等级结构稳定性是衡量群体凝聚力的重要指标,雌性等级结构稳定对于母系社会群体具有重要的生物学意义。本文采用目标动物取样和全事件记录相结合的方法,研究黄山短尾猴鱼鳞坑A1 群(YA1 群)和鱼鳞坑A2 群(YA2 群)的成年雌性分别在交配季节(2011 年9 ~ 12 月)和非交配季节(2012 年2 ~ 5 月)内的攻击-屈服行为。采用等级结构中雌性间攻击- 屈服频率、社会顺位和等级梯度3 个量化指标,首次定量探讨了短尾猴雌性等级结构及其稳定性。研究期间,YA1 群和YA2 群雌性间攻击- 屈服频率、社会顺位和等级梯度均无季节性变化(P >0. 05)。结果表征短尾猴雌性等级结构趋于稳定,该结果支持了短尾猴雌性等级结构稳定性的定性判断。  相似文献

罗非鱼对微型生态系统营养物水平的影响   总被引:13,自引:0,他引:13  
本文总结了罗非鱼不同放养密度的微型生态系统中N、P浓度及P分布动态观测结果。在罗非鱼的影响下,微型生态系统中氨氮、颗粒磷和总磷浓度不同程度地高于对照组,而正磷酸盐浓度和沉积物磷的量显著地低于对照组。不同密度组某些指标的观测值虽有显著差异,但未见任何指标依罗非鱼放养密度而有规律地变动。微型生态系统中正磷酸盐浓度同浮游动、植物密度和初级生产力显著相关,氨氮浓度与浮游植物密度之间亦有显著的相关关系。然而,浮游植物密度与总磷浓度之间不存在营养级联假说所预见的下行影响,相反有前者决定于后者的上行影响的趋向。微型生态系统中P分布的变化可揭示罗非鱼促进系统中营养物循环,从而加速其富营养化的主要机制。  相似文献

社会顺位等级制度在灵长类动物中普遍存在,它对动物个体的繁殖和社会行为有广泛的影响.本研究对黄山短尾猴鱼鳞坑YA2群6个不同顺位成年雄性个体,根据顺位高低,将它们分成3组:高顺位组(2只个体)、中等顺位组(2只个体)、低顺位组(2只个体),采用目标动物取样法对它们的社会行为进行研究,结果表明,3组之间(1)接收和发出架桥行为频次差异显著,高顺位组接收架桥次数最多;(2)接收和发出爬跨行为频次差异显著;低顺位组接收爬跨次数最多;(3)发出呈臀行为频次差异显著,但接收呈臀行为频次差异不显著;高顺位组是接收呈臀次数最多,低顺位组发出呈臀次数最多;(4)摇树行为频次差异显著,高顺位组发出摇树行为最多.因此雄性黄山短尾猴友好行为可以体现出社群顺位等级关系,这种社群顺位等级关系和这些友好行为在维持社群稳定上有重要作用.  相似文献

采用中心复合试验设计和响应曲面分析方法,在实验室条件下,探讨了温度(18-37℃)、盐度(0-18)及其互作效应对吉富罗非鱼幼鱼血清IGF-I、生长和饲料效率的影响,并且分析了血清IGF-I与生长、饲料效率的关系.整个试验持续8周.结果表明,温度的一次与二次效应对血清IGF-I、生长和饲料效率有显著影响,盐度的一次与二次效应对血清IGF-I和生长有显著影响.高温与高盐环境会降低罗非鱼的生长与饲料效率.血清IGF-I随水温的上升呈先上升后下降的变化;在等渗点附近,罗非鱼血清IGF-I水平较低.血清IGF-I与生长和饲料效率具有相关性,血清IGF-I水平较高时,特定生长率和饲料效率均较高.温度和盐度的互作效应对血清IGF-I、生长和饲料效率无显著影响(P>0.05).温度和盐度分别为28.5℃和8.4时,特定生长率和饲料效率同时达到最优值,为2.29%/d和0.82,其可靠性为0.937.低盐环境可以提高罗非鱼的生长与饲料利用,血清IGF-I水平的升高有助于增强罗非鱼渗透调节能力.  相似文献

Water temperature and dietary protein level play an important role in influencing the growth and insulin-like growth factor I (IGF-I) in Nile tilapia juveniles. The combined effect of temperature (20–34 °C) and dietary protein level (25–50%) on the specific growth rate (SGR), feed efficiency (FE), serum IGF-I level and hepatic IGF-I mRNA level was examined under laboratory conditions by employing central composite design and response surface method. Results showed that the linear effects of temperature and dietary protein level on the SGR, FE, serum IGF-I and hepatic IGF-I mRNA level were significant (P<0.05); the quadratic effects of temperature and dietary protein level on the FE and serum IGF-I were significant (P<0.05). The interaction of temperature and dietary protein level on the FE, serum IGF-I and hepatic IGF-I mRNA level all proved significant (P<0.05). The optimal temperature/dietary protein level combination was determined, i.e., 29.9 °C/40.3%, at which the greatest SGR (2.748%/d) and FE (0.775) were simultaneously arrived. Both SGR and FE were linearly correlated with serum IGF-I or hepatic IGF-I mRNA level. These results suggested that optimum combination of temperature and dietary protein level would enhance tilapia growth efficiency and IGF-I would regulate growth and FE.  相似文献

Sexual maturation and gonadal development of fish is greatly influenced by photic information, an external environmental factor, and melatonin mediates this information to regulate gonadotropin (GTH) secretion and gonadal activation. The relationship between gonadotropin inhibiting hormone (GnIH) and melatonin in fish, however, has not been studied to date. Here, the GnIH expression pattern and daily change of melatonin levels were compared to each other in mature tilapia (body length 16.1 ± 0.2 cm, body weight 77.7 ± 3.43 g), and the effect of melatonin injection on GnIH gene expression was investigated. GnIH gene expression increased at night when the secretion of melatonin increased, whereas gene expression decreased during the day when melatonin secretion decreased. Injecting tilapia intraperitoneally with melatonin increased GnIH gene expression and decreased the expression of gonadotropin releasing hormone (GnRH) and GTH. Furthermore, the injection decreased the 11-KT concentration in male tilapia. These results indicate that melatonin is likely to suppress the hypothalamus-pituitary-gonad (HPG) axis via the action of GnIH in this species.  相似文献

本文报道罗非鱼不同放养密度对淡水微型生态系统结构与功能影响的部分研究结果。罗非鱼的捕食使微型生态系统中浮游动物密度下降,引起浮游植物密度、初级生产力和P/R系数的增长,同时使水柱透明度降低而pH值增高,以致于实验后期微型生态系统具有典型的富营养化水体的特征。就罗非鱼放养密度不同的微型生态系统而言,虽然其浮游生物密度和P/R系数存在显著的组(或部分组)间差异,但不同密度组的初级生产力水平和最终的理化状况相差不大,并且罗非鱼的收获量甚为接近。因此,实验条件下微型生态系统的群落结构和代谢的变化,按照营养级联假说不能很好地予以解释,表明微型生态系统是由捕食(下行影响)和理化因素(上行影响)共同调节或控制的。根据微型生态系统的实验结果推断,放养较大密度的罗非鱼,将会加速营养物负荷较高的天然水域富营养化的进程。  相似文献

Nile tilapia Oreochromis niloticus early juveniles were maintained for 2 weeks in a pressurized system under a controlled photoperiod, at constant salinity and temperature. Groups of fish were exposed to one of three absolute hydrostatic pressure (HP) regimes: (1) a constant normal atmospheric pressure (100 kPa), (2) a constant 40 m pressure (500 kPa) or (3) a semi-diurnal cyclic vertical migration (100-500 kPa). No significant differences were detected in otolith size and incremental periodicity among the three HP treatments, suggesting that HP does not affect otolith growth of early juveniles O. niloticus.  相似文献

This study was conducted to determine the effect of different stress factors on some physiological measurements of Nile tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus).A total number of 160 Nile tilapia, the body weight ranging between 100 and 120 g, were exposed to three stress factors of hypoxia, overcrowding and starvation for different periods 24, 72 and 144 h. The results of cortisol level were 134.15, 144.27, 154.12 ng/ml and 140.18 ng/ml for control, hypoxia, overcrowding and starvation, respectively, while after 144 h did not show significant difference among treatments compared with control group. In contrast, the values of T3 and T4 observed reduction with significant difference that T3 ranged between the highest value 122.12 ng/ml for control group to lowest value of starvation group 94.35, 93.81 and 88.46 ng/ml after 24, 72 and 144 h. Also, similar trend of results observed in T4 and blood glucose among treatments. And the enzymatic activity of lactate dehydrogenise (LDH) increased in hypoxic group, while a significant reduction appeared in overcrowding and starved fish compared to control group. The pyruvate kinase (PK) activity decreased in hypoxic group but increased in other group.  相似文献

Social dominance and agonistic behavior play important roles in animal societies. Melatonin and testosterone are closely related to social dominance and agonistic behavior in rodents, but interactions between both of them remain unknown. In this study we investigated the effects of testosterone and melatonin by manipulating photoperiod and castration on social dominance and agonistic behavior in male Tscheskia triton. Castration significantly decreases social dominance of both short- and long-day males, suggesting that testosterone benefits social dominance of males in both breeding and non-breeding seasons. In intact conditions, long-day males tended to dominate short-day males, suggesting that the effect of testosterone on social dominance was a little stronger than melatonin. However, castrated short-day males became dominant over their castrated long-day opponents meaning that high melatonin levels obviously benefit social dominance in males. Hormone implantation indicated that testosterone had no effect on non-breeding condition, but that melatonin was important during the breeding season. Our results indicate that both testosterone and melatonin are important in determining social dominance in male hamsters, and the effect of testosterone appears to be stronger than melatonin. Testosterone is responsible for aggression and social dominance in male hamsters during the breeding season, while melatonin regulates behavior during non-breeding, probably due to the different seasonal secretory patterns of the hormones.  相似文献

This study evaluated how water temperature (26, 28, and 30°C), number of meals per day (one or two meals), and protein percent in diet (20, 25 and 30%) impact growth performance, biometric indices, and feeding behavior of Nile tilapia, Oreochromis niloticus. Fish were randomly allocated into 18 equal replicate groups. Higher final body weight was observed in fish reared at 30°C and fed one meal per day containing 30% crude protein. Better weight gain, weight gain %, feed conversion ratio, specific growth rate, and condition factor were recorded in fish reared at 26°C and fed one meal per day containing 30% protein. The best length weight relationship was obtained in fish reared at 26°C and fed one meal per day containing 30% crude protein. Shorter feeding duration and duration of appetite inhibition latency were recorded in fish reared at 30°C, fed one meal per day, and given a diet containing 30% protein. The highest proactivity was recorded in fish reared at 30°C, received one meal per day, and with 25% crude protein in their diet. Conclusively, rearing Nile tilapia at 26–30°C with a lower feeding frequency (one meal/day) and a 30% crude protein diet achieved better performance and feeding behavior.  相似文献

Krüppel样转录因子15 (Krüppel-like factors,KLF15)是Krüppel样转录因子家族的一员。Krüppel样转录因子家族的特征是含有3个高度保守的Cys2His2锌指结构,与DNA的CACCC元件和富含GC区连接,从而调控转录激活或抑制。KLF15在糖、脂肪酸、氨基酸代谢过程中发挥重要的调控作用。本研究克隆了尼罗罗非鱼(Oreochromis niloticus) KLF15基因全长cDNA序列,根据推测的氨基酸序列分析,发现其具有KLF15的两个典型结构域zf-H2C2-2和zf-C2H2。系统进化树的比较分析表明,尼罗罗非鱼KLF15与雪鲷(Maylandia zebra) KLF15亲缘关系最为接近。尼罗罗非鱼短期饥饿实验结果显示:正常进食状态时尼罗罗非鱼肌肉、肝中KLF15基因都呈现明显的昼夜节律性,均为昼低夜高;饥饿7 d后KLF15基因依然有显著昼夜节律性,但振幅降低,且在肝中表现出昼高夜低现象。以上结果说明尼罗罗非鱼的营养变化在一定程度上直接或间接影响KLF15基因节律性表达。  相似文献

为探讨团头鲂幼鱼(Megalobrama amblycephala)游泳行为对水流的响应规律,该文通过特制鱼类游泳行为测定装置,测定了团头鲂幼鱼在25℃,0、0.1、0.2、0.3、0.4m/s流速条件下的游速、游距、转角、至中心点的距离及游泳轨迹。结果表明:随着流速的增大,个体游速、游距及转角值均相应增大。0、0.1及0.2m/s流速组间的游速、游距及转角差异均不显著(P>0.05),但显著小于0.3和0.4m/s组别,且0.3和0.4m/s流速组之间差异均不显著(P>0.05);整个时间段内,个体至中心点的距离随流速增大并未呈现明显规律性,各流速间差异不显著(P>0.05),游速与游距呈显著线性正相关,而与转角呈显著线性负相关,与至中心点的距离则无相关性;游泳轨迹随水流增大趋向复杂化。  相似文献

Many aspects of teleost physiology are subject to regulation by social interactions. To evaluate the relationship of social status with growth, eye color pattern and hepatic Insulin-like Growth Factor-I (IGF-I) mRNA expression, 30 Oreochromis niloticus were isolated for 10 days and were used in a social pair study. Results revealed that growth of both dominant (except 1 day after social interaction) and subordinate individuals was suppressed, but growth suppression was greater in the subordinates. The dominant fish completely inhibited the feeding of the subordinate individuals during and 1 day after they were introduced into the aquaria together. After that, a pattern of highly aggressive attacks by dominant fish only partially inhibited feeding by the subordinates. Differential alterations in growth rate between dominants and subordinates were attributed more to behavioral changes (i.e., feeding) as transduced by physiological regulators (i.e., IGF-I level and possibly serotonin and/or neuropeptide Y) but may also be due to changes in metabolism. The fish's relative position in the social hierarchy consistently influenced the levels of IGF-I mRNA in the liver and the eye color pattern. Lower social status depressed hepatic IGF-I levels while dominant status stimulated hepatic IGF-I production, possibly in response to inhibition of somatostatin release in the hypothalamus, leading to greater secretion of pituitary growth hormone (GH). A significant positive association was detected between the IGF-I mRNA expression of the dominant fish and the level of aggression (number of attacks) during the encounter. Social status also influenced the eye color pattern of the fish. During aggressive interactions, most of the fish (22 out of 24) displayed decreased eye darkening. At the later part of the encounter, all subsequent subordinates displayed eye-darkening patterns which acted as a social signal announcing social submission. In various experiments under self-feeding conditions, sea bass groups could be divided into three categories regarding feeder actuation: high, low and zero-triggering fish. In all cases few high-triggering fish were responsible for a high percentage of the feed delivery. A question was raised about the role played by feeding motivation in such high-triggering status acquisition. It was approached by applying a 3-week fasting period in order to induce similar negative specific growth rate (SGR) in two groups of fish of similar mean weight but with either a low or a high coefficient of variation for weight (CVw) (Tlow: CVw ∼ 11%, 3 tanks of 60 fish each; Thigh: CVw ∼ 20%, 3 tanks of 60 fish each). These groups were created to test the consistency of behavioural responses in two different contexts (i.e. two population size-distributions). During the follow-up period of 40 days, the group level feed-demand behaviour was not strongly modified by the fasting period and there were no differences between Tlow and Thigh groups. Complete growth compensation was the same in all tanks as observed at the end of the experiment. At the individual level, high-triggering fish were exactly the same individuals before and after the fasting period. Up to four high-triggering fish could be observed according to the tank and when several fish were performing high-triggering activity, their rankings were sometimes reversed after the fasting period. High-triggering fish increased their activity levels after the fasting period showing behavioural plasticity. High-triggering status could neither be explained by an initial lower SGR nor a sex effect, nor by any of the measured physiological blood parameters. Thus, individual's triggering activity levels could be related to personality and/or metabolic traits but further research is required to confirm this assumption.  相似文献

The effects of two common West African farm-made feeds on postprandial metabolism were assessed in adult Nile tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus) by quantifying the oxygen consumption rates (MO2) and total ammonia-nitrogen (TAN) excretion over a 24-h period. Measurements followed the ingestion of a single meal of a fishmeal-based control diet and two diets containing 30% copra (CM) or palm kernel meal (PKM) inclusions by groups of 15 adult O. niloticus per tank. The mean net MO2 (postprandial oxygen consumption corrected for routine metabolic rate) during digestion for the different tilapia groups varied narrowly between 112.2 ± 9.9 and 129.9 ± 20.4 mg O2 kg?1 h?1 with the fish fed the CM diet recording a significantly lower (p = 0.04) net MO2 response relative to the other two diets. Net TAN excretion rates of the different dietary groups varied between 3.4 ± 1.4 and 4.4 ± 1.6 mg TAN kg?1 h?1. Under the standardized experimental conditions, copra and PKMs appeared to be promising candidates as partial replacements to fishmeal in tilapia diets as far as rates of oxygen consumption and ammonia-nitrogen excretion are concerned.  相似文献

Twelve adult female crab-eating monkeys (Macaca fascicularis) were placed in six pairs of adjacent cages, allowing physical contact between members of these experimental pairs. Twelve additional females remained singly caged (no physical contact allowed) and served as six control “pairs.” In both experimental and control pairs, one member had a history of regular menstrual cycles, whereas the other tended to have cycles that were unusually long and/or irregular. Over a six-month period, menses and amount of vaginal secretion were recorded daily for all subjects, and the behavior of experimental pairs was sampled three times per week. During the course of the study, the irregular experimental subjects began to exhibit menstrual cycles of near normal length although there was no apparent trend to synchronize cycles. Irregular controls continued to show cycles that were abnormally long. Vaginal secretions tended to increase in all regularly cycling animals during days 9–15 (peak day 11) or reverse days 21–16 of the cycle, consistent with the estimated time of ovulation. Analysis of behavior indicated that irregularly cycling subjects inspected the genitalia of their regularly cycling cagemates at a significantly higher frequency than the converse (F=12.61,p<.005), particularly during the follicular phase (F=3.39,p<.07). These results suggest that close physical contact may serve to transmit chemical and/or hormonal cues that can normalize the menstrual cycle of crab-eating monkeys.  相似文献

In this work, in order to improve the adhesion between a polyester matrix (unsaturated polyester resin) and flax fibres (Linum usitatissimum L.) and to increase their moisture resistance, chemical surface treatments have been used. These different treatments were performed with maleic anhydride (MA), acetic anhydride (Ac), silane (Si) and styrene (S). The modified flax fibres were characterized by means of infrared spectroscopy and surface energy analysis. The effect of these treatments on water sorption was investigated by using a gravimetric static equilibrium method. Water sorption isotherms were derived from kinetic data. The Park model based on the three sorption modes: Langmuir, Henry’s law and clustering, was successfully used to simulate the experimental sorption data. It was found that the (Ac) and particularly (S) treatments reduced overall water uptake of flax fibres. We show that tensile modulus, breaking strength and breaking strain depend on the chemical treatment used.  相似文献

Bisphenol A (BPA) is one of the industrial chemical compound which is used in the production of polycarbonate plastics and epoxy resins. BPA is used throughout the world and it could enter the aquatic ecosystems causing serious problems. To evaluate the potential effects of BPA toxicity on Nile tilapia, Oreochromis niloticus (L.) performance, its lethal concentration (LC50) was determined and it was 13.13 µg/L. After that, fish (33.9 ± 0.55 g/fish) were exposed to 0.0, 1.64, or 3.28 µg/L of BPA for 6 weeks after which growth performance, biochemical variables, and oxidative defense system were assessed. The results showed that fish growth and feed intake were significantly reduced as BPA levels increased with no significant difference in fish survival. Total protein, albumin, globulin, and acetylcholine esterase decreased significantly; meanwhile, aspartate transferase, alanine transferase, alkaline phosphatase, uric acid, and creatinine increased significantly with exposure to BPA in a dose dependent manner. Furthermore, malondialdehyde value and the activities of superoxide dismutase and catalase increased significantly; while glutathione peroxidase and glutathione S‐transferase decreased significantly as BPA levels increased. In conclusion, BPA exposure in aquatic environment deteriorated fish performance and health causing liver and kidney dysfunction. Thus, fish exerted oxidative defense enzymes as a protection tool against BPA toxicity.  相似文献
