该文讨论我国光肩星天牛Anoplophoraglabrlpennis(Motschulsky)类群的外部形态和外生殖器的主要鉴别特征,寄主、地理分布、起源及其演化。光肩星天牛主要分布在山西吕梁山、太行山以东的广大平原地区,寄主广泛,主要有榆、复叶槭、杨、柳、五角枫等。黄斑星天牛主要分布在秦岭以北,山西吕粱山太行山以西的陕甘宁地区,向东已扩展到河南、河北;主要为害杨树,也为害柳、榆。四川星天牛主要分布于秦岭以南的西部地区,北限在陕西太白山到甘肃天水一带;主要为害柳。在秦岭以北到天水之间是黄斑星天牛和四川星天牛的重叠分布区,山西太行山两侧南北走向的狭长地带是光肩星天牛和黄肩星天牛重叠分布区,两个狭长地带交会处,大约在秦岭以北的陕西和(或)山西境内有三个种的重叠分布区域.在云、贵、川地区广泛分布着四川星天牛,至今还没有发现光肩星天牛、黄斑星天牛和蓝角星天牛,后者应该是一个值得怀疑的种。  相似文献

全世界记录的长小蠹(鞘翅目:长小蠹科)有1 500余种,其分类地位一直存在争议。本研究通过分子基因信息探讨长小蠹科昆虫的分子系统进化关系,测定了中对长小蠹Euplatypus parallelus(Fabricius)、希氏长小蠹E. hintzi Schaufuss、散对长小蠹E. solutus Schedl、杯长小蠹Dinoplatypus cupulatus Chapuis、小杯长小蠹D. cupulatulus Schedl、芦苇黄截尾长小蠹D. calamus Blandford、五棘长小蠹Diapus quinquespinatus Chapuis、锥长小蠹Treptoplatypus solidus Walk、栎长小蠹Platypus quercivorus Murayama和东亚长小蠹P. lewisi Blandford等长小蠹科5属10种mtDNA COⅠ基因部分序列(549 bp);采用MEGA3.1分析了序列组成及遗传距离,应用PAUP4.0分别构建了长小蠹NJ,MP和ML等3种分子系统树,同时结合长小蠹的形态分类,探讨10 种长小蠹及其所在属的系统进化。结果表明:长小蠹科昆虫在碱基使用频率上有很大的偏向性;长小蠹科与外群小蠹科松瘤小蠹Orthotomicus erosus Wollaston之间的遗传距离(0.288~0.338)远大于科内种间距离(0~0.226);Diapus属分化最早,Euplatypus属独成一支,Treptohlatypus, Dinoplatypus和Platypus 3属分化为一支。长小蠹科分子系统进化研究结果与Wood(1993)新修订的分类系统基本一致,说明长小蠹科的分类系统更趋于合理。  相似文献

Four sympatric species of Fundulus (F. heteroclitus, F. majalis,F. diaphanus, and F. luciae) are distributed along tidal heightand salinity gradients such that F. heteroclitus co-occurs witheach species, while the remaining species rarely occur together.Feeding habitats of all the species are similar, and food hasbeen shown to limit population size of F. heteroclitus. Thispaper examines whether competition is an important structuringforce within this guild by addressing two questions: 1) is thespatial separation exhibited by three of the species due tophysiological barriers or due to competitive exlusion? and 2)when F. heteroclitus occurs with other Fundulus species doescompetition for resources take place? Laboratory studies indicate that all four species are tolerantof a wide range of environmental conditions; available evidencesuggests that physiological barriers are an unlikely explanationfor spatial segregation among some members of this guild. Competitiveexclusion seems a likely alternate explanation, but is supportedonly by studies of diet overlap. Similarly, only inference fromdiet overlap is available to answer the second question. A fieldexperiment is presented here in which F. heteroclitus and F.majalis were placed in enclosures separately and together. Competitionbetween these species appears to be important, and similar fieldexperiments are recommended to investigate competitive interactionsamong other species pairs within the genus  相似文献

The ontogenetic development of the tendril and its associatedorgans is investigated in 17 species of Passiflora. The shootapex shows a single tunica layer though the second layer simulatestunica. The cytohistological zonation is not a constant feature.In P. caerulea Linn., it is distinct at leaf initiation butin P. pruinosa Mast., P. vespertilio Linn., and P. watsonianaMast., it is indistinct. The main axillary bud differentiatesfrom the peripheral meristem of the shoot apex. The differentiationof this bud into floral and tendril menstems occurs at a nodeimmediately below the shoot apex in P. minima Blanco. and Pracemosa Brot. In other species this differentiation generallyoccurs at the lower nodes. The floral meristem is initiatedas an accessory bud from this bud, thus forming a bud complex.The residuum of the bud complex develops as a tendril. The thirdaccessory bud which does not originate from this bud complex,develops into a vegetative branch. The fundamental nature ofthe vascular relationship between the flower, tendril, accessorybud, subtending leaf, and the axis is similar in most of theinvestigated species.  相似文献

The hermaphroditic aquatic heterobranch Valvata utahensis isa federally endangered snail endemic to the Snake River corridorin southern Idaho, USA. Although an appreciable understandingof molluscan taxonomic diversity has been established withinthis ecosystem, little is currently known about the ecologyand life history of many individual species (V. utahensis included).In this study, we used a combined analysis of mitochondrialand nuclear genetic variation within V. utahensis to infer thepredominant mode of reproduction (selfing vs outcrossing) withinnatural populations of this species. Results of this analysisindicated that outcrossing is likely a common reproductive strategy.We discuss our results in the context of conservation and managementefforts for this endangered species. Furthermore, in the courseof performing our investigations, we frequently collected specimensthat were tentatively identified as V. humeralis. Given thatlittle genetic work has previously been performed within thegenus Valvata, we compared genetic data from V. utahensis withdata from V. humeralis to determine whether molecular data supportedmorphological evidence that these two taxa are distinct evolutionaryentities. Results of our analyses clearly revealed strong patternsof genetic differentiation between these two taxa and confirmedthe presence of two sympatric Valvata species within the SnakeRiver system. Observations and experiments on several species of Musaceaein West Java and Central Sumatra showed that the species withpendent inflorescences are pollinated by macroglossine bats,principally by the long-tongued fruit bats, Macroglossus minimusand Eonycteris spelaea. Among the species with an erect inflorescenceM. velutina proves to be self pollinating, while M. salaccensishas sunbirds (Nectariniidae) and tree shrews (Tupaia) as pollinators.A discussion on pollination in this family is presented in thispaper.  相似文献

Genetic Relationships within Tripsacum as Detected by RAPD Variation   总被引:3,自引:0,他引:3  
Genetic diversity within species of Tripsacum was surveyed basedon randomly amplified polymorphic DNA (RAPD) variation, as detectedwith the polymerase chain reaction (PCR). Thirteen of the 16Tripsacum species, including both temperate and tropical species,were included in this study using 56 decamer oligonucleotideprimers. All of the 56 primers generated repeatable RAPD profilesand 53 of them detected polymorphic bands among the Tripsacumspecies. These 53 primers generated 350 repeatable bands rangingin size from 150–1600 bp, each primer generating an averageof seven scoreable bands. Cluster analysis of polymorphic RAPDsindicated four major clusters. Cluster 1 consists of North AmericanTripsacum species, cluster 2 consists of South American Tripsacumspecies, cluster 3 includes T. zopilotense and T. latifoliumfrom Mexico, and cluster 4 consists of Mesoamerican Tripsacumspecies. Cluster analysis does not reveal the division of twotaxonomic sections (Fasciculata and Tripsacum). The Epacridaceae of Western Australia comprise 181 named speciesdistributed in 17 genera. One hundred and seventy seven species(98% of the total) and ten genera are endemic to the region.within Western Australia, all members are confined to the south,with a bimodal pattern of species diversity centred on the sandplainsand uplands around the Stirling Ranges and Mount Lesueur.Leucopogon, the largest genus, reflects this pattern, however, speciesdiversity is greatest on the south coastal sandplains. All species are woody shrubs, mostly found on neutral or acidicsandy soils. Plants of at least 120 species are killed by fire;Astrolomacontainsthe only significant number of resprouting species. Althoughsome species are in flower every month every year, autumn/winterflowering is a common feature of many members of the family.All species are biotically pollinated. Bird pollination is foundin 18 species in six genera. The remaining species are insectpollinated. Bees are the major pollinators inLeucopogon, ConostephiumandColeanthera.Moths and butterflies are important pollinators inAndersonia,Leucopogon,LysinemaandStyphelia. Flies are minor pollinators of some speciesofAndersonia, LeucopogonandMonotoca. All species studied areprotandrous and outbreeding, with onlyCosmeliabeing capableof self pollination. Fruits are fleshy inAstroloma, Brachyloma,Croninia, in certain species ofLeucopogonandStypheliaand areanimal dispersed. Other genera have dry, dehiscent fruit withgravity or wind dispersed seeds. Many species have relatively narrow distribution ranges, 90species having ranges of over 300km, 54 species have rangesof 100–300km and 37 have ranges of less than 100km (andthere are many undescribed species in this group). The conservationstatus of many species is still poorly known. Dieback diseaseis a major threat to the family, and could cause the extinctionof several species in the wild. SYNOPSIS. Gammarus species time the release of their young byusing ovarian diapause and the duration of embryonic development.During diapause vitellogenesis is arrested and oostegite setaeare lost. The onset of diapause is influenced by photoperiodunder experimental conditions. Two Gammarus species were studied.Gammarus lawrencianus is typical of the majority of Gammarusspecies that produce sequential broods through the summer andhave a diapause in the autumn. Gammarus setosus is typical ofthose which have an obligatory diapause lasting most of theyear that follows the annual autumn brood. Experimental shortday photoperiods (4L to 12L) induce vitellogenesis in Gammarussetosus, and have the opposite effect on Gammarus lawrencianus.Long day photoperiods promote vitellogenesis in Gammarus lawrencianusand prolong the duration of diapause in Gammarus setosus. Itis concluded that these two Gammarus species have their ownendogenous rhythms and that the role of photoperiod is to timethe reproductive cycle. Short days near the time of the fallequinox ensure that this timing is synchronized over a rangeof latitudes. The effect of photoperiod is modulated by theinfluence of temperature on embryonic development over the broadrange of geographic latitude inhabited by the species. Shortphotoperiods inhibit but do not prevent sexual maturation ofthe young. Short days also result in a slower average growthrate and greater size at maturity.  相似文献

Taxonomic and systematic studies of the woody bamboos are traditionallybased on floral morphology, which can cause problems in identificationdue to the lack of, or infrequent, flowering. Limited studieshave been conducted using molecular techniques to overcome thisproblem. In this study, we used amplified fragment length polymorphisms(AFLPs) to conduct a study of four genera of bamboos (Bambusa,Dendrocalamus, Gigantochloa andThyrsostachys ) in the subtribeBambusinae. AFLP analysis using eight primer combinations wascarried out on 15 species of bamboo. Results showed that AFLPsdistinguish the different species by their unique banding patterns.Unique AFLPs were detected in 13 of the 15 species examined.The six Bambusa species examined separated into two clusters.The sixGigantochloa species studied formed a discrete clusterdiverging from one of the Bambusa clusters, whileThyrsostachyswas less similar to the Bambusa clusters. The similarity indexbetween B. lako and G. atroviolacea was the highest, suggestingthat B. lako is more appropriately included within the genusGigantochloarather than the genus Bambusa. The two Dendrocalamus speciesexamined were very different with D. brandisii clustering withinone of the Bambusa clusters and D. giganteus appearing as avery distant species. These results support the contention thatcritical study of the genus Dendrocalamus is required. A new species of Phyllodesmium (Aeolidoidea) from Guam (Micronesia)is described. Phyllodesmium guamensis n.sp. is characterizedby having two rows of denticles in the radular teeth, this beingdifferent from the previously described species of the genus.The shape of the teeth, however, is identical in all the speciesof the genus, and unique among aeolids. Furthermore, P. guamensispossesses a double row of cerata in the precardiac cluster andup to 10 post-cardiac ceratal rows. Also, P. guamensis showsa very dense accumulation of zooxanthellae in the ceratal digestivegland, which is ramified inside the cerata. This species feedson at least three species of the soft coral Sinularia: S. polydactyla,S. maxima and a third, undescribed species. The esterase system has been studied using isoelectric focusingin two closely related rough periwinkles, Littorina saxatilisand L. arcana, in an investigation of possible differences betweenthe two species at this level of discrimination. Collectionsof both species were obtained from Yorkshire, north Cornwalland south Devon; L. saxatilis was also obtained from sites insouth Cornwall (in and near the estuary of the Tamar), Dorsetand Scotland, where L. arcana was not present. There is considerablevariation both within and between sites which tends to maskany overall differences between the two species. However, ingeneral there is a much greater degree of heterogeneity withinsamples of L. saxatilis than within samples of L: arcana whenboth species are found together; this is reflected in the ShannonWiener diversity index for bands. Also the number of esterasebands is greater for L. saxatilis than for L. arcana at eachof the five sites where both occurred. A dendrogram derivedfrom the percentage occurrence of each band present in eachsample produced a reasonable degree of separation of the twospecies (Received 8 January 1988; accepted 24 February 1988)  相似文献

Four species of seals occupy the pack-ice region of the oceanssurrounding the Antarctic Continent. These seals include thecrabeater (Lobodon cardnophagus), leopard (Hydrurga leptonyx),weddell (Leplonychotes weddellii), and ross (Ommatophoca rossii),and are true seals with special adaptations for living in thepack-ice region. Two other seal species, the southern elephantseal (Mirounga leonina) and the fur seal (Arctocephalus gazella)(the only eared seal of this region) generally occur furtherto the north and use land rather than ice during the periodof birth of young. This paper reviews the status of these species,and examines the generalecology of the four species that inhabitthe pack-ice zone. In general, the four species that occupythe pack-ice zone have specialized in habitats and habits sothat little overlap in dietsor habitat use exist among thesespecies. The exception is the interaction between the leopardand the crabeater which occupy the same regions and eat krill(Euphausia superba), particularly during the winter. The impactof the potential harvest of krill by man on these species isdiscussed. Further, the impact that recovery of the large baleenwhales that feedin this region during the summer is discussedwith regard to the changes that might occur as competition forkrill by the large vertebrate species increases.  相似文献

Stentor is a heterolrich ciliate which often forms lawn-likecovers on the bottom and/or blooms in the pelagial of lakesworldwide. The species involved in these spectacular eventswere usually either not determined or misidentified becausethe keys are outdated and incomplete. Thus, we have revisedthe nominal species described since the first major revisionby Ehrenberg (1838). Main species characteristics are the presence/absenceof symbiotic algae, the shape of the macronucleus and the colourof the cortical pigment granules. The last character mentionedmust be studied in live cells because the pigment bleaches inchemically fixed specimens. Nineteen valid species are recognizedand dichotomously keyed according to these characteristics.Twenty-seven other species and varieties, described after Ehrenberg'srevision, are synonyms or species indeterminata A new species.S.araucanus, is described from South American lakes. It is asmall, broadly trumpet-shaped Stentor with symbiotic algae,vermiform macronucleus and blue-green cortical granules. Stentoraraucanus is probably euplanktic and restricted to the southernhemisphere. Stentor auriculalus Kahl. 1932 sensu Wang (1934)is recognized as a new species, Condylostoma wangi, and transferredto the genus Condylostoma. New nomenclatural corrections: Stentorbaicalius nom. nov. (pro S.pygmaeus, preoccupied). S loricatiisnom. corr. (for S.loricata), S.ruber nom. corr. (for S.ruhra).  相似文献
