Abstract:Porina otagensis P. M. McCarthy (Trichotheliaceae) is described from semi-aquatic rocks near Dunedin in the South Island of New Zealand. It has perithecia with a thin, applanate to convex, spreading involucrellum, rather short but broad, 7-septate ascospores that lack a gelatinous sheath, and comparatively broad conidia.  相似文献

Bacidia neosquamulosaAptroot & van Herk, a new corticolous lichen species, is described from the Netherlands, where it seems to be rapidly spreading and where it is considered to be a neophytic species. It is also reported from Belgium and Great Britain. It resembles corticolous morphs of the rather variableB. arnoldiana, but differs from this and other species by the longer, conspicuously septate, filiform, curved, macroconidia, the longer ascospores and the squamulose-isidiate thallus.  相似文献

Three new taxa are described: Dolyella hawaiiensis var. clavata var. nov., Cottoniella triseriata sp. nov., and Taenioma dotyi sp. nov. A modified characterization of the genus Cottoniella is given, and certain critical distinctions between the species are presented. Taenioma dotyi is distinctive in the increased width of the determinate branches resulting from division of the flanking cells.  相似文献

在进行《中国地衣志》的编写中,作者从采自我国新疆阿尔泰山哈纳斯湖附近的地衣标本中发现了北极小腊肠衣[Brodoaoroarctica(Krog)Goward](茶渍目,子囊菌门)。小腊肠衣属(BrodoaGoward)是中国新记录属,因而,也是中国地衣区系中已知的第234个属。本文对于该属、种在形态学、结构学、化学及地理分布等方面进行了描述与讨论。对于它和邻近属的区别也做了简要的对比。  相似文献

Bisporangiate lycopsid fructifications are described from petrifaction material of Pottsville (lower Pennsylvanian) age collected in eastern Kentucky. The largest specimen of Lepidostrobus schopfii sp. n. is 8.0 cm long and approximately 1.3 cm in diam; it is not complete at either apex or base. Basal megasporangia, each containing a variable number (12-29) of megaspores, and apical microsporangia are adaxially positioned on pedicels bearing reduced lateral laminae. Features of the cone axis and pattern of vascularization are described. Of particular interest is the occurrence of well-preserved endosporic megagametophytes showing archegonia and rhizoids. The new species is compared with other structurally preserved bisporangiate lycopsid fructifications of equivalent age.  相似文献

Two new species of the genus Tolypella (Characeae)–T. boldii Sawa sp. nov. and T. canadensis Sawa sp. nov.–were discovered in Texas, U.S.A., and Ontario, Canada, respectively. The species are recognized as additional members to the section Acutifolia because of the small and conical branchlet end cell and the oospore with a single basal impression. However, they differ from all the members previously described in the genus by the frequent and unique development of a terminal antheridium at the fertile branchlet node. A new and unexpected chromosome number of n = 8 for the genus was determined in both species, which, renders additional support to the conclusion that they represent a new taxonomic group in the section. The plants are described in detail in order to clarify some important morphological features which have been loosely interpreted by previous workers. Relationships between the new species and other members of the section are analyzed.  相似文献

A new fossil genus and species, Onychopteryx simpsoni, is described for a proximal end of a tarsometatarsus from the lower Eocene (Casamayor Formation) of Argentina. Onychopteryx is considered most closely related to the Opisthocomidae but is sufficiently distinct to be placed in its own family, the Onychopterygidae. Onychopteryx indicates that the Opisthocomiformes had differentiated by the early Eocene and were present in South America at that time.  相似文献
