Length‐weight relationships (LWR) for three cyprinid fish species collected from the headwaters of the Nujiang River in Tibet, China, were determined. The values of parameter b in the LWR equations were estimated as 2.54 for Schizopygopsis thermalis, 3.3 for Ptychobarbus kaznakovi, and 2.74 for Schizothorax nukiangensis, respectively. The length‐weight relationships (LWR) for three fish species collected from the Nujiang River, China, were determined. Fishes were caught quarterly by drift gill net (stretched mesh size: 4 cm, depth: 2–4 m) and cast net (mesh size 1 cm; depth: 1–2 m) from May 2016 to July 2017. The values of parameter b in the LWR equations were estimated as 2.69 for Balitora nujiangensis Zhang & Zheng, 1983, 2.80 for Glyptothorax deqinensis Mo & Chu, 1986 and 2.94 for Pseudexostoma brachysoma Chu, 1979, respectively.  相似文献

This paper provides the length–weight relationships for six fish species collected from the Anning River, one of the biggest tributaries of the Yalong River in China. A total of 1096 specimens belonging to six fish species were analyzed. Among them, the length–weight relationships for 4 fish species are first‐time reports for FishBase and new maximum lengths of one fish species is also reported.  相似文献

Length–weight relationships (LWRs) were estimated for five fish species in the Fuyuan reach of the middle reaches of Heilongjiang River, northeast China. Fishes were captured using a variety of nets (i.e. drift gill net, set net, fishing cage, fishing jig and fishhook). In addition to November–April, samples were collected monthly from May 2013 to October 2014. The five species were: Lethenteron reissneri, Pelteobagrus ussuriensis, Hemibarbus maculates, Xenocypris macrolepis and Chanodichthys erythropterus. LWRs for Lethenteron reissneri and Pelteobagrus ussuriensis were unknown to FishBase. The a values obtained ranged from 0.0019 (Lethenteron reissneri) to 0.0177 (Pelteobagrus ussuriensis), and b values ranged from 2.710 (Pelteobagrus ussuriensis) to 3.397 (Chanodichthys erythropterus).  相似文献

The length–weight relationships (LWRs) were determined for five fish species from the Beijiang River in China. Fishes were caught by gill nets (mesh sizes: 5, 7, 9 cm), and cage nets (mesh sizes: 0.5 cm) from April to September 2018. Length–weight relationships of four species were unknown to FishBase, and new records of maximum lengths are given for two species, one of which, Ancherythroculter lini, is endemic species of the Pearl River. All length–weight relationships were highly significant on a log scale with the coefficient of determination (r2) values ranged from 0.939 to 0.991. Values of b were within the expected range, varied from 2.935 for A. lini to 3.414 for Parasinilabeo assimilis.  相似文献

This paper provides the length–weight relationships for 21 fish species belonging to four families and 19 genera from the Xiangjiang River, a tributary of the middle Yangtze River in China. The length–weight relationships (LWR) for three fish species collected in Sirwan River, located in Kurdistan and Kermanshah provinces, western Iran, were estimated. The values of the slope parameter (b) in the length–weight relationship equations were determined as 3.086 for Alburnus mossulensis, 3.382 for Alburnus filippii and 3.425 for Capoeta damascina, all significantly different from the expected = 3 value, indicating a positive allometric growth pattern for all the three species.  相似文献

Length–weight relationships (LWRs) were determined for three cyprinid fish species [Acrossocheilus yunnanensis (Regan, 1904), Onychostoma simum (Sauvage & Dabry de Thiersant, 1874) and Spinibarbus sinensis (Bleeker, 1871)] from southwestern China. Samples were obtained with various fishing gear (set nets, drift gill nets, fish cages, hook and electrofishing). The length‐weight relationships (LWRs) are presented for eight freshwater fish species (Acheilognathus macropterus, Saurogobio dabryi, Saurogobio gymnocheilus, Sinobdella sinensis, Pelteobagrus eupogon, Rhinogobius cliffordpopei, Neosalanx jordani, and Silurus meridionalis) from the Yangtze River and Lake Taihu. Length‐weight relationships (LWRs) were determined for nine fish species occurring in the Nujiang River. Fish were collected using gill nets, including two nets of 1.0 m depth (100 m long; mesh size 0.5 cm), two nets of 1.0 m depth (150 m long; mesh size 2.0 cm) and two nets reaching 1.5 m depth (mesh size 6.0 cm). Gill nets were set over night including different habitats (riffles and pools, vegetated and non vegetated zones) from four sections in July of the following 2 years: 2004 and 2008. The LWRs presented here include for all nine studied species (Pseudexostoma brachysoma Chu, 1979, Creteuchiloglanis gongshanensis [Chu, 1981], Glyptothorax zanaensis Wu, He & Chu, 1981, Glyptothorax dorsalis Vinciguerra, 1890, and Glyptothorax trilineatus Blyth, 1860, Schizothorax gongshanensis Tsao, 1964, Schizothorax meridionalis Tsao, 1964, Placocheilus cryptonemus Cui & Li, 1984, and Schistura longa [Zhu, 1982]), and new maximum standard length of four species not yet reported in the literature.  相似文献

This study describes the length–weight and length–length relationships for three cyprinid species from the Bibi‐Sayyedan River (western Isfahan provinces, Iran). The slope parameter (b) values in the length–weight relationship equations were determined as 3.0729 for Alburnus mossulensis Heckel, 1843; 2.8509 for Barbus lacerta Heckel, 1843; and 3.0864 for Chondrostoma regium (Heckel, 1843). This study presents the first LWR and LLR references for these species in the Bibi‐Sayyedan River.  相似文献

Samples were collected quarterly from June 2015 to March 2017.The allometric coefficient (b) of length‐weight relationship varied from 2.76 for Zebrias zebra to 3.38 for Setipinna tenuifilis. The length‐weight relationships (LWRs) for three freshwater fish species in catchment area of Hoiya River, Republic of Korea, were analyzed. Fish samples were collected quarterly using scoop‐nets (5 mm mesh size), casting nets (7 mm mesh size) from 2017 to 2018. For LWRs using the general equation from Froese (2006), the parameter b ranges from 3.14 (Oryzias latipes) to 3.37 (Iksookimia longicorpa). Length‐weight relationships (LWRs) were estimated for four fish species [Schizopygopsis anteroventris Wu & Tsao, 1989, Schizothorax lissolabiatus Tsao, 1964, Triplophysa markehenensis (Zhu & Wu, 1981) and Triplophysa siluroides (Herzenstein, 1888)] from the Yellow River. Samples were collected seasonally from August 2016 to October 2017, using various fishing gears [set nets (mesh: 1.5 cm × 2.0 cm), hook, drift gill nets (mesh: 1.0 cm × 2.0 cm × 3.0 cm) and electro fishing]. Length‐weight relationships are described for 77 fish species belonging to eight families and 56 genera from the Chishui River, a protected tributary of the upper Yangtze River, China. Length–weight relationships for 56 species were unknown to FishBase and new maximum lengths are recorded for 44 species. These results will be useful for fishery research, management and conservation in the upper Yangtze River Basin.  相似文献

Fish assemblages were randomly collected in March 2015 from the upper reaches of the Beijiang River, Shaoguan, China. Fish were sampled on 10 occasions using gill nets (mesh size: 3 cm) and the length–weight relationships (LWRs; W = a × Lb) of three native species recorded: Xenocypris davidi, Xenocypris macrolepis and Culter recurviceps. The exponent b varied from 2.803 to 3.096 and r2 values ranged 0.985–0.992. This is the first report on the LWRs of fish from this area, with valuable results for the research, management and conservation of fishery resources in the upper reaches of the Beijiang River.  相似文献

Length–weight relationships (LWRs) were evaluated for Jinshaia sinensis (Sauvage & Dabry de Thiersant, 1874) and Lepturichthys fimbriata (Günther, 1888) using a total of 289 specimens caught by gill nets (mesh size 5.0 cm) and angling in the Yalong River, southwestern China during February and March 2007.
