The analysis of the intestinal microflora in 2,378 patients of different age revealed changes in the state of enteric microflora in all examined patients. In the maximum percent of cases a decrease in the amount of bifidobacteria was observed in children of up to 1 month old and in the amount of lactobacilli, in children aged 6 - 14 years. In patients of all age groups the representatives of such facultative microflora as Staphylococcus aureus or fungi of the genus Candida dominated. The highest proportion of isolated staphylococci was characteristic of children in the first year of life. In the highest percent of cases a decrease in the amount of Escherichia coli with typical properties was observed in persons over 65 years old. Other enterobacteria were most often isolated from adults aged 56 - 65, but the percentage of their isolation was 1.5 times lower than that of Candida. The conclusion was made that the treatment of patients with quantitative and qualitative disturbances of normal enteric microflora needed individual approach in each concrete case with due regard to the patient's age.  相似文献

The bacteriological study of vaginal microflora in 24 clinically healthy girls aged 7-8 years was carried out. Two criteria of normal vaginal biocenosis in girls of prepuberal age were proposed. The proportion of hemolytic bacteria in the vagina of a girl of prepuberal age could reach 100% of all microflora, provided the total bacterial count (TBC) exceed average values. A high proportion of hemolytic bacteria in the vaginal microflora of girls of prepuberal age in combination with a high level of TBC (even with TBC not exceeding the upper limit of its normal value) could probably by regarded as a border state. No fungi of the genus Candida should be isolated from vagina in girls of prepuberal age. Facultative anaerobic microflora was represented mainly by Staphylococcus epidermidis and S. saprophyticus. In 64.3 +/- 12.8% of cases bifidobacteria were detected in the girls vagina.  相似文献

The bacteriological study of fecal specimens obtained from 595 children at different critical periods of the development of their immune system was carried out. The comparison of intestinal microflora in children at the critical periods of the development of their immune system revealed that in children under 1 year considerable changes in the microflora composition were observed during the first 6 months of life. These changes, most pronounced in children aged 1 month and 3-6 months, were characterized by decreased level of indigenous microflora and an increase in the qualitative and quantitative content of aerobic microflora with the representatives of the family Enterobacteriaceae playing the dominating role. In boys such disturbances were manifested to a greater extent than in girls.  相似文献

In 75 female residents of Vladikavkaz, aged 18-45 years, who had applied to the gynecological department with complaints of vaginal discharge, the qualitative and quantitative composition of vaginal microflora was studied. All these women were divided into 2 groups: group 1 including 38 women living in ecologically unfavorable districts of the city and group 2 including 37 women living under ecologically favorable conditions. The relationship between the ecological situation of the districts of residence and vaginal microflora in women of the reproductive age was established. Unfavorable exogenous factors were found to lead to the development of vaginal dysbacteriosis: a sharp decrease in the amount of lactoflora or its complete absence accompanied by increased amount of staphylococci, enterococci, Escherichia coli, Proteus, Klebsiella and yeast-like fungi of the genus Candida.  相似文献

Age-dependent methylation of ESR1 gene in prostate cancer   总被引:4,自引:0,他引:4  
The incidence of prostate cancer increases dramatically with age and the mechanism underlying this association is unclear. Age-dependent methylation of estrogen receptor alpha (ESR1) gene has been previously implicated in other cancerous and benign diseases. We evaluated the age-dependent methylation of ESR1 in prostate cancer. The methylation status of ESR1 in 83 prostate cancer samples from patients aged 49 to 77 years (mean age at 67.4 years) was examined using the bisulfite genomic sequencing technique. The samples were divided into three age groups: men aged 60 years and under (n = 14), men aged 61-70 years (n = 40), and men aged over 70 years (n = 29). Overall, ESR1 promoter methylation was detected in 54 out of 83 (65.1%) prostate samples. The methylation rate of ESR1 increased dramatically with age from 50.0% in patients aged 60 years and under to 89.7% for patients aged 70 years and over. Logistic regression analyses revealed that age and Gleason score were the only variables that affect incidence of ESR1 methylation; other clinical factors such as prostate-specific antigen level and clinical stage did not. We also calculated ESR1 methylation density (the percentage of methylated CpGs among all CpGs within the analyzed region) and severity (the percentage of methylated CpG alleles) for each sample analyzed. Multiple regression analyses showed a positive correlation between age and methylation density (beta, 0.35; P, 0.012; 95% CI, 0.26-2.01); while Gleason score was positively associated with methylation severity (beta, 0.45; P, 0.018; 95% CI, 1.04-4.26). These findings suggest that methylation of ESR1 is both age-dependent and tumor differentiation-dependent and age-dependent methylation of ESR1 may represent a mechanism linking aging and prostate cancer.  相似文献

The purpose of this study was to examine the four parameters of aerobic function, the maximum oxygen uptake (VO2max), ventilation threshold (ThVE), efficiency, and the effective time constant for oxygen consumption (tau'VO2), across age. In particular, the study was designed to observe whether there may be accelerated declines in aerobic function beyond 60 years of age. Seventy-nine sedentary men aged 30-84 years were studied. Each subject performed two maximal cycle ramp function tests, and data were collected on a breath-by-breath basis. The VO2max, from a plateau in VO2, was achieved in 87% of the subjects using the ramp test. The VO2max showed a significant decrease with increasing age (from linear regression, r = -0.81) at a rate averaging 0.037 l.min-1.year-1. The ThVE also declined with increasing age, but at a slower rate (0.013 l.min-1.year-1). The tau'VO2 was significantly increased across the age groups from 69 s for those aged 30-40 years to 98 s for those aged 60 years or more. There was no evidence of accelerated decline in these aerobic parameters beyond age 60 years, and there were no differences in efficiency (27.5-29.9%) across age. Although other forcing functions should be used to confirm this characterization of the oxygen kinetics, this slowed response with age would result in greater oxygen deficit and possibly earlier fatigue in response to even light exercise in older individuals.  相似文献

The study of the vaginal microbial cenosis in 20 healthy girls aged 3-7 years did not confirm the notion on the dominating role of cocci (including epidermal staphylococci). The associations of 2-5 different microorganisms represented by more than 20 species in an amount of 4-6 Ig PFC/g of discharge were established. In the overwhelming majority of the examinees (84.2%) the microbial associations of the vagina were found to contain bifidobacteria. Gram positive cocci (staphylococci and streptococci) took the 2nd and 3rd places in the isolation rates and were detected in vaginal associations in 78.9% of the girls. Staphylococci were represented by 5 coagulase-negative staphylococcal species with S. simulans and S. epidermidis prevailing. Hemolytic streptococci variants alpha and beta were isolated in the proportion of 2:1. The latter belonged to serogroups C and F. No S. aureus, Lactobacillus sp., streptococci of groups A and B, yeast-like fungi were detected. Genital mycoplasms (M. hominis) could rarely be found in the vaginal discharge of the girls aged 3-7 years (5.3%). No resident and transitory components could be isolated from the normal vaginal microflora and no quantitative domination of any bacterial species (genus) was shown. The concentrations of all organisms in this association were moderate or low.  相似文献

The microflora of the prepucial sac in 94 children (aged 2 months to 15 years) with acute purulent balanoposthitis (APB) was studied. In the overwhelming majority of cases APB in children was caused by facultative anaerobic and aerobic bacteria (96.7%); of these, Gram positive bacteria occurred most frequently (85.7% of cases). In 51.6% of children these bacteria were represented by staphylococci, constituting 60.3% of all Gram positive flora. Gram negative bacteria were isolated in 40.6% of cases, Escherichia coli taking the first place among them. The isolated microflora was highly resistant to frequently used wide spectrum antibiotics.  相似文献

The formation of skin biocenosis in children under the conditions of a maternity hospital with the joint care of mother and child was studied with the use of commercial bacteriological imprints manufactured in the USSR. The colonization of newborn infants in maternity hospitals with opportunistic, saprophytic and normal microflora was established. In newborn infants aged up to 5 years low skin resistance to colonization and, as a consequence, frequent colonization of the skin with opportunistic and saprophytic microflora was observed.  相似文献

This work was conducted to assess the accuracy of in situ hybridization to show differences in human microflora composition between volunteers and to optimize the storage of fecal samples to allow delayed analysis of gut microflora composition in humans. Fecal samples from 25 healthy subjects (14 women, 11 men aged 24-51) were collected. The samples were fixed in 4% Paraformaldehyde (PFA) solution at 4 degrees C overnight and stored at -70 degrees C. Twenty samples were analysed to quantify the variation due to interindividual differences in the composition of fecal microflora. The five remaining samples were stored either after PFA fixation or directly frozen at -70 degrees C and were monitored on a 12-month period. The fecal microflora was analysed by in situ hybridization combined with flow cytometry detection. Ribosomal RNA-targeted probes were used to assess the relative proportions of four phylogenetic groups: Clostridium coccoides-Eubacterium rectale (Erec 482), Bacteroides (Bac 303), Faecalibacterium prausnitzii (Fprau 645) and Bifidobacterium (Bif 164). Our results demonstrated that the method used is adapted to detect significant differences in fecal microflora composition in humans. Moreover, samples stored in PFA solution demonstrated a stable composition even after 8 months of storage. Conversely, frozen samples were less stable as the Bifidobacterium and C. coccoides-E. rectale groups showed significant differences after 2 months of storage. In conclusion, the fecal microflora composition can be analysed up to 8 months after 4% PFA fixation and storage at -70 degrees C. It represents an extended time compared with the 2-month period currently recommended. This will give more flexibility for applying this technology in epidemiological studies including a large number of samples.  相似文献

The study of the microflora of the large intestine in healthy adult volunteers of different age groups (25-36, 55-68 and 88-94 years old), living in Switzerland, has been carried out. As revealed by the analysis of the result obtained in this study, normal intestinal microflora in adults has different qualitative and quantitative characteristics at different periods of their life. The greatest diversity of intestinal microflora is observed at a mature age (55-68 years old), while the poorest microflora is observed in people more advanced in age. The amount of microorganisms inhabiting the intestine reaches its maximum in people of mature age and is low in elderly people. Changes in normal intestinal microflora are probaly linked with morpho-functional transformations in the host body at different periods of life. It is expedient to work out the criteria of norm for the microflora of different age groups with a view to use these criteria for the evaluation of the microbial status of the intestine in persons of different age.  相似文献

目的:探讨围手术期腹部外科病人血气和酸碱平衡、肠道菌群变化及临床意义.方法:随机检测100例腹部外科择期手术患者术前和术后血气分析.同时对术后发生腹泻的13例患者行粪便菌群分析.结果:手术后低血氧27例,而胃癌根治、直肠癌根治、肝叶切除等大手术者均有不同程度酸碱失衡,且发生酸碱失衡者中9例合并菌群失调.结论:具有高危因素的腹部手术患者,术前及术后检测血气,监测肺功能及酸碱平衡,并积极诊治肠道菌群失调.  相似文献

The survival rates in 200 patients with terminal renal failure treated by maintenance haemodialysis and renal transplantation were analysed. The overall survival rate (+/- SE) was 81-4 +/- 3% at two years, 68-4 +/- 4% at five years, and 60-8 +/- 4-8% at eight years. Survival was inversely related to age: in those aged 15-34 years overall survival was 89-7 +/- 3-7% at two years, 87-8 +/- 4-1% at five years, and 83-9 +/- 5-5% at eight years. Eighty per cent of the surviving patients were able to work full time. The survival rate in patients returned to dialysis after graft rejection was 87-5% +/- 8-3 at three years.  相似文献

A high-performance liquid chromatography tandem mass spectrometry (HPLC–MS/MS) method employing electrospray ionization (ESI) has been developed for simultaneous determination of lancemaside A (3-O-β-d-glucuronopyranosyl-3β, 16α-dihydroxyolean-12-en-28-oic acid 28-O-β-d-xylopyranosyl(1→3)-β-d-xylopyranosyl-(1→4)-α-l-rhamnopyranosyl-(1→2)-α-l-arabinopyranosyl ester) and its metabolites in mouse plasma. When lancemaside A (60 mg/kg) was orally administered to mice, echinocystic acid was detected in the blood. Tmax and Cmax of the echinocystic acid were 6.5 ± 1.9 h and 56.7 ± 29.1 ppb. Orally administered lancemaside A was metabolized to lancemaside X (3β, 16α-dihydroxyolean-12-en-28-oic acid 28-O-β-d-xylopyranosyl(1→3)-β-d-xylopyranosyl-(1→4)-α-l-rhamnopyranosyl-(1→2)-α-l-arabinopyranosyl ester) by intestinal microflora in mice, which was metabolized to echinocystic acid by intestinal microflora and/or intestinal tissues. Human intestinal microflora also metabolized lancemaside A to echinocystic acid via lancemaside X. These results suggest that the metabolism by intestinal microflora may play an important role in pharmacological effects of orally administered lancemaside A.  相似文献

The authors studied the acidification capacity of the kidneys in 60 healthy subjects aged 18-70 years after a single load of NH4Cl in a dose of 0.1 g/kg. The acidification load was followed by a significant increase in NH4+ excretion in the first five hours afterwards in young individuals (18-30 years). In subjects aged over 50, changes in NH4+ excretion were nonsignificant under these conditions. Titratable acid excretion rose significantly after the given acidification load in subjects aged 18-60 years; in older subjects it no longer increased significantly. Changes in titratable acid excretion displayed a significant correlation to the renal excretion of phosphates. The findings indicate that the diminished capacity of older subjects to increase titratable acid excretion after an acute NH4Cl load is due to an insufficient decrease in the tubular resorption of phosphates. Renal capacity for adequate reduction of the urine pH after a NH4Cl load was unimpaired.  相似文献

57 children with thymomegaly from 3 months to 3 years of age with acute lower respiratory tract infections were studied. Disturbances of gut microflora - changes in both obligate and potentially harmful symbionts were detected in 70.2% of cases. In 47,5% of cases increased quantity of enterococci was observed. Decreased quantities of bifidobacteria and lactobacilli were observed in all and 27.5% of studied patients respectively. Most diverse gut microflora has been observed in children with pneumonia and thymomegaly of II level. During treatment of children with thymomegaly changes in gut microflora should be considered along with changes in the immune system.  相似文献

ABSTRACT: World population has experienced continuous growth since 1400 A.D. Current projections show a continued increase - but a steady decline in the population growth rate - with the number expected to reach between 8 and 10.5 billion people within 40 years. The elderly population is rapidly rising: in 1950 there were 205 million people aged 60 or older, while in 2000 there were 606 million. By 2050, the global population aged 60 or over is projected to expand by more than three times, reaching nearly 2 billion people 1. Most cancers are age-related diseases: in the US, 50% of all malignancies occur in people aged 65-95. 60% of all cancers are expected to be diagnosed in elderly patients by 2020 2. Further, cancer-related mortality increases with age: 70% of all malignancy-related deaths are registered in people aged 65 years or older 3. Here we introduce the microscopic aspects of aging, the pro-inflammatory phenotype of the elderly, and the changes related to immunosenescence. Then we deal with cancer disease and its development, the difficulty of treatment administration in the geriatric population, and the importance of a comprehensive geriatric assessment. Finally, we aim to analyze the complex interactions of aging with cancer and cancer vaccinology, and the importance of this last approach as a complementary therapy to different levels of prevention and treatment. Cancer vaccines, in fact, should at present be recommended in association to a stronger cancer prevention and conventional therapies (surgery, chemotherapy, radiation therapy), both for curative and palliative intent, in order to reduce morbidity and mortality associated to cancer progression.  相似文献

The study of intestinal microflora was made in clinically healthy young adults living in rural areas of Mongolia, in Russia (Moscow) and in Switzerland, as well as in Swiss citizens of elderly age groups (55-68 and 87-94 years). Essential differences in the quantitative and qualitative characteristics of intestinal microflora both in the inhabitants of different countries as well as in people belonging to different age groups in the same country were established. The results of the study demonstrated the expediency of working out the criteria of the norm for intestinal microflora both for the population of different countries and for people living in the same country, but belonging to different age groups.  相似文献

6-Keto-PGF1 alpha, PGF2 alpha and PGE2 production by homogenates of aorta was unaffected by age, sex or smoking habits. Homogenates of saphenous vein from women aged 51-60 years produced greater and smaller amounts of 6-keto- PGF1 alpha and PGF2 alpha, respectively, than from women aged 41-50 and 61-70 years. In the 41-50 and 61-70 age groups, the amounts of 6-keto-PGF1 alpha and PGF2 alpha produced by homogenates of saphenous vein were smaller and greater, respectively, in women than in men. Cigarette smoking had no effect on PG production by homogenates of female saphenous vein. 6-Keto-PGF1 alpha production by homogenates of male saphenous vein was 20% lower in smokers and ex-smokers than in non-smokers, although this reduction was statistically significant only for ex-smokers. The amounts of PGE2 and PGF2 alpha produced by homogenates of male saphenous vein were smaller in smokers and ex-smokers, respectively, than in non-smokers. In spite of these changes in PG production by homogenates of saphenous vein, the basal outputs of PGs, particularly of 6-keto-PGF1 alpha, from the saphenous vein were little affected by age, sex or smoking habits.  相似文献

为了评价冻干A+C群脑膜炎球菌多糖疫苗(MPV)的安全性和免疫原性,按随机、盲法的原则,评价疫苗免疫后不良反应发生率、抗体阳转率及抗体几何平均滴度(GMT)。将606名健康观察者分为2~5岁、6~12岁、13~17岁、18~60岁四个年龄组,结果显示,该疫苗全身反应发生率2.64%,局部反应发生率1.32%,四个年龄组疫苗免疫后杀菌抗体阳性率分别为100%、100%、99.3%和100%,免疫后A群杀菌抗体GMT分别为1:250.47、1:190.61、1:144.22和1:205.79,免疫后C群杀菌抗体GMT分别为1:273.33、1:551.18、1:788.26和1:809.81,冻干A+C群多糖疫苗在≥2岁人群中具有良好的安全性和免疫原性,建议推广使用A+C群MPV。  相似文献
