The converting enzyme inhibitor enalapril, in single daily doses of 10-40 mg, was given to 20 hypertensive patients with renal artery stenosis. The blood pressure fall six hours after the first dose of enalapril was significantly related to the pretreatment plasma concentrations of active renin and angiotensin II and to the concurrent fall in angiotensin II. Blood pressure fell further with continued treatment; the long term fall was not significantly related to pretreatment plasma renin or angiotensin II concentrations. At three months, 24 hours after the last dose of enalapril, blood pressure, plasma angiotensin II, and converting enzyme activity remained low and active renin and angiotensin I high; six hours after dosing, angiotensin II had, however, fallen further. The rise in active renin during long term treatment was proportionally greater than the rise in angiotensin I; this probably reflects the fall in renin substrate that occurs with converting enzyme inhibition. Enalapril alone caused reduction in exchangeable sodium, with distinct increases in serum potassium, creatinine, and urea. Enalapril was well tolerated and controlled hypertension effectively long term; only two of the 20 patients required concomitant diuretic treatment.  相似文献

The effect of prolonged preoperative treatment with spironolactone has been studied in a series of 67 patients with hypertension, aldosterone excess, and low plasma renin. In the series as a whole a highly significant reduction in both systolic and diastolic pressures was achieved, with no evidence of escape from control during therapy lasting several years in some cases. The drug was equally effective in controlling blood pressure in patients with and without adrenocortical adenomata. Occasional unresponsive patients were encountered in both groups; pretreatment blood urea levels in these were significantly higher than in the responsive patients. The hypotensive effect of spironolactone usually predicted the subsequent response to adrenal surgery.Spironolactone in all cases corrected plasma electrolyte abnormalities; significant increases in total exchangeable (or total body) potassium and significant reductions in total exchangeable sodium, total body water, extracellular fluid, and plasma volumes were seen. Plasma urea rose during treatment and there was a slight fall in mean body weight. Significant increases in peripheral venous plasma renin and angiotensin II concentrations occurred during treatment. In two patients no increase in aldosterone secretion rate was found during treatment, although plasma aldosterone rose in three of four subjects studied.Severe side effects were rare; in only two of the 67 patients did the drug have to be stopped. In addition to its routine preoperative use, spironolactone can now be advised as long-term therapy in selected patients.  相似文献

The objectives of this study were to investigate and compare the responses of atrial natriuretic peptide (ANP) and B-type natriuretic peptide (BNP) in the circulation of hydrated, dehydrated, and dehydrated losartan - treated camels; and to document the cardiac storage form of B-type natriuretic peptide in the camel heart. Eighteen male camels were used in the study: control or hydrated camels (n = 6), dehydrated camels (n = 6) and dehydrated losartan-treated camels (n = 6) which were dehydrated and received the angiotensin II (Ang II) AT-1 receptor blocker, losartan, at a dose of 5 mg/kg body weight intravenously for 20 days. Control animals were supplied with feed and water ad-libitum while both dehydrated and dehydrated-losartan treated groups were supplied with feed ad-libitum but no water for 20 days. Compared with time-matched controls, dehydrated camels exhibited a significant decrease in plasma levels of both ANP and BNP. Losartan-treated camels also exhibited a significant decline in ANP and BNP levels across 20 days of dehydration but the changes were not different from those seen with dehydration alone. Size exclusion high performance liquid chromatography of extracts of camel heart indicated that proB-type natriuretic peptide is the storage form of the peptide. We conclude first, that dehydration in the camel induces vigorous decrements in circulating levels of ANP and BNP; second, blockade of the renin-angiotensin system has little or no modulatory effect on the ANP and BNP responses to dehydration; third, proB-type natriuretic peptide is the storage form of this hormone in the heart of the one-humped camel.  相似文献

The effects of synthetic atrial natriuretic factor (ANF) on the renin-aldosterone axis were studied in fifteen 4-7 day-old male milk-fed calves divided into 3 groups of 5 animals each. Synthetic ANF intravenous (i.v.) administration (1.6 micrograms/kg body wt over 30 min) induced a transient significant fall in plasma renin activity (from 2.5 +/- 0.3 to 1.7 +/- 0.3 ng angiotensin l/ml/h; P less than 0.05) but failed to reduce basal plasma aldosterone levels in the first group of animals. Administration (i.v.) of angiotensin II (AII) (0.8 micrograms/kg body wt for 75 min) was accompanied by a progressive fall in plasma renin activity (from 2.2 +/- 0.3 to 0.8 +/- 0.1 ng angiotensin l/ml/h; P less than 0.01) and by an increase in plasma aldosterone levels (from 55 +/- 3 to 86 +/- 5 pg/ml; P less than 0.01) both in the second and the third groups; addition of ANF to AII infusion (AII: 0.5 mu/kg body wt for 45 min; AII: 0.3 micrograms/kg body wt and ANF 1.6 micrograms/kg body wt during 30 min) in the third group did not modify plasma renin activity or AII-stimulated plasma aldosterone levels when compared to the AII-treated group. These findings show that in the newborn calf ANF is able to reduce plasma renin activity but fails to affect basal and AII-stimulated plasma aldosterone levels, suggesting that the zona glomerulosa of the newborn adrenal cortex is insensitive to a diuretic, natriuretic and hypotensive dose of the atrial peptide.  相似文献

This investigation examined plasma arginine vasopressin (AVP) and aldosterone (Ald) responses to 1) oral and intravenous (IV) methods of rehydration (Rh) and 2) different IV Rh osmotic loads. We hypothesized that AVP and Ald responses would be similar between IV and oral Rh and that the greater osmolality and sodium concentration of a 0.9% IV saline treatment would stimulate a greater AVP response compared with a 0.45% IV saline treatment. On four occasions, eight men (age: 22.1 +/- 0.8 yr; height: 179.6 +/- 1.5 cm; weight: 73.6 +/- 2.5 kg; maximum O(2) consumption: 57.9 +/- 1.6 ml. kg(-1). min(-1), body fat: 7.7 +/- 0.9%) performed a dehydration (Dh) protocol (33 degrees C) to establish a 4-5% reduction in body weight. After Dh, subjects underwent each of three randomly assigned Rh (back to -2% body wt) treatments (0.9 and 0.45% IV saline, 0.45% oral saline) and a no Rh treatment during the first 45 min of a 100-min rest period. Blood samples were obtained pre-Dh, immediately post-Dh, and at 15, 35, and 55 min post-Rh. Before Dh, plasma AVP and Ald were not different among treatments but were significantly elevated post-Dh. In general, at 15, 35, and 55 min post-Rh, AVP, Ald, osmolality, and plasma volume shifts did not differ between IV and oral fluid replacement. These results demonstrated that the manner in which plasma AVP and Ald responded to oral and IV Rh or to different sodium concentrations (0.9 vs. 0.45%) was not different given the degree of Dh (-4.5% body wt) and Rh and amount of time after Rh (55 min).  相似文献

Effect of aldosterone on vascular angiotensin II receptors in the rat   总被引:3,自引:0,他引:3
The effect of aldosterone on the density and affinity of binding sites for 125I-labelled angiotensin II was investigated in a particulate fraction prepared from the rat mesenteric arteriolar arcades. The infusion of aldosterone 6.6 micrograms/h intraperitoneally via Alzet osmotic minipumps for 6 d produced an increase in the density of binding sites for 125I-labelled angiotensin II without change in affinity. After sodium depletion, mesenteric artery angiotensin II receptors were down-regulated as expected. An increase in the number of binding sites could be found when aldosterone was infused into sodium-depleted rats with no change in the elevated plasma renin activity. The intraperitoneal infusion of angiotensin II (200 ng X kg-1 X min-1 for 6 d) simultaneously with aldosterone resulted in down-regulation of vascular angiotensin II receptors, whereas after intravenous angiotensin II infusion (at 60 ng X kg-1 X min-1) the density of angiotensin II binding sites rose with aldosterone infusion. Plasma renin activity (PRA) was reduced and plasma angiotensin II increased in a dose-dependent fashion after angiotensin II infusion. An aldosterone concentration of 3 ng/mL for 18 h produced an increase in the number of angiotensin II binding sites in rat mesenteric artery smooth muscle cells in culture. We conclude that increased plasma aldosterone may result in up-regulation of vascular angiotensin II receptors independently of changes in plasma renin activity, and may in certain physiological states effectively antagonize the down-regulating action of angiotensin II.  相似文献

The effects of hydromineral hormones and catecholamines on renal concentrating ability at different hydration states were examined in five male volunteers while they performed three trials. Each of these trials comprised a 60-min exercise bout on a treadmill (at 50% of maximal oxygen uptake) in a warm environment (dry bulb temperature, 35°C; relative humidity, 20–30%). In one session, subjects were euhydrated before exercise (C). In the two other sessions, after thermal dehydration (loss of 3% body mass) which markedly reduced plasma volume (PV) and increased plasma osmolality (osmpl), the subjects exercised either not rehydrated (Dh) or rehydrated (Rh) by drinking 600 ml of mineral water before and 40 min after the onset of exercise. During exercise in the Dh compared to C state, plasma renin, aldosterone, arginine vasopressin (AVP), noradrenaline and adrenaline concentrations were increased (P < 0.05). A reduction in creatinine clearance and urine flow was also observed (P < 0.05) together with a decrease in urine osmolality, osmolar clearance and sodium excretion, while free water clearance increased (P < 0.05). However, compared to Dh, Rh partially restored PV and osmpl and induced a marked reduction in the time courses of both the plasma AVP and catecholamine responses (P < 0.05). Values for renal water and electrolyte excretion were intermediate between those of Dh and C. Plasma atrial natriuretic peptide presented similar changes whatever the hydration state. These results demonstrate that during moderate exercise in the heat, renal concentrating ability is paradoxically reduced by prior dehydration in spite of high plasma AVP levels, and might be the result of marked activation of the sympatho-adrenal system. Rehydration, by reducing this activation, could partially restore the renal concentrating ability despite the lowered plasma AVP. Accepted: 23 April 1997  相似文献

Synthetic ovine corticotropin-releasing factor (oCRF) and arginine vasopressin (AVP) were intravenously injected each alone or in combination (each peptide: 1 microgram/kg body weight) in lambs on days 1, 3, 7 and 20 after birth. Plasma samples were collected just before and 10 and 30 min after injection. Plasma concentrations of cortisol and aldosterone were measured. Adrenocorticotropin (ACTH)-related peptides were isolated by Sephadex G50 column chromatography and measured by radioimmunoassay. Three different peaks with an ACTH immunoreactivity were found in lamb plasma: a "big" ACTH molecular form (Mr = 30,000), an "intermediate" (Mr = 8000) and a "little" (Mr = 4500). In 1 and 3 days-old lambs, both CRF and AVP increased preferentially "intermediate" ACTH. In 7 and 20 days-old lambs, an increase in "little" ACTH occurred after CRF whereas "intermediate" ACTH rose after AVP. The rise in plasma levels of different molecular forms of ACTH after stimulation by CRF or AVP could suggest that the biological pathway of ACTH synthesis, storage and release may occur in different intracellular pools or rather in different pituitary cells. Intermediate ACTH stimulated adrenal secretion of cortisol as soon as the first day of postnatal life and increased plasma aldosterone concentration in 7 and 20 day-old lambs. At these stages aldosterone level did not change after a rise in "little" ACTH.  相似文献

We speculated that the influence of lateral preoptic area (LPO) in sodium balance, involves arginine8-vasopressin (AVP) and angiotensin (ANG II) on Na+ uptake in LPO. Therefore, the present study investigated the effects of central administration of specific AVP and ANG II antagonists (d(CH2)5-Tyr (Me)-AVP (AAVP) and [Adamanteanacetyl1, 0-ET-d-Tyr2, Val4, Aminobutyryl6, Arg(8,9)]-AVP (ATAVP) antagonists of V1 and V2 receptors of AVP. Also the effects of losartan and CGP42112A (selective ligands of the AT1 and AT2 angiotensin receptors, respectively), was investigated on Na+ uptake and renal fluid and electrolyte excretion. After an acclimatization period of 7 days, the animals were maintained under tribromoethanol (200 mg/kg body weight, intraperitonial) anesthesia and placed in a Kopf stereotaxic instrument. Stainless guide cannula was implanted into the LPO. AAVP and ATAVP injected into the LPO prior to AVP produced a reduction in the NaCl intake. Both the AT1 and AT2 ligands administered into the LPO elicited a decrease in the NaCl intake induced by AVP injected into the LPO. AVP injection into the LPO increased sodium renal excretion, but this was reduced by prior AAVP administration. The ATAVP produced a decreased in the natriuretic effect of AVP. The losartan injected into LPO previous to AVP decreased the sodium excretion and the CGP 421122A also decreased the natriuretic effect of AVP. The AVP produced an antidiuresis effect that was inhibited by prior administration into LPO of the ATAVP. The AAVP produced no change in the antidiuretic effect of AVP. These results suggest that LPO are implicated in sodium balance that is mediated by V1, V2, AT1 and AT2 receptors.  相似文献

The role of arginine vasopressin (AVP) in blood pressure regulation in humans and animals is still controversial. The present study was designed to investigate the effects of AVP on blood pressure and the excretion of sodium and prostaglandin (PG) E2 in rabbits. AVP dissolved in 0.01 M acetic acid was infused subcutaneously at a rate of 0.86 ng/kg/min with a miniosmotic pump into 12 New Zealand white rabbits (2.7-3.4 kg), while 10 controls were given vehicle alone. AVP infusion resulted in a 3.5-fold rise in the level of plasma AVP (21.8 +/- 4.4 (SEM) pg/ml) as compared with controls, associated with a significant decrease in the urine volume and urinary excretion of sodium. The PGE2 excretion was increased 1.8-fold after AVP infusion. In the chronic AVP-infused group, blood pressure was not significantly increased, but the acute vascular response to AVP was significantly attenuated without any changes in the vasopressor response to angiotensin II. Preadministration of V1-antagonist completely abolished the vasopressor action of AVP, but not that of angiotensin II, in either group. These results suggest that circulating AVP within physiological range of concentrations may stimulate renal PGE2 synthesis and attenuate the vascular response through vascular V1 receptors without affecting the baroreflex, which may be attenuated through V2 receptors.  相似文献

The effects of intravenous infusions of arginine vasopressin (AVP) alone and with angiotensin II (AII) on renal function were studied in conscious Merino ewes. AVP at 11.5 pmol.min-1 caused an increase in water and electrolyte output which was associated with a rise in glomerular filtration rate (GFR), solute clearance, solute-free water reabsorption and tubular sodium reabsorption. Addition of AII of 100 ng.min-1 generally reversed all of these effects. The filtration fraction, which rose during AVP infusion, increased further when AII was added due to a greater fall in renal plasma flow than in GFR. The diuretic and electrolyte-excreting effects of infused AVP appeared to be brought about by an increase in GFR. It is suggested that this inappropriate effect of AVP, which is secreted in response to water deprivation, could be countered by the simultaneous production of AII.  相似文献

Withdrawal of captopril therapy for cardiac failure results in increments in plasma cortisol, noradrenaline and heart rate. To determine whether these changes related to the concomitant rise in circulating angiotensin II, we infused angiotensin II at 0.5, 2, 4 and 8 ng/kg/minute, each infusion lasting for 1 hour, in 4 patients during maintenance captopril therapy for heart failure. A control solution of 5% dextrose was infused over a similar time interval on a separate day. The study was performed under metabolic balance conditions, with constant body posture and continuous haemodynamic monitoring. Angiotensin II induced the expected rise in arterial pressure and in plasma aldosterone. In contrast the diurnal decline in plasma ACTH and cortisol was not altered, and no changes in noradrenaline or heart rate were observed. Plasma angiotensin II appears to have little or no effect on ACTH, cortisol, noradrenaline and heart rate under the conditions of this study.  相似文献

Nine healthy volunteers underwent three experimental procedures in random order. The protocols were 4 h of thermal dehydration followed by 2 h of head-out water immersion, 4 h of thermal dehydration followed by 2 h of chair rest, and 6 h of rest in the supine position. Four hours of heat exposure (50 degrees C) resulted in a body weight loss of approximately 3.5%. Plasma osmolality rose by approximately 5 mosmol/kg, mean arterial pressure (MAP) decreased from 85 to 78 mmHg, and body temperature increased from 36.8 to 38.6 degrees C. As a consequence of the combined action of hypertonicity, hypovolemia, hypotension, and hyperthermia, plasma arginine vasopressin (AVP) increased from 2.1 to 8.1 pg/ml after 4 h thermal dehydration. Changes in body weight, plasma osmolality, body temperature, and MAP were similar after either a subsequent 2 h of water immersion or 2 h of chair rest. However, during chair rest plasma AVP remained elevated (8.4 pg/ml), whereas during immersion plasma AVP decreased from 8.1 to 4.7 pg/ml. This was probably due to the central hypervolemia induced by immersion. Our results support the hypothesis that central hypervolemia rather than hypotonicity is the primary stimulus for AVP suppression during water immersion in dehydrated subjects. During the early immersion period hypoosmolality might contribute to the AVP suppression.  相似文献

A 32-year-old man was diagnosed as having pseudo-Bartter syndrome due to surreptitious habitual vomiting and to maldigestion related to decayed teeth. His chief complaints were muscle pain and weakness. In this case, metabolic alkalosis, hypokalemia, hypochloremia, increased plasma renin activity and aldosterone levels were noticed with marked decreases in urinary chloride excretion. Creatinine clearance (GFR) and renal plasma flow (RPF) were also decreased. Blood pressure was normal, but the pressor response to angiotensin II was attenuated. Before treatment with 0.9% saline infusion, plasma vasopressin (AVP) was not suppressed sufficiently by lowering the plasma osmolality (Posm) with an oral water load (WL), but it normally responded to a rise in Posm due to hypertonic saline infusion. Moreover, plasma AVP was normally suppressed by WL after the replenishment of saline. Plasma atrial natriuretic peptide (ANP) was low before WL, but increased normally in response to WL. However, inconsistent with the normal response in this case, decreases in plasma AVP failed to dilute urinary osmolality and to increase urine flow, irrespective of the levels of plasma ANP. These results indicate that chronic inanition due to surreptitious vomiting causes impaired renal diluting ability through decreases in GFR and RPF, irrespective of the levels of plasma AVP and ANP.  相似文献

In adults, hyperosmolality stimulates central osmoreceptors, resulting in arginine vasopressin (AVP) secretion. Near-term fetal sheep have also developed mechanisms to respond to intravascular hypertonicity with stimulation of in utero AVP release. However, prior studies demonstrating fetal AVP secretion have utilized plasma tonicity changes greater than those required for adult osmotically induced AVP stimulation. We sought to examine near-term fetal plasma osmolality threshold and sensitivity for stimulation of AVP secretion and to correlate plasma hormone levels with central neuronal responsiveness. Chronically instrumented ovine fetuses (130 +/- 2 days) and maternal ewes simultaneously received either isotonic or hypertonic intravascular NaCl infusions. Maternal and fetal plasma AVP and angiotensin II (ANG II) levels were examined at progressively increasing levels of plasma hypertonicity. Intravenous hypertonic NaCl gradually elevated plasma osmolality and sodium levels. Both maternal and fetal plasma AVP increased during hypertonicity, whereas ANG II levels were not changed. Maternal AVP levels significantly increased with a 3% increase in plasma osmolality, whereas fetal plasma AVP significantly increased only at higher plasma osmolality levels (over 6%). Thus the slope of the regression of AVP vs. osmolality was greater for ewes than for fetuses (0.232 vs. 0.064), despite similar maternal and fetal plasma osmolality thresholds for AVP secretion (302 vs. 304 mosmol/kg). Hyperosmolality induced Fos immunoreactivity (FOS-ir) in the circumventricular organs of the fetal brain. FOS-ir was also demonstrated in the fetal supraoptic and paraventricular nuclei (SON and PVN), and double labeling demonstrated that AVP-containing neurons in the SON and PVN expressed Fos in response to intravenous NaCl. These results demonstrate that, in the ovine fetus at 130 days of gestation, neuroendocrine responses to cellular dehydration are functional, although they evidence a relatively reduced sensitivity for AVP secretion compared with the adult.  相似文献

A patient with recurrent weakness and blurring of consciousness associated with hyperkalaemia due to aldosterone deficiency is reported. The plasma concentrations of renin, angiotensin II, and aldosterone were low and did not increase during sodium deprivation. Blood angiotensin I was also low while renin-substrate concentration was normal. Infusion of angiotensin produced a distinct rise in plasma aldosterone. The patient was treated successfully with fludrocortisol. The results support the concept that the renin-angiotensin system is an important regulator of aldosterone secretion and that in the syndrome of acquired selective hypoaldosteronism the primary abnormality may be a deficiency of renin. It is suggested that a selective lack of aldosterone should be considered in all cases of otherwise unexplained hyperkalaemia.  相似文献

Urine production is reduced at night, allowing undisturbed sleep. This study was undertaken to show the effect of sleep deprivation (SD) on urine production in healthy children. Special focus was on gender and children at an age where enuresis is still prominent. Twenty healthy children (10 girls) underwent two 24-h studies, randomly assigned to either sleep or SD on the first study night. Diet and fluid intake were standardized. Blood samples were drawn every 4 h during daytime and every 2 h at night. Urine was fractionally collected. Blood pressure and heart rate were noninvasively monitored. Blood was analyzed for plasma antidiuretic hormone (AVP), atrial natriuretic peptide (ANP), angiotensin II, aldosterone, and renin. Urine was analyzed for aquaporin-2 and PGE(2). Successful SD was achieved in all participants with a minimum of 4 h 50 min, and full-night SD was obtained in 50% of the participants. During SD, both boys and girls produced markedly larger amounts of urine than during normal sleep (477 ± 145 vs. 291 ± 86 ml, P < 0.01). SD increased urinary excretion of sodium (0.17 ± 0.05 vs. 0.10 ± 0.03 mmol·kg(-1)·h(-1)) whereas solute-free water reabsorption remained unchanged. SD induced a significant fall in nighttime plasma AVP (P < 0.01), renin (P < 0.05), angiotensin II (P < 0.001), and aldosterone (P < 0.05) whereas plasma ANP levels remained uninfluenced (P = 0.807). Nighttime blood pressure and heart rate were significantly higher during SD (mean arterial pressure: 78.5 ± 8.0 vs. 74.7 ± 8.7 mmHg, P < 0.001). SD leads to natriuresis and excess diuresis in healthy children. The underlying mechanism could be a reduced nighttime dip in blood pressure and a decrease in renin-angiotensin-aldosterone system levels during sleep deprivation.  相似文献

Under dehydrating conditions, many terrestrial vertebrates species exhibit increases in plasma osmolality and their drinking behavior. Under some circumstances, this behavioral change is accompanied by changes in plasma and central angiotensin concentrations, and it has been proposed that these changes in angiotensin levels induce the thirst-related behaviors. In response to dehydration, the spadefoot toad, Scaphiopus couchii, exhibits thirst-related behavior in the form of cutaneous drinking. This behavior has been termed water absorption response (WR) behavior. Spadefoot toads live in harsh desert environments and are subject annually to dehydrating conditions that may induce thirst-related behavior. We tested the hypothesis that an increase in WR behavior is associated with both an increase in plasma osmolality and an increase in plasma and brain angiotensin concentrations. First, we determined the degree of dehydration that was necessary to initiate WR behavior. Animals dehydrated to 85% of their standard bladder-empty weight via deprivation of water exhibited WR behavior more frequently than control toads left in home containers with water available. Next, using the same dehydration methods, we determined the plasma osmolality and sodium concentrations of dehydrated toads. Toads dehydrated to 85% standard weight also had a significant increase in plasma osmolality, but exhibited no overall change in plasma sodium concentrations, indicating that while an overall increase in plasma osmolality appears to be associated with WR behavior in S. couchii, changes in sodium concentrations alone are not sufficient to induce the behavior. Finally, plasma and brain angiotensin concentrations were measured in control toads and toads dehydrated to 85% standard weight. Plasma and brain angiotensin concentrations did not increase in dehydrated toads, indicating that dehydration-induced WR behavior that is associated with changes in plasma osmolality may not be induced by changes in endogenous angiotensin concentrations in S. couchii.  相似文献

The thermal dehydration test was performed in 12 patients with renal transplant and in 20 healthy subjects. The study was aimed at the evaluation of the effect of volume regulating hormones on electrolyte composition of thermal sweat in patients with renal transplant. Blood plasma renin activity (PRA) as well as plasma concentrations of aldosterone (ALD), vasopressin (AVP) and atrial natriuretic peptide (ANP) were determined before and after thermal dehydration in all the subjects studied. In all the subjects sweat was also collected after 15 and 45 minutes of exposition to heat and the concentrations of sodium, potassium and chloride were determined in all sweat samples. Significantly elevated PRA and ANP concentrations and significantly lowered plasma AVP concentrations but normal ALD levels were found before thermal dehydration test in all the patients with renal transplant. After the exposition to heat lasting 1 hour the direction of changes was similar, their magnitude was, however, different in renal transplant patients than in healthy subjects. In addition, lower concentrations of sodium and chloride in thermal sweat and lower total concentration of sweat solids were found in renal transplant patients than in healthy controls. No significant correlation was found between the plasma concentrations of the hormones determined and the electrolyte concentrations of thermal sweat both in the renal transplant patients and in healthy subjects. The results suggest that the volume regulating hormones have no effect on the electrolyte composition of thermal sweat induced by short exposition to heat both in renal transplant patients and in healthy subjects.  相似文献
