Abstract

A field experiment was conducted during 2002 – 2003 and 2003 – 2004 to study the impact of controlling the insect vector, Whitefly, of yellow mosaic virus on the performance of green gram grown under rainfed lowland rice fallow situation. Insecticide, Imidachloprid 12.5 kg a.i./ha, was applied at 15- and 30-days growth to four green gram varieties, direct-sown under residual soil moisture conditions after the harvest of kharif rice. Results showed crops under YMV-management achieved 65.67% more seed yield producing 11.68 q/ha, which was significantly higher than the crops under no YMV management (7.05 q ha?1). Plants which had been treated with insecticide were found to be less affected (8.50%) by YMV compared to those which had no treatment (20.10%). Varieties PDM 54 and PDM 11 emerged as superior, producing significantly higher seed yields, 12.73 and 11.69 q/ha respectively; while Pusa vishal (8.21 q ha?1) and Pusa 105 (7.85 q ha?1) produced moderately compared with the local variety (6.31 q ha?1). In addition, PDM 54 and PDM 11 showed relatively more resistance against YMV infestation recording 5.23% and 6.01% infected plants.  相似文献

Two types of possibly homologous glands different in structure and formation have been found. One of them is represented in C. vinula L. and N. anceps Goeze, it is an endocrine organ. The other in S. ligustri, S. ocellata, M. neustria and L. monacha has an excretory duct and therefore is an exocrine organ.

Airborne pollen grains in the atmosphere of Bozüyük were investigated over a 2 yr period from 2000 to 2001 using a Durham sampler. A total number of pollen grains of 5 170 pollen grains belonging to 32taxa were identified and recorded along with some unidentified pollen grains. Of all the pollen grains, 78.66%were arboreal, 19.20% were non-arboreal, and 2.12% were unidentified. The majority of pollen grains investigated were Pinus, Platanus, Quercus, Cupressaceae, Poaceae, Fagus, Salix, Rosaceae, Urticaceae,Asteraceae, and Chenopodiaceae. The maximum number of pollen grains was recorded in May.  相似文献

From the Upper Triassic (Norian) reef limestones north and west of Antalya (Taurus Mts., Turkey) the red algae (Solenoporaceans)Solenopora undata n. sp.,Parachaetetes clatratus n. sp.,Parachaetetes riedeli n. sp.,Parachaetetes tauricus n. sp., andTauristorea parallela n. gen., n. sp. are described.Tauristorea is characterized by cells orientated parallel to the Substrate (vertically to the growth direction of the alga). InAchnanthes lanceolata pairing occurs by chance in regard to the arrangement of the mother cells, inA. minutissima it is accomplished selectively: contact at the sides occupied by the nucleus is favoured very strongly. In contrast toA. exilis, pairing inA. minutissima occurs by detachment of both partner cells from their stalks, whileA. lanceolata has no stalks at all. The isogamous gamete fusion inA. lanceolata should be understood as a modification of the anisogamous behavior inA. minutissima andA. exilis. For the three species the same constant orientation of the primary cell in relation to the substratum and to the mother thecae is characteristic. The first epivalva always is the raphe valve. InA. lanceolata in connection with the property of the primary cell possessing two chromatophores resp. pyrenoids instead of one, the transapical heteropolarity of the rapheless valve, a specific character, changes to isopolarity. It seems that a sort of induction from the pyrenoids towards the formation of the rapheless valve is at work. InA. lanceolata the pseudoraphe shows a structure hitherto unknown.A. lanceolata fo.ventricosa Hust. is to be eliminated. Var.rostrata (Östrup)Hust. is a good taxon; two new differential characters are found.
