Two new abietane diterpenoids, (3S,5R,10S)‐3‐hydroxy‐12‐O‐demethyl‐11‐deoxy‐19(4→3)‐abeo‐cryptojaponol, 12,19‐dihydroxyabieta‐8,11,13‐trien‐7‐one, were isolated from Selaginella moellendorffii Hieron., together with one known abietane diterpenoid and four known tetracyclic triterpenoids. Their structures were characterized by their 1D‐ and 2D‐NMR, ECD and mass spectral studies. All compounds were tested for their inhibitory effects on proliferation of three human cancer cells (human non‐small‐cell lung carcinoma cell lines A549 and human breast adenocarcinoma cell lines MDA‐MB‐231 and MCF‐7) in vitro. Among them, three compounds displayed modest cytotoxic activities against the above three human cancer cell lines with IC50 values ranging from 16.28 to 40.67 μM.  相似文献

Phthalides and their precursors have demonstrated a large variety of biological activities. Eighteen phthalides were synthesized and tested on the stored grain pest Rhyzopertha dominica. In the screening bioassay, compounds rac‐(2R,2aS,4R,4aS,6aR,6bS,7R)‐7‐bromohexahydro‐2,4‐methano‐1,6‐dioxacyclopenta[cd]pentalen‐5(2H)‐one ( 15 ) and rac‐(3R,3aR,4R,7S,7aS)‐3‐(propan‐2‐yloxy)hexahydro‐4,7‐methano‐2‐benzofuran‐1(3H)‐one ( 17 ) showed mortality similar to the commercial insecticide, Bifenthrin® (≥90 %). The time (LT50) and dose (LD50) necessary to kill 50 % of the R. dominica population were determined for the most efficacious phthalides 15 and 17 . Compound 15 presented the lowest LD50 (1.97 μg g?1), being four times more toxic than Bifenthrin® (LD50=9.11 μg g?1). Both compounds presented an LT50 value equal to 24 h. When applied at a sublethal dose, both phthalides (especially compound 15 ), reduced the emergence of the first progeny of R. dominica. These findings highlight the potential of phthalides 15 and 17 as precursors for the development of insecticides for R. dominica control.  相似文献

Phaeanthus vietnamensis Bân is a well‐known medicinal plant which has been used for the treatment of various inflammatory diseases in traditional medicine. Using various chromatographic methods, three new compounds, (7S,8R,8′R)‐9,9′‐epoxy‐3,5,3′,5′‐tetramethoxylignan‐4,4′,7‐triol ( 1 ), 8α‐hydroxyoplop‐11(12)‐en‐14‐one ( 5 ), and (1R,2S,4S)‐4‐acetyl‐2‐[(E)‐(cinnamoyloxy)]‐1‐methylcyclohexan‐1‐ol ( 12 ) along with twelve known compounds were isolated from the leaves of Pvietnamensis. Their chemical structures were elucidated by physical and chemical methods. All compounds were evaluated for the inhibitory activities of nitric oxide production in LPS‐stimulated BV2 cells. As the results, compound 6 showed the most potent inhibitory activity on LPS‐stimulated NO production in BV2 cells with the IC50 values of 15.7 ± 1.2 μm . Compounds 2 , 7 , and 8 significantly inhibited inflammatory NO production with IC50 values ranging from 22.6 to 25.3 μm .  相似文献

Two new benzopyran derivatives, (2R,4S)‐5‐methoxy‐2‐methyl‐3,4‐dihydro‐2H‐1‐benzopyran‐4‐ol and (2S,4R,2′S,4′R)‐4,4′‐oxybis(5‐methoxy‐2‐methyl‐3,4‐dihydro‐2H‐1‐benzopyran), and a new aliphatic compound, (3E,5Z,8S,10E)‐8‐hydroxytrideca‐3,5,10,12‐tetraen‐2‐one, together with three known benzopyran derivatives, were obtained from a mangrove endophytic fungus Penicillium citrinum QJF‐22 collected in Hainan island. Their structures were determined by analysis of spectroscopic data and the relative configuration of (2R,4S)‐5‐methoxy‐2‐methyl‐3,4‐dihydro‐2H‐1‐benzopyran‐4‐ol was also confirmed by single‐crystal X‐ray diffraction. The absolute configurations of four compounds were established by comparison of ECD spectra to calculations. The configuration of (3E,5Z,8S,10E)‐8‐hydroxytrideca‐3,5,10,12‐tetraen‐2‐one was confirmed by comparison of optical value to the similar compound. The configurations of the compounds (2S,4S)‐5‐methoxy‐2‐methyl‐3,4‐dihydro‐2H‐1‐benzopyran‐4‐ol and (2R,4R)‐5‐methoxy‐2‐methyl‐3,4‐dihydro‐2H‐1‐benzopyran‐4‐ol were first determined. (3R,4S)‐3,4,8‐Trihydroxy‐3,4‐dihydronaphthalen‐1(2H)‐one exhibited moderate inhibitory effects on LPS‐induced NO production in RAW264.7 cells with IC50 of 44.7 μM, and without cytotoxicity to RAW264.7 cells within 50 μM.  相似文献

Four new tirucallane triterpenoids, (21S,23R,24R)‐21,23‐epoxy‐21,24‐dihydroxy‐25‐methoxytirucall‐7‐en‐3‐one ( 2 ), (3S,21S,23R,24S)‐21,23‐epoxy‐21,25‐dimethoxytirucall‐7‐ene‐3,24‐diol ( 8 ), (21S,23R,24R)‐21,23‐epoxy‐24‐hydroxy‐21‐methoxytirucalla‐7,25‐dien‐3‐one ( 11 ), and (21S,23R,24R)‐21,23‐epoxy‐21,24‐dihydroxytirucalla‐7,25‐dien‐3‐one ( 12 ), along with 16 known analogues, 1 , 3  –  7 , 9  –  10 , and 13  –  20 , were isolated from the fruits of Melia azedarach. Their structures were elucidated by spectroscopic methods including 1D‐ and 2D‐NMR techniques and mass spectrometry. These compounds were evaluated for their cytotoxicities against HepG2 (liver), SGC7901 (stomach), K562 (leukemia), and HL60 (leukemia) cancer cell lines. Compound 20 exhibited potent cytotoxicity against HepG2 and SGC7901 cancer cells with the IC50 values of 6.9 and 6.9 μm , respectively.  相似文献

The 2‐[2‐(2‐phenylethenyl)cyclopent‐3‐en‐1‐yl]‐1,3‐benzothiazoles were synthesized from the reactions of 7‐benzylidenebicyclo[3.2.0]hept‐2‐en‐6‐ones with 2‐aminobenzenethiol. The antiproliferative activities of 2‐[2‐(2‐phenylethenyl)cyclopent‐3‐en‐1‐yl]‐1,3‐benzothiazoles were determined against C6 (rat brain tumor) and HeLa (human cervical carcinoma cells) cell lines using BrdU cell proliferation ELISA assay. Cisplatin and 5‐fluorouracil (5‐FU) were used as standards. The most active compound was 2‐{(1S,2S)‐2‐[(E)‐2‐(4‐methylphenyl)ethenyl]cyclopent‐3‐en‐1‐yl}‐1,3‐benzothiazole against C6 cell lines with IC50=5.89 μm value (cisplatin, IC50=14.46 μm and 5‐FU, IC50=76.74 μm ). Furthermore, the most active compound was 2‐{(1S,2S)‐2‐[(E)‐2‐(2‐methoxyphenyl)ethenyl]cyclopent‐3‐en‐1‐yl}‐1,3‐benzothiazole against HeLa cell lines with IC50=3.98 μm (cisplatin, IC50=37.95 μm and 5‐FU, IC50=46.32 μm ). Additionally, computational studies of related molecules were performed by using B3LYP/6‐31G+(d,p) level in the gas phase. Experimental IR and NMR data were compared with the calculated results and were found to be compatible with each other. Molecular electrostatic potential (MEP) maps of the most active 2‐{(1S,2S)‐2‐[(E)‐2‐(2‐methoxyphenyl)ethenyl]cyclopent‐3‐en‐1‐yl}‐1,3‐benzothiazole against HeLa and the most active 2‐{(1S,2S)‐2‐[(E)‐2‐(4‐methylphenyl)ethenyl]cyclopent‐3‐en‐1‐yl}‐1,3‐benzothiazole against C6 were investigated, aiming to determine the region that the molecule is biologically active. Biological activities of mentioned molecules were investigated with molecular docking analyses. The appropriate target protein (PDB codes: 1 M17 for the HeLa cells and 1JQH for the C6 cells) was used for 2‐{(1S,2S)‐2‐[(E)‐2‐(2‐methoxyphenyl)ethenyl]cyclopent‐3‐en‐1‐yl}‐1,3‐benzothiazole and 2‐{(1S,2S)‐2‐[(E)‐2‐(4‐methylphenyl)ethenyl]cyclopent‐3‐en‐1‐yl}‐1,3‐benzothiazole molecules exhibiting the highest biological activity against HeLa and C6 cells in the docking studies. As a result, it was determined that these molecules are the best candidates for the anticancer drug.  相似文献

Two new sterols 1 and 2 and five known ones 3 – 7 were isolated for the first time from the fruiting bodies of Cortinarius glaucopus. Their structures were established by 1‐ and 2D‐NMR spectra and HR‐FABS‐MS. The relative configuration of 1 was firmly determined by comparison of the observed 1H–1H couplings and NOESY correlations, with those predicted for the computed geometries of the conformers. Calculations were performed by means of DFT with the B3LYP functional at 6‐31 + G(d,p) level of theory, in CHCl3 as the solvent. The structures of the new ergosterol derivatives, called glaucoposterol A ( 1 ) and B ( 2 ), were thus established as (3S,5R,7R,10R,13R,17R,20S,22R,23R,24R)‐5,6‐epoxy‐3,7,23‐trihydroxystrophast‐8‐en‐14‐one and (22E,3S,5S,9S,10R,13R,17R,20R,24R)‐3,5‐dihydroxyergosta‐6,8(14),22‐trien‐15‐one, respectively. Moreover, the configuration of known strophasterol C ( 3 ) was determined as (3S,5R,6S,7R,10R,13R,17R,20S,22S,24R). Glaucoposterol A ( 1 ) and strophasterol C ( 3 ) represent the second finding in nature of steroids with the rare strophastane skeleton.  相似文献

Three new tirucallane triterpenoids, brumollisols A–C ( 1 – 3 , resp.), together with five known analogues, (23R,24S)‐23,24,25‐trihydroxytirucall‐7‐ene‐3,6‐dione ( 4 ), piscidinol A ( 5 ), 24‐epipiscidinol A ( 6 ), 21α‐methylmelianodiol ( 7 ), and 21β‐methylmelianodiol ( 8 ), were isolated from an EtOH extract of the stems of Brucea mollis. Their structures were elucidated by means of spectroscopic methods including 1D‐ and 2D‐NMR techniques and mass spectrometry. In the in vitro assays, compound 6 exhibited significant cytotoxic activity against A549 and BGC‐823 cancer cells with IC50 values of 1.16 and 3.01 μM , respectively. At a concentration of 10 μM , compounds 1 – 5, 7 , and 8 were found to inhibit NO production in mouse peritoneal macrophages with inhibitory ratios ranging from 39.8±7.7 to 68.2±4.5%.  相似文献

Four previously unreported chromones, 5‐hydroxy‐2‐(hydroxymethyl)‐8‐methoxy‐4H‐chromen‐4‐one ( 1 ), (5R,7S)‐5,7‐dihydroxy‐2‐propyl‐5,6,7,8‐tetrahydro‐4H‐chromen‐4‐one ( 2 ), (5R,7S)‐5,7‐dihydroxy‐2‐methyl‐5,6,7,8‐tetrahydro‐4H‐chromen‐4‐one ( 3 ), and (5R,7S)‐5,7‐dihydroxy‐2‐[(E)‐prop‐1‐en‐1‐yl]‐5,6,7,8‐tetrahydro‐4H‐chromen‐4‐one ( 4 ), as well as one known analogue 5‐hydroxy‐2‐methyl‐4H‐chromen‐4‐one ( 5 ) were isolated from the fermentation broth of the endophytic fungus Colletotrichum gloeosporioides derived from the mangrove Ceriops tagal. Their structures were elucidated based on extensive spectroscopic analyses. The absolute configurations of 2 – 4 were determined by comparison the experimental and calculated electronic circular dichroism (ECD) spectra. A new sesquiterpenoid, 1 , and three new diterpenoids, 3 – 5 , along with five known compounds, 2 and 6 – 9 , were isolated from rhizomes of Alpinia japonica. The structures of the new compounds were determined as (1R,4R,6S,7S,9S)‐4α‐hydroxy‐1,9‐peroxybisabola‐2,10‐diene ( 1 ), methyl (12E)‐16‐oxolabda‐8(17),12‐dien‐15‐oate ( 3 ), (12R)‐15‐ethoxy‐12‐hydroxylabda‐8(17),13(14)‐dien‐16,15‐olide ( 4 ), and methyl (11E)‐14,15,16‐trinorlabda‐8(17),11‐dien‐13‐oate ( 5 ) by means of spectroscopic data. The absolute configurations at C(4) in 1 and C(12) in 4 were deduced from the circular dichroism (CD) data of the in situ‐formed [Rh2(CF3COO)4] complexes. Inhibitory effects of the isolates on NO production in lipopolysaccharide‐induced RAW264.7 macrophages were evaluated, and 2 – 4, 6 , and 7 were found to exhibit inhibitory activities with IC50 values between 14.6 and 34.3 μM .  相似文献

The presystemic sulfate conjugation of the stereoisomers of 4′‐methoxyfenoterol, (R,R′)‐MF, (S,S′)‐MF, (R,S′)‐MF, and (S,R′)‐MF, was investigated using commercially available human intestinal S9 fractions, a mixture of sulfotransferase (SULT) enzymes. The results indicate that the sulfation was stereospecific and that an S‐configuration at the β‐OH carbon of the MF molecule enhanced the maximal formation rates with (S,R′)‐MF (S,S′)‐MF (R,S′)‐MF ≈ (R,R′)‐MF, and competition studies demonstrated that (S,R′)‐MF is an effective inhibitor of (R,R′)‐MF sulfation (IC50 = 60 μM). In addition, the results from a cDNA‐expressed human SULT isoform screen indicated that SULT1A1, SULT1A3, and SULT1E1 can mediate the sulfation of all four MF stereoisomers. Previously published molecular models of SULT1A3 and SULT1A1 were used in docking simulations of the MF stereoisomers using Molegro Virtual Docker. The models of the MF‐SULT1A3 and MF‐SULT1A1 complexes indicate that each of the two chiral centers of MF molecule plays a role in the observed relative stabilities. The observed stereoselectivity is the result of multiple hydrogen bonding interactions and induced conformational changes within the substrate–enzyme complex. In conclusion, the results suggest that a formulation developed from a mixture of (R,R′)‐MF and (S,R′)‐MF may increase the oral bioavailability of (R,R′)‐MF. Three new iridoids named as pediverticilatasin A – C ( 1 – 3 , resp.), together with five known iridoids ( 4 – 8 , resp.) were isolated from the whole plants of Pedicularis verticillata. The structures of three new compounds were identified as (1S,7R)‐1‐ethoxy‐1,5,6,7‐tetrahydro‐7‐hydroxy‐7‐methylcyclopenta[c]pyran‐4(3H)‐one ( 1 ), (1S,4aS,7R,7aS)‐1‐ethoxy‐1,4a,5,6,7,7a‐hexahydro‐7‐hydroxy‐7‐methylcyclopenta[c]pyran‐4‐carboxylic acid ( 2 ), (1S,4aS,7R,7aS)‐1‐ethoxy‐1,4a,5,6,7,7a‐hexahydro‐7‐hydroxy‐7‐methylcyclopenta[c]pyran‐4‐carbaldehyde ( 3 ). Their structures were elucidated on the basis of spectroscopic methods and compared with the NMR spectra data in the literature. All compounds were evaluated for their anti‐complementary activity on the classical pathway of the complement system in vitro. Among which, compounds 1 , 3 , and 6 exhibited anti‐complementary effects with CH50 values ranging from 0.43 to 1.72 mm , which are plausible candidates for developing potent anti‐complementary agents.  相似文献

Three new iridoids, rel‐(4aR,7S,7aS)‐7‐hydroxy‐7‐methyl‐1,4a,5,6,7,7a‐hexahydrocyclopenta[c]pyran‐4‐carbaldehyde ( 1 ), 1‐methoxy‐7‐methyl‐1,3,5,6‐tetrahydrocyclopenta[c]pyran‐4‐carbaldehyde ( 2 ), and rel‐(1R,4S,4aS,7R,7aR)‐7‐methylhexahydro‐1,4‐(epoxymethano)cyclopenta[c]pyran‐3(1H)‐one ( 3 ), together with seven known analogues, were isolated from the 95 % EtOH extract of the whole plants of Pedicularis uliginosa Bunge . Their structures were elucidated via extensive NMR spectroscopy and mass spectral data. In terms of inhibitory effects on human tumor cells, compounds 1 , 2 , 6 , 7 , and 8 exhibited better inhibitory activities against ACHN cells than the positive control (vinblastine).  相似文献

A small series of 1‐acetyl‐2‐(4‐alkoxy‐3‐methoxyphenyl)cyclopropanes was prepared, starting from dehydrozingerone (4‐(4‐hydroxy‐3‐methoxyphenyl)‐3‐buten‐2‐one) and its O‐alkyl derivatives. Their microbiological activities toward some strains of bacteria and fungi were tested, as well as their in vitro cytotoxic activity against some cancer cell lines (HeLa, LS174 and A549). All synthesized compounds showed significant antimicrobial activity and expressed cytotoxic activity against tested carcinoma cell lines, but they showed no significant influence on normal cell line (MRC5). Butyl derivative is the most active on HeLa cells (IC50 = 8.63 μm ), while benzyl one is active against LS174 and A549 cell lines (IC50 = 10.17 and 12.15 μm , respectively).  相似文献

Bioassay‐guided fractionation of the active AcOEt‐soluble layer led to the isolation of two new pyranocoumarins, 3‐hydroxyxanthyletin ( 1 ) and 3‐methoxyxanthyletin ( 2 ), along with 22 known compounds including four simple coumarins, i.e., xanthyletin ( 3 ), umbelliferone ( 4 ), scopoletin ( 5 ), and (+)‐(S)‐marmesin ( 6 ); nine flavonoids, i.e., carpachromene ( 7 ), parvisoflavone B ( 8 ), alpinumisoflavone ( 9 ) genistein ( 10 ), 2′‐hydroxygenistein ( 11 ), prunetin ( 12 ), cajanin ( 13 ), apigenin ( 14 ), and (2S)‐naringenin ( 15 ); three benzenoids, i.e., 4‐hydroxybenzaldehyde ( 16 ), vanillin ( 17 ), and (S)‐lasiodiplodin ( 18 ); five steroids, i.e., ergosterol peroxide ( 19 ), a mixture of 6β‐hydroxystigmast‐4‐en‐3‐one ( 20 ) and 6β‐hydroxystigmasta‐4,22‐dien‐3‐one ( 21 ), and a mixture of β‐sitosterol ( 22 ) and stigmasterol ( 23 ); and one triterpenoid, i.e., oleanolic acid ( 24 ) from the roots of Ficus nervosa. Their structures were elucidated on the basis of extensive 1D‐ and 2D‐NMR as well as MS analyses. Among these isolates, 3‐hydroxyxanthyletin ( 1 ), genistein ( 10 ), prunetin ( 12 ), and (2S)‐naringenin ( 15 ) showed antimycobacterial activities against Mycobacterium tuberculosis H37RV in vitro with MIC values of 16, 35, 30, and ≤2.8 μg/ml, respectively.  相似文献

Paclobutrazol, with two stereogenic centers, but gives only (2R, 3R) and (2S, 3S)‐enantiomers because of steric‐hindrance effects, is an important plant growth regulator in agriculture and horticulture. Enantioselective degradation of paclobutrazol was investigated in rat liver microsomes in vitro. The degradation kinetics and the enantiomer fraction were determined using a Lux Cellulose‐1 chiral column on a reverse‐phase liquid chromatography–tandem mass spectrometry system. The t1/2 of (2R, 3R)‐paclobutrazol is 18.60 min, while the t1/2 of (2S, 3S)‐paclobutrazol is 10.93 min. Such consequences clearly indicated that the degradation of paclobutrazol in rat liver microsomes was stereoselective and the degradation rate of (2S, 3S)‐paclobutrazol was much faster than (2R, 3R)‐paclobutrazol. In addition, significant differences between the two enantiomers were also observed in enzyme kinetic parameters. The Vmax of (2S, 3S)‐paclobutrazol was more than 2‐fold of (2R, 3R)‐paclobutrazol and the Clint of (2S, 3S)‐paclobutrazol was higher than that of (2R, 3R)‐paclobutrazol after incubation in rat liver microsomes. In order to find novel antitumor candidate agents with high efficiency and low toxicity, 14 novel substituted 5‐anilino‐α‐glucofuranose derivatives have been designed, synthesized and evaluated for antiproliferative activities in vitro. Their structures were characterized by NMR (1H and 13C) and HR‐MS, and configuration (R/S) at C(5) was identified by two‐dimensional 1H,1H‐NOESY‐NMR spectrum. Their antiproliferative activities against human tumor cells were investigated by MTT assay. The results demonstrated that most of the synthesized compounds had antiproliferative effects comparable to the reference drugs gefitinib and lapatinib. In particular, (5R)‐5‐O‐(3‐chloro‐4‐{[5‐(4‐fluorophenyl)thiophen‐2‐yl]methyl}anilino)‐5‐deoxy‐1,2‐O‐(1‐methylethylidene)‐α‐glucofuranose ( 9da ) showed the most potent antiproliferative effects against SW480, A431 and A549 cells, with IC50 values of 8.57, 5.15 and 15.24 μm , respectively. This work suggested 5‐anilino‐α‐glucofuranose as an antitumor core structure that may open a new way to develop more potent anti‐cancer agents.  相似文献

A series of camphecene and quinolizidine alkaloid (?)‐cytisine conjugates has been obtained for the first time using ‘click’ chemistry methodology. The cytotoxicity and virus‐inhibiting activity of compounds were determined against MDCK cells and influenza virus A/Puerto Rico/8/34 (H1N1), correspondingly, in in vitro tests. Based on the results obtained, values of 50 % cytotoxic dose (CC50), 50 % inhibition dose (IC50) and selectivity index (SI) were determined for each compound. It has been shown that the antiviral activity is affected by the length and nature of linkers between cytisine and camphor units. Conjugate 13 ((1R,5S)‐3‐(6‐{4‐[(2‐{(E)‐[(1R,4R)‐1,7,7‐trimethylbicyclo[2.2.1]heptan‐2‐ylidene]amino}ethoxy)methyl]‐1H‐1,2,3‐triazol‐1‐yl}hexyl)‐1,2,3,4,5,6‐hexahydro‐8H‐1,5‐methanopyrido[1,2‐a][1,5]diazocin‐8‐one), which contains cytisine fragment separated from triazole ring by –C6H12– aliphatic linker, showed the highest activity at relatively low toxicity (CC50=168 μmol, IC50=8 μmol, SI=20). Its selectivity index appeared higher than that of reference compound, rimantadine. According to theoretical calculations, the antiviral activity of the lead compound 13 can be explained by its influence on the functioning of neuraminidase.  相似文献

Coicis semen (=the hulled seed of Coix lacryma‐jobi L. var. ma‐yuen (Rom.Caill. ) Stapf ; Gramineae), commonly known as adlay and Job's tears, is widely used in traditional medicine and as a nutritious food. Bioassay‐guided fractionation of the AcOEt fraction of unhulled adlays, using measurement of nitric oxide (NO) production on lipopolysaccharide (LPS)‐stimulated RAW 264.7 macrophage cells, led to the isolation and identification of two new stereoisomers, (+)‐(7′S,8′R,7″S,8″R)‐guaiacylglycerol βO‐4′‐dihydrodisinapyl ether ( 1 ) and (+)‐(7′S,8′R,7″R,8″R)‐guaiacylglycerol βO‐4′‐dihydrodisinapyl ether ( 2 ), together with six known compounds, 3 – 8 . Compounds 3 and 4 exhibited inhibitory activities on LPS‐induced NO production with IC50 values of 1.4 and 3.7 μM , respectively, and suppressed inducible nitric oxide synthase (iNOS) and cyclooxygenase‐2 (COX‐2) protein expressions in RAW 264.7 macrophage cells. Simple high‐performance liquid chromatography with ultraviolet detection (HPLC/UV) was used to compare the AcOEt fraction of unhulled adlays responsible for the anti‐inflammatory activity in RAW 264.7 cells and the inactive AcOEt fraction of hulled adlays.  相似文献

Three new macrocyclic diterpenoids, euphoscopoids A – C ( 1 – 3 ), including two new jatrophanes and a new lathyrane, were isolated from the whole plant of Euphorbia helioscopia. Their structures were elucidated by spectroscopic methods. Antifeedant and cytotoxic activities of these isolates were evaluated. All compounds showed significant antifeedant activity against a generalist plant‐feeding insect, Helicoverpa armigera, with EC50 values ranging from 2.05 to 4.34 μg/cm2. In addition, compound 2 showed moderate cytotoxicity against tumor cell lines NCI‐H1975, HepG2, and MCF‐2, while compounds 1 and 3 were not active at 80 μm . The results suggested not only the defensive function of macrocyclic diterpenoids in E. helioscopia against insect herbivores, but also their potential applications as new natural insect antifeedants.  相似文献
