AimThe aim of the study was to evaluate computed tomography (CT) artifacts and image recognition of the CyberKnife system. Regarding fiducial markers, VISICOIL of 0.5 mm × 5.0 mm and 0.75 mm × 5.0 mm, ball-shaped Gold Anchor (GA) of 0.28 mm × 10 mm and 0.28 mm × 20 mm, were compared with the standard cylinder marker of 0.9 mm × 3.0 mm (ACCULOC).BackgroundRecently, various kinds of commercial fiducial markers have been available in CyberKnife treatment.Materials and methodsThe CT images of a water equivalent gel with each fiducial marker were acquired for the evaluation of CT artifacts. The evaluation was performed using the standard deviation of Hounsfield Unit (HU) value for a rectangle region near the fiducial marker. Then, to evaluate the image recognition, each fiducial marker was located to overlap in the target locating system (TLS) for the two sites; the vertebral bone and the pubic bone.ResultsFor CT artifacts, the standard deviations of the VISICOIL of 0.5 mm × 5.0 mm was the smallest. The image recognition of four fiducial markers had a value close to the standard cylinder marker and was feasible for common use, but was slightly poorer when using GA of 0.28 mm × 10 mm in the dynamic conditions.ConclusionOur results indicated that VISICOIL 0.5 × 5.0 mm and the GAs can be used nearly always for CyberKnife treatment in spite of their much thinner needles than those of cylinder types.  相似文献

Benthic communities of macroinvertebrates, algae, and microorganisms were concurrently collected using a Surber sampler (30 × 30 m2; 300 μm mesh), brush (5 × 5 cm2), and syringe (100 mL; Denaturing Gradient Gel Electrophoresis), respectively, to determine the ecological integrity of streams with different levels of pollution. Macroinvertebrates provided a clearer representation of the gradient of pollution, while a broader scope of species distribution was observed for algae and microorganisms, including sites severely polluted with heavy metals. Species associations among different taxa were presented on the Self-Organizing Map (SOM) and Nonmetric Multidimensional Scaling (NMDS) based on environmental factors. After screening, indicator species visualized on the SOM represented a wider range of environmental impacts and were more illustrative with benthic macroinvertebrates in least polluted sites. In contrast NMDS presented species more closely associated with overall variance of communities with severe pollution, mainly in microorganisms and algae. Multi-taxa community analysis using SOM and NMDS in combination would provide a comprehensive assessment for addressing ecological integrity in streams.  相似文献

A fast and efficient preparative HPLC-PDA method was developed for the separation and isolation of four rare isomeric kaempferol diglycosides from leaves of Prunus spinosa L. The separation procedure of the enriched diglycoside fraction of the 70% (v/v) aqueous methanolic leaf extract was first optimised on analytical XBridge C18 column (100 mm × 4.6 mm i.d., 5 μm) and central composite design combined with response surface methodology was utilized to establish the optimal separation conditions. The developed method was directly transferred to preparative XBridge Prep C18 column (100 mm × 19 mm i.d., 5 μm) and the final separation was accomplished by isocratic elution with 0.5% acetic acid-methanol-tetrahydrofuran (75.2:16.6:8.2, v/v/v) as the mobile phase, at a flow rate of 13.6 mL/min, in less than 12 min for a single run. Under these conditions, four flavonoid diglycosides: kaempferol 3-O-α-l-arabinofuranoside-7-O-α-l-rhamnopyranoside, kaempferol 3,7-di-O-α-l-rhamnopyranoside (kaempferitrin), and reported for the first time for P. spinosa kaempferol 3-O-β-d-xylopyranoside-7-O-α-l-rhamnopyranoside (lepidoside) and kaempferol 3-O-α-l-arabinopyranoside-7-O-α-l-rhamnopyranoside, were isolated in high separation yield (84.8–94.5%) and purity (92.45–99.79%). Their structures were confirmed by extensive 1D and 2D NMR studies. Additionally, the UHPLC-PDA-ESI–MS3 qualitative profiling led to the identification of twenty-one phenolic compounds and confirmed that the isolates were the major components of the leaf material.  相似文献

A rapid and selective method for simultaneous determination of cyclophosphamide and its metabolite carboxyethylphosphoramide mustard (CEPM) was developed using online sample preparation and separation with tandem mass spectrometric detection. Diluted plasma was injected onto an extraction column (Cyclone MAX 0.5 mm × 50 mm, >30 μm), the sample matrix was washed with an aqueous solution, and retained analytes were transferred to an analytical column (Gemini 3 μm C18 110A, 100 mm × 2.0 mm) using a gradient mobile phase prior to detection by MS/MS. Analytes were detected in an API-3000 LC-MS/MS system using positive multiple-reaction monitoring mode (m/z 261/140 and 293/221 for CTX and CEPM, respectively). Online extraction recoveries were 76% and 72% for cyclophosphamide and CEPM. Within-day and between-day variabilities were <3.0%, and accuracies were between ?6.9% and 5.2%. This method has been used to measure plasma cyclophosphamide and CEPM concentrations in an ongoing Phase II study in children with newly diagnosed medulloblastoma.  相似文献

New ionic liquid-modified silica sorbents were developed by the surface chemical modification of the commercial silica using synthesized ionic liquids. The obtained ionic liquid-modified particles were successfully used as a special sorbent in solid-phase extraction process to isolation of cryptotanshinone, tanshinone I and tanshinone IIA from Salvia Miltiorrhiza Bunge. Different washing and elution solvents such as water, methanol and methanol–acetic acid (90/10, v/v) were evaluated. A comparison of ionic liquid-modified silica cartridges and traditional silica cartridge show that higher recovery was observed using ionic liquid-modified silica sorbents. A quantitative analysis was conducted by high-performance liquid chromatography using a C18 column (5 μm, 150 mm × 4.6 mm) with methanol–water (78:22, v/v, and containing 0.5% acetic acid) as a mobile phase. Good linearity was obtained from 0.5 × 10?4 to 0.5 mg/mL (r2 > 0.999) with the relative standard deviations less than 4.8%.  相似文献

The present study describes the use of short columns to speed up LC–MS quantification in MS binding assays. The concept of MS binding assays follows closely the principle of traditional radioligand binding but uses MS for the quantification of bound marker thus eliminating the need for a radiolabelled ligand. The general strategy of increasing the throughput of this type of binding assay by the use of short columns is exemplified for NO 711 binding addressing GAT1, the most prevalent GABA transporter in the CNS. Employing short RP-18 columns with the dimension of 20 mm × 2 mm and 10 mm × 2 mm at flow rates up to 1000 μL/min in an isocratic mode retention times of 8–9 s and chromatographic cycle times of 18 s could be achieved. Based on the internal standard [2H10]NO 711 fast chromatography methods were developed for four different columns that enabled quantification of NO 711 in a range from 50 pM up to 5 nM directly out of reconstituted matrix samples without further sample preparation. A validation of the established methods with respect to linearity, intra- and inter-batch accuracy and precision showed that the requirements according to the FDA guideline for bioanalytical methods are met. Furthermore the established short column methods were applied to the quantification of NO 711 in saturation experiments. The results obtained (i.e., Kd- and Bmax-values) were almost identical as compared to those determined employing standard column dimension (55 mm × 2 mm).  相似文献

The purpose of this study was to compare how aquatic macroinvertebrates are affected by certain management practices and agrochemicals in organic and conventional rice cultivations (treatments) in northwestern of Costa Rica. We sampled macroinvertebrates in both treatments, at the water entrances (irrigation) and exits (drainage) during two cycles (8 months total) of rice field cultivation. We employed a water quality index using macroinvertebrates (BMWP/CR) as bioindicators in both management treatments. Insect family mean (P = 0.0019) and species mean richness (P = 0.0340) were greater in the organic vs. the conventional treatments as well as at the entrances rather than their exits. Both macroinvertebrates mean abundance (P = 0.0281) and insects mean abundances (P = 0.0065) were greater at the organic vs. the conventional treatments. The water quality index (BMWP/CR) was greater in the organic treatment at the entrance (124) comparing with the exit (72), and also at the conventional entrance (92) vs. the exit (66), thus showing that the management practices affected the macroinvertebrate community. The organic treatment showed the settlement of a greater number of families and species of macroinvertebrates both in general and in those considered sensitive to pollution than in the conventional treatment. This sensitive group of macroinvertebrates (Baetis sp., Fallceon sp., Leptohyphes sp., Tricorythodes sp., Farrodes sp., Phyllogomphoides sp., Hydroptila sp., Mayatrichia sp., Neotrichia sp., Oxyethira sp., Nectopsyche sp.1, Nectopsyche sp.2, Oecetis sp.) can be used as a bioindicators of water quality in these agroecosystems. On the contrary, more macroinvertebrates resistant to pollution were found in the conventional compared to the organic treatment, showing that aquatic macroinvertebrates respond to the type of management/products that are applied to the rice field.  相似文献

Diffusion tensor imaging (DTI) and tractographic reconstruction may be applied for in vivo clinical spinal cord studies. However, this structure represents a challenge to current acquisition and reconstruction strategies, due to its small size, motion artifacts, partial volume effects and low signal-to-noise-ratio (SNR). Aims of this work were to select the best approach for the estimate of SNR and to use it for spinal cord diffusion weighted (DW) sequence optimization.Seven methods for the estimate of SNR were compared on uniform phantom DW images, and the best performing approach (single ROI for signal and noise, difference of images—SNRdiff) was applied for the following in vivo sequence evaluations.Fifteen sequences with different parameters (voxel size, repetition (TR) and echo (TE) times) were compared according to SNR, resolution, fractional anisotropy (FA) and tractography performances on three healthy volunteers. In vivo optimization of DW sequences resulted in: axial sequence, with voxel size = 1.5 mm × 1.5 mm × 3.5 mm, TR = 3200 ms and TE = 89 ms, sagittal sequence with voxel size = 2.2 mm × 2.2 mm × 2 mm, TR = 3000 ms and TE = 84 ms.An objective method tested on phantom and a practical index for in vivo spinal cord DTI SNR estimation allowed to obtain axial and sagittal optimized sequences, providing excellent tractographic results, with acceptable acquisition times for in vivo clinical applications.  相似文献

Simultaneous determination of the organophosphorus pesticides dimethoate, fenthion, diazinon and chlorpyrifos in human blood by HPLC–tandem mass spectrometry was developed and validated. The pesticides were extracted by a simple one-step protein precipitation procedure. Chromatography was performed on a Luna C18 (30 mm × 2.0 mm, 3 μm) column, using a step-gradient at a flow rate of 0.4 ml/min. The assay was linear from 0.5 to 100 ng/ml (r2 > 0.992, n = 24) for all pesticides. The inter- and intra-day accuracy and precision for the method was 96.6–106.1% and <10%, respectively. The lower limit of quantification was 0.5 ng/ml. In conclusion, the method described displays analytical performance characteristics that are suitable for the quantification of these pesticides in cases of acute poisoning.  相似文献

A rapid and sensitive LC–MS/MS method for the determination of vardenafil and its major metabolite, N-desethylvardenafil, in human plasma using sildenafil as an internal standard was developed and validated. The analytes were extracted from 0.25-mL aliquots of human plasma by liquid–liquid extraction, using 1 mL of ethyl acetate. Chromatographic separation was carried on a Luna C18 column (50 mm × 2.0 mm, 3 μm) at 40 °C, with an isocratic mobile phase consisting of 10 mM ammonium acetate (pH 5.0) and acetonitrile (10:90, v/v), a flow rate of 0.2 mL/min, and a total run time of 2 min. Detection and quantification were performed using a mass spectrometer in the selected reaction-monitoring mode with positive electrospray ionization at m/z 489.1  151.2 for vardenafil, m/z 460.9  151.2 for N-desethylvardenafil, and m/z 475.3  100.1 for the internal standard (IS), respectively. This assay was linear over a concentration range of 0.5–200 ng/mL with a lower limit of quantification of 0.5 ng/mL for both vardenafil and N-desethylvardenafil. The coefficient of variation for the assay precision was <13.6%, and the accuracy was >93.1%. This method was successfully applied to a pharmacokinetic study after oral administration of vardenafil 20 mg tablet in Korean healthy male volunteers.  相似文献

A new biomass index for monitoring the impact of marine fish cage farming on the benthic environment was evaluated at seven commercial fish farms in the eastern Mediterranean. At each farm, stations near and further away from the cages were sampled for macrofauna and geochemical variables during July 2001, and March and October 2002. Benthic samples were sequentially sieved through 1.0 and 0.5 mm mesh screens and a biomass fractionation index (BFI) was estimated as follows: biomass having passed through 1.0 mm and retained on 0.5 mm sieve only/total biomass (biomass retained on 1.0 mm + 0.5 mm sieve). BFI was quantitatively assessed and compared with the geochemical faunistic and management practice data. BFI was found to decrease consistently with distance from fish cages and particularly after 10 m from the edge of the cages. At all farms, BFI was found to be significantly correlated with distance, redox potential and organic carbon. Multiple regression analysis showed that BFI incorporates various components of sediment geochemistry (sediment grain size and total organic carbon) as well as distance and feeding rates. Although BFI needs to be further tested in different geographic locations and under different management practices, the results seem to be promising for long-term monitoring programmes since it provides a simple and inexpensive solution for assessing the effects of benthic organic enrichment due to fish farm activities.  相似文献

Warneckea populations from “sand-forest” or “sand-thicket” habitats in Tembe Elephant Park, South Africa, and Licuati Forest Reserve in adjacent southern Mozambique were previously thought to be a small-leaved form of W. sousae, which typically includes larger-leaved plants ranging from central Mozambique northward to Tanzania. We examine this hypothesis using molecular and morphological evidence. Maximum-likelihood phylogenetic analysis of combined nrDNA ETS and ITS sequence data failed to resolve W. sousae and the Maputaland populations as an exclusively monophyletic group. Instead, the Kenyan endemic W. mouririifolia was strongly supported as the sister species of W. sousae, and the Maputaland plants were resolved in a separate, strongly supported clade together with populations of an as-yet undetermined Warneckea species from northern Mozambique. A hypothesis of exclusive monophyly for the plants from Tembe and Licuati had moderate support in separate ETS and ITS1 analyses (bootstrap proportions of 88% and 81%, respectively). Statistically significant differences in leaf dimensions and internode length were found between the Maputaland plants and typical W. sousae. We conclude that the populations from Tembe and Licuati represent a distinct species, which we describe as W. parvifolia. The species differs from W. sousae in having shorter internodes (mostly 5–25 mm not 10–60 mm long), smaller leaves (mostly 14–32 × 8–19 mm not 40–76 × 22–52 mm), shorter petioles (mostly 1–1.5 mm not 1.5–6 mm long), smaller flowers (hypanthium 1 × 1.5–1.75 mm not 1.5–2 × 2 mm; calyx lobes 0.5 mm not 0.75 mm long; staminal filaments 3–4 mm not 5 mm long; style 4–5 mm not 9 mm long), and globose fruit (not obovoid). An IUCN conservation status of Endangered (EN) B1a, b(ii, iii) is indicated for W. parvifolia, due to its limited distribution and projected declines in its habitat quality and area of occupancy.  相似文献

A high spatial resolution sampling of Alexandrium pacificum cysts, along with sediment characteristics (% H2O, % organic matter (OM), granulometry), vegetative cell abundance and environmental factors were investigated at 123 study stations in Bizerte Lagoon (Tunisia). Morphological examination and ribotyping of cells obtained from a culture called ABZ1 obtained from a cyst isolated in lagoon sediment confirmed that the species was A. pacificum. The toxin profile from the ABZ1 culture harvested during exponential growth phase was simple and composed of the N-sulfocarbamoyl toxins C1 (9.82 pg toxin cell−1), the GTX6 (3.26 pg toxin cell−1) and the carbamoyl toxin Neo-STX (0.38 pg toxin cell−1). The latter represented only 2.8% of the total toxins in this strain.High abundance of A. pacificum cysts correlated with enhanced percentages of water and organic matter in the sediment. In addition, sediment fractions of less than 63 μm were examined as a favorable potential seedbed for initiation of future blooms and outbreaks of A. pacificum in the lagoon. A significant difference in the cyst distribution pattern was recorded among the lagoon's different zones, with the higher cyst abundance occurring in the inner waters. Also, no correlation due to the specific hydrodynamics of the lagoon was observed in the spatial distribution of A. pacificum cysts and vegetative cells.  相似文献

Until the early 1990s, the Ichkeul lagoon (80 km2, Tunisia) was characterised by the seasonal alternation of low and high salinity and by the presence (mainly in summer and autumn) of more or less extensive Potamogeton pectinatus beds (western and south-eastern zones). The yield was largely consumed by wintering waterfowl populations (almost exclusively phytophagous), making this lagoon one of the most important wintering places in northern Africa, and recognized as a high ecological value World Heritage site. Ruppia cirrhosa (together with Chaetomorpha linum floating mats) was confined to a small north-eastern or eastern zone of the lagoon. This is the distribution which the authors observed in 1993, in the course of a study running through 1998, with P. pectinatus covering 37 km2 (28,236 t DW) and 30 km2 (20,139 t DW) in summer and autumn, respectively. In 1994, P. pectinatus had disappeared, an event which had already occurred in the past; however, this situation was still apparent in 1998; such a 5 year absence had never been reported since at least the early 1960s. From 1996 onwards, R. cirrhosa and C. linum “moved” to the sites formerly occupied by P. pectinatus. Direct causes (shortage of freshwater input, salinity increase) and indirect ones (construction of dams in the water catchment area of the lagoon, a relative drought) can account for these abrupt changes. The persistence of this situation could threaten the Ichkeul lagoon, as a major site for the wintering of phytophagous waterfowl.  相似文献

Community-based assessment of protozoa is usually performed at a taxon-dependent resolution. As an inherent ‘taxon-free’ trait, however, body-size spectrum has proved to be a highly informative indicator to summarize the functional structure of a community in both community research and monitoring programs in aquatic ecosystems. To demonstrate the relationships between the taxon-free resolution of protozoan communities and water conditions, the body-size spectra of biofilm-dwelling protozoa and their seasonal shift and environmental drivers were explored based on an annual dataset collected monthly from coastal waters of the Yellow Sea, northern China. Body sizes were calculated in equivalent spherical diameter (ESD). Among a total of 8 body-size ranks, S2 (19–27 μm), S3 (28–36 μm), S4 (37–50 μm) and S5 (53–71 μm) were the top four levels in frequency of occurrence, while rank S1 (13–17 μm), S2 and S4 were the dominant levels in abundance. These dominants showed a clear seasonal succession: S2/S4 (spring)  S2/S4 (summer)  S4 (autumn)  S2 (winter) in frequency of occurrence; S1 (spring)  S4 (summer)  S2 (autumn)  S1 (winter) in abundance. Bootstrapped average analysis showed a clear seasonal shift in body-size spectra of the protozoa during a 1-year cycle, and the best-matching analysis demonstrated that the temporal variations in frequency of occurrence and abundance were significantly correlated with water temperature, pH, dissolved oxygen (DO), alone or in combination with chemical oxygen demand (COD) and nutrients. Thus, the body-size spectra of biofilm-dwelling protozoa were seasonally shaped and might be used as a time and cost efficient bioindicator of water quality in marine ecosystems.  相似文献

High level expression of recombinant human granulocyte colony-stimulating factor (rhG-CSF) in Escherichia coli (E. coli) usually forms insoluble and inactive aggregates, i.e. inclusion bodies. In the present work, high performance hydrophobic interaction chromatography (HPHIC) was applied to the refolding of rhG-CSF, which was solubilized by 8.0 mol L?1 urea from the inclusion bodies. First a laboratorial scale column (10 mm × 20 mm I.D.) was employed to study the refolding process. Several factors, including concentration of ammonium sulfate, pH of the mobile phase and flow rate, were investigated in details. The results indicated that the rhG-CSF produced by E. coli could be successfully refolded with simultaneous purification by using HPHIC. The refolding process was further scaled up by using a large column (50 mm × 200 mm I.D.). 200 mL of rhG-CSF solution solubilized by 8.0 mol L?1 urea, with a total amount of protein around 1.6 g, could be loaded onto the large column at one time. Under these conditions, the obtained rhG-CSF had a specific activity of 2.3 × 108 IU mg?1 and a purity of 95.4%, the mass recovery during the purification was 36.9%. This work might have great impact on practical production of rhG-CSF, and it also shed a light on protein refolding using liquid chromatography at large scales.  相似文献

To eliminate the diastereomer interference on Telcagepant (MK-0974) determination during clinical study support, on-line high turbulent-flow liquid chromatography (HTLC) methods, HTLC-A and HTLC-B that covered dynamic range of 0.5–500 nM and 5–5000 nM, respectively, were developed. To meet the requirement of rapid assay transfer among multiple laboratories and analysts, a solid-phase extraction (SPE) assay was derived from the existing HTLC-B assay under the same dynamic range. The on-line HTLC assays were achieved through direct injection of plasma samples, extraction of analyte with a Cohesive C18 column (50 mm × 0.5 mm, 50 μm), followed by HPLC separation on a FluoPhase RP column (100 mm × 2.1 mm, 5 μm) and MS/MS detection. The off-line SPE assay used Waters Oasis®HLB μElution plate to extract the analytes from plasma matrix before injecting on a FluoPhase RP column (150 mm × 2.1 mm, 5 μm) for LC–MS/MS analysis. Under both on-line and off-line assay conditions, the diastereomer 1c was chromatographically separated from MK-0974. Cross-validation with the pooled samples demonstrated that both on-line and off-line assays provided comparable data with a difference of <2.6%. The assays were proved to be specific, accurate and reliable, and have been used to support multiple clinical studies. The pros and cons of on-line and off-line assays with regard to man power involved in sample preparation, total analysis time, carryover, cost efficiency, and the requirement for assay transfer are discussed.  相似文献

The transient actions of gonadal steroids on the adult brain facilitate social behaviors, including reproduction. In male rodents, testosterone acts in the posterior medial amygdala (MeP) and medial preoptic area (MPOA) to promote mating. Adult neurogenesis occurs in both regions. The current study determined if testosterone and/or sexual behavior promote cell proliferation and survival in MeP and MPOA. Two experiments were conducted using the thymidine analog BrdU. First, gonad-intact and castrated male hamsters (n = 6/group) were compared 24 h or 7 weeks after BrdU. In MeP, testosterone-stimulated cell proliferation 24 h after BrdU (intact: 22.8 ± 3.9 cells/mm2, castrate: 13.2 ± 1.4 cells/mm2). Testosterone did not promote cell proliferation in MPOA. Seven weeks after BrdU, cell survival was sparse in both regions (MeP: 2.5 ± 0.6 and MPOA: 1.7 ± 0.2 cells/mm2), and was not enhanced by testosterone. In Experiment 2, gonad-intact sexually-experienced animals were mated weekly to determine if regular neural activation enhances cell survival 7 weeks after BrdU in MeP and MPOA. Weekly mating failed to increase cell survival in MeP (8.1 ± 1.6 vs. 9.9 ± 3.2 cells/mm2) or MPOA (3.9 ± 0.7 vs. 3.4 ± 0.3 cells/mm2). Furthermore, mating at the time of BrdU injection did not stimulate cell proliferation in MeP (8.9 ± 1.7 vs. 8.1 ± 1.6 cells/mm2) or MPOA (3.6 ± 0.5 vs. 3.9 ± 0.7 cells/mm2). Taken together, our results demonstrate a limited capacity for neurogenesis in the mating circuitry. Specifically, cell proliferation in MeP and MPOA are differentially influenced by testosterone, and the birth and survival of new cells in either region are not enhanced by reproductive activity.  相似文献

A rapid, specific and sensitive liquid chromatography–electrospray ionization-tandem mass spectrometry method was developed and validated for determination of cymipristone in human plasma. Mifepristone was used as the internal standard (IS). Plasma samples were deproteinized using methanol. The compounds were separated on a ZORBAX SB C18 column (50 mm × 2.1 mm i.d., dp 1.8 μm) with gradient elution at a flow-rate of 0.3 ml/min. The mobile phase consisted of 10 mM ammonium acetate and acetonitrile. The detection was performed on a triple-quadruple tandem mass spectrometer by selective reaction monitoring (SRM) mode via electrospray ionization. Target ions were monitored at [M+H]+ m/z 498  416 and 430  372 in positive electrospray ionization (ESI) mode for cymipristone and IS, respectively. Linearity was established for the range of concentrations 0.5–100 ng/ml with a coefficient correlation (r) of 0.9996. PurposeTo evaluate the influence of energy spectra, mesh sizes, high Z element on dose and PVDR in Microbeam Radiation Therapy (MRT) based on 1-D analogy-mouse-head-model (1-D MHM) and 3-D voxel-mouse-head-phantom (3-D VMHP) by Monte Carlo simulation.MethodsA Microbeam-Array-Source-Model was implemented into EGSnrc/DOSXYZnrc. The microbeam size is assumed to be 25 μm, 50 μm or 75 μm in thickness and fixed 1 mm in height with 200 μm c-t-c. The influence of the energy spectra of ID17@ESRF and BMIT@CLS were investigated. The mesh size was optimized. PVDR in 1-D MHM and 3-D VMHP was compared with the homogeneous water phantom. The arc influence of 3-D VMHP filled with water (3-D VMHWP) was compared with the rectangle phantom.ResultsPVDR of the lower BMIT@CLS spectrum is 2.4 times that of ID17@ESRF for lower valley dose. The optimized mesh is 5 µm for 25 µm, and 10 µm for 50 µm and 75 µm microbeams with 200 µm c-t-c. A 500 μm skull layer could make PVDR difference up to 62.5% for 1-D MHM. However this influence is limited (<5%) for the farther homogeneous media (e.g. 600 µm). The peak dose uniformity of 3-D VMHP at the same depth could be up to 8% for 1.85 mm × 1 mm irradiation field, whereas that of 3-D VMHWP is <1%. The high Z element makes the dose uniformity enhance in target. The surface arc could affect the superficial PVDR (from 44% to 21% in 0.2 mm depth), whereas this influence is limited for the more depth (<1%).ConclusionAn accurate MRT dose calculation algorithm should include the influence of 3-D heterogeneous media.  相似文献
