Summary The spatial and temporal relationships between cytoplasmic filaments and the morphogenesis of the intestinal brush border were examined by transmission electron microscopy of normally developing tissue and of tissue exposed to a variety of experimental conditions in organ culture. Distinct stages in the development of the brush border were identified: (1) Irregular projections of the apical plasma membrane that contain a network of microfilaments are converted to uniform projections filled with a core bundle of straight microfilaments (7–11d of incubation). (2) Rootlets form by an elongation or aggregation of filaments (11–15d). (3) The terminal web forms first as a network of short filaments just below the apical plasma membrane, then secondarily stratifies into two layers (19d of incubation to 3d posthatching). (4) Core filaments elongate as microvilli achieve their maturity (21d of incubation to 5d posthatching). Microvillus formation was not perturbed by culturing 9d tissue in high concentrations of Ca++ or Mg++, either with or without the ionophore, A23187. Rootlet formation was stimulated by high Mg++, with or without A23187, and, for reasons unknown, by ethanol. Terminal web formation was not stimulated by Mg++ or Ca++, but the integrity of the terminal web was lost when 21d embryonic tissue was cultured with EGTA or cytochalasin B. After stratification, the terminal web could not be disrupted by EGTA, but instead was aggregated to the center of the apical end of the cell.  相似文献

Dendritic cells are professional antigen-presenting cells that are specialized in antigen uptake and presentation. Allergy to cat has increased substantially in recent years and has been shown to be positively associated with asthma. We have recently shown that the mannose receptor (MR), a C-type lectin expressed by dendritic cells, recognizes various glycoallergens from diverse sources and is involved in promoting allergic responses to a major house dust mite allergen in vitro. Here we investigated the potential role of MR in allergic responses to Fel d 1, a major cat allergen. Fel d 1 binding to MR was confirmed by ELISA. Using blocking, gene silencing (siRNA) experiments, and MR knock-out (MR(-/-)) cells, we have demonstrated that MR plays a major role in internalization of Fel d 1 by human and mouse antigen-presenting cells. Intriguingly, unlike other glycoallergens, recognition of Fel d 1 by MR is mediated by the cysteine-rich domain, which correlates with the presence of sulfated carbohydrates in natural Fel d 1. WT and MR(-/-) mice were used to study the role of MR in allergic sensitization to Fel d 1 in vivo. MR(-/-) mice sensitized with cat dander extract and Fel d 1 produced significantly lower levels of total IgE, Fel d 1-specific-IgE and IgG1, the hallmarks of allergic response, compared with WT mice. Our data show for the first time that Fel d 1 is a novel ligand of the cysteine-rich domain of MR and that MR is likely to play a pivotal role in allergic sensitization to airborne allergens in vivo.  相似文献

测定多异瓢虫Hippodamia variegata(Goeze)在13,17,21,25,29和33℃下各虫态的发育历期。结果表明,在不同温度梯度下,多异瓢虫全世代历期依次为:(62.23±3.42)d,(48.31±2.96)d,(25.01±2.53)d,(20.78±1.83)d,(13.68±0.67)d和(10.92±0.58)d。利用最小二乘法确定出多异瓢虫各虫态的发育起点温度和有效积温,其全世代的分别为10.85℃和249.79日.度;由微分法求出Logistic曲线方程中的最大发育速率K,进而由最小二乘法求出a、r,从而确定出多异瓢虫各虫态的发育速率与温度的Logistic曲线关系,其全世代的为:V=0.101156/[1+exp(3.905041-0.183509T)];由Lagrangc中值定理求出各虫态的发育最适温度、适宜温区,其全世代的分别为:Tmid(最适温度)=21.28℃、Tmin(适宜温区下限)=11.55℃、Tmax(适宜温区上限)=31.01℃。  相似文献

Helianthus annuus seedlings grown in an 18 h day at 28 ?C wereexposed to one 6 d chilling pulse of 12 ?C, at spaced timesduring the first 21 d from sowing. At 2 d intervals, the terminalbuds of 5 plants were dissected to determine leaf number andto score the vegetative or flowering state of the shoot apex.It was found that, while the rate of leaf initiation was reducedequally by each chilling pulse, pulses commencing on days 9or 12 reduced the total leaf number from 30 to 26, while pulsesapplied earlier had little effect. This variation is interpretedin terms of the time available for leaf production. The apicesof control plants commenced the visible transition to flowering16 d after sowing. Chilling pulses applied from days 3 or 6delayed this transition by about 5 d, whereas later pulses causedonly a 1•5 d delay. In a second experiment, where the chillingwas reduced to 2 d duration, it was again found that chillingdelayed flowering during the first 8 d and was progressivelyless effective when applied later. From this variation in temperaturesensitivity it is proposed that chilling sunflower plants immediatelyafter sowing delays flowering by extending the vegetative phaseof growth and so delaying the attainment of a ‘ripenessto flower’ state that appears to coincide with the expansionof the first pair of leaves. From day 8 onwards processes leadingto flowering that are relatively temperature insensitive apparentlybecome dominant in the apex and result in visible signs of flowering8 d later, although during this transitional stage leaf primordiacontinue to be initiated on the flanks of the apex.  相似文献

We have synthesized the deoxyribooligonucleotide fragments, constituting the sequence of the lac operator of Escherichia coli. Two of these fragments, d(pApApTpTpGpTpTpApT) (nonamer) and d(pApApTpTpGpTpGpApG) (nonamer), corresponding to the 5' termini of lac operator have been synthesized by the phosphodiester method. The remaining four fragments, d(ApCpApApTpT) (hexamer), d(ApTpApApCpApApTpT) (nonamer), d(ApApTpTpGpTpGpApGpCpGpG) (dodecamer), and d(ApApTpTpGpTpTpApTpCpCpGpCpTpC) (pentadecamer), have been synthesized by an improved phosphotriester method. All of the compounds were first characterized by venom and spleen phosphodiesterase digestion to obtain their base composition. The sequence of these oligonucleotides was fully confirmed by the characteristic mobility shifts of their partial venom phosphodiesterase digestion products on two-dimensional homochromatography. A comparative study of the two methods for the synthesis of oligonucleotides has revealed that the phosphotriester method is more convenient than the phosphodiester method because of higher yields and ease of handling large scale preparations.  相似文献

The ATP-synthesis of the nuclear nucleoside-nucleotide phosphotransferase C was stimulated by progesterone alone and in combination with poly d(A-T) at 10(-10)-10(-9) M, by estradiol/poly d(A-T) at 5-10(-9) M, by cortisol alone and in combination with poly d(A-T) at 10(-9)-10(-8) M and by poly d(A-T) alone. No effect was observed using poly d(C-G). Using increasing adenosine/dTTP as substrates, cortisol, progesterone, estradiol/poly d(A-T) and poly d(A-T) alone caused positive cooperativity of the substrate saturation curves of the allosteric enzyme C by lowering the apparent Ks 0.5-values and by altering Vmax. The dTTP-synthesis of enzyme C was stimulated by both poly d(A-T) and poly d(C-G) alone and in combination with low estradiol (up to 10(-10) M)-and with higher progesterone concentrations (10(-8)-10(-7) M), whereas cortisol inhibited at higher concentrations completely. Using increasing thymidine/ATP as substrates progesterone and estradiol, also in combination with poly d(A-T) were positive effectors of the substrate saturation curves of enzyme C. By this, the apparent Ks 0.5-values or Vmax were changed. Cortisol could be shown to be a negative effector.  相似文献

Felis domesticus allergen 1(Fel d 1) is a 35 kDa tetrameric glycoprotein formed by two heterodimers which elicits IgE responses in 95% of patients with allergy to cat. We have previously established in vitro conditions for the appropriate folding of recombinant Fel d 1 using a direct linkage of chain 1 to chain 2 (construct Fel d 1 (1+2)) and chain 2 to chain 1 (construct Fel d 1 (2+1)). Although the crystal structure of Fel d 1 (2+1) revealed a striking structural similarity to that of uteroglobin, a steroid-inducible cytokine-like molecule with anti-inflammatory and immunomodulatory properties, no functional tetrameric form of Fel d 1 could be identified. Here we present the crystal structure of the Fel d 1 (1+2) tetramer at 1.6 A resolution. Interestingly, the crystal structure of tetrameric Fel d 1 reveals two different calcium-binding sites. Symmetrically positioned on each side of the Fel d 1 tetramer, the external Ca(2+)-binding sites correspond to a putative Ca(2+)-binding site previously suggested for uteroglobin. The second Ca(2+)-binding site lies within the dimerization interface, stabilizing the formation of the Fel d 1 tetramer, and inducing important local conformational changes that directly govern the shape of two water-filled cavities. The crystal structure suggests a potential portal for an unknown ligand. Alternatively, the two cavities could be used by the allergen as a conditional inner space allowing for the spatial rearrangement of centrally localized side-chains, such as Asp130, without altering the overall fold of the molecule. The striking structural similarity of the major cat allergen to uteroglobin, coupled to the identification in the present study of a common Ca(2+)-binding site, let us speculate that Fel d 1 could provoke an allergic response through the modulation of phospholipase A2, by sequestering Ca ions in a similar manner as previously suggested for uteroglobin.  相似文献

The effect of methylation of the O-6 position of guanine in short segments of double helical DNA has been investigated by molecular mechanical simulations on the sequences d(CGCGCG)2, d(CGC[OMG]CG)2, d(CGT[OMG]CG)2, d(CGC[OMC]CG/(CGCGCG), d(CGC[OMG]CG/d(CGTGCG), d(CGCGAATTCGCG)2 and d(CGCGAATTC[OMG]CG)2. Guanines methylated at the O-6 position are found to form hydrogen bonds of roughly equal strength to cytosine and thymine. The optimum structure of these modified base pairs are not dramatically different from normal GC pairs, but both involve some bifurcation of the proton donors of cytosine (4NH2) or thymine (3NH) between the guanine N3 and O6 groups.  相似文献

An improved procedure for the preparation of 3-deaza-2'-deoxyadenosine (d3CA) is described which is suitable for the synthesis of gram quantities of this analogue. Using phosphoramidite chemistry d3CA has been incorporated into the Eco RV restiction endonuclease recognition sequence (underlined) present in the self-complementary dodecamer d(GACGATATCGTC). The modified oligonucleotides have been thoroughly characterised by nucleoside composition analysis, circular dichroism and thermal melting studies. Studies with Eco RV show that incorporation of d3CA into either the central or outer dA-dT base-pair results in a substantial reduction in the rate of cleavage. The two-step conversion of d3CA to 3-deaza-2'-deoxyadenosine-5'-O-triphosphate (d3CATP) via the 5'-O-tosylate is also described. d3CATP is not a substrate in the poly[d(AT)].poly[d(AT)] primed polymerisation for either E. coli DNA polymerase I or Micrococcus luteus DNA polymerase. In a more detailed kinetic analysis d3CATP was shown to be a competitive inhibitor of E. coli DNA polymerase I with respect to dATP.  相似文献

Sso7d from the extreme thermophilic crenarchaeon Sulfolobus solfataricus is a multifunctional protein in in vitro assays, whose in vivo role is still puzzling. Crystals of Sso7d in complex with DNA elucidated the protein surface involved in the binding to the nucleic acid, whereas the locations of the Sso7d regions responsible for a chaperone activity in renaturing protein aggregates (i.e., the protein-binding surface and the site of ATPase activity) are still unknown. We identified the regions of Sso7d involved in protein-binding by limited proteolysis experiments associated to advanced mass spectrometric procedures performed on isolated Sso7d and Sso7d in complex with the peptide melittin. By affinity labeling of Sso7d with the ATP analogue 5'-p-fluorosulfonylbenzoyl adenosine and characterization of the labeled tryptic peptides by tandem mass spectrometry, we found that Y7 and K39 are residues involved in ATP binding/hydrolysis. Insights into the positions of the ligands melittin and ATP were achieved by a molecular modeling study; the models obtained were in agreement with most experimental data. A comparison among the complexes of Sso7d with DNA, with melittin, and with ATP showed that the DNA-binding surface and the protein-binding surface overlap, whereas the ATPase site is mostly independent of the binding sites for the nucleic acid and melittin.  相似文献

Dark respiration rates of the surf diatom species, Chaetoceros armatum, were measured in field experiments throughout a year-round study. Measurements of dissolved oxygen were made by employing the Winkler oxygen technique. Oxygen concentration in the ambient water had a significant positive effect upon respiration rate at all temperatures encountered during the period of study (4.6d̀ up to 13.8 d̀C). Above 8d̀, respiration rate increased with increasing temperature up to about 12.5d̀. Above 12.5d̀, temperature had a detrimental effect. The relationship between the concentration of dissolved oxygen and respiration rate was confirmed experimentally by artificially lowering or raising the oxygen concentration.  相似文献

A comparative study was performed on the venoms of adult specimens of the neotropical rattlesnake, Crotalus durissus, from Guatemala, Costa Rica, Venezuela and Brazil, together with the venom of newborn specimens of C. d. durissus from Costa Rica. Venoms from Brazil (C. d. terrificus) and from newborn specimens of C. d. durissus presented an electrophoretic pattern characterized by the predominance of bands with molecular mass of 36 and 15 kDa, whereas those of adult specimens of C. d. durissus from Guatemala and Costa Rica, and C. d. cumanensis from Venezuela, showed a conspicuous band of 62 kDa, and additional bands of 36, 29 and 15 kDa. Moreover, venoms from C. d. terrificus and C. d. cumanensis showed a prominent band of < 10 kDa that probably corresponds to crotamine, since a 'crotamine-like' activity was detected in these venoms upon intraperitoneal injection in mice. Venoms of C. d. terrificus, C. d cumanensis and newborn C. d. durissus induced higher lethal and myotoxic effects than those of adult C. d. durissus. In contrast, adult C. d. durissus and C. d. cumanensis venoms induced hemorrhage, whereas venoms of C. d. terrificus and newborn C. d. durissus lacked this effect. All venoms showed coagulant effect in plasma, the highest activity being observed in the venom of newborn C. d. durissus. An anti-crotalic antivenom produced by Instituto Butantan (Brazil), using C. d. terrificus venom as antigen, was effective in the neutralization of lethal, myotoxic and coagulant effects of all venoms studied, being ineffective in the neutralization of hemorrhagic activity of the venoms of C. d. cumanensis and C. d. durissus. On the other hand, a polyvalent antivenom produced by Instituto Clodomiro Picado (Costa Rica), using the venoms of C. d. durissus. Bothrops asper and Lachesis stenophrys as antigens, was able to neutralize lethal, myotoxic, coagulant and hemorrhagic effects of C. d. durissus venom, but was ineffective in the neutralization of lethality and myotoxicity of C. d. terrificus, C. d. cumanensis and newborn C. d. durissus venom. The high toxicity of South American and newborn C. d. durissus venoms is related to the presence of high concentrations of the neurotoxic phospholipase A2 complex 'crotoxin'. Accordingly, antivenom from Instituto Butantan has a much higher titer of anti-crotoxin antibodies than antivenom from Instituto Clodomiro Picado. Crotalus durissus represents an example of intraspecies variation in venom composition and pharmacology that has relevant pathophysiologic and therapeutic implications.  相似文献

Persistence length and torsional rigidity for different B-DNA sequences have been calculated by analysing crystal structure database. The values of these parameters for mixed sequence DNA are in good agreement with those estimated by others. Persistence lengths for the homopolymeric sequences, namely poly(dA).poly(dT) and poly(dG).poly(dC), are significantly large compared to those of others as expected from the inability of these sequences to form nucleosome under normal conditions. The heteropolymeric sequences poly(dA-dC).poly(dG-dT) and poly(dG-dC).poly(dG-dC), on the other hand, have smaller persistence lengths. This implies larger flexibility of the d(AC).d(GT), d(CA).d(TG), d(GC).d(GC) and d(CG).d(CG) doublets, some of which constitute the genetic disease forming triplet repeats d(CTG).d(CAG) and d(CGG).d(CCG). Thus it is expected that these triplet repeat sequences are also flexible and wrap around the histone octamer efficiently. Persistence length calculations also indicate larger flexibility for these triplet repeat sequences. Furthermore, our computations reveal that the rigidity of a given DNA sequence is controlled by its ability to form cross-strand bifurcated hydrogen bonds between the successive base pairs. Molecular orbital calculations suggest that these hydrogen bonds are generally extended with bond lengths around 3A.  相似文献

Shiga toxins (Stx) are potent ribosome-inactivating toxins that are produced by Shigella dysenteriae type 1 or certain strains of Escherichia coli. These toxins are composed of one A subunit that can be nicked and reduced to an enzymatically active A1(approximately 27 kDa) and an A2 peptide (approximately 4 kDa) as well as a pentamer of B subunits (approximately 7 kDa/monomer) that binds the eukaryotic cell. Purified Shiga toxin type 2d is activated 10- to 1000-fold for Vero cell toxicity by preincubation with mouse or human intestinal mucus or purified mouse elastase, whereas Stx2, Stx2c, Stx2e and Stx1 are not activatable. E. coli strains that produce the activatable Stx2d are more virulent in a streptomycin (str)-treated mouse model of infection [lethal dose 50% (LD50) = 101] than are E. coli strains that produce any other type of Stx (LD50 = 1010). To identify the element(s) of Stx2d that are required for mucus-mediated activation, toxin genes were constructed such that the expressed mutant toxins consisted of hybrids of Stx2d and Stx1, Stx2 or Stx2e, contained deletions of up to six amino acids from the C-terminus of the A2 of Stx2d or were altered in one or both of the two amino acids of the A2 of Stx2d that represent the only amino acid differences between the activatable Stx2d and the non-activatable Stx2c. Analysis of these mutant toxins revealed that the A2 portion of Stx2d is required for toxin activation and that activation is abrogated if the Stx1 or Stx2e B subunit is substituted for the Stx2d B polypeptide. Furthermore, mass spectrometry performed on buffer- or elastase-treated Stx2d indicated that the A2 peptide of the activated Stx2d was two amino acids smaller than the A2 peptide from buffer-treated Stx2d. This finding, together with the toxin hybrid results, suggests that activation involves B pentamer-dependent cleavage by elastase of the C-terminal two amino acids from the Stx2d A2 peptide.  相似文献

目的为了为揭示肌萎缩脊髓侧索硬化症(amyotrophic lateral sclerosis,ALS)认知功能障碍的机制提供依据,观察不同年龄ALS转基因小鼠海马中突触囊泡蛋白(synaptophysin,Syp)的表达情况。方法取95d、108d和122dALS转基因鼠海马,应用免疫荧光、Westernblot、RT-PCR技术检测Syp在海马中的表达变化。结果与同窝野生型鼠比较,Syp蛋白和mRNA表达水平在95d龄ALS转基因鼠海马中无明显变化,在108d与122d龄ALS转基因鼠海马中明显降低。结论Syp在ALS转基因鼠海马中表达减少表明,突触可塑性降低是ALS学习记忆能力下降的重要病理学基础。  相似文献

The conformations of double stranded d(GGAAATTTCC) x 2, d(GGTTTAAACC) x 2, d(CGCAAAAAAGCG).d(CGCTTTTTTGCG) and d(GCATTTTGAAACG).d(CGTTTCAAAATGC) have been studied by means of NMR spectroscopy. Analyses of cross peaks in NOESY spectra between H2 of an adenine and H1' of the deoxyribose in the 3'-neighbouring residue on the complementary strand revealed that the minor groove of the oligo(dA) tract is compressed gradually from 5' to 3' along the tract in four oligonucleotides. A new model is proposed as to DNA bending based on the evidence of gradual compression of the minor groove. This model can explain why d(GGAAATTTCC) n x 2 and d(GAAAATTTTC) n x 2 are bent, and d(GGTTTAAACC) n x 2 and d(GTTTTAAAAC) n x 2 are not bent. The bending of d(AjN10-j) n x 2 sequences can also be explained.  相似文献

The substantial role of endothelin-1 (ET-1) in the development of cerebral vasospasm (CVS) after subarachnoidal hemorrhage (SAH) has been demonstrated by numerous experimental and, recently, clinical investigations. Whether the expression or function of the ET(B) receptor is altered in CVS is still unclear, however. The aim of the present study was, therefore, to characterize the cerebroarterial ET(B) receptor function during CVS. Experimental CVS was induced by the rat double-hemorrhage model. Reduction of the cerebral blood flow (CBF) was confirmed by magnetic resonance perfusion-weighted imaging. Animals were sacrificed on days 3 (d3) and 5 (d5) after CVS induction. The basilar arteries (BA) were dissected, cut into ring segments, and prepared for measurement of isometric force in an organ bath. Concentration-effect curves (CECs) were constructed by cumulative application of ET-1, acetylcholine (Ach), or sarafotoxin S6c (S6c). Segments with (E+) endothelial function were used. CECs were compared by the maximum effect (E(max)), the pD2, and the shift calculated on the pD2 level. The pD2 is the negative decadic logarithm of the concentration producing the half maximal effect (-log10EC50). After SAH, the relative regional CBF in the d3 and d5 groups was reduced to 63% and 32%, respectively, of the CBF in controls. ET-1 induced a dose-dependent contraction of segments with and segments without CVS. In E+ segments, the E(max) for ET-1 was not significantly changed after SAH (mean values [ +/- SEM] of 104% +/- 4% for the control group, 106% +/- 4% for the d3 group, and 104% +/- 3% for the d5 group). The CECs, however, were significantly shifted to the left versus the control by factors of 2.4 in the d3 group and 3.6 in the d5 group. Relaxation by S6c was significantly reduced after SAH (E(max:) 73% +/- 11% in the control group, 21% +/- 13% in the d3 group, and 13% +/- 8% in the d5 group), whereas relaxation associated with Ach was not significantly changed (E(max): 45% +/- 7% in the control group, 56% +/- 6% in the d3 group, and 43% +/- 6% in the d5 group). Significant contraction by S6c was not observed in E+ and E - segments in any of the study groups. The present data indicate the loss of the ET(B) receptor-mediated relaxation of the cerebral arteries in cases of CVS, which is independent of the endothelial nitric oxide synthase level.  相似文献

The loop of four thymines in the sodium form of the dimeric folded quadruplex [d(G3T4G3)]2 assumes a well-defined structure in which hydrogen bonding between the thymine bases appears to contribute to the stability and final conformation of the quadruplex. We have investigated the importance of the loop interactions by systematically replacing each thymine in the loop with a cytosine. The quadruplexes formed by d(G3CT3G3), d(G3TCT2G3), d(G3T2CTG3) and d(G3T3CG3) in the presence of 150 mM Na+ were studied by gel mobility, circular dichroism and 1H NMR spectroscopy. The major species formed by d(G3CT3G3), d(G3TCT2G3) and d(G3T3CG3) at 1 mM strand concentration at neutral pH is a dimeric folded quadruplex. d(G3T2CTG3) has anomalous behaviour and associates into a greater percentage of linear four-stranded quadruplex than the other three oligonucleotides at neutral pH and at the same concentration. The linear four-stranded quadruplex has a greater tendency to oligomerize to larger ill-defined structures, as demonstrated by broad 1H NMR resonances. At pH 4, when the cytosine is protonated, there is a greater tendency for each of the oligonucleotides to form some four-stranded linear quadruplex, except for d(G3T2CTG3), which has the reverse tendency. The experimental results are discussed in terms of hydrogen bonding within the thymine loop.  相似文献

The development of the vasculature of the pars distalis of two strains of rat, Fischer 344 (F344) and Lewis (LEW), was followed in 16-day (16d) and 20-day (20d) fetuses, and in 1-day (1d), 5d, 20d, 50d, and 6-month-old females. No differences in the two strains were apparent in 16d fetuses; and the capillaries that were present were immature, i.e., tall, non-fenestrated endothelial cells, and were surrounded by poorly delineated pericapillary spaces. Immature capillaries also were predominant in 20d fetuses of both strains. Agranular folliculo-stellate cells were identifiable, projecting endfeet to the parenchymal basal lamina in 20d F344 fetuses, but not in LEW fetuses. Postnatally, the capillaries of LEW rats became progressively more thin-walled and fenestrated, and were surrounded by a pericapillary space that was well delimited by basal laminae at 20d. In 50d and 6-month LEW rats, capillaries were intact and surrounded by well-defined pericapillary spaces. By comparison in F344 rats, the capillaries remained more immature even in 50d rats and older. In addition, in F344 rats focal disruptions in endothelial cells and disruptions in parenchymal and capillary basal laminae were present in all postnatal stages, and a dramatic accumulation of plasma was evident within the pericapillary spaces at 20d. Endfeet processes of folliculo-stellate cells were abundant at the parenchymal basal lamina of 1d and 5d F344 neonates, but only rarely were identified in LEW neonates. Some activation of folliculo-stellate cells, i.e., increased numbers of lysosomes and dilated endoplasmic reticulum, was present in 50d F344 rats. Connective-tissue cells within the pericapillary space also were numerous and activated in F344 rats. Discrete gaps in the parenchymal basal lamina were evident subjacent to the folliculo-stellate cell endfeet in F344 rats but not in LEW rats. The vascular bed of F344 rats differs in its development from that of LEW rats. Characteristic of the F344 strain is a persistence of more immature capillaries, an inherent vascular fragility, and an activated state of folliculo-stellate cells.  相似文献
