Abstract

This bibliography lists and provides commentary on publications describing the history, preparation, chemistry and applications of indigo and related dyes. The dates of the publications are mostly, but not exclusively, later than the previously published indigo bibliography. Note that commentary by the author is placed after the bibliographic information and is set in italics.

Bibliography on the genus Marenzelleria and its geographical distribution, principal topics and nomenclature

A bibliography is given for the genus Marenzelleria. All together, 236 publications were found dealing with M. viridis, M. wireni and M. jonesi and their synonyms. The contents of the publications are briefly reviewed in tabular form identifying the nomenclature used, the geographical distribution and the topic of the paper in each case.

This is an account of 680 distribution maps of 470 species of Hymenomycetes and Gasteromycetes, published between 1930 and 1969. Areas covered by the maps, mapping method, author, and reference are indicated for each species. This bibliography does not consider quality and completeness of the maps. Nomenclature has been actualized but synonyms are cited whenever they have been used in the publications included in this bibliography.     

The orchidology of H. G. Jones

A bibliography of the numerous, scattered orchid publications of the late H. G. Jones of Bridgetown, Barbados is presented. The new taxa and combinations proposed by Jones are listed. A search for his personal herbarium, which is believed to be non-existent, is discussed.

Bibliography of american archaeological plant remains (II)

Data relating to archaeological botany are often omitted or difficult to locate in the standard bibliographic sources of archaeology because the botanical component may be secondary to the principal intent of archaeological publications. Similarly, bibiliographic abstracting and indexing services in the natural sciences do not include archaeological journals and monographs. This bibliography is an effort to ameliorate this shortcoming, especially for sources concerned with South America and primarily for the period from 1966 through 1983.
