Seasonal courses of leaf CO2 gas exchange in a growing season were examined in saplings ofThujopsis dolabrata var.hondai andQuercus mongolica var.grosseserrata in a cool temperate deciduous forest. Between the two tree species there were no large differences in the light compensation point of leaf photosynthesis, except for the season of new leaf expansion. However, light-saturated rates of net photosynthesis were obviously high inT. dolabrata var.hondai. EvergreenT. dolabrata var.hondai saplings had large photosynthetic production in two seasons, before the emergence of new foliage and after foliage fall of the overstory deciduous trees, because of the significantly high solar radiant energy penetrating under the forest canopy during the seasons. Saplings of deciduousQ. mongolica var.grosseserrata were heavily shaded throughout the growing season by foliage of the overstory trees, which resulted in a low daily surplus production. The annual surplus production of leaves in the growing season was estimated to be 2300 mmol CO2 m−2 inT. dolabrata var.hondai and −100 mmol CO2 m−2, slightly negative, inQ. mongolica var.grosseserrata. These results supported the high survivability ofT. dolabrata var.hondai saplings and the high mortality ofQ. mongolica var.grosseserrata in the deciduous forest.  相似文献

薜荔和爱玉子均属于桑科榕属植物,二者为同一物种的原变种与变种的关系,早期研究认为这两种榕树与同一种传粉榕小蜂(Wiebesia pumilae (Hill))建立了稳定的互利共生关系,但近期在形态学、生态学、传粉生物学等方面对二者的研究结果表明,薜荔传粉小蜂和爱玉子传粉小蜂之间可能发生了遗传分化。实验用核糖体28SrDNAD1-D3区、线粒体Cytb及COI基因部分序列,对采自福建3个不同样地的薜荔传粉小蜂和3个不同品系的栽培爱玉子的传粉小蜂进行分析,结果表明:(1)薜荔传粉小蜂和爱玉子传粉小蜂的核糖体28S序列的碱基组成中A,T,G,C 4种含量较平均,C+G的平均含量(56%)稍高于A+T的含量(44%)。线粒体Cytb序列中A+T的含量(76.1%)明显高于C+G的含量(23.9%),COI序列中A+T的含量(71.9%)也明显高于G+C的含量(28.1%),这是膜翅目昆虫线粒体基因的普遍特征。在薜荔和爱玉子传粉小蜂的线粒体Cytb及COI基因中,密码子第三位点A+T的含量最高。(2)比较薜荔和爱玉子传粉小蜂的3种分子标记的变异范围显示,28S进化速度较Cytb及COI序列慢,比较保守,更适合科、亚科等较高分类单元的研究。薜荔传粉小蜂与爱玉子传粉小蜂之间的亲缘关系较近,采用Cytb与COI序列进行分析更为精确。(3)用Cytb及COI序列对薜荔传粉小蜂与爱玉子传粉小蜂之间的遗传距离进行分析显示,薜荔传粉榕小蜂个体间Cytb序列平均遗传距离为0.0054,爱玉子传粉小蜂个体间的Cytb遗传距离为0.0164;薜荔传粉小蜂与爱玉子传粉小蜂群体之间的Cytb序列平均遗传距离为0.1385;COI序列的薜荔传粉榕小蜂个体间遗传距离为0.0048,爱玉子传粉小蜂各样本间平均遗传距离为0.0102;薜荔传粉小蜂与爱玉子传粉小蜂群体间COI序列平均遗传距离为0.1896,两群体间的遗传距离(差异大于10%以上)明显大于群体内各样本之间的遗传距离,表明薜荔传粉小蜂与爱玉子传粉小蜂之间已经发生了很大的遗传分化,其变异水平达到了种间分化水平,即薜荔传粉小蜂与爱玉子传粉小蜂为两个不同的种。  相似文献

The genetic diversity of the species, Potamogeton lucens subsp. sinicus var. teganumensis, which is critically endangered in Japan, was investigated. This species now occurs in only two known localities in Japan. One is a native population (Oitoike population), but the other (Teganuma-Okahotto population) is found in a small artificial pond that was dug in 1998. It is considered that the Teganuma-Okahotto population grew from a soil seed bank. Based on RAPD variation, we compared the genetic diversity of the two populations of P. lucens var. teganumensis in Japan and one population of P. lucens subsp. sinicus var. sinicus in China. The Teganuma-Okahotto population showed RAPD variation, suggesting that it may be derived from more than one seed buried in old sediments. This population also had the highest value of Shannon's Information Index among the three study populations. This finding suggests that seeds buried in sediments can contain genetic variability, and may be used to conserve the genetic diversity of rare and endangered plants.  相似文献

Bothriochloa laguroides var. laguroides (DC.) Herter, a native bluestem of America, has been shown to produce many biologically active compounds. The allelopathic potential of aqueous extracts from roots, stems and leaves was examined. Lettuce seeds (Lactuca sativa) and maize (Zea mays), the common allelopathy bioassay systems, as well as seeds from two native species, wintergreen paspalum (Paspalum guenoarum) and lovegrass (Eragrostis curvula), were germinated in the presence of aqueous extracts. Percent seed germination, root and shoot elongation were measured. After 4 and 7 days root, stem and leaf extracts caused inhibition of root and shoot elongation in all four species tested. Aqueous extracts were generally less inhibitory to seed germination. Aqueous extracts from different parts of B. laguroides var. laguroides show therefore allelopathic effects inhibiting, in particular, growth of competing plants.  相似文献

Taxus chinensis var. mairei (Lemée et Lévl) Cheng et L.K. Fu is an evergreen tall tree ubiquitous to the southeastern region in China. The first chemical study on this species was published in 1987. Since then about 163 compounds including taxoids and non-taxane compounds were isolated from seeds, root, bark and leaves of this species. This review summarized the chemical investigation on T. chinensis var. mairei (Lemée et Lévl) Cheng et L.K. Fu in the past 20 years. T. chinensis var. mairei (Lemée et Lévl) Cheng et L.K. Fu was assigned as a variation of T. chinensis (Pilger) Rehd. in Flora of China. However, present chemotaxonomic data would suggest that these two plants might belong to two different chemotypes; further genetic investigation and comprehensive chemical studies on them are warranted to address this issue.  相似文献

The chemical composition of essential oils isolated from the aerial parts by hydrodistillation of Turkish Tanacetum aucheranum and Tanacetum chiliophyllum var. chiliophyllum were analyzed by GC–MS. The oils contain similar major components. The major components of T. aucheranum oil were 1,8-cineole (23.8%), camphor (11.6%), terpinen-4-ol (7.2%), α-terpineol (6.5%), borneol (3.8%), (E)-thujone (3.2%), epi-α-cadinol (3.1%), and artemisia ketone (3.0%). Camphor (17.9%), 1,8-cineole (16.6%) and borneol (15.4%) were found to be predominant constituents in the oil of T. chiliophyllum. It is interesting to find that ester derivatives of dihydro-α-cyclogeranic acid (2,2,6-trimethylcyclohexylcarboxylate), dihydro-α-cyclogeranyl hexanoate (10.1%), dihydro-α-cyclogeranyl pentanoate (3.0%), dihydro-α-cyclogeranyl butanoate (2.1%) and dihydro-α-cyclogeranyl propionate (1.2%) are firstly found as chemotaxonomically important components in T. chiliophyllum oil. From these, dihydro-α-cyclogeranyl hexanoate was isolated on silica gel column chromatography and its structure was confirmed by spectroscopic methods. This is the first report on the occurrence of ester derivatives of dihydro-α-cyclogeranic acid in essential oils of Tanacetum species. The oils were also characterized to have relatively high amounts of oxygenated monoterpenes. Results of the antifungal testing by microbial growth inhibition assays showed that the oils completely inhibit the growth of 30 phytopathogenic fungi. However, their growth inhibition effects were lower than commercial benomyl. The oils tested for antibacterial activity against 33 bacterial strains showed a considerable antibacterial activity over a wide spectrum. Herbicidal effects of the oils on seed germination of Amaranthus retroflexus, Chenopodium album and Rumex crispus were also determined and the oils completely inhibited the seed germination and seedling growth of the plants.  相似文献

Taxus chinensis var. mairei (Taxaceae) is a domestic variety of yew species in local China. This plant is one of the sources for paclitaxel, which is a promising antineoplastic chemotherapy drugs during the last decade. We have sequenced the complete nucleotide sequence of the chloroplast (cp) genome of T. chinensis var. mairei. The T. chinensis var. mairei cp genome is 129,513 bp in length, with 113 single copy genes and two duplicated genes (trnI-CAU, trnQ-UUG). Among the 113 single copy genes, 9 are intron-containing. Compared to other land plant cp genomes, the T. chinensis var. mairei cp genome has lost one of the large inverted repeats (IRs) found in angiosperms, fern, liverwort, and gymnosperm such as Cycas revoluta and Ginkgo biloba L. Compared to related species, the gene order of T. chinensis var. mairei has a large inversion of ~ 110 kb including 91 genes (from rps18 to accD) with gene contents unarranged. Repeat analysis identified 48 direct and 2 inverted repeats 30 bp long or longer with a sequence identity greater than 90%. Repeated short segments were found in genes rps18, rps19 and clpP. Analysis also revealed 22 simple sequence repeat (SSR) loci and almost all are composed of A or T.  相似文献

The fruit-coat fats of Rhopalostylis sapida, R. baueri (Palmae), Elaeocarpus dentatus (Elaeocarpaceae) and Nestegis cunninghamii (Oleaceae) and the seed fats of E. dentatus and N. cunninghamii contain as their major fatty acids palmitic 11–35%, oleic 13–68%, and linoleic 16–31%. The seed fat of E. dentatus contains 10% hexadecenoic acid and the fruit-coat fat of N. cunninghamii 13% linolenic acid.  相似文献

Sabinene and hedycaryol were found to be the main components of the seed oil of Thujopsis dolabrata. Nine mono- and three sesquiterpenes were also isolated from the distilled, neutral oil. Hedycaryol rearranged to elemol during GLC at higher temperatures. The leaf terpenes in Thujopsis dolabrata from all regions in Japan were analyzed using GC and GC–MS. The results show that the major constituents of the diterpene hydrocarbon fraction in this conifer are dolabradiene, hibaene, rimuene, 13-epi-dolabradiene and abietatriene. There were wide variations in the contents of the constituents among individuals and habitats. The results also show that T. dolabrata trees from 34 habitats can be classified into three groups based on the composition of the leaf diterpene hydrocarbon.  相似文献

Four entomopathogenic bacteria contained extrachromosomal deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) molecules of various sizes. Bacillus thuringiensis var. kurstaki contained twelve elements banding on agarose gels that ranged from 0.74 to > 50 × 106 daltons, three of which were giant extrachromosomal DNA elements. B. thuringiensis var. sotto contained one giant extrachromosomal DNA element with a molecular size of about 23.5 × 106 daltons and two lesser elements of 0.80 and 0.62 × 106 daltons. B. thuringiensis var. finitimus harbored two giant DNA elements corresponding to >50 × 106 daltons and two lesser bands with relative small size (0.98 and 0.97 × 106 daltons). B. popilliae contained no giant extrachromosomal DNA elements but did contain two smaller elements corresponding to 4.45 and 0.58 × 106 daltons. The possible use of extrachromosomal DNA elements that prove to be autonomous replicons for recombinant DNA studies is discussed.  相似文献

Capparis ovata var. palaestina Zoh., C. spinosa var. aegyptia Boiss. and C. spinosa var. deserti Zoh., were investigated for glucosinolates. Glucoiberin, glucocapparin, sinigrin, glucocleomin, glucocapangulin, glucobrassicin and neoglucobrassicin, in addition to two others, were isolated. Four of these viz. glucoiberin, sinigrin, glucobrassicin and neoglucobrassicin were detected for the first time in Capparis species. The composition of the sterols, sterol esters and fatty acids has been determined in 8-, 11- and 14-day cultures of three members of the Xanthophyceae, Botrydium granulatum, Tribonema aequale and Monodus subterraneus. The main sterols, whether esterified or unesterified, were cholesterol and clionasterol, whose proportions do not vary with age of culture. Much smaller quantities of cycloartenol and 24-methylenecycloartanol were also found in all three algae. The C16 fatty acids are the most common fatty acids in all three algae with C16:1 being particularly abundant. B. granulatum and T. aequale, however, differ from M. subterraneus in having polyunsaturated C16 fatty acids and a smaller proportion of C20:5.  相似文献

Disanthus cercidifolius Maxim. var. longipes H. T. Chang, a plant species that only occurs in a few counties in Hunan, Jiangxi and Zhejiang Provinces and with a relatively small number of individuals, is ranked as a second Class endangered species for conservation in China. We have studied the effect of pollen and resources available to female reproduction, and the reproductive mechanism of “excess flowers with low fruit set” in Disanthus cercidifolius Maxim. var. longipes H. T. Chang was discussed. Results are as follows Pollen from different sources has significant effects on fruit set and seed set of Disanthus cercidifolius Maxim. var. longipes H. T. Chang. The pollen source rather than pollen numbers significantly affected reproduction of this species. In wild populations, producing one fruit needs about 54.8 flowers, and one satiation seed needs about 6.60 flowers or 83.19 ovules. After fertilizing, which was propitious to flower development, the abortion rate of flower buds was decreasing, but the flowering rate was increasing. The fruit set and seed set was also significantly increasing, while abortion rate of fruit was significantly decreasing. With the increasing percentages of cutting leaves, the fruit set decreased, but the abortion rate of fruit shows no significant differentiation among treatments. After cutting branches that were puny, broken and insectin-fested branches, the flower number seemed to be decreasing, but the fruit set and seed set all increased significantly. After removing some flowers, the fruit set was calculated with respect to the number of flowers remaining after the treatment increased with increasing of percentages of flower removal, whereas fruit set calculated with respect to the initial number of flowers remained constant, and the mean weights of per fruit and per seed all decreased significantly. Sufficient spatial or temporal heterogeneities in nutrient levels might allow limitation of seed set by resources and pollen in a natural population, while supplying resources may indirectly affect pollination by increasing attraction of the flowers to pollinators. There were very low fruit and seed sets in natural populations of Disanthus cercidifolius Maxim. var. longipes H. T. Chang. Different factors may have interacted to effect a low fruit set. A joint adoption of the “selection abortion hypothesis”, “ovary reserve hypothesis” and “male function hypothesis” seems to be the most likely explanation for the reproductive strategy of “excess flowers with few fruit sets” in Disanthus cercidifolius Maxim. var. longipes H. The water-soluble major polysaccharides from the seed of Coix lacryma-jobi var. ma-yuen eluted as a broad peak by gel filtration on Sepharose CL-2B. The mixture (CS-Glucan) was resolved into 7 glucans by HPLC on the column of Asahi-Pak GS-510 + GS-320. Similarities were observed between M, shown in the gel filtration profile and the elution volume in HPLC. Methylation analysis indicated that the ethanol-fractionated CS-glucan contained 4-O- and 4,6-di-O-substituted glucosyl residues. 1H and 13C NMR data accorded with the results of methylation analysis, and the glycosidic linkages were shown to have an α-configuration. Thus, CS-glucan contained (1 → 4) linked α-d-glucans to which are attached glucosyl side chains at O-6 of the main chain in a similar way to amylopectin. Each purified glucan was shown to have different absorption maxima ( > 550 nm or 530 nm) in the iodine reaction. The results of the methylation analysis and of the pullulanase digestion suggest that the 550 nm-glucan has a lower branching frequency and shorter side chains than the 530 nm-glucan. Although CS-glucan was found to have weak anti-complementary activity, HPLC-purified > 550 nm-glucan was found to be more potent than the 530 nm-glucan. Thus CS-glucan is highly heterogeneous, and the glucans which form a tight complex when tested with iodine, generally tend to have considerable anti-complementary activity.  相似文献

C-α and C-β, previously isolated from seed of Phaseolus coccineus, are shown respectively to be the bis-O-isopropylidene and the 16,17-mono-O-isopropylidene derivatives of ent-6α,7α,16β,17-tetrahydroxykauranoic acid. By GC-MS characterization of the products of acidic, basic and enzymatic hydrolysis, water soluble conjugates of the following compounds have been shown to occur in P. coccineus seed: GA8, GA17, GA20, GA28, ent-6α,7α,13-trihydroxykaurenoic acid, ent-6α,7α,17-trihydroxy-16β-kauranoic acid, ent-6α,7α,16β,17-tetrahydroxykauranoic acid, 7β,13-dihydroxykaurenolide and abscisic acid.  相似文献
