The first tarsal segment of the taiga tick bears 4 general types of sensilla (except for sensilla forming the Haller's sensory organ on the dorsal surface of the tarsus): tactile mechanoreceptor sensilla of 3 types, contact chemo-mechanoreceptor sensilla of 2 types, and double-walled pore sensilla. One of these types, the chemo-mechanoreceptor upper-pore sensilla, was found only in the Ixodinae, and not found in the examined representatives of the Amblyomminae. This type of sensilla was also found in the palpal receptor organ of the ixodid and argasid ticks.  相似文献

Sensillae of the tarsal receptor complex, palpal organ, and body chaetom were examined by means of scanning electron microscopy in three endoparasitic gamasid mites: Rhinonyssus rhinolethrum, Rh. subrhinolethrum and Ptilonyssus motacillae, the parasites of Anser albifrons, Anas crecca, and Motacilla alba, respectively. In the tarsal sensory complex, the scale of reduction of the olfactory sensilla reflects the adaptation of gamasid mites to cavernous parasitism. The topography of this sensilla is specific at generic and species taxonomic levels. In the palpal sensory organ, the number and scale of reduction of two main sensilla types depend on peculiarities of places of blood-sucking.  相似文献

Haller's organ in A. tridentatus consists of a capsule and an anterior group of sensilla. The capsule is the hollow in the cuticle on the dorsal surface of the first tarsus, where 4 pored hairs of olfactory sensilla are situated under the cover of the roof, formed by an anostomosis of the upper brunches of pleomorphs (capsule's bottom non-sensory cuticular outgrowths). The canal of the accessory ampullaceous sensillum opens in a capsule near the bottom. The anterior group of sensilla consists of two parts: proximal part, containing pored grooved and thin hairs, is homologous to the anterior grouf of ixodid ticks, and distal one which has no homologues in ixodids. Fine structure of all the sensilla in the mentioned parts of Haller's organ is described in detail.  相似文献

Amputation of legs in nymphs of ticks, obtained from the first laboratory generation, resulted in regeneration of the legs after moulting to adults. Haller's sensory organ on the upper surface of each foreleg tarsus was significantly modified following regeneration. Haller's organ in non-amputated legs of the experimental ticks remained unchanged, being comparable to controls.Pored olfactory sensilla in the anterior pit, in a capsule and on a distal knoll usually increased in number, as well as grooved, thin and conical sensilla. Bordering gustatory and double-walled postcapsular sensilla either decreased or increased in number. All additional sensilla were consistent in their location. Form of the anterior pit and capsule's aperture also deeply changed after the regeneration. The authors distinguish this changes as atavistic.No correlation between changes in different parts of the organ were found.A phenomenon of induction was discovered in our study: if a distal part of tick's gnathosoma was amputated together with the left foreleg, Haller's organ in the right, untreated leg possessed the same changes after moulting as the regenerated organ in the previously amputated left foreleg.  相似文献

A study of regeneration in nymphs and adults of the South African tick Ixodes (Afrixodes) rubicundus, from which the forelegs had been amputated during the previous instar, revealed that the structural changes in regenerated Haller's sensory organs resemble those observed in other ixodid ticks, in particular in another prostriate tick, Ixodes (Ixodes) ricinus. The adult regenerates re-establish their atavistic features in terms of the increased number of different sensilla on the distal knoll, in the anterior pit and the capsule. The nymphal regenerates, in contrast, re-establish the features of the previous instar through a reduction in the number of some sensilla on the distal knoll and in the post-capsular area. The structural changes in different compartments of the organ appear independent. The phenomenon of regenerative induction through the appearance of specific changes in Haller's organ of the contralateral non-treated foreleg is probably characteristic only of prostriate ticks. A unique modification in the regenerated Haller's organ as revealed by duplication of the Haller's organ capsule was discovered in both I. rubicundus nymphs and adult ticks.  相似文献

用扫描电镜观察了1种软蜱和4属8种硬蜱的成虫以及血蜱属3种若虫的须肢感器的外部形态;同时用透射电镜观察了波斯锐缘蜱、中华革蜱和亚洲璃眼蜱3种成虫须肢感器的内部结构.结果表明,须肢感器的外部形态在硬蜱各属成虫之间存在着一定的差异,主要表现在感器形状、顶端感毛数目、类型及形态,基部感毛数目及形态等几个方面.同属各种间差异不大.血蜱属幼期和波斯锐缘蜱幼期之间也有一定的差异,主要表现在感器形状、顶端感毛数目以及基部感毛数目、形态和排列方式.须肢顶端感毛的内部结构在三种蜱中都可分为A、B两种类型.A型具两个腔:其一为圆形腔,内有树突;另一为新月形腔,无树突.靠近感毛顶端有通道通向外界.B型感毛在三种蜱中差异较大,其共同点是只具有一个含有树突的腔.  相似文献

为阐明长角血蜱Haemaphysalis longicornis孤雌生殖种群的哈氏器结构及发育特征, 用扫描电镜对其各虫期哈氏器进行了观察, 分析了血餐对哈氏器发育的影响。结果表明: 该种群幼蜱、 若蜱和成蜱哈氏器形态结构基本相同, 均由前窝和后囊构成。幼蜱前窝感毛6根, 位于同一基盘; 若蜱和成蜱哈氏器相似, 前窝感毛7根, 其中1根孔毛位于外侧基盘, 另6根感毛位于内侧基盘。各虫期饱血后哈氏器大小均比饥饿状态下显著增大(P<0.05)。幼蜱前窝与后囊面积比值与若蜱相比无显著差异(P>0.05), 若蜱前窝与后囊面积比值与成蜱相比差异显著(P<0.05)。各虫期哈氏器均在发育, 且血餐对哈氏器发育有重要影响。幼蜱至若蜱期哈氏器前窝与后囊的发育速度相似, 若蜱至成蜱期哈氏器前窝发育快于后囊。本研究结果在一定程度上揭示了孤雌生殖长角血蜱的哈氏器发育规律。  相似文献

The main complication sensory organs (the palpal organ and the tarsal sensory complex) of several species of gamasid mites were studied in scanning electron microscope. The species examined included permanent ectoparasites (Laelaps agilis, Laelaptidae), parasites of the nasal cavity and respiratory tract of birds (Sternostoma tracheocolum and Ptilonyssus reguli, Rhinonyssidae), dwellers of the sea littoral zone (Parasitus kempersi, Parasitus immanis, Parasitidae), and mites found on soil and on plants (Amblyseius barkeri, Parasitidae). Similar sensillar types, including olfactory SW-WP sensilla, contact chemo-mechanosensory (SW-UP and DW-UP) sensilla, termo-chemo-mechanosensitive (DW-WP) sensilla of two types, and tactile (NP) sensilla were found in all these species, excluding endoparasites, where some sensillar types (in particular, DW-WP sensilla with slit-like pores) are absent. It was shown that the topography of olfactory SW-WP sensilla of the tarsal complex reflects taxonomic position and phylogenetic history of mite genera, whereas the number of certain sensillar types and the degree of their development reflect ecological specialization of species. The palpal organ is characterized by rather uniform structure in mites of different families, dwellers of different environments, except for the endoparasites of the family Rhinonyssidae, where this organ is strongly reduced.  相似文献

本文进一步研究了:④厩真厉螨截肢前后的爬行行为,表明第1对足其感觉功能;②用古拉广厉螨分别截各对足驱避反应的对比试验,见到只有当截去第1对足跗节时失去嗅觉功能,而截去第Ⅱ、Ⅲ、Ⅳ对足时,各组都仍有嗅觉功能;⑤对格氏血厉螨、厩真厉螨、毒厉螨和鼠颚毛厉螨进行涂漆前后的驱避试验,显示当跗感器被涂满封闭,则嗅觉功能消失;④以0.5%结晶紫或龙胆紫液染色的截肢标本,观察了厩真厉螨、毒厉螨、格氏血厉螨、古拉广厉螨及尾足螨股一种螨,足Ⅰ跗节末端凹窝中,至少都存在两类感毛,钝钉型感毛和长而尖的刚毛型感毛;⑤厩真厉螨雌螨和幼螨跗感器的钝钉毛分别为8根和5根,另外各有2根短而尖的毛,分别测定了长度,描述了形态特点;⑥透射电镜观察厩真厉螨、毒厉螨等的跗感器钝钉毛,毛外围有表皮壁,壁上有很多微孔,内有中心腔,腔内有树突。属化感器——嗅觉器;⑦电生理技术研究,当用氨和醋酸的气体刺激厩真厉螨、毒厉螨的离体足Ⅰ时,均产生明显的应激电位差,充分证明足Ⅰ辩节有嗅觉功能。  相似文献

The ultramorphology of the antennae and mouthparts of the adult Loxocephala perpunctata Jacobi was studied through a scanning electron microscope. Seven types of sensilla were found on antennomeres, including a Böhm bristle on the scape, sensillum trichoideum and plaque organ on the pedicel, two subtypes of sensilla chaetica and two subtypes of sensilla campaniformia on these two antennomeres; and Bourgoin's organ with sensory pegs and sensilla basiconicum on the basal bulb of the flagellum. The mouthparts of L. perpunctata are of the typical piercing-sucking type, similar to mouthparts found in other hemipteran insects. In general, six types of sensilla (i.e., four subtypes of sensilla chaetica, sensillum basiconicum, subapical labial sensillum, uniporous peg-like sensillum, multiporous peg-like sensillum and two subtypes of bristle-like sensilla) were detected on different locations of the labium, with the last three, and numerous cuticular processes, present on the labial tip. The potential functions of these sensilla are discussed.  相似文献

The fine structure and primary sensory projections of sensilla located in the labial-palp pit organ of the cotton bollworm Helicoverpa armigera (Insecta, Lepidoptera) are investigated by scanning electron and transmission electron microscopy combined with confocal laser scanning microscopy. The pit organ located on the third segment of the labial palp is about 300 μm deep with a 60-μm-wide opening, each structure containing about 1200 sensilla. Two sensillum types have been found, namely hair-shaped and club-shaped sensilla, located on the upper and lower half of the pit, respectively. Most sensilla possess a single dendrite. The dendrite housed by the club-shaped sensilla is often split into several branches or becomes lamellated in the outer segment. As reported previously, the sensory axons of the sensilla in the labial pit organ form a bundle entering the ipsilateral side of the subesophageal ganglion via the labial palp nerve and project to three distinct areas: the labial pit organ glomerulus in each antennal lobe, the subesophageal ganglion and the ventral nerve cord. In the antennal lobe, the labial pit organ glomerulus is innervated by sensory axons from the labial pit organ only; no antennal afferents target this unit. One neuron has been found extending fine processes into the subesophageal ganglion and innervating the labial palp via one branch passing at the base of the labial palp nerve. The soma of this assumed motor neuron is located in the ipsilateral cell body layer of the subesophageal ganglion. Our results provide valuable knowledge concerning the neural circuit encoding information about carbon dioxide and should stimulate further investigations directed at controlling pest species such as H. armigera.  相似文献

Extract of steer wool odor was found to excite olfactory receptor(s) in a wall-pore olfactory sensillum on the distal knoll of the Haller's organ. Three active volatile compounds were revealed in this odor by gas chromatography. Electrophysiological experiments revealed two types of receptors (sensory neurons) within the sensilla examined. One type of receptor responded only to phenolic derivatives, such as o-chlorophenol, o-bromophenol, o-methylphenol, 2,6-dichlorophenol, 2,6-dibromophenol, 2,4,6-trichlorophenol, but not to o-nithrophenol, p-methylphenol, 2,5-dichlorophenol, 3,5-dichlorophenol, 2,6-dinithrophenol, 2,6-dimethylphenol, and pentachlorophenol. The other type of receptor responded only to gamma-valerolactone. It is assumed that these cells play an important role in perception of a host from long distances (10-15 m), which is typical of Ixodes ricinus ticks.  相似文献

触角感器是昆虫对环境变化产生行为响应的重要基本结构单元,作为昆虫内部神经系统与外部环境进行信息交流的关键接口,受到广泛关注。由于不同环境压力的作用,长期适应性进化使昆虫触角上着生有不同类型的感器,且执行着差异化的生物学功能。触角感器在昆虫识别寄主、寻找配偶、躲避天敌等行为变化中具有重要作用,若深入理解昆虫行为变化的内在机理,则有必要清晰认识昆虫触角感器类型与潜在功能。本文对已有研究结果进行系统性综述与总结。截止目前,共发现有61种昆虫触角感器类型,且触角感器存在种内与种间特征差异。同时针对12种常见的触角感器功能进行梳理,提出昆虫触角感器未来可深入开展的研究方向。本文全面了解各昆虫触角感器类型特征和功能,为从形态结构方面进行昆虫分类研究提供新视角,也为今后从化学生态学角度深入开展昆虫行为对环境改变的适应性等研究提供科学依据。  相似文献

Interest in the structure of the antennae of the Florida Queen butterfly arises from the finding that a pheromone is active in their courtship. Light and electron microscopic techniques were used to study the sensilla on the antennae and three types of sensilla with perforated walls were identified. The most common of these are short, thin-walled pegs which are distributed over most of the antennal surface. Long, curved, thin-walled pegs occur in patches on the inner medial antennal surface. Multiple coeloconic sensilla are present having up to 50 pegs in one sensillum. On the outer 28 flagellar subsegments there are two such sensilla per subsegment. In addition there are on the antennae long, thick-walled hairs which are mechanoreceptors and probably also contact chemoreceptors. Sunken pegs, the function of which is not known, occur on the antennae. Grooved sensilla were found with the electron microscope but could not be identified with the light microscope. There was no indication of sexual dimorphism in sensilla types or numbers on the antennae.  相似文献

Summary Wall-pore sensilla in the capsule of Haller's organ on foreleg tarsi of the tick, Amblyomma variegatum, show multicellular responses upon stimulation with human and bovine breath. Filtering breath through charcoal removes the stimulant for some of these receptors. Analysis by gas chromatography coupled with olfactory sensillum electrophysiological recordings indicates that an ethanol extract of the breath components trapped on charcoal contains a major stimulant eluting at the same retention time as H2S. Two types of H2S-sensitive receptors have been identified. They are housed in separate sensilla, and are called sulfide-receptor 1 and 2.Although, both receptor types are characterized by a high sensitivity to H2S with an estimated threshold of ca. 0.1 ppb and a response range covering 5–6 log orders of magnitude, their overall response to sulfides and mercaptans is nevertheless dissimilar. The type 1 receptor fires slightly more upon stimulations with H2S than type 2, whereas ethylmercaptan induces a stronger response from type 2, and dimethyl sulfide activates only receptor 2.In a bioassay, H2S tested at concentrations of ca. 0.02 ppm and 1 ppm equally arouses 60% of resting ticks. Two-thirds of these ticks quest the air with their first pair of legs, and the remainder start active search. By contrast, H2S at ca. l ppm in a mixture with CO2 severely diminishes the locomotor stimulating effect of CO2.  相似文献

The labial palps and their sensilla of the peach fruit moth Carposina sasakii Matsumura, a serious pest of pome fruits in eastern Asia, were investigated using light microscopy and scanning and transmission electron microscopy. The labial palps are three‐segmented and exhibit distinct sexual dimorphism in length: much longer in the female than in the male. Four types of sensilla were found on the labial palps: campaniform, squamiform, chaetic and flattened sensilla. The campaniform sensilla are present on the first segment alone. The squamiform sensilla are located on all the three segments. The chaetic sensilla are mainly present on the third segment. The flattened sensilla are grooved with wall pores and situated in a labial palp‐pit organ, which is located at the apex of the distal segment of the labial palp. The sexual dimorphism of the labial palp and the labial palp‐pit organ was briefly discussed.  相似文献

本文报道了用扫描电镜观察革蜱属8种成虫的哈氏器.其中三种成虫(阿坝革蜱D. ahaensis、金泽革蜱D. auratus和中华革蜱D. sinicus)的哈氏器结构是首次报道,并与其他属6种成虫的哈氏器进行了比较,以阐明其形态特征及其在分类中的意义.另外,还将这14种成虫哈氏器与各自未成熟期的哈氏器进行了比较.分析和讨论了同种不同时期哈氏器结构的异同.东洋区的金泽革蜱和古北区的革蜱种类间,在孔毛形状,位置及基盘数目上有明显差别,而后者中,边缘革蜱D. marginatus的孔毛位于近端外侧,草原革蜱D. nuttalli和网纹革蜱D. reticulatus的孔毛位于远瑞外侧,其余种类无明显差别.  相似文献

The investigation of the antennae of Scutigera coleoptrata (Linnaeus, 1758) by scanning electron microscopy (SEM) revealed the presence of five types of sensilla: sensilla trichodea, beak‐like sensilla, cone‐shaped sensilla brachyconica on the terminal article, sensory cones at the antennal nodes, and the shaft organ. Alongside the presence and absence of antennal sensillar types, three unique characters were found in the Scutigeromorpha: the presence of long antennae with nodes bearing sensory cones, the presence of a bipartite shaft including the shaft organ, and the presence of beak‐like sensilla. Neuroanatomical data showed that the animals' brains are equipped with well‐developed primary olfactory and mechanosensory centers, suggesting that the antennae must be equipped with specialized sensilla to perceive chemosensory and mechanosensory cues. With the evidence provided in this article for the Scutigeromorpha, SEM data are available at last on the antennal sensilla for all five chilopod taxa, allowing a comparative discussion of antennal morphology in Chilopoda. External morphology of antennal sensilla on female and male Trichogramma australicum (Hymenoptera : Trichogrammatidae) was examined using scanning electron microscopy. Antennae show strong sexual dimorphism in structure and types of sensilla. The female antenna displays 14 types of sensilla: basiconic capitate peg sensilla (types 1 and 2), campaniform sensilla, chaetica sensilla (types 1–3), coeloconic sensilla, falcate sensilla, placoid sensilla (types 1 and 2), styloconic sensilla and trichoid sensilla (types 1–3). The male antenna displays 12 types of sensilla: basiconic capitate peg sensilla (type 2), campaniform sensilla, chaetica sensilla (types 1–5), coeloconic sensilla, placoid sensilla (type 1), and trichoid sensilla (types 3–5). Falcate and styloconic sensilla occur only on the female antenna. Both sensilla probably are associated with host examination, host discrimination and oviposition behaviour. Male antennal trichoid sensilla types 4 and 5 are probably associated with courtship behaviour, because these types occur only on the male. We propose the term “falcate sensilla” for a unique female antennal sensilla; the number of falcate sensilla may be used for identification of Trichogramma spp. In addition, we report the presence of placoid sensilla type 2 and difference in structure of coeloconic sensilla in T. australicum. Variation in structure and position of antennal sensilla are discussed.  相似文献
