The diversity of airborne pollen grains in El-Hadjar town (northeast Algeria) was measured for 1 year, from July 1, 2012 to June 30, 2013, by means of the gravimetric method using Durham apparatus. The total number of pollen grains/cm2 was calculated from slides that were changed daily. This aerobiological study documented the air concentration of pollen from 50 taxa, where 28 belonged to arboreal and 22 to non-arboreal taxa. The percentage of pollen from arboreal and non-arboreal taxa was 56 and 44 %, respectively. From the list, the major collected taxa causing allergy in humans dominant in the Mediterranean area were Cupressaceae (14.86 %), Olea sp. (7.18 %), Casuarina sp. (6.44 %), and Fraxinus sp. (3.83 %) among arboreal plants, whereas for the non-arboreal plants Poaceae (23.20 %), Mercurialis sp. (12.58 %), Plantago sp. (1.69 %), Urticaceae (0.95 %), and Chenopodiaceae (0.85 %). The highest pollen counts occurred in the period from February to April. The pollen calendar for the region presented in this paper may be a useful tool for allergologists and botanical awareness.  相似文献

The aim of this study was to investigate aerobiological dynamics of pollen in the Mediterranean part of Croatia in the air of the city of Split. Pollen monitoring during the period from 2005 to 2013 was performed using a Hirst volumetric trap. Among the identified pollen of 50 taxa, 21 were allergenic. The average annual pollen index was 33,513. Three pollination seasons were established: early winter season dominated by tree pollen, spring–summer season dominated by herbaceous plants and summer–autumn season with lower amounts of Parietaria and Cupressaceae pollen. According to the abundance, the main taxa were: Cupressaceae, Parietaria/Urtica, Pinus, Quercus, Olea, Carpinus/Ostrya, Poaceae, Platanus and Ambrosia. The annual pollen index together with the daily maximum concentrations showed an upward trend for selected taxa during the study period. The highest monthly pollen index and the highest biodiversity were recorded in April and the lowest during the late autumn and winter months. The pollen calendar created for the city of Split confirmed Mediterranean features of the pollen spectrum. The longest pollen seasons were recorded for Cupressaceae, Parietaria/Urtica and Poaceae pollen types. The correlations between pollen concentrations and meteorological parameters were analyzed. The correlations between pollen concentrations and temperature were positive, while the humidity and the precipitation mostly showed negative influence.  相似文献

Modern pollen spectra can improve the interpretation of fossil pollen records used to reconstruct past vegetation, climate and human impacts. It is important, therefore, to carefully examine the relationships between modern pollen spectra, vegetation, climate and human activity. Here, we present the results of an analysis of the pollen spectra of 143 surface pollen samples from farmland, wasteland, desert, steppe/meadow, forest and river valley along a transect from Lanzhou to Urumqi, in northwestern China. The modern pollen assemblages are mainly composed of Amaranthaceae, Artemisia, Poaceae, Asteraceae, Ephedra and Nitraria. The results indicate that in general the surface pollen assemblages of different vegetation types reliably represent the modern vegetation in terms of the composition of the main taxa and the dominant types. Farmland is dominated by cereal-type (≥?15%) and Amaranthaceae (≥?20%), while the pollen assemblages of wasteland (i.e. the vegetation immediately surrounding farmland) are mainly composed of Amaranthaceae (≥?25%), Artemisia (≥?20%), Poaceae (≥?10%), Asteraceae (≥?5%) and Cyperaceae (≥?5%). Amaranthaceae (≥?45%) and Ephedra (≥?10%) are the most important taxa in desert, and Cyperaceae (≥?35%) and Thalictrum (≥?2%) are the dominant pollen types in steppe/meadow. Forest and river valley samples are characterized by high frequencies of Picea (≥?10%) and Cyperaceae (≥?20%). Both constrained and partial canonical ordination techniques (RDA and partial RDA) of the main pollen types and environmental variables show that the modern pollen spectra are primarily controlled by mean annual precipitation (MAP). Cyperaceae, Thalictrum and Brassicaceae are positively correlated with MAP and negatively correlated with mean July temperature (TJuly), while the representation of certain other types, such as Amaranthaceae, Ephedra and Nitraria, is negatively correlated with MAP and positively correlated with TJuly. The Human Influence Index (HII) is significantly correlated with cereal-type pollen, and it can also differentiate human-influenced and natural vegetation. Our results provide a basis for improving the interpretation of fossil pollen records from arid northwestern China and similar regions.  相似文献

Pollen and spores have been found as major biological sources of morbidity among individuals sensitive to respiratory disorders. The aim of the present study was to analyse the deposition rate of atmospheric pollen and fern spores at selected sites in Benue and Plateau states of the North-Central Nigeria between July 2015 and June 2016. This was accomplished by: (1) determining the pollen and fern spore content of each monitoring station; (2) establishing the relationship between total pollen count and meteorological parameters; and (3) comparing the recovered airborne pollen spectra with identified plants in the surrounding vegetation types of the sampling sites. The collection of atmospheric pollen was done using a modified Tauber sampler and plants in the surrounding environment of the sampling sites were enumerated. The residual solution was collected monthly and acetolysed, after which slide preparation and microscopy of the treated residue were done. Meteorological data were obtained from the Nigerian Meteorological Agency, Lagos. The results obtained reveal seasonal distribution patterns of various airborne pollen grains in the study locations. The most abundant pollen types recovered in Plateau State were produced by Syzygium guineense, Tridax procumbens, Alchornea sp., Terminalia sp., Poaceae and Amaranthaceae. Pollen types of Casuarina equisetifolia, Syzygium guineense, Tridax procumbens, Poaceae and Cyperaceae were preponderant in Benue State. Pteris sp., Nephrolepis sp. and a trilete fern spore were also represented in this study. The recovered airborne pollen spectra correspond favourably with some identified plants in the study locations. There was no significant correlation between monthly total pollen count and mean monthly values of meteorological parameters in Benue State. Air temperature and wind speed correlated significantly with monthly total pollen count in Plateau State. It is suggested that the allergenic effect of these abundant pollen types on humans should be further examined.  相似文献

With a view to obtaining fuller information on airborne pollen content in the city of Havana, pollen sampling was carried out using a volumetric capture method, for the first time in Cuba. The study was conducted during 2 years (2011 and 2015). An annual pollen integral of 3414 grains was registered during the first year of study, whereas 5120 grains were observed along the 2015. Monthly maximum concentrations were recorded during April, June and July with total values close to 800 pollen grains. Of the 45 pollen types identified, Cecropia (38% of the total pollen identified in both years), Poaceae (18%), Urera type (9%) and Casuarina (6%) were particularly abundant. Although the main pollen types differed in terms of intradiurnal distribution, the highest concentrations were in all cases recorded between 0900 and 1300 hours. Maximum temperature was the variable most influencing airborne pollen counts in the air, with the exception of Casuarina. This paper sought to establish a methodological basis for the further development of aerobiological research in Cuba, thus helping to enhance the prevention and diagnosis of pollen allergies in the affected island population.  相似文献

In this study, the seasonally averaged intradiurnal patterns of four different pollen types (Fraxinus, Betula, Poaceae and Artemisia) and the role of traffic volume, air pollution and selected weather parameters were investigated. Measurements were carried out with a 7-day recording volumetric spore trap (Hirst type) near a congested city motorway (the A 100) in Berlin, Germany, in 2012, 2013 and partly 2011. Both Poaceae and Artemisia pollen showed distinct patterns which were similar across the years. The main period of grass pollen concentrations in the air was from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. with peaks about midday or in the afternoon. Mugwort pollen mainly occurred between 6 a.m. and 2 p.m. with a clear maximum from 8 to 10 a.m. With regard to Fraxinus and Betula pollen, the patterns were not as clear and showed differences throughout the years. The intradiurnal patterns of traffic volume and pollen load, mainly of Poaceae in the afternoon and Artemisia in the morning, were partly coincident. The combination of both a high pollen count and air pollution, due to exhaust emissions, represents a special health threat which could result in a double burden for allergy sufferers. In the case of the daily means of Betula and Poaceae, relative humidity had a significantly negative effect on pollen concentrations on the same and/or next day/s, sunshine duration (Poaceae) and air temperature (Artemisia) a positive one.  相似文献

Pollen grains have been a major focus of research mostly in temperate regions due to their effects on human health, especially allergies and asthma. The current study investigates a subtropical region characterized by a Mediterranean climate where Sharav conditions are experienced during the spring and autumn. The aim of the current study was to investigate whether Sharav conditions impacted airborne pollen concentrations of allergenic Amaranthaceae, Poaceae, Morus, Pinus, and Quercus more than standard Warm days during the main pollen seasons in the years 2010–2014 in Tel Aviv and Jerusalem (Israel). Slight variation was observed between the main pollen seasons in Tel Aviv compared to Jerusalem resulting from differences in temperature and relative humidity percentages. Additionally, more Sharav conditions occurred in Jerusalem than in Tel Aviv during the study period. The highest pollen concentrations occurred during Sharav days for Amaranthaceae, Poaceae, and Pinus but not for Morus and Quercus. Therefore, individuals who are allergic to Amaranthaceae, Poaceae, and Pinus pollen, and exposed to high pollen concentrations during Sharav days, might suffer more allergy symptoms than on Warm days.  相似文献

A 1-year study was conducted, with the aim to investigate the airborne allergens around the Dead Sea (DS), identify and quantify airborne pollen and spores in the DS region, and determine the different sensitization prevalence among various population groups to these aeroallergens. According to results, we also aimed to define “safe seasons” when there are no or only few aeroallergens in the atmosphere that surrounds the Dead Sea. A Rotorod and a Hirst trap were used for continuous monitoring of pollen and spores which were then identified. Sensitization to aeroallergens was assessed by skin prick tests (SPT) in three groups of allergic residents: foreign tourists, Israeli tourists, and local workers from the hotel industry. Air around the DS is by no means free of aeroallergens, 50 pollen and 43 mold types were identified. Pollen was from native plants, imported ornamentals, and others transported by winds from long distances. Overall pollen concentrations were lower around the Dead Sea than in the Tel Aviv region, but in certain months, they were higher around the DS. Marked seasonal variations in pollen and spore dispersal were observed. By SPT, hypersensitivity to Chenopodiaceae, Amaranthaceae, Cupressus, Solidago, Poaceae, Olea, Artemisia as well as molds such as Alternaria and Aspergillus, was found. As assessed by SPT, some of tourists and permanent residents are allergic to pollen, molds, and house dust mites. The presented study enables one to denote “safe” seasons when the concentration of airborne allergens is below “allergenic risk”: June–August and November–February. These seasons are the most suitable for allergic medical tourists.  相似文献

Conventional wisdom states Cannabis sativa originated in Asia and its dispersal to Europe depended upon human transport. Various Neolithic or Bronze age groups have been named as pioneer cultivators. These theses were tested by examining fossil pollen studies (FPSs), obtained from the European Pollen Database. Many FPSs report Cannabis or Humulus (C/H) with collective names (e.g. Cannabis/Humulus or Cannabaceae). To dissect these aggregate data, we used ecological proxies to differentiate C/H pollen, as follows: unknown C/H pollen that appeared in a pollen assemblage suggestive of steppe (Poaceae, Artemisia, Chenopodiaceae) we interpreted as wild-type Cannabis. C/H pollen in a mesophytic forest assemblage (Alnus, Salix, Populus) we interpreted as Humulus. C/H pollen curves that upsurged and appeared de novo alongside crop pollen grains we interpreted as cultivated hemp. FPSs were mapped and compared to the territories of archaeological cultures. We analysed 479 FPSs from the Holocene/Late Glacial, plus 36 FPSs from older strata. The results showed C/H pollen consistent with wild-type C. sativa in steppe and dry tundra landscapes throughout Europe during the early Holocene, Late Glacial, and previous glaciations. During the warm and wet Holocene Climactic Optimum, forests replaced steppe, and Humulus dominated. Cannabis retreated to steppe refugia. C/H pollen consistent with cultivated hemp first appeared in the Pontic-Caspian steppe refugium. GIS mapping linked cultivation with the Copper age Varna/Gumelni?a culture, and the Bronze age Yamnaya and Terramara cultures. An Iron age steppe culture, the Scythians, likely introduced hemp cultivation to Celtic and Proto-Slavic cultures.  相似文献

Casuarina is a widely cultivated plantation tree species in coastal India, primarily due to its fast growth, high productivity and suitable for pulp and paper production. However, genetic studies of Casuarina have been hindered by lack of genomic resources and genetic markers. Knowledge of the genetic diversity and population structure of Casuarina germplasms will provide the basis for utilizing and improving resource in the breeding program. Keeping this in view, in the present study, we have identified a total of 11,503 simple sequence repeat (SSR) makers from 86,415 expressed sequence tags (ESTs) of Casuarina equisetifolia and C. junghuhniana after redundancy elimination. Dinucleotide repeats were the most abundant accounting for 72.5 % of all microsatellites, followed by trimer (23.4 %), hexamer (1.7 %), tetramer (1.5 %), and very few pentamer (0.6 %) repeats. Of these, 50 markers were used to estimate genetic diversity and population structure among 96 accessions of C. cunninghamiana and C. junghuhniana. EST-SSR markers revealed high level of polymorphism, detecting a total of 829 alleles with an average of 17 alleles per locus. Polymorphic information content (PIC) values ranged from 0.32 to 0.93, with an average of 0.78 per locus. The average observed (H o ) and expected heterozygosity (H e ) obtained was high and fairly similar in C. cunninghamiana and C. junghuhniana, thereby suggesting highly heterogeneous nature of Casuarina. Population structure using a Bayesian model-based clustering approach identified clear delineation between C. cunninghamiana and C junghuhniana. Further, these markers were also evaluated in four species of Casuarina confirming high rate of cross-species transferability. The results of this study can provide valuable insights for genetic and genomic research in Casuarina.  相似文献

Pollen-related allergic diseases are a growing health problem. Thus, information on prevalence of airborne pollen may serve as guide for clinicians to accurately manage allergic diseases. In this study, an aeropalynological survey was conducted from November 2013 to October 2014 in Manila, Philippines, to determine the seasonal distribution of the most prevalent airborne pollen and correlate the influence of meteorological factors on their daily concentrations. A volumetric pollen trap was placed on a rooftop, 21 m above ground level. A total of 5677 pollen grains from 18 pollen types were identified, of which Urticaceae, Cannabaceae, Poaceae and Moraceae were the most prevalent. Other pollen types observed that represented 1 % of the total pollen concentration, in descending order, were Terminalia catappa, Myrtaceae, Muntingia calabura, Verbenaceae, Amaranthaceae, Cyperaceae, Caricaceae and Mimosa sp. Of the total airborne pollen, 87 % were obtained during the dry season (November–May). Pollen concentrations peaked (55 %) during the summer months (March–May), indicating a positive correlation (p < 0.01) between pollen concentration and temperature (maximum and mean). Alternatively, only 13 % of the pollen concentrations were obtained during the wet season (June–October). It was observed that pollen concentrations were negatively correlated (p < 0.01) with rainfall and humidity. As the pollen collection was done for one sampling year, only an approximation of the daily concentration of the pollen types was identified and correlated with meteorological factors. Further data collection is required to generate an accurate pollen calendar for use in allergy studies.  相似文献

Chrysoperla externa (Hagen) larvae prey on pest insects and mites in agroecosystems, and adults mainly feed on pollen, nectar, and honeydew. Therefore, preserving this lacewing in crop systems depends on having plants that provide these resources. The objectives of this research were to identify pollen grains ingested by Ch. externa adults collected in a diversified organic agroecosystem and to evaluate whether there is a difference in the amount of ingested pollen grains between males and females. The adults of Ch. externa were collected in four different crops during 13 months in Seropédica, state of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, using a collecting net. The adults were killed and underwent acetolysis, in order to recover the pollen in the gut. A total of 37,441 pollen grains from 19 Angiospermae families were found, besides 16 Pteridophyte spores. Among the recognized pollen grains, those of Poaceae were the majority, both in frequency of occurrence (87.5%) and in quantity (33496), and were found and recovered in every month of collection. Females and males ingested, respectively, 71.9 and 28.1% of the total number of Angiospermae pollen grains consumed by both sexes. The highest number of Poaceae pollens was obtained from the females (72.1% of the total number of Poaceae pollen, recovered from females + males). Taken as a whole, this study showed that adults of Ch. externa find possibilities to maintain throughout the year, in different crops, but the main source of pollen to males and females was Poaceae plants.  相似文献

Simple sequence repeat (SSR) markers are very useful for genetic applications in plants, but SSR resource for the important tree genus Casuarina L. ex Adans. is still limited. In this study, we report a novel set of 223 SSR markers in Casuarina developed from expressed sequence tag (EST) resource of GenBank. The 223 EST-SSR markers were polymorphic among 10 unrelated individuals of C. equisetifolia L. Johnson, with the number of alleles per locus (Na), observed heterozygosity (Ho), expected heterozygosity (He), and polymorphic information content (PIC) averaging at 5.5, 0.72, 0.86, and 0.63, respectively. The rates of cross-species transferability ranged from 96.9% (C. glauca Sieber ex Sprengel) through 97.8% (C. cunninghamiana Miquel) to 99.1% (C. junghuhniana Miquel). Fifty-five C. equisetifolia clones widely planted in China were successfully genotyped with a subset of 20 EST-SSRs. These newly developed markers will have a great potential for genetic and breeding applications in Casuarina species and related taxa.  相似文献

In this study, a Tauber pollen trap was used in the urban area of Shijiazhuang to monitor continuously the outdoor air pollen from 2007 to 2011. The trap was emptied at regular intervals (typically 15 days). The results show that airborne pollen assemblages are generally similar each year among 2007–2011 and are responsive to the flowering times of plants, being dominated by pollen from woody plants in the spring and by pollen from herbaceous plants in summer and autumn. Two peak pollen influx periods, especially for the main allergenic pollen taxa, are seen, one between early March to early June and a second between late August to early October. During the four seasons, the main pollen taxa are Juglans, Artemisia, Platanus, Populus, Chenopodiaceae, Urtica + Humulus, Rosaceae, Pinus, Poaceae, Cereals, Quercus, and Betula, and all taxa other than Rosaceae were confirmed by relevant studies to be allergenic pollen taxa. RDA analysis of pollen influx and meteorological factors shows that in spring, temperature and humidity have significant effects on the pollen influx of woody plants; in summer, humidity and precipitation have significant negative effects on pollen influx of herbaceous plants; in autumn, temperature, water vapor pressure, and precipitation have a significant positive influence on herbaceous pollen influx; in winter, there were no significant correlations between airborne pollen influx and meteorological factors. The results reveal the dispersion patterns of airborne pollen and provide an important reference to appropriate construction of urban green systems and the reliable reduction in regional pollinosis.  相似文献

The interplay between the invasion of alien plant species and re-colonization of native plant species is important for conservation. Sandy coastal plains (called restinga in Brazil) were used as a model system to explore the abiotic barriers that potentially limit the initial establishment of alien and native woody plants in invaded and non-invaded areas. The study tested the influence of light availability, soil type and litter layer on recruitment of a wind-dispersed alien tree (Casuarina equisetifolia) and two bird-dispersed native shrubs under a Casuarina stand and in the preserved restinga. The effect of soil type and the physical and allelopathic effects of Casuarina litter on seedling emergence of the three species were also evaluated under greenhouse conditions. Low dispersal associated with low seedling emergence and zero survival of young plants (mainly due to microhabitat conditions) apparently prevents the spread of Casuarina in the preserved restinga. The main cause of low recruitment of native species in the Casuarina stand was the physical barrier of the litter. However, if seeds overcome this physical barrier, the presence of litter improves seedling emergence and survival of young plants, mainly because the litter increases soil moisture. Sowing seeds below litter and planting young plants of native shrubs on litter can improve the re-colonization of native plants in invaded areas. In conclusion, Casuarina invasion on sandy coastal plains is strongly limited by abiotic barriers, but anthropogenic disturbances are altering the key processes that naturally make the restinga resistant to invasion.  相似文献

Pollen analyses of spider web samples, collected from the recently planted Tectona grandis (T. grandis, teak)-dominated tropical deciduous forest of Bhulsidih Village, Korba District (Chhattisgarh, central India), shed light on the relationship between the extant vegetation and pollen rain. The study revealed the dominance of pollen of herbs and trees, whereas shrubs, fern spores and algal remains are meagre. Among the tree taxa, Sapotaceae, Syzygium, Holoptelea, Lannea coromandelica, Shorea robusta and Grewia are dominating with moderate to low and intermittent presence of Madhuca indica, Terminalia, Mitragyna, Schleichera, Anacardiaceae, Diospyros, Emblica officinalis and Flacourtia. However, the rest of the forest constituents are either not represented at all despite their presence in the floristics, which could be attributed to their low pollen productivity owing to entomophily as well as their poor pollen preservation pattern. On the other hand, the ground vegetation is represented by the very high frequency of grasses (Poaceae) along with Tubuliflorae, Chenopodiaceae/Amaranthaceae and Cerealia, however, Artemisia, Xanthium, Malvaceae, Caryophyllaceae and Justicia in moderate to lower values. Ferns, which occur abundantly along the adjoining stream banks, are marked by the sporadic retrieval of trilete spores that could be ascribed to the prevailing damp condition around the sampling provenance. The study, in addition to understanding the pollen–vegetation relationship, could also be helpful in aerobiological study, especially in assessing the allergenicity of various pollen grains/spores in the area of investigation, causing bronchial asthma, hay fever (allergic rhinitis/pollinosis), naso-bronchial allergy and other respiratory disorders along with conjunctivitis, contact dermatitis, eczema, food allergies and other health disorders.  相似文献

Identification of pollen grains of cultivated plants is essential in archaeobotanical studies. In this study, we investigated the pollen morphology of 30 species which are representatives of most of the crop plants in southern China, using a light microscope. Our results show that the pollen grains of these species or genera can generally be identified by their size, aperture(s) and exine sculpture. We found that: (1) some cultivated cereals can be distinguished from wild species of Poaceae according to their size frequency combined with their morphological features; (2) the lengths of the equatorial diameter (E), polar axis (P) and the greatest dimension of the lumina (the size of the network sculpturing) of the exine reticulum may be diagnostic features to distinguish some brassicaceous vegetables. There are significant differences between the E and P values among Brassica campestris (B. rapa, oilseed rape, Chinese cabbage), B. alboglabra (B. oleracea var. alboglabra, gai lan, Chinese kale), B. parachinensis (B. rapa var. parachinensis, choy sum, Chinese flowering cabbage) and B. chinensis (B. rapa ssp. chinensis, pak choi), but moderate differences in the longer axis length of the reticulum lumina, which provide potential for identifying species on the basis of pollen grains. We compared the P values and the longer axis length of the lumina of modern specimens of Brassicaceae pollen grains with those of fossil pollen extracted from the Ming-Qing cultural layer in the Fuqikou site at Chongqing, China, and found that the fossil pollen grains of Brassicaceae probably represent vegetable plants related to B. parachinensis. Moreover, we measured the diameters of rice pollen grains from modern paddy fields to assess the pollen size frequency and found that the size range from ~?34 to 38 µm is closely associated with rice pollen in southern China, which can be used to detect pollen signals of human activities in archaeobotanical investigations.  相似文献

Moss polsters, pollen traps and lake surface sediment samples are commonly used as climate calibration data or as modern analogues for reconstructing vegetation from fossil profiles, but the differences in pollen content between these media have received little attention. This study aims to analyse how the three media differ in reflecting individual vegetation types and spatial differences in vegetation. 119 modern samples (64 moss polsters, 37 lake surface sediment samples and 18 pollen traps from which a collection was made annually) were taken from northern Fennoscandia and the Kola Peninsula as a broad transect crossing the northernmost forest limits of Betula pubescens ssp. czerepanovii (mountain birch), Pinus sylvestris (Scots pine) and Picea abies (Norway spruce). The pollen assemblages from these samples were compared with the surrounding vegetation visually and via PCA (principle components analysis) and cluster analysis. Both comparisons allow a correct distinction between pollen assemblages of arctic/alpine heath, mountain birch dominated areas, and boreal coniferous forests. The differences between the vegetation zones are stronger than the differences between the sampling media. Nevertheless, lake sediment samples from the mountain birch woodland zone tend to overestimate pine and underestimate birch. Pollen traps are biased towards lower tree pollen percentages and higher values of shrubs, herbs and Cyperaceae. This bias is especially strong in traps that have missing years in the data. Irrespective of the vegetation zone, pollen traps tend to have lower Pinus pollen percentages than in the adjacent moss polsters.  相似文献

Seventy-three species from 17 genera of Cyperaceae were studied with the aim of identifying and confirming those species with Kranz anatomy. Among the species studied, 36 exhibited Kranz anatomy; 37 did not. Of the four types of Kranz anatomy recognized in Cyperaceae, three were encountered: the chlorocyperoid type in the genera Cyperus, Kyllinga, Lipocarpha, Pycreus, and Remirea; the fimbristyloid type in Abildgaardia, Bulbostylis, and Fimbristylis; and the rhynchosporoid type in Rhynchospora. Non-Kranz anatomy was confirmed in species of the following genera: Becquerelia, Calyptrocarya, Cyperus, Diplacrum, Eleocharis, Fuirena, Hypolytrum, Pleurostachys, Rhynchospora, and Scleria. The anatomical data obtained corroborate earlier studies of species of Cyperaceae as to the presence of Kranz anatomy and the anatomical types in several species and the “Kranzkette” pattern in Cyperus ligularis and Cyperus pohlli.  相似文献

This study reports on the flowering phenology of 12 Poaceae species in different types of plant cover (scrub, riverbank and pasture), with a view to creating a phenological calendar for the major species contributing most to airborne pollen concentrations. The study has been carried out from March to June between 2000 and 2013. Seventeen sampling sites in the study area were selected by accessibility, and predominantly, grasses grow in different land covers for phenological monitoring. Airborne pollen was collected using a Hirst-type volumetric spore trap. Results showed that longer phenological ranges were recorded in the wettest year and shorter ranges in the driest year. Over the study period, certain species displayed changes in the timing of flowering phenology. In pastureland and scrubland, a slight phenological delay over the study period has been recorded. In pastureland, some species—i.e., Bromus madritensis, B. diandrus and B. hordeaceus, Hordeum leporinum and Stipa capensis—displayed a delay in the timing of phenophases over the study period, including B. hordeaceus and B. madritensis on riverbank. Dactylis glomerata and Trisetaria panicea in scrub have been the only species with a clear advance; B. diandrus and B. madritensis a clear flowering delay. Lolium rigidum, Dactylis glomerata, Aegilops geniculata, in scrub, riverbank and pasture, and Arrhenatherum album, only in scrub, full flowering coincided with pollen peak in some populations during several years.  相似文献
