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS) for determination of their aliphatic and aromatic hydrocarbon concentrations and compositions. Results show that hydrocarbons originate from both natural (terrestrial plant waxes and algae) and anthropogenic (petroleum use) sources and are entering the lake through direct input and atmospheric transport. The concentrations of petroleum hydrocarbons range from low to undetectable. The distributions and abundances of n-alkanes, polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAH) and unresolved complex mixture (UCM) from petroleum are similar for all surface slick sampling sites. The estimated levels of PAH in surface slicks range from 7–9 ng/m2 which are low. Transport of petroleum-derived hydrocarbons from the lake surface has resulted in their presence in some sediments, particularly near the boat operations mooring (total petroleum HC = 1440 μg/kg, dry wt. compared to naturally derived n-alkanes, 240 μg/kg, dry wt.). The presence of biomarkers such as the tricyclic terpanes, hopanes and steranes in shallow sediments further confirms petroleum input from boat traffic. In the deep lake sediments, petroleum hydrocarbon concentrations were very low (16 μg/kg, dry wt.). Very low concentrations of PAH were detected in shallow sediments (17–40 μg/kg at 5 m depth near the boat operations) and deep sediments (3–15 μg/kg at 580 m depth). The individual PAH concentrations in sediments (μg/kg or ppb range) are at least three orders of magnitude less than reported threshold effects levels (mg/kg or ppm range, test amphipod Hyalella azteca). Therefore, no adverse effects are expected to occur in benthic biota exposed to these sediments. Boating activities are leaving a detectable level of petroleum in surface waters and lake sediments but these concentrations are very low.  相似文献

The aim of the study was to determine the boron contents of some wild-growing mushrooms collected from the vicinity of several boron mines located in Balikesir, Turkey and compare the boron contents of some mushroom and soil samples. The locations of the mushroom samples collected were within the distance of 0–100, 100–500, and 500–1,000 m to the mines. Soil samples were taken from beneath randomly selected fungal fruit bodies. A total of 40 mushroom samples were found in the study area and 37 different species were identified. Among the 40 samples analyzed, the highest boron content was detected to be 273 mg kg−1 in Suillus collinitus. Also, Tricholoma terreum (69.52 mg kg−1), Myxomphalia maura (36.52 mg kg−1), Otidea concinna (30.70 mg kg−1), Sepultaria arenosa (28.94 mg kg−1), Melanoleuca paedida (28.33 mg kg−1), and Lycoperdon lividum (28.31 mg kg−1) relatively have high levels of boron and these species are proposed as candidates for boron accumulation. The boron contents of the other mushrooms varied and a pattern was observed where the boron content was found to be decreased as the distance from the mines increased.  相似文献

An examination was made of fluoride content in the mandibular first molars of the permanent teeth of the red fox Vulpes vulpes living in north-west (NW) Poland. The teeth were first dried to a constant weight at 105°C and then ashed. Fluorides were determined potentiometrically, and their concentrations were expressed in dry weight (DW) and ash. The results were used to perform an indirect estimation of fluoride pollution in the examined region of Poland. The collected specimens (n = 35) were classified into one of the three age categories: immature (im, 6–12 months), subadult (subad, from 12 to 20 months) and adult (ad, >20 months). The mean concentrations (geometric mean) of fluoride were similar in the im and subad groups (230 and 296 mg/kg DW and 297 and 385 mg/kg ash, respectively), and significantly smaller than in the ad group (504 and 654 mg/kg, respectively, in DW and ash). Basing on other reports that the ∼400 mg/kg DW concentration of fluoride in bones in the long-lived wild mammals generally reflects the geochemical background, it was found that 57% of the foxes in NW Poland exceeded this value by 9% to 170%. This indirectly reflects a moderate fluoride contamination in the tested region.  相似文献

To investigate the protection of selenium on hepatic mitochondrial functions, 90 7-day-old ducklings were randomly divided into three groups (groups I–III). Group I was used as a blank control. Group II was administered with aflatoxin B1 (0.1 mg/kg body weight). Group III was administered with aflatoxin B1 (0.1 mg/kg body weight) plus selenium (sodium selenite, 1 mg/kg body weight). All treatments were given once daily for 21 days. The results showed that the activities of hepatic mitochondrial complexes I–IV in group II ducklings significantly decreased when compared with group I (P < 0.01). Furthermore, the activities of hepatic mitochondrial complexes I–IV in group III significantly increased when compared with group II (P < 0.05). The hepatic mitochondrial respiratory control ratio (RCR) in group II ducklings significantly decreased when compared with group I (P < 0.01). In addition, the hepatic mitochondrial RCR in group III significantly increased when compared with group II (P < 0.05). These results revealed that the aflatoxin B1 significantly induced hepatic mitochondrial dysfunction in the activities of hepatic mitochondrial respiratory chain complexes I–IV and the RCR in ducklings. However, sodium selenite could significantly ameliorate the negative effect induced by aflatoxin B1.  相似文献

This study provides new information on the effects of various concentrations of the trace metals copper, lead, zinc, cadmium, and nickel on fertilization success of gametes from the scleractinian reef corals Goniastrea aspera,Goniastrea retiformis, Acropora tenuis, and Acropora longicyathus. The EC50 values (the concentration that reduces the fertilization rate by 50% relative to the control fertilization) for copper effects on fertilization success of these coral species range from 15 to 40 μg/L, which is similar to responses of other marine invertebrates. The EC50 values for lead were 1450–1800 μg/L for the Acropora species, and >2400 μg/L for G. aspera gametes, which indicates that lead was much less toxic than copper. Fertilization responses to zinc and nickel were variable and a significant reduction in fertilization success for A. tenuis gametes was found only at very high cadmium concentrations. The data from this study and other recent research clearly demonstrate that some trace metals impair the fertilization success of gametes from faviid and acroporiid reef corals. Trace metal inputs into reef waters should be limited and controlled to avoid potential interference with sexual reproductive processes of reef corals.  相似文献

We examined whether a nitric oxide scavenger, 2-(4-carboxyphenyl)-4,4,5,5-tetramethyl-imidazoline-l-oxyl-3-oxide (carboxy-PTIO), could offer neuroprotective actions and improve cerebral energy metabolism in a model of stroke. Sixty C57BL/10J mice were given either carboxy-PTIO (0.3–1.2 mg/kg) or vehicle intraperitoneally, 0.5 h after permanent middle cerebral artery occlusion, to evaluate the dose–response effects. An additional 70 animals received carboxy-PTIO (0.6 mg/kg) or vehicle, 2–6 h post-ischemia, for establishing the therapeutic window. Subgroups of animals, treated with carboxy-PTIO (0.6 mg/kg) or vehicle, were used for measuring cerebral bioenergetic metabolites (ATP, ADP, AMP, adenosine). Mice treated with carboxy-PTIO (0.6 mg/kg) had dose-specifically reduced brain infarction, significantly by 27–30% (P < 0.05), even when therapy was delayed up to 4 h after the ischemic insult (P < 0.05). Four hour post-ischemia, ATP depleted in the ischemic hemisphere (P < 0.05). Administration with carboxy-PTIO not only improved the recovery of ATP in the ischemic hemisphere (P < 0.05), but also enhanced adenosine content across the ischemic and non-ischemic hemispheres (P < 0.05). The neuroprotection of carboxy-PTIO may be partly attributed to the beneficial effects of improving cerebral energy metabolism.  相似文献

Three varieties of Kappaphycus alvarezii (Kapilaran, KAP), Tambalang purple (PUR), Adik-adik (AA), and one variety of Kappaphycus striatum var. sacol (green sacol (GS) were used to determine the efficiency of Acadian marine plant extract powder (AMPEP) as a culture medium at different concentrations, for the regeneration of young plants of Kappaphycus varieties, using tissue culture techniques for the production of seed stock for nursery and outplanting purposes for the commercial cultivation of carrageenophytes. A shorter duration for shoot formation was observed when the explant was treated with AMPEP + Plant Growth Regulator (PGR = PAA + zeatin at 1 mg L−1) compared to AMPEP when used singly. However, four explants responded differently to the number of days required for shoot formation. The KAP variety took 46 days to form shoots at 3–4 mg L−1 AMPEP + PGR; while PUR required 21 days at 3–5 mg L−1 AMPEP and 3–4 mg L−1 AMPEP + PGR. AA required 17 days at 3–5 mg L−1 AMPEP and AMPEP + PGR; and GS 25 days at 1 mg L−1 AMPEP + PGR. It was observed that among the four explants used, PUR and AA initiated shoot formation with the use of AMPEP only at higher concentrations (3–5 mg L−1) after a shorter period. Only PUR responded positively to ESS/2 for shoot initiation. The use of AMPEP alone and/or in combination with PGR as a culture medium in the propagation of microplantlets using tissue culture technique is highly encouraging.  相似文献

A total of 62 samples of commercial horse feed preparations (complementary feeds) containing cereal mixtures (“muesli” or mash, n = 39; pelleted feeds, n = 12), and plain horse feed grains (maize, n = 5; oats, n = 4; barley, n = 2) were purchased from 21 different producers/distributors from the German market. All samples were analysed by competitive enzyme immunoassays (EIA) for six different mycotoxins (mycotoxin groups). Analytes (detection limit, mean recovery) were: deoxynivalenol (DON, 10 μg/kg, 84%), zearalenone (ZEA, 5 μg/kg, 93%), fumonisin B1 (FB1, 2 μg/kg, 113%), T-2 toxin (T-2, 0.1 μg/kg, 71%), sum of T-2 + HT-2 toxin (T-2/HT2, 0.2 μg/kg, 97%), ochratoxin A (OTA, 0.2 μg/kg, 67%), and total ergot alkaloids (Generic Ergot Alkaloids “GEA”, 30 μg/kg, 132%). All samples contained DON (16–4,900 μg/kg, median 220 μg/kg), T-2/HT-2 (0.8–230 μg/kg, median 24 μg/kg), and T-2 (0.3–91 μg/kg, median 7 μg/kg). ZEA was detected in 98% of the samples (7–310 μg/kg, median 61 μg/kg). Most samples (94%) were positive for FB1 (2–2,200 μg/kg, median 27 μg/kg). Ergot alkaloids were detected in 61% of samples (28–1,200 μg/kg, median 97 μg/kg), OTA was found in 42% of samples (0.2–4 μg/kg, median 0.35 μg/kg). The results demonstrate that a co-contamination with several mycotoxins is very common in commercial horse feed from the German market. The toxin concentrations were in most cases well below the levels which are usually considered as critical or even toxic. The highest mycotoxin concentrations were mostly found in single-grain cereal feed: the maximum values for DON and FB1 were found in maize, the highest T-2/HT-2 toxin concentrations were found in oats, and the highest concentration of ergot alkaloids was found in barley. In composed feeds, no correlation between cereal composition and mycotoxin levels could be found.  相似文献

Monitoring levels of mineral concentrations in animal tissues is important for assessing the effect of contamination on animal health and safety of animal origin products in human nutrition. This study evaluated the levels of certain trace elements (copper, zinc, iron, and manganese) in cattle from an industrial and mining region in the north of Spain (Asturias). Samples of 312 animals aged 9–12 mo were collected from the whole region and analyzed after acid digestion using atomic absorption spectrophotometry (AAS). The geometric mean concentrations obtained per wet weight for the liver, kidney, muscle, and blood were 34.3 mg/kg, 4.04 mg/kg, 1.65 mg/kg, and 0.651 mg/L for copper, respectively, and 38.5 mg/kg, 23.0 mg/kg, 47.0 mg/kg, and 2.44 mg/L for zinc, respectively. For iron, blood was not analyzed and results were 96.2 mg/kg, 105 mg/kg, and 56.0 mg/kg for the liver, kidney and muscle, respectively. For manganese, only the liver and kidney were analyzed, and the results were 3.11 mg/kg and 1.19 mg/kg, respectively. There was no evidence of an accumulation of toxic levels of trace metals in Asturian cattle. Fungi are usually thought not to have a boron (B) requirement. It is not known if mycorrhizas take up B from low concentrations that are common in forest soils, as fungi might also immobilise B. Here, we studied the B concentrations in sporophores of 49 ectomycorrhizal and 10 saprotrophic fungi to assess whether B is translocated in mycelium or not. Additionally, P and metal concentrations were measured for comparison. Variability both within species and between species was very large, as the lowest measured B concentration was 0.01 mg kg−1 in Amanita muscaria, and the highest was 280 mg kg−1 in Paxillus involutus. There was no clear difference between saprotrophic and mycorrhizal fungi. The majority of species did not accumulate B at more than 0.01–3 mg kg−1, but there were some species that consistently had median concentration values higher than 5–6 mg kg−1 and much higher maximum values, particularly Paxillus involutus, Lactarius necator and several Russula species. Most species increased their B concentration in B fertilised plots, but there were exceptions, particularly Rozites caperatus and Lactarius camphoratus. Boron concentrations did not correlate with those of other elements. In conclusion, B is translocated in the mycelia of most of the studied species. The differences between species may be due to differences in their water use, or carbohydrates used in translocation. It remains to be studied, if B concentrations in mycorrhizas or mycelia in soil are in the same order of magnitude as the larger ones found here, and if this has any effects on the host plants.  相似文献

Laboratory bioassays were conducted to evaluate the effects of spiromesifen on gross fecundity, gross fertility, net fertility and population growth of two-spotted spider mite (Tetranychus urticae Koch) after treatments with four acaricide concentrations: 180 mg/l, i.e. maximum recommended concentration for use in glasshouses against spider mites, 18, 1.8, and 0.18 mg/l, i.e. concentration discriminative for eggs and immatures in preliminary studies which produced 100% mortality of these stages. Quiescent female deutonymphs were treated in the first assay, and young pre-ovipositing females in the second and third, in which exposure lasted 6 h and 20 h, respectively. In the first assay, the 180, 18, and 1.8 mg/l concentrations significantly reduced gross fecundity (61–85%), gross fertility (64–87%) and net fertility (85–94%) of the surviving females. In the second one, only the highest concentration achieved a significant statistical reduction in gross fecundity (52%), gross fertility (67%) and net fertility (84%). In the third assay, fecundity and fertility reduction under the two highest concentrations was 98–99% and 93–98%, whereas it was 50–74% under the 1.8 mg/l concentration, and statistically different from control values. In all three trials, treatments with 180, 18, and 1.8 mg/l concentrations significantly reduced the instantaneous rate of increase. In the third assay, treatments with the two highest concentrations caused population decline. Sublethal activity of the 0.18 mg/l concentration was not found in any assay to be statistically significant. Sublethal effects of spiromesifen and its impact on T. urticae management are discussed.  相似文献
