Bis[platinum(II)] [Cl2Pt(LL)PtCl2] complexes 2,5 and 8 with chiral non-racemic ligands: 1a-c (LL = (R,R), (S,S) and (R,S) N,N'-bis(3,4-diaminobutyl)hexanediamide); 4a,b (LL = (R,R) and (S,S) N,N'-bis[3,4-bis(diaminobutyl)] urea); 7a-d (LL' = (R,R), (S,S), (R,S) and (S,R) 4,5-diamino-N-(3,4-diaminobutyl) pentanamide) and bis[platinum(IV)] complex 10-13 with ligands 1a,b and 4a,b have been prepared and characterized by IR, 1H, 13C and 195Pt NMR spectra. The interactions of 2a-c, 5a, 5b, 8a-d and 10a with dsDNA were investigated with the goal of examining whether the chirality, the nature of the spacer and the oxidation state have an influence on platinum-DNA binding properties. All the bis[platinum(II)] complexes form with dsDNA intra- and interstrand crosslinks and crosslinks over sticky ends, whereas the bis[platinum(IV)] complex 10a only forms intra- and interstrand crosslinks. The platinum-DNA coordination sites were determined by the T4 DNA polymerase footprinting method. The results show that all investigated bis(platinum) complexes have high preference towards distinct purines. All isomeric bis(amide) 2a-c and mono(amide) 8a-d complexes exhibit nearly the same binding pattern, whereas the ureide complexes 5a and 5b have other coordination sites with higher sequence preference. Interestingly, the ureides 5a and 5b differ in their coordination sites not only in comparison to the bis(amides) 2a-c and mono(amides) 8a-d, but also between each other. The bis[platinum(IV)] complex 10a also differs in coordination sites in comparison to all the bis[platinum(II)] compounds.  相似文献

A range of [PtR(2)(chxn)] (R=C(6)F(5), o-HC(6)F(4), p-HC(6)F(4), p-MeOC(6)F(4) or 3,5-H(2)C(6)F(3); chxn=cyclohexane-1,2-diamine) and cis-[PtR(2)(dmso)(2)] (R=C(6)F(5), p-HC(6)F(4) or p-MeOC(6)F(4); dmso=dimethyl sulfoxide) complexes have been prepared from the corresponding [PtR(2)(diene)] (diene=cis,cis-cycloocta-1,5-diene (cod), hexa-1,5-diene (hex), norbornadiene (nbd) or dicyclopentadiene (dcy)) derivatives and have been spectroscopically characterized. A representative crystal structure of [Pt(C(6)F(5))(2)(cis-chxn)] was determined and shows a slightly distorted square planar geometry for platinum with chxn virtually perpendicular to the coordination plane. The biological activity against L1210 and L1210/DDP cell lines of these compounds together with the behaviour of other organoplatinum complexes, [PtR(2)L(2)] (L(2)=ethane-1,2-diamine (en) or cis-(NH(3))(2)) have been determined. Despite the use of relatively inert fluorocarbon anions as leaving groups, moderate-high cell growth inhibitory activity is observed. None of the fluorocarbon complexes displayed any cross resistance with cisplatin.  相似文献

A series of platinum(II) complexes with 2,9-disubstituted-6-benzylaminopurines has been prepared. The complexes have the following composition: cis-[Pt(Boh)(2)Cl(2)] (1), cis-[Pt(Oc)(2)Cl(2)] (2), cis-[Pt(Ros)(2)Cl(2)] (3), cis-[Pt(i-PrOc)(2)Cl(2)] (4), cis-[Pt(BohH(+))(2)Cl(2)]Cl(2) (5), cis-[Pt(OcH(+))(2)Cl(2)]Cl(2) (6), cis-[Pt(RosH(+))(2)Cl(2)]Cl(2) (7) and cis-[Pt(i-PrOcH(+))(2)Cl(2)]Cl(2) (8), where Boh=2-(3-hydroxypropylamino)-6-benzylamino-9-isopropylpurine, Oc=2-(2-hydroxyethylamino)-6-benzylamino-9-methylpurine, Ros=2-(R)-(1-ethyl-2-hydroxyethylamino)-6-benzylamino-9-isopropylpurine and i-PrOc=2-(2-hydroxyethylamino)-6-benzylamino-9-isopropylpurine. The complexes have been characterized by elemental analyses, conductivity measurements and their infrared, ES+mass (electrospray mass spectra in the positive ion mode) and NMR ((1)H, (13)C, (15)N and (195)Pt) spectra. The results obtained from the physical studies, particularly from multinuclear NMR spectroscopy, show that in all the investigated complexes (1-8), two molecules of purine derivative are coordinated to platinum via the N(7) atom of the imidazole ring in a cis-configuration. The prepared compounds have been screened for their in vitro cytotoxicity against G-361 (human malignant melanoma), HOS (human osteogenic sarcoma), K-562 (human chronic myelogenous leukemia) and MCF-7 (human breast adenocarcinoma) cell lines. All complexes are significantly more active than the initial 2,9-disubstituted-6-benzylaminopurine derivatives. In the case of some tumour cell lines, IC(50) values for the complexes (1, 3, 4, 5, 8) are significantly lower than those obtained for cisplatin and oxaliplatin. The best cytotoxicity was achieved for the complex (3) for which IC(50) values range from 1 to 2 microM.  相似文献

The absolute configurations of the anti-tumor complexes [Pt(oxalato)(trans-l-dach)] and [Pt(malonato) (trans-l-dach)] (trans-l-dach = 1R,2R-cyclohexanediamine) have been determined by X-ray anomalous scattering techniques. These complexes are particularly interesting because they show higher anti-tumor activity than the corresponding Pt complexes with other 1,2-cyclohexanediamine(dach) ligands, namely those with trans-d-dach (1S,2S-dach) or cis-dach (1R,2S-dach). The oxalato and malonato ligands are found to bind to the Pt atom in a chelating fashion, through one oxygen atom from each of the two carboxylate groups. Crystallographic details: Pt(oxalato)(trans-l-dach): space group P21 (monoclinic); a = 11.230(11) Å, b = 9.914(5) Å, c = 4.716(3) Å, β = 90.86(6)°; R = 4.0% for 1256 reflections. Pt(malonato)(trans-l-dach): space group P21 (monoclinic); a = 11.568(5) Å, b = 10.007(5) Å, c = 5.187(3) Å, β = 99.16(4)°; R = 4.8% for 1675 reflections.  相似文献

An interesting series of mononuclear organoruthenium complexes of formulation [Ru(CO)(PPh3)2(ap-R)] (where ap-R = -H, -Cl, -Me, -OMe, -OEt) have been synthesized from the reaction of five 2-(arylazo)phenol ligands with ruthenium(II) precursor [RuH(Cl)(CO)(PPh3)3] in benzene under reflux. The 2-(arylazo)phenolate ligands behave as dianionic tridentate ligand and are coordinated to ruthenium through C, N and O by dissociation of the phenolic and phenyl proton at the ortho position of the phenyl ring forming two five-membered chelate rings. These complexes have been characterized by elemental analysis, FT-IR, 1H NMR and UV-visible spectroscopy. In dichloromethane solution all the metal complexes exhibit characteristic metal-to-ligand charge transfer (MLCT) absorption and emission bands in the visible region. The structures of [Ru(CO)(PPh3)2(ap-H)] and [Ru(CO)(PPh3)2(ap-Cl)] have been determined by X-ray crystallography. Cyclic voltammetric data of all the complexes show a Ru(III)/Ru(II) oxidation and reduction Ru(II)/Ru(I) within the range 0.74-0.84 V and -0.38 to -0.50 V vs saturated calomel electrode (SCE) respectively. The potentials are observed with respect to the electronic nature of substituents (R) in the 2-(arylazo)phenolate ligands. Further, the free ligands and their ruthenium complexes have also been screened for their antibacterial and antifungal activities, which have shown great promise in inhibiting the growth of both gram +ve and gram -ve bacteria Staphylococcus aureus and Escherichia coli and fungus Candida albicans and Aspergillus niger. These results made it desirable to delineate a comparison between free ligands and their complexes.  相似文献

A series of new platinum(II) amine complexes containing 1,1- and 1,2-cyclobutanedicarboxylate ligands, cis-[PtA2(1,1-CBDCA)] (A = RNH2, where R = C2H5, n-C3H7, n-C4H9, n-C5H11, n-C6H13, c-C3H5, c-C5H9, c-C6H11; A2 = ethylenediamine, 1,3-diaminopropane), cis-[PtA2(1,2-CBDCA)] (A = NH3, RNH2 where R = CH3, C2H5, n-C3H7, n-C4H9, c-C3H5) and trans-[Pt(NH3)2(1,1-CBDCAH)2] (CBDCA, CBDCAH = dianion and monoanion of the dicarboxylic acid, respectively) have been synthesized by an improved route. These complexes are stable in aqueous solution and show good aqueous solubility. The [Pt(c-C3H5NH2)2(1,1-CBDCA)] can be isolated in white, grey and blue forms. The grey and blue forms exhibit ESR signals analogous to the so-called platinum blues. The existence of the blue form in aqueous solution is time and temperature dependent. Several of the complexes have been tested against leukaemia L1210 in male BDF mice and activity appears to decrease with the increase in length of the aliphatic chain (or increase in size of the alicyclic ring) of the primary amine. The Yoshida lymphoscarcoma screen, usually insensitive to platinum drugs, was found to respond well to [Pt(n-C4H9NH2)2(1,1-CBDCA)] in 5-day subcutaneously implanted tumours in female Wistar rats.  相似文献

The Fe coordination chemistry of several tripodal aminopyridyl hexadentate chelators is reported along with cytotoxicity toward cultured Hela cells. The chelators are based on cis, cis-1,3,5-triaminocyclohexane (tach) with three pendant -CH2-2-pyridyl groups where 2-pyridyl is R-substituted thus are named tach-x-Rpyr where x=3, R=Me; x=3, R=MeO; x=6; R=Me. The structures of [Fe(tach-3-Mepyr)]Cl2 and [Fe(tach-3-MeOpyr)](FeCl4) are reported and their metric parameters indicate strongly bound, low-spin Fe(II). The structure of [Fe(tach-6-Mepyr)](ClO4)2 implies steric effects of 6-Me groups push donor Npy's away so one Fe-Npy bond is substantially longer at 2.380(3)A vs. 2.228(3)A for the others, and Fe(II) in the high-spin-state. Accordingly, anions X(-)=Cl or SCN afford [Fe(tach-6-Mepyr)(X)]+ from [Fe(tach-6-Mepyr)]2+ (UV-vis spectroscopy). Consistent with a biological cytotoxicity involving Fe chelation, chelators of low-spin Fe(II) have greater toxicity in the order [IC50(72 h) is in parentheses then the spin-state SS=H (high) or L (low)]: tachpyr=tach-3-Mepyr (6 microM, SS=L) greater, similar tach-3-MeOpyr (12microM, SS=L)>tach-6-Mepyr (>200 microM, SS=H). Iron-mediated oxidative dehydrogenation with O2 oxidant removes hydrogens from coordinated nitrogen and the adjacent CH2, converting aqueous [Fe(tach-3-Rpyr)]2+ (R=H, Me and MeO) into a mix of low-spin imino- and aminopyridyl-armed complexes, but [Fe(tach-6-Mepyr)]2+ does not react (NMR and ESI-MS spectroscopies). The difference of IC(50) for chelators at different time points (delta IC50=[IC50(24h)-IC50(72 h)]) is used to compare rate of cytotoxic action to qualitative rate of oxidation in the Fe-bound chelator, giving the order, from rapid to slow oxidation and cell killing of: [Fe(tach-3-Mepyr)]2+ (delta IC50=5 microM)>[Fe(tachpyr)]2+ (delta IC50=16 microM)>[Fe(tach-3-MeOpyr)]2+ (delta IC50=118 microM). Thus, those chelators whose Fe(II) complexes undergo rapid oxidation kill cells faster, and those that bind Fe(II) as low-spin are far more cytotoxic.  相似文献

The cationic complexes (1,2-diaminoethane)(maltolato)platinum(II) ([Pt(en)(ma)]+) and (1R,2R-1,2-diaminocyclohexane)(maltolato)platinum(II) ([Pt(R,R-DACH)(ma)]+) have been prepared and the structure of [Pt(R,R-DACH)(ma)]NO3 has been determined by single crystal X-ray diffraction. The geometry of the metal in [Pt(R,R-DACH)(ma)]NO3 is essentially square planar and the maltolate ligand has a geometry similar to other chelate complexes involving this ligand. The cytotoxicities of the compounds have been assessed in the human cell lines HeLa and K562 and the IC50 values are approximately 32 microM in HeLa cells and 26 microM in K562 cells. In these cell lines the cytotoxicity of cisplatin is higher than the maltolate complexes by a factor of 2 to 3 whereas the cytotoxicity of carboplatin is lower than the maltolate complexes.  相似文献

The non-covalent interaction of the complexes [Pt(bpy)(R,R'NCSNR',R')(2)]Cl(2) (bpy=2,2'-bipyridine; R=R'=R'=R'=H; R=Me, R'=R'=R'=H; R=n-Bu, R'=R'=R'=H; R=p-tolyl, R'=R'=R'=H; R=Et, R'=H, R'=Et, R'=H) with calf thymus DNA has been studied at pH 7 and 25 degrees C. The processes give rise to: (i) reversible bathochromic shifts and strong hypochromicity of the absorption bands of the complexes, (ii) induced circular dichroism and (iii) an increase both in the melting temperature and viscosity of the DNA comparable to that observed for other well known metallointercalators. The binding constants, K(B), have been determined spectrophotometrically using the McGhee von Hippel equation. Plot of logK(B) vs -log[Na(+)] for the complex with unsubstituted thiourea gives a straight line with a slope value close to that expected for a dicationic intercalator. The binding affinity of the various complexes for DNA is independent of the thiourea nature; this suggests that the intercalation occurs through stacking of the bpy moiety while the ancillary ligands lie outside the nucleobases far away from the sugar phosphate backbone. The data show also that the electronic effects of the ligand substituents are not transmitted to the intercalating unit.  相似文献

Diastereomeric clusters between first-group metal ions (M(+)) and chiral alpha-aminophosphonic acids (A and B) have been readily generated in the gas phase by electrospray ionization (ESI) and their fragmentation investigated by mass spectrometry. The complexes studied had the general formula [MA(S)B(2)](+) and [MA(R)B(2)](+), where M = H, Li, Na, or K, A(S) and A(R) are the two enantiomers of a given acid A, and B is a reference alpha-aminophosphonic acid of defined configuration. Collision-induced decomposition (CID) of [MA(S)B(2)](+) and [MA(R)B(2)](+) leads to fragmentation patterns characterized by [MAB](+)/[MB(2)] abundance ratios which depend on the configuration of ligand A. These different spectral features were correlated to the different stability of the diastereomeric [MA(S)B(2)](+) and [MA(R)B(2)](+) complexes in the gas phase. The results have been discussed in the light of MM2 Molecular Mechanics Force Field calculations.  相似文献

A novel type of mixed-ligand Tc(III) complexes, [Tc(SCH(2)CH(2)-E-CH(2)CH(2)S)(PR(2)S)] (E = S, N(CH(3)); PR(2)S = phosphinothiolate with R = aryl, alkyl) is described. These "3+2"-coordinated complexes can be prepared in a two-step reduction/substitution procedure via the appropriate chloro-containing oxotechnetium(V) complex [TcO(SES)Cl] [E=S, N(CH(3)]. Tc(III) compounds have been fully characterized both in solid and solution states and found to adopt the trigonal-bipyramidal coordination geometry. The equatorial trigonal plane is formed by three thiolate sulfur atoms, whereas the phosphorus of the bidentate P,S ligand and the neutral donor of the tridentate chelator occupy the apical positions. The (99)Tc(III) complexes have been proven to be identical with the (99m)Tc agents prepared at the no-carrier-added level by comparison of the corresponding UV/vis and radiometric HPLC profiles. Challenge experiments with glutathione clearly indicate that this tripeptide has no effect on the stability of the (99m)Tc complexes in solutions. Biodistribution studies have been carried out in rats at 5 and 120 min postinjection. The substituents at the bidentate P,S ligand significantly influence the biodistribution pattern. Remarkable differences are observed especially in brain, blood, lungs, and liver. All the complexes are able to penetrate the blood-brain barrier of rats and showed a relatively fast washout from the brain.  相似文献

As part of our research efforts in the area of titanium-based antitumor agents, we have investigated the cytotoxic activity of [Ti(4)(maltolato)(8)(mu-O)(4)], (Cp-R)(2)TiCl(2) and (Cp-R)CpTiCl(2) (R = CO(2)CH(3) and CO(2)CH(2)CH(3)), and three water-soluble titanocene-amino acid complexes-[Cp(2)Ti(aa)(2)]Cl(2) (aa = L: -cysteine, L: -methionine, and D: -penicillamine)-on the human colon adenocarcinoma cell line, HT-29. The capacity of [Ti(4)(maltolato)(8)(mu-O)(4)] to donate Ti(IV) to human apo-transferrin and its hydrolytic stability have been investigated and compared to the previously reported data on modified titanocenes with either hydrophilic ancillary ligands or the functionalized cyclopentadienyl ligands. Notably, the titanium-maltolato complex does not transfer Ti(VI) to human apo-transferrin at any time within the first seven days of its interaction, demonstrating the inert character of this species. Stability studies on these complexes have shown that titanocene complexes decompose at physiological pH while the [Ti(4)(maltolato)(8)(mu-O)(4)] complex is stable at this pH without any notable decomposition for a period of ten days. The antitumor activity of these complexes against colon cancer HT-29 cells was determined using an MTT cell viability assay at 72 and 96 h. The titanocene-amino acid and the (Cp-R)(2)TiCl(2)/(Cp-R)CpTiCl(2) (R = CO(2)CH(3)) complexes were not biologically active when human transferrin was absent; they also were inactive when human transferrin was present at dose-equivalent concentrations. (Cp-R)(2)TiCl(2) and (Cp-R)CpTiCl(2) (R = CO(2)CH(2)CH(3)) showed cytotoxic activity in HT-29 cells comparable to that which is displayed by titanocene dichloride. The titanium-maltolato complex had higher levels of cytotoxic activity than any other titanocene complex investigated. Transferrin may be important in protecting the titanium center from hydrolysis, but this may be achieved by selecting ligands that could result in hydrolytically stable, yet active, complexes.  相似文献

The reactivity of nitrite towards the copper(II) and copper(I) centers of a series of complexes with tridentate nitrogen donor ligands has been investigated. The ligands are bis[(1-methylbenzimidazol-2-yl)methyl]amine (1-bb), bis[2-(1-methylbenzimidazol-2-yl)ethyl]amine (2-bb), and bis[2-(3,5-dimethyl-1-pyrazolyl)ethyl]amine (ddah) and carry two terminal benzimidazole (1-bb, 2-bb) or pyrazole (ddah) rings and a central amine donor residue. While 2-bb and ddah form two adjacent six-membered chelate rings on metal coordination, 1-bb forms two smaller rings of five members. The binding affinity of nitrite and azide to the Cu(II) complexes (ClO4 as counterion) has been determined in solution. The association constants for the two ligands are similar, but nitrite is a slightly stronger ligand than azide when it binds as a bidentate donor. The X-ray crystal structure of the nitrite complex [Cu(ddah)(NO2)]ClO4 (final R=0.056) has been determined: triclinic P1ˉspace group, a=8.200(2) ?, b=9.582(3) ?, c=15.541(4) ?. It may be described as a perchlorate salt of a “supramolecular” species resulting from the assembly of two complex cations and one sodium perchlorate unit. The copper stereochemistry in the complex is intermediate between SPY and TBP, and nitrite binds to Cu(II) asymmetrically, with Cu-O distances of 2.037(2) and 2.390(3) ? and a nearly planar CuO2N cycle. On standing, solutions of [Cu(ddah)(NO2)]ClO4 in methanol produce the dinuclear complex [Cu(ddah)(OMe)]2(ClO4)2, containing dibridging methoxy groups. In fact the crystal structure analysis (final R=0.083) showed that the crystals are built up by dinuclear cations, arranged on a crystallographic symmetry center, and perchlorate anions. Electrochemical analysis shows that binding of nitrite to the Cu(II) complexes of 2-bb and ddah shifts the reduction potential of the Cu(II)/Cu(I) couple towards negative values by about 0.3 V. The thermodynamic parameters of the Cu(II)/Cu(I) electron transfer have also been analyzed. The mechanism of reductive activation of nitrite to nitric oxide by the Cu(I) complexes of 1-bb, 2-bb, and ddah has been studied. The reaction requires two protons per molecule of nitrite and Cu(I). Kinetic experiments show that the reaction is first order in [Cu(I)] and [H+] and exhibits saturation behavior with respect to nitrite concentration. The kinetic data show that [Cu(2-bb)]+ is more efficient than [Cu(1-bb)]+ and [Cu(ddah)]+ in reducing nitrite. Received: 19 November 1999 / Accepted: 20 January 2000  相似文献

The reactivity, towards nucleophiles and electrophiles, of dimolybdenum allenylidene complexes of the type [Cp2Mo2(CO)4(μ,η2(4e)-C=C=CR1R2)] (Cp=η5-C5H5) has been investigated. The nucleophilic attacks occur at the Cγ carbon atom, while electrophiles affec the C atom. Variable temperature solution 1H NMR studies show a dynamic behavior of these complexes consisting of an equilibrium between two enantiomers with a symmetrical [Cp2Mo2(CO)4(μ-σ,σ(2e)-C=C=CR1R2)] transition state. Extended Hückel MO calculations have been carried out on the model [Cp2Mo2(CO)4(μ,η2-C=C=CH2]. The calculated charges of the allenylidene carbon atoms suggest that the electrophilic attacks are under charge control, while the nucleophilic attacks are rather under orbital control.  相似文献

The reaction of ruthenium(III) complexes, [RuX(3)(EPh(3))(3)] (E=As, X=Cl or Br; E=P, X=Cl) and [RuBr(3)(PPh(3))(2)(CH(3)OH)] with bidendate Schiff base ligands derived by condensing salicylaldehyde with methylamine (Hsalmet), cyclohexylamine (Hsalchx), 2-aminopyridine (Hsalampy) have been carried out. The complexes were characterized by analytical and spectral studies (IR, electronic and EPR) and are formulated as [RuX(EPh(3))(LL')(2)] (where LL'=monobasic bidentate Schiff base ligand; E=P or As, X=Cl or Br). An octahedral geometry has been tentatively proposed for the new complexes. Dioxygen affinity of some of the Ru(III) Schiff base complexes was studied by cyclic voltammetry. The representative Schiff bases and their complexes were tested in vitro to evaluate their activity against fungi, namely, Aspergillus flavus (A. flavus) and Fusarium species.  相似文献

A series of pentanuclear gold(I)-copper(I) and -silver(I) mixed-metal alkynyl complexes, [(n)Bu(4)N][Au(3)M(2)(C triple bond CC(6)H(4)R-p)(6)] [M = Cu, R = OMe, O(n)Bu, O(n)Hex, Me, Et; M = Ag, R = Et, O(n)Hex] have been synthesized. The complexes were found to be emissive both in the solid state and in fluid solutions. DFT calculations at the B3LYP level of theory were performed on [Au(3)M(2)(C triple bond CC(6)H(4)Me-p)(6)](-) (M = Cu, Ag) to provide an understanding on the electronic structure of the complexes.  相似文献

A novel polypyridyl ligand 2-(4'-benzyloxyphenyl)imidazo[4,5-f][1,10]phenanthroline (BPIP) and its complex [Ru(bpy)2(BPIP)]2+ (1) (bpy=2,2'-bipyridine) and (2) [Ru(phen)2(BPIP)]2+) (phen=1,10-phenanthroline) have been synthesized and characterized by elemental analysis, electrospray mass spectra and 1H NMR. The DNA-binding properties of the two complexes were investigated by spectroscopic and viscosity measurements. The results suggest that both complexes bind to DNA via an intercalative mode. Both complexes can enantioselectively interact with calf thymus DNA (CT-DNA) in a way. The Lambda enantiomer of complex 1 is slightly predominant for binding to CT-DNA to the Delta enantiomer. Under irradiation at 365 nm, both complexes have also been found to promote the photocleavage of plasmid pBR 322 DNA. Inhibitors studies suggest that singlet oxygen ((1)O2) and hydroxyl radical (*OH) play a significant role in the cleavage mechanism for both complexes. Moreover, the DNA-binding and photocleavage properties of both complexes were compared with that of [Ru(bpy)2(BPIP)]2+ and [Ru(phen)2(BPIP)]2+. The experimental results indicate that methene group existence or not have a significant effect on the DNA-binding and cleavage mechanism of these complexes.  相似文献

Complexes of the type [M(pabh)(H2O)Cl], [M(pcbh)(H2O)Cl] and [M(Hpabh)(H2O)2 (SO4)] where, M = Mn(II), Co(II), Ni(II), Cu(II) and Zn(II); Hpabh = p-amino acetophenone benzoyl hydrazone and Hpcbh = p-chloro acetophenone benzoyl hydrazone have been synthesized and characterized with the help of elemental analyses, electrical conductance, magnetic susceptibility measurements, electronic, ESR and IR spectra, thermal (TGA & DTA) and X-ray diffraction studies. Co(II), Ni(II) and Cu(II) chloride complexes are square planar, whereas their sulfate complexes have spin-free octahedral geometry. ESR spectra of Cu(II) complexes with Hpabh are axial and suggest d(x(2)-y(2) as the ground state. The ligand is bidentate bonding through > C = N--and deprotonated enolate group in all the chloro complexes, whereas, >C = N and >C = O groups in all the sulfato complexes. Thermal studies (TGA & DTA) on [Cu(Hpabh)(H2O)2(SO4)] indicate a multistep decomposition pattern, which are both exothermic and endothermic in nature. X-ray powder diffraction parameters for [Co(pabh)(H2O)Cl] and [Ni(Hpabh)(H2O)2(SO4)] correspond to tetragonal and orthorhombic crystal lattices, respectively. The ligands as well as their complexes show a significant antifungal and antibacterial activity. The metal complexes are more active than the ligand.  相似文献

Trans-[RuCl(NO)(dppe)2]2+ species were prepared. The complexes have been characterized by microanalysis, IR and 31P[1H] NMR spectroscopy and cyclic voltammetry. The trans-[RuCl(NO)(dppe)2](ClO4)2 complex shows a reversible one-electron-reduction process at E(1/2) = 0.200 V and another one-electron-reduction irreversible process at -0.620 V, both centered at the NO+ group. The dissociation of the NO group from the trans-[RuCl(NO)(dppe)2]2+ after two one-electron reductions results in the formation of the trans- and cis-[RuCl2(dppe)2] isomers. The product of an electrolyzed solution of the same complex at -0.300 V shows an EPR signal consistent with the presence of the [RuCl(NO(0))(dppe)2]+ complex. Crystal data for trans-[RuCl(NO)(dppe)2]2+*[RuCl4(NO)(H2O)]*1/2[RuCl6]4-*2[H2O] (I) and trans-[RuCl(NO)(dppe)(2)]2+*2[RuCl4(NO)(CH3O)]-*3[CH3OH] (II) are as follow: (I) Space group P-1, a=10.4040(3) A, b=12.3470(4) A, c=23.5620(8) A, alpha=95.885(2) degrees, beta=99.608(2) degrees, gamma=104.378(2) degrees, R=0.0521; (II) space group P-1, a=10.9769(2) A, b=13.2753(3) A, c=24.0287(4) A, alpha=99.743(1) degrees, beta=95.847(1) degrees, gamma=97.549(1) degrees; R=0.0496. 1,3-dithia-2-stannacyclopentane derivatives with dialkyldithiocarbamates of the types SCH(2)CH(2)SSn[S(2)CNR(2)]Cl (I) and SCH(2)CH(2)SSn[S(2)CNR(2)](2) (II) (where R = CH(3), C(2)H(5) and -CH(2)-CH(2)-) have been synthesized by the reaction of 2,2-dichloro-1,3-dithia-2-stannacyclopentane and sodium/ammonium salts of dialkyldithiocarbamates in 1:1 and 1:2 molar ratios, respectively, in anhydrous benzene. These newly synthesized derivatives have been characterized by elemental analyses (C, H, N, S and Sn), thermal [thermogravimetry (TG) and differential thermal analyses (DTA)] as well as spectral [UV, IR and multinuclear NMR ((1)H, (13)C and (119)Sn)] studies. The monodentate behaviour of the dialkyldithiocarbamate ligands was confirmed by IR and (119)Sn NMR spectral data and distorted tetrahedral structures have been suggested for both type (I) and (II) compounds. The free ligands and their tin complexes have also been screened for their antibacterial and antifungal activities. These results made it desirable to delineate a comparison between free ligands and their tin complexes. These exhibit higher antibacterial effect than some of the previously investigated antibiotics.  相似文献
