The rat aldolase C gene encodes a glycolytic enzyme strongly expressed in adult brain. We previously reported that a combination of distal and proximal 5' flanking sequences, the A+C+0.8 kilobase (kb) pairs fragments, ensured high brain-specific expression in vivo (Skala et al. 1998). We show here that the expression pattern conferred by these sequences, when placed in front of the chloramphenicol acetyltransferase (CAT) or the enhanced green fluorescent protein (EGFP) reporter genes in transgenic mice, is similar to the distribution of the endogenous mRNA and protein. Double immunostaining for neuronal or glial cell-specific markers and for the EGFP protein indicates that the A+C+0.8 kb genomic sequences from the rat aldolase C gene direct a predominant expression in neuronal cells of adult brain.  相似文献

作为木质素降解的关键酶之一,漆酶在森林生态系统养分循环过程中占有重要的地位。通过构建cDNA克隆文库,从mRNA水平上研究了亚热带喀斯特原生林(常绿落叶阔叶混交林)和红壤马尾松林(针叶林)凋落物层(O层)及表土层(A层,0—20 cm)中担子菌漆酶基因多样性及其群落结构。结果发现,O层担子菌漆酶基因多样性、丰富度和均匀度均以原生林远远高于马尾松林,而A层与O层的趋势相反;同一森林生态系统,原生林土壤O层中担子菌漆酶基因多样性和种群丰富度高于土壤A层,而马尾松林则O层明显低于A层。"目"分类地位上,伞菌目在两森林生态系统中占绝对优势,且在马尾松林O层中比例高达90.2%;原生林O层和马尾松林A层中存在丰富的多孔菌目和钉菇目;红菇目仅在原生林A层中检测到,且比例为12.4%。群落结构上,与原生林O层和马尾松林A层相比,原生林A层和马尾松林O层含漆酶基因的担子菌种群分布极不均匀,分别存在1和2个绝对优势种群(克隆子数占各克隆库20%以上),且分别与伞菌属、小菇属和侧耳属有较高的氨基酸相似性。此外,两森林土壤中漆酶活性、碳、氮、木质素含量均以原生林显著高于马尾松林,且O层显著高于A层。这些结果表明亚热带阔叶林和针叶林不同土壤层位中降解木质素的担子菌漆酶基因多样性和群落结构有着极大的差异,而这种差异与微生物底物的可利用性、多样性以及土壤pH等因素的综合作用密切相关。  相似文献

Abstract

In a recent study of the Dalton horizon, Goodyear (1982) suggested that Meserve points were reworked from lanceolate forms and hence were not pertinent to the Dalton horizon. We believe that he is mistaken in this interpretation. In our view, Meserve points reflect the westernmost extension of the Dalton horizon. The early dates now assigned to that horizon force a reexamination of the role of Meserve peoples on the Plains.  相似文献

A sea snake vertebra from the Middle Eocene (Kuma Horizon) of the vicinity of the town of Bakhchisarai (Crimea) is referred to Palaeophis nessovi Averianov, 1997, which was previously recorded in the Middle and Upper Eocene of northern and western Kazakhstan. P. udovichenkoi Averianov, 1997 described from the Crimea based on the material from the Prolom locality (Bartonian-Priabonian?) is a junior subjective synonym of P. nessovi. A vertebra from the Belaya Skala locality (Middle Eocene, outskirts of the town of Belogorsk) is determined as Palaeophis sp.  相似文献

Leaching of dissolved organic carbon (DOC) from the O layer is important for the carbon cycling of forest soils. Here we study the role of the Oi, Oe and Oa horizons in DOC leaching from the forest floor in field manipulations carried out in a Norway spruce forest stand in southern Sweden. The manipulations involved the addition and removal of litter and the removal of Oi, Oe and Oa horizons. Our data suggest that both recent litter and humified organic matter contribute significantly to the leaching of dissolved organic matter from the O layer. An addition of litter corresponding to four times annual litterfall resulted in a 35% increase in DOC concentrations and fluxes although the specific UV absorbance remained unchanged. The removal of litterfall and the Oi horizon resulted in a decreased DOC concentration and in a significant increase in the molar UV absorptivity. The DOC concentration under the Oa horizon was not significantly different from that under the Oe horizon and there were no increase in DOC flux, but rather a decrease, from the bottom of the Oe horizon to the bottom of the Oa horizon, suggesting that there is no net release of DOC in the Oa horizon. However, significant leaching of DOC occurred from the Oa horizon when litterfall and the Oi and Oe horizons were removed. This indicates that there is both a removal of DOC from the Oi and Oe horizons and a substantial production of DOC in the Oa horizon. Quantitatively, we suggest that the Oi, Oe and Oa horizons contributed approximately 20, 30 and 50%, respectively, to the overall leaching of DOC from the O layer.  相似文献

Two organic matter horizons developed under a spruce forest and grass vegetation were chosen to demonstrate the impact of a different vegetation cover on the micromorphology, porous system and hydraulic properties of surface soils. Micromorphological studies showed that the decomposed organic material in the organic matter horizon under the grass vegetation was more compact compared to the decomposed organic material in the organic matter horizon under the spruce forest. The detected soil porous system in the organic matter horizon under the spruce forest consisted of two clusters of pores with different diameters that were highly connected within and between both clusters. The soil porous system in the organic matter horizon under the grass vegetation consisted of one cluster of pores with the larger diameters and isolated pores with the smaller diameter. The retention ability of the organic matter horizon under the grass vegetation was higher than the retention ability of the organic matter horizon under the spruce forest. Three Late Silurian carbonate profiles of the Malynivtsy and Skala Formations from Podolia (western Ukraine) are discussed in terms of sedimentation dynamics. Their common feature is the appearance of thick, stromatoporoid-rich beds within fine-grained peritidal deposits. These intercalations are composed of fossils typical of offshore sedimentary environments. In the most spectacular case, a channel, several tens of metres wide and infilled with stromatoporoids, is incised in a peritidal cyclic complex. The successions investigated exhibit sedimentary features that are diagnostic of onshore redeposition. Independently of the scale of the recorded sedimentary events, the onshore redeposition was caused by factors with energy levels exceeding those of average storms, probably by hurricanes or even tsunami waves. The dynamic nature of some of the stromatoporoid beds has to be taken into account when constructing the curves illustrating bathymetrical and facies development of the Silurian succession of Podolia. The genesis of lens-shaped stromatoporoid beds, elongated depending on their origin, either parallel or perpendicular to the facies belts, should be considered an important factor in reconstructions of the depositional architecture of sedimentary hydrocarbon collectors.  相似文献

We present three experiments on horizon estimation. In Experiment 1 we verify the human ability to estimate the horizon in static images from only visual input. Estimates are given without time constraints with emphasis on precision. The resulting estimates are used as baseline to evaluate horizon estimates from early visual processes. Stimuli are presented for only ms and then masked to purge visual short-term memory and enforcing estimates to rely on early processes, only. The high agreement between estimates and the lack of a training effect shows that enough information about viewpoint is extracted in the first few hundred milliseconds to make accurate horizon estimation possible. In Experiment 3 we investigate several strategies to estimate the horizon in the computer and compare human with machine “behavior” for different image manipulations and image scene types.  相似文献

The total numbers of actinomycetes found in three horizons of forest soil (L, F and H, after Babel 1971) were lower in areas treated with the herbicide Labuctril 25 than in untreated control. The highest inhibition effect (a decrease in actinomycete numbers by 50%) was observed in horizon L after a one-year post-treatment period, in horizon F after two years. In contrast, in horizon H the occurrence of actinomycetes was only reduced by 16–18% after both time intervals.  相似文献

In 1859, the level of Lake Höytiäinen was lowered accidentally by 9.5 m and 157 km2 new land was formed. The event is marked by a 2–3 cm inwash horizon of clay and fine silt in deep-water sediments. In the sediment profile, the dry weights of 2 cm thick subsamples increase from 51 mg g–1 in the clay horizon and decrease back to 117–127 mg g–1 below the clay horizon. Below the pale clay horizon the sediment is muddy and rich in organic substances.Loss on ignition, amount of Tot.P, Tot.N and BOD7 are the highest below the clay horizon. The clay horizon has prevented mixing of the old sediment as well as aerobic decomposition of organic compounds. The high loss on ignition and the large proportion of biologically degradable organic substances in the old sediment resembles the new upper sediment of a typical central Finnish lake.The finding of a 133 year old well preserved top sediment sows that before the impact of waste waters and fertilizers, the upper sediment of the lake was rich in organic substances and nutrients. In spite of cultivation of new land later on, the new top sediment above the clay horizon is not as rich in organic substances and nutrients as the old one below it. This suggests that part of the organic substances may be mobile within the sediment and move to the uppermost sediment layer in the course of time in undisturbed lake sediments.  相似文献

The sorbitol-6-phosphate dehydrogenase gene (S6PDH) sequences of eight tribe Pyreae species (Rosaceae) are studied for the first time. The exon–intron structure and polymorphism of the nucleotide and amino acid sequences of this gene are characterized. The interspecific polymorphism of the S6PDH coding sequences in the studied Pyreae species is 8.36%. Sorbitol-6-phosphate dehydrogenase gene expression in S. aucuparia, A. melanocarpa, and M. domestica (cv. Skala) leaves is studied. The highest level of S6PDH expression is detected in mature leaves.  相似文献

The contribution of the organic (O) horizon to total soil respiration is poorly understood even though it can represent a large source of uncertainty due to seasonal changes in microclimate and O horizon properties due to plant phenology. Our objectives were to partition the CO2 effluxes of litter layer and mineral soil from total soil respiration (SR) and determine the relative importance of changing temperature and moisture mediating the fluxes. We measured respiration in an oak-dominated forest with or without the O horizon for 1 year within the Oak Openings Region of northwest Ohio. Mineral soil and O horizon respiration were subtracted from mineral soil respiration (MSR) to estimate litter respiration (LR). Measurements were grouped by oak phenology to correlate changes in plant activity with respiration. The presence of the O horizon represented a large source of seasonal variation in SR. The timing of oak phenology explained some of the large changes in both SR and LR, and their relationship with temperature and moisture. The contribution to SR of respiration from the mineral soil was greatest during pre-growth and pre-dormancy, as evident by the low LR:MSR ratios of 0.65 ± 0.10 (mean ± SE) and 0.69 ± 0.03, respectively, as compared to the other phenophases. Including moisture increased our ability to predict MSR and SR during the growth phenophase and LR for every phenophase. Temperature and moisture explained 85% of the variation in MSR, but only 60% of the variation in LR. The annual contribution of O horizon to SR was 48% and the ratio of litter to soil respiration was tightly coupled over a wide range of environmental conditions. Our results suggest the presence of the O horizon is a major mediator of SR.  相似文献

Summary A series of factoral experiments involving the effects of gravel concentration in the subsoil horizon, the effect of inter-gravel bulk density, the depth of the surface soil above the gravel horizon and the interaction between soil moisture regime and gravel concentration, on growth and development of maize roots were conducted in the greenhouse. Increasing sub soil gravel concentration decreased the total porosity and the available waterholding capacity. Though the root growth of maize seedlings was adversely affected by gravel concentration above 20 per cent, lower concentration of gravels had a beneficial effect on roots. The root development and the leaf concentration of N, P and K improved with increasing depth of surface soil above the gravel horizon. The symptoms of mechanical impedance, such as thickening of root tips and profuse branching behind the tip were commonly observed on the root axis penetrating the gravelly horizon. re]19750916  相似文献

Leaching of dissolved organic carbon (DOC) from the forest floor and transport in soil solution into the mineral soil are important for carbon cycling in boreal forest ecosystems. We examined DOC concentrations in bulk deposition, throughfall and in soil solutions collected under the O and B horizons in three Norway spruce stands along a climatic gradient in Sweden. Mean annual temperature for the three sites was 5.5, 3.4 and 1.2 °C. At each site we also examined the effect of soil moisture on DOC dynamics along a moisture gradient (dry, mesic and moist plots). To obtain information about the fate of DOC leached from the O horizon into the mineral soil, 14C measurements were made on bulk organic matter and DOC. The concentration and fluxes of DOC in O horizon leachates were highest at the southern site and lowest at the northern. Average DOC concentrations at the southern, central and northern sites were 49, 39 and 30 mg l−1, respectively. We suggest that DOC leaching rates from O horizons were related to the net primary production of the ecosystem. Soil temperature probably governed the within-year variation in DOC concentration in O horizon leachates, but the peak in DOC was delayed relative to that of temperature, probably due to sorption processes. Neither soil moisture regime (dry, mesic or moist plots) nor seasonal variation in soil moisture seemed to be of any significance for the concentration of DOC leached from the O horizon. The 14C measurements showed that DOC in soil solution collected below the B horizon was derived mainly from the B horizon itself, rather than from the O horizon, indicating a substantial exchange (sorption–desorption reactions) between incoming DOC and soil organic carbon in the mineral soil.  相似文献

Vertical partitioning of CO2 production within a temperate forest soil   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1  
The major driving factors of soil CO2 production – substrate supply, temperature, and water content – vary vertically within the soil profile, with the greatest temporal variations of these factors usually near the soil surface. Several studies have demonstrated that wetting and drying of the organic horizon contributes to temporal variation in summertime soil CO2 efflux in forests, but this contribution is difficult to quantify. The objectives of this study were to partition CO2 production vertically in a mixed hardwood stand of the Harvard Forest, Massachusetts, USA, and then to use that partitioning to evaluate how the relative contributions of CO2 production by genetic soil horizon vary seasonally and interannually. We measured surface CO2 efflux and vertical soil profiles of CO2 concentration, temperature, water content, and soil physical characteristics. These data were applied to a model of effective diffusivity to estimate CO2 flux at the top of each genetic soil horizon and the production within each horizon. A sensitivity analysis revealed sources of uncertainty when applying a diffusivity model to a rocky soil with large spatial heterogeneity, especially estimates of bulk density and volumetric water content and matching measurements of profiles and surface fluxes. We conservatively estimate that the O horizon contributed 40–48% of the total annual soil CO2 efflux. Although the temperature sensitivity of CO2 production varied across soil horizons, the partitioning of CO2 production by horizon did not improve the overall prediction of surface CO2 effluxes based on temperature functions. However, vertical partitioning revealed that water content covaried with CO2 production only in the O horizon. Large interannual variations in estimates of O horizon CO2 production indicate that this layer could be an important transient interannual source or sink of ecosystem C.  相似文献

Habitat parameters as well as host density and distribution play an important role in host-parasitoid interactions. Vegetation structure can affect both, herbivorous insects searching for places for egg deposition and foraging egg parasitoids. Herbivores might escape egg parasitism by depositing their eggs on sites with vegetation factors unfavourable for host searching parasitoids. The importance of a particular vegetation parameter for the host-parasitoid relationship, however, might depend on the spatial scale. In this study the influence of vegetation structure on oviposition of the polyphagous tansy leaf beetle Galeruca tanaceti L. (Coleoptera: Chrysomelidae) and on egg parasitism by the specialist egg parasitoid Oomyzus galerucivorus was investigated on two spatial scales in the field. Factors like vegetation height and coverage, presence of host plants and microclimate were measured and correlated with presence of herbivore eggs as well as incidence or rate of parasitism. On a larger scale 25 sites (patch size = 300–2000 m2) of suitable semi-arid grassland in different successional stages were studied. The probability that egg clutches of G. tanaceti were present at a site increased with a decreasing area covered by shrubs. Parasitism rates on the macro-site scale showed the same trend and were also higher at sites with a lower percentage of shrubs covering the area.On a smaller scale vegetation structure was investigated using 40 patches (patch size = 1 m2). While the best predictor for the presence of beetle egg masses on this scale was the complexity of vegetation, parasitism was influenced by the presence of a host plant, Achillea millefolium, and a sunny microclimate.In Wirt-Parasitoid Interaktionen spielen Wirtsdichte und -verteilung, aber auch Habitat-Parameter eine wichtige Rolle. Herbivore Insekten könnten einer Eiparasitierung dadurch entgehen, dass sie ihre Eier an Orte legen, die für Parasitoide ungünstige Vegetations-Parameter aufweisen. Die Bedeutung eines Vegetations-Parameters auf die Wirt-Parasitoid Beziehung kann von der räumlichen Skala abhängen, die untersucht wird. Diese Arbeit untersucht den Einfluss der Vegetationsstruktur auf die Eiablage des polyphagen Rainfarnblattkäfers Galeruca tanaceti L. (Coleoptera: Chrysomelidae) und auf die Parasitierung durch den spezialisierten Ei-Parasitoiden Oomyzus galerucivorus auf zwei räumlichen Skalen im Freiland. Verschiedene Vegetations-Parameter wie die Vegetationshöhe, der Deckungsgrad, das Wirtspflanzenvorkommen und das Mikroklima wurden gemessen und mit dem Vorhandensein von Eigelegen und Parasitierung korreliert. Auf der großflächigen Skala wurden 25 Flächen (Größe = 300–2000 m2) semiariden Grasslands in verschiedenen Sukzessionsstadien untersucht. Die Wahrscheinlichkeit, dass Eigelege von G. tanaceti auf einer Fläche gefunden wurden nahm mit sinkendem Verbuschungsgrad zu. Die Parasitierungsrate auf der großflächigen Skala nahm ebenfalls mit sinkendem Verbuschungsgrad zu.Kleinflächig wurde die Vegetationsstruktur in 40 Quadraten (Größe = 1 m2) untersucht. Während die Eiablage des Käfers am stärksten von der Komplexität der Vegetation beeinflusst wurde, wurde die Parasitierungsinzidenz durch das Vorkommen der Wirtspflanze Achillea millefolium und durch ein sonniges Mikroklima bestimmt.  相似文献

土壤有机碳分解是陆地生态系统碳循环的重要组成部分.主要采用土壤有机碳释放速率的室内培养实验的方法,并根据三库一级动力学模型,对小兴安岭地区4种典型阔叶红松林的土壤有机碳分解特征及各组分含量进行研究.实验结果如下:(1)土壤有机碳的分解趋势表现为前期迅速,后期缓慢,并且土壤腐殖质层(A)大于淀积层(B);在4种阔叶红松林中,云冷杉红松林土壤有机碳的分解速率最大,枫桦红松林最小;土壤有机碳的分解速率与土壤总有机碳、活性碳及土壤的C/N呈显著的正相关关系(P<0.05).(2)在土壤A层和B层,4种阔叶红松林的活性碳分别占总有机碳的0.89%-1.78%和1.91%-2.87%,平均驻留时间为12-35 d和27-58 d.缓效性碳占总有机碳的22.58%-28.44%和23.87%-42.63%,平均驻留时间为4-19 a和18-37 a.惰性碳占总有机碳的69.98%-76.24%和54.50%-74.22%,平均驻留时间为173 a;土壤有机碳各组分含量及驻留时间的大小顺序均为:云冷杉红松林>椴树红松林>枫桦红松林>蒙古栎红松林.  相似文献
