Kinetics of ammonium, nitrate and phosphorus uptake by Canna indica and Schoenoplectus validus 总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1
Canna indica L. is an upright perennial rhizomatous herb, and Schoenoplectus validus (Vahl) A. Löve and D. Löve is a tall, perennial, herbaceous sedge. The nutrient uptake kinetics of C. indica and S. validus were investigated using the modified depletion method after plants were grown for 4 weeks in simulated secondary-treated wastewater. The maximum uptake rate (Imax) and Michaelis–Menten constant (Km) were estimated by iterative curve fitting. The Imax for NH4N (623 μmol g−1 dry root weight h−1) was significantly higher than that for NO3N (338 μmol g−1 dry root weight h−1) in S. validus. In contrast, no difference was observed in C. indica. The Imax values for NO3N and NH4N were higher in S. validus than in C. indica. A significantly lower Km was detected for NO3N uptake in C. indica (385 μmol L−1) compared to that in S. validus (1908 μmol L−1). The Imax for PO4P did not differ between the plant species. The Km for PO4P was significantly higher in C. indica (157 μmol L−1) than in S. validus (60 μmol L−1). In conclusion, we found that S. validus preferred NH4N over NO3N, had greater capacity for N uptake and higher affinity for PO4P, but C. indica had greater affinity for NO3N. Nutrient uptake capacity is likely related to habitat preference, and is influenced by the structure of roots and rhizomes. 相似文献

刈割对人工湿地植物的生长和净化作用的影响,国内外学者的意见存在分歧。实验于2010年7月至2011年1月在华南师范大学生物园进行。利用水池(2m×2m×0.6m)构建风车草人工湿地生活污水处理系统,研究了刈割对人工湿地风车草生长和污水净化效果的影响。结果表明,刈割组风车草在整个实验过程中均保持着良好的生长态势,而对照组在11月以后生长减缓。刈割组风车草2010年7月至2011年1月的累积地上生物量、累积地上氮磷含量以及新增分蘖数均大于对照组,表现为超补偿生长。刈割组风车草的叶绿素含量、净光合速率、蒸腾速率和气孔传导率均显著高于对照组。刈割组和对照组的TN、TP、NH4-N和NO3-N的平均去除率分别为77%、84%、64%、72%和65%、67%、55%、63%,前者显著大于后者。刈割组和对照组的CODcr和BOD5平均去除率分别为58%、79%和54%、76%,两者差异不显著。总之,刈割对人工湿地风车草的生长和污水净化效果有明显的促进作用,这可为风车草人工湿地的科学管理提供参考。 相似文献

The effects of inorganic nitrogen (N) source (NH4+, NO3− or both) on growth, biomass allocation, photosynthesis, N uptake rate, nitrate reductase activity and mineral composition of Canna indica were studied in hydroponic culture. The relative growth rates (0.05-0.06 g g−1 d−1), biomass allocation and plant morphology of C. indica were indifferent to N nutrition. However, NH4+ fed plants had higher concentrations of N in the tissues, lower concentrations of mineral cations and higher contents of chlorophylls in the leaves compared to NO3− fed plants suggesting a slight advantage of NH4+ nutrition. The NO3− fed plants had lower light-saturated rates of photosynthesis (22.5 μmol m−2 s−1) than NH4+ and NH4+/NO3− fed plants (24.4-25.6 μmol m−2 s−1) when expressed per unit leaf area, but similar rates when expressed on a chlorophyll basis. Maximum uptake rates (Vmax) of NO3− did not differ between treatments (24-35 μmol N g−1 root DW h−1), but Vmax for NH4+ was highest in NH4+ fed plants (81 μmol N g−1 root DW h−1), intermediate in the NH4NO3 fed plants (52 μmol N g−1 root DW h−1), and lowest in the NO3− fed plants (28 μmol N g−1 root DW h−1). Nitrate reductase activity (NRA) was highest in leaves and was induced by NO3− in the culture solutions corresponding to the pattern seen in fast growing terrestrial species. Plants fed with only NO3− had high NRA (22 and 8 μmol NO2− g−1 DW h−1 in leaves and roots, respectively) whereas NRA in NH4+ fed plants was close to zero. Plants supplied with both forms of N had intermediate NRA suggesting that C. indica takes up and assimilate NO3− in the presence of NH4+. Our results show that C. indica is relatively indifferent to inorganic N source, which together with its high growth rate contributes to explain the occurrence of this species in flooded wetland soils as well as on terrestrial soils. Biodegradation by termites is a serious problem for wood and crop industries worldwide, and new environmentally friendly alternatives for termite control have been developed. This work investigated the effects of crude and purified preparations containing lectins from Opuntia ficus indica cladodes (OfiL) and Moringa oleifera seeds (WSMoL and cMoL) on Nasutitermes corniger workers and soldiers. Purified OfiL was more active than cladode extracts, showing a stronger termiticidal activity against workers (LC50 of 0.116 mg ml−1) than against soldiers. OfiL was active against soldiers only at 1.5 mg ml−1. All preparations containing WSMoL and cMoL were active only at concentrations of 1.0 and 1.5 mg ml−1. The tested preparations did not exert repellent activity against N. corniger. OfiL was able to kill workers and therefore is potentially a new tool for N. corniger control; as a consequence, this lectin could disturb organization, structure, and maintenance of termite colonies. 相似文献

The plant Pluchea indica is known for its anti-inflammatory, anti-ulcer, anti-pyretic, hypoglycemic, diuretic and anti-microbial activities besides many other pharmacological activities. We have isolated and purified seven compounds from the methanolic root extract of this plant by column chromatography. The compounds were identified by spectroscopic analyses. The anti-amoebic activities of the pure compound R/J/3 was investigated against the HM1 strain of Entamoeba histolytica. The compound, R/J/3 showed the most pronounced anti-proliferative activity at a dose of 50 microg/ml. It also showed a marked activity on cell lysis of trophozoites, 4h after administration. The cell lytic activity was compared with metronidazole (5 microg/ml) as positive control. 相似文献

Methylated anthocyanin glycosides were isolated from red Canna indica flower and identified as malvidin 3-O-(6-O-acetyl-β-d-glucopyranoside)-5-O-β-d-glucopyranoside (1), malvidin 3,5-O-β-d-diglucopyranoside (2), cyanidin-3-O-(6″-O-α-rhamnopyranosyl-β-glucopyranoside (3), cyanidin-3-O-(6″-O-α-rhamnopyranosyl)-β-galactopyranoside (4), cyanidin-3-O-β-glucopyranoside (5) and cyanidin-O-β-galactopyranoside (6) by HPLC-PDA. Their structures were subsequently determined on the basis of spectroscopic analyses, that is, 1H NMR, 13C NMR, HMQC, HMBC, ESI-MS, and UV-vis. 采用顶空固相微萃取(HS-SPME)结合气相色谱-质谱(GC/MS)联用仪测定技术,对尾叶紫薇(W1)与紫薇品种‘多花粉’(C)杂交各世代(F1、F2、BC1)个体的香气成分进行了分析比较。结果表明:(1)尾叶紫薇与F1代个体的挥发物成分均有25种,‘多花粉’的挥发物成分有10种,F2代及BC1代个体的挥发物成分均有26种。(2)月桂烯是尾叶紫薇与杂交子代共有的挥发物成分,但相对百分含量在亲本及各世代中均不高,分别为0.69%(W1)、3.16%(F1)、0.51%(F2)、0.75%(BC1)。(3)亲本及子代的香气成分和相对百分含量存在很大差异,尾叶紫薇、‘多花粉’与杂交子代(F1、F2、BC1)具有较高相对百分含量的挥发物成分分别为异香叶醇(26.21%)、1,1-二甲基-3-亚甲基-乙烯基环己烷(50.34%)、α-法尼烯(11.37%)、1,3,3-三甲基-2-乙烯基-环己烯(14.67%)及反-α-香柠檬烯(16.19%)。(4)尾叶紫薇、‘多花粉’与F1的主要挥发物成分为来源于脂氧合酶途径的脂肪酸衍生物,F2及BC1子代的主要挥发物成分为来源于甲羟戊酸(MVA)途径和2-C-甲基-D-赤藓糖醇-4-磷酸(MEP)途径的萜烯类化合物。研究结果为进一步了解紫薇香气成分的遗传规律奠定了基础。 相似文献

运用石蜡切片法和指甲油印迹法,对3个芭蕉芋品种的叶片解剖结构——叶片厚度、叶肉厚度、上表皮厚度、下表皮厚度、气孔密度、气孔长度及宽度、长细胞长度及宽度、短细胞长度及宽度等10项相关指标进行测定,分析芭蕉芋抗旱性与叶片结构之间的关系。结果表明:(1)芭蕉芋的表皮结构与抗旱性有一定的关系,表现为抗旱性强的品种气孔密度大,且长、短细胞体积小、排列紧密。(2)芭蕉芋叶片、叶肉、上下表皮厚度与抗旱性关系在不同品种间差异不显著。(3)芭蕉芋叶肉及上、下表皮占叶片横切面的比例与抗旱性存在显著相关关系。(4)芭蕉芋叶片保水能力与叶肉比例呈极显著负相关关系,与上表皮比例呈极显著正相关关系。 相似文献

A standard aqueous extract of Mangifera indica L., used in Cuba as antioxidant under the brand name VIMANG, was tested in vivo for its anti-inflammatory activity, using commonly accepted assays. The standard extract of M. indica, administered orally (50-200mg/kg body wt.), reduced ear edema induced by arachidonic acid (AA) and phorbol myristate acetate (PMA) in mice. In the PMA model, M. indica extract also reduced myeloperoxidase (MPO) activity. In vitro studies were performed using macrophage cell line J774 stimulated with pro-inflammatory stimuli lipopolysaccharide-interferon gamma (LPS-IFNgamma) or calcium ionophore A23187 to determine prostaglandin PGE(2) or leukotriene LTB(4) release, respectively. The extract inhibited the induction of PGE(2) and LTB(4) with IC(50) values of 21.7 and 26.0microg/ml, respectively. Mangiferin (a glucosylxanthone isolated from the extract) also inhibited these AA metabolites (PGE(2), IC(50) value=17.2microg/ml and LTB(4), IC(50) value=2.1microg/ml). These results represent an important contribution to the elucidation of the mechanism involved in the anti-inflammatory and anti-nociceptive effects reported for the standard extract of M. indica VIMANG. 相似文献

以0.5年生印楝半同胞家系实生苗为材料,设置4个干旱胁迫水平与3个遮光水平共12个处理盆栽试验,测定分析印楝叶片主要碳氮代谢酶活性、终产物含量及生长指标,以揭示印楝碳氮代谢对光照及水分胁迫的响应规律,为进一步研究印楝的物质转换及代谢规律充实理论基础。结果显示:(1)在干旱胁迫条件下,印楝可通过调节碳代谢酶(SS、SPS)和氮代谢酶(NR、GS、GOGAT)活性及加快可溶性糖、可溶性蛋白质和游离脯氨酸的积累以维持苗高较小的变幅。(2)在遮光条件下,轻度遮光就会导致印楝叶片主要碳氮代谢酶活性及代谢产物含量急剧下降,严重抑制幼苗生长。(3)在干旱胁迫和遮光共同存在的条件下,遮光(或干旱)在一定程度上可以减缓干旱(或遮光)对印楝初生代谢及生长带来的不利影响。研究发现,印楝幼苗具有较强的干旱适应能力,适度干旱胁迫(土壤相对含水量大于35%)可促进细胞碳氮代谢,但不利于净光和产物的积累;同时,印楝幼苗对光照需求较高,轻度遮光会使初生代谢及生长受到严重抑制;在苗木培育过程中要尽可能提供充足的水分和光照,在水分匮缺时可以通过适当遮光来缓解干旱对苗木生长带来的负面影响,而在光照不足的条件下则需要适当控制水分。 相似文献

以湿地挺水植物七叶红色大花美人蕉(Cana generalis Bailey)幼苗为实验材料,在温室中用150μmol/L氯化镁溶液预处理12h,然后置于硝态氮(NO3--N)浓度为10mg/L的农田废水中处理,考察氯化镁预处理对美人蕉吸收农田废水中硝态氮效率的影响,以及处理期间根部质膜H+-ATPase活性、H+-泵活性、14-3-3蛋白与质膜H+-ATPase相互作用。结果显示:经过150μmol/L氯化镁溶液预处理12h后,美人蕉吸收农田废水中硝态氮的效率比对照增加11%;与没有预处理的植株相比,氯化镁预处理美人蕉根中质膜H+-ATPase和H+-泵的活性均显著提高,质膜H+-ATPase和14-3-3蛋白的相互作用显著增强。研究表明,氯化镁能够通过增强质膜H+-ATPase与14-3-3蛋白的相互作用来提高质膜H+-ATPase的活性,从而增加美人蕉对硝态氮的吸收效率。 相似文献

The present investigation demonstrates the hepatoprotective potential of 50% ethanolic water extract of whole plant of Fumaria indica and its three fractions viz., hexane, chloroform and butanol against d-galactosamine induced hepatotoxicity in rats. The hepatoprotection was assessed in terms reduction in histological damage, changes in serum enzymes (SGOT, SGPT, ALP) and metabolites bilirubin, reduced glutathione (GSH) and lipid peroxidation (MDA content). Among fractions more than 90% protection was found with butanol fraction in which alkaloid protopine was quantified as highest i.e. about 0.2 mg/g by HPTLC. The isolated protopine in doses of 10–20 mg p.o. also proved equally effective hepatoprotectants as standard drug silymarine (single dose 25 mg p.o.). In general all treatments excluding hexane fraction proved hepatoprotective at par with silymarine (p0.01). 相似文献

Plants have many well-documented influences in treatment wetlands, but differences in individual species’ effects on year-round and seasonal performance are poorly understood. In this study, we evaluated plant effects on seasonal patterns of organic carbon removal (measured as COD) and sulfate concentration (used as an indicator of rootzone oxidation) in replicated, batch-loaded, greenhouse microcosms simulating subsurface treatment wetlands. Microcosms were planted with monocultures of 19 plant species or left unplanted as controls, dosed every 20 days with synthetic secondary wastewater, and operated over 20 months at temperatures from 4 to 24 °C. Study-long COD removal averaged 70% for controls and 70-97% for individual species. Most species enhanced COD removal significantly and the benefits of plants were greatest at 4-8 °C because COD removal decreased at low temperatures in controls but displayed limited seasonal variation in planted microcosms. Removal was significantly better at 24 °C than 4 °C with two species (Panicum virgatum and Leymus cinereus), significantly poorer with two species (Carex utriculata and Phalaris arundinacea), and did not differ with 15 species. Only one species showed a significant positive correlation between temperature and COD removal (Iris missouriensis, r = 0.67), while two species showed significant negative correlations (better when colder: Carex nebrascensis, r = −0.67; C. utriculata, r = −0.93). High COD removal throughout the study was strongly associated with high SO4 concentrations at low temperatures, suggesting that plant performance is related to rootzone oxidation and species’ abilities to promote aerobic over anaerobic microbial processes, particularly in winter. Results indicate that improved year-round and cold-season COD removal is common across diverse wetland plant species and novel species can be as good or better than those typically used. Better performing species were largely in the sedge and rush families (Cyperaceae and Juncaceae), while poorer performing species were largely in the grass family (Poaceae). 相似文献

为探讨修剪措施对二次开花的紫叶紫薇花蕾中内源激素和碳氮营养含量的影响,为指导紫叶紫薇花期调控提供理论依据,该研究以‘丹红紫叶’为试验材料,在一次花的末花期对主花枝进行重度修剪,以不进行修剪为对照(CK),分析不同处理下紫叶紫薇花蕾中主要花发育时期的吲哚乙酸(IAA)、脱落酸(ABA)、赤霉素(GA3)、玉米素核苷(ZR)、可溶性糖、淀粉、全氮含量的变化。结果表明:(1)修剪处理后,紫叶紫薇花蕾中内源ZR含量在各花发育时期显著升高;内源GA3含量在花芽分化期降低,在初花期至末花期显著升高;内源IAA含量在花芽分化期显著升高,在初花期至末花期降低;内源ABA含量变化不显著。(2)修剪处理后,紫叶紫薇花蕾可溶性糖含量较对照组先升高后降低,在末花期变化达到显著水平;其淀粉、全氮含量增加但未达到显著水平。(3)紫叶紫薇花蕾中碳氮比总体呈上升趋势,修剪处理后其碳氮比值小幅度提高。研究认为,修剪措施能够影响紫叶紫薇内源激素水平变化,并通过调控碳水化合物与全氮含量影响花蕾中碳氮营养代谢,从而促进了紫叶紫薇二次成花、花期延长。 相似文献

Biomass allocation patterns in terrestrial, epiphytic and aquatic species of Utricularia (Lentibulariaceae) 总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1
Utricularia forms the largest genus of carnivorous plants and is characterized by the possession of typical traps (“bladders”). Total biomass allocation was examined in three aquatic, six terrestrial and one epiphytic species of Utricularia from natural habitats in West Africa and from the Botanical Gardens, Bonn. Total biomass of aquatic species was considerably higher than that of terrestrial or epiphytic species. Epiphytic Utricularia accumulate about 35% of their biomass in green leaves, in contrast to 65% of nearly chlorophylless reproductive structures and traps. Aquatic species allocated more than 85% of their total biomass to stolons, leaves and traps, but only 10–13% to reproductive structures. This is in stark contrast to the allocation patterns of terrestrial bladderworts. These species allocate nearly 90% of their total biomass in reproductive structures, and only about 10% to stolons, leaves and traps. This reduction of photosynthetically active plant tissue strongly suggests that as a consequence of the alternative resource of chemical energy, the carnivorous habit might have partly replaced autotrophy in certain terrestrial Utricularia species, especially in some smaller ones. 相似文献

We investigated the effects of different hydrological regimes (wet [flooded at a constant water depth for duration of the study], cycle [reflooded at eight weeks following natural drying], and wet–dry [initially flooded and allowed to naturally dry for duration of the study]) on the competitive ability of Schoenoplectus fluviatilis (Torr.) M. T. Strong with an annual, native wetland plant (Polygonum pensylvanicum L.) and a perennial, wetland plant (Schoenoplectus tabernaemontani [C. C. Gmel.] Palla). To assess competitive response of the plants, we used a greenhouse target-neighbor study with neighbor plants planted at varying densities (0 [control], 1, 10, and 15 plants pot−1). Our results suggest that S. fluviatilis is competitively superior to S. tabernaemontani and P. pensylvanicum. S. tabernaemontani and P. pensylvanicum biomass declined by 90% and 75% in presence of S. fluviatilis, respectively. However, the competitive ability of S. fluviatilis was generally not enhanced by flooding regime. The competitive coefficients of S. fluviatilis were similar among the three hydrological regimes under intraspecific competition and interspecific competition with S. tabernaemontani, but for interspecific competition with P. pensylvanicum, the competitive coefficient for S. fluviatilis was higher for the cycle treatment compared to the wet–dry and dry treatments. Interestingly, S. tabernaemontani was a strong competitor against S. fluviatilis in the wet and cycle treatments, indicating that maintaining longer hydroperiods could be used as a management tool to encourage growth of S. tabernaemontani and reduce encroachment of S. fluviatilis. 相似文献

Growth of Phragmites australis and Phalaris arundinacea in constructed wetlands for wastewater treatment in the Czech Republic 总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1
Common reed (Phragmites australis) and reed canarygrass (Phalaris arundinacea) are two most commonly used plant species in constructed wetlands for wastewater treatment in the Czech Republic. Growth characteristics of both plants (biomass, stem count, and length) have been measured in 13 horizontal sub-surface flow constructed wetlands since 1992. The results revealed that while Phalaris usually reaches its maximum biomass as early as during the second growing season, Phragmites usually reaches its maximum only after three to four growing seasons. The maximum biomass of both species varies widely among systems and the highest measured values (5070 g m−2 for Phragmites and 1900 g m−2 for Phalaris) are similar to those found in eutrophic natural stands. The shoot count of Phragmites decreases after the second growing season while length and weight of individual shoots increases over time due to self-thinning process. Number of Phalaris shoots is the highest during the second season and then the shoot count remains about the same. Also the shoot length remains steady over years of constructed wetland operation. 相似文献

采用盆栽试验,研究了美洲黑杨(Populus deltoides)凋落叶分解初期对受体植物小白菜(Brassica chinensis)生长和生理的影响。试验设置0、30、60和90 g/盆4个凋落叶施用水平(分别记作CK、L30、L60和L90)。同时,为检验凋落叶施入是否对土壤通气透水性产生明显影响进而影响受体植物的生长,用蒸煮后的凋落叶设置平行空白试验,即30、60、90 g/盆3个蒸著后的凋落叶处理(分别记作Z30、Z60和Z90)。将各处理的凋落叶分别与7 kg土壤混合,播种小白菜。在播种后50、80 d测定小白菜株高和生理指标。结果表明:1)高量(L90)凋落叶下小白菜的高生长和鲜重于50 d时被显著抑制,80 d时长势恢复正常;2)80 d时各处理净光合速率(Pn)与CK水平相当,色素含量略低于CK;3)50、80 d时,低(L30)、中(L60)量处理的超氧化物歧化酶(SOD)活性无明显变化,高量处理下SOD活性升高;4)各处理丙二醛(MDA)含量在50、80 d时与CK均无显著差异。总的来看,杨树各凋落叶量处理对小白菜的影响表现为:低、中量促进,高量抑制,而经蒸煮后的凋落叶处理间差异不显著。表明,低、中量杨树凋落叶在土壤中分解对小白菜生长及生理代谢的影响主要表现为促进作用,而施入高量凋落叶的初期,化感抑制作用明显。 相似文献
