Kashin-Beck disease (KBD) is a chronic osteochondropathy. The genetic basis of KBD remains elusive now. To investigate the relationship between PPARGC1B gene polymorphism and KBD, we conducted a two-stage association study using 2743 unrelated Han Chinese subjects. In the first stage, three SNPs rs1078324, rs4705372, and rs11743128 of PPARGC1B gene were genotyped in 559 KBD patients and 467 health controls using Sequenom MassARRAY platform. In the second stage, the association analysis results of PPARGC1B with KBD were replicated using an independent sample of 1717 subjects. SNP association analysis was conducted by PLINK software. Genotype imputation was conducted by IMPUTE 2.0 against the reference panel of the 1000 genome project. Bonferroni multiple testing correction was performed. We observed a significant association signal at rs4705372 (P?=?0.0160) and a suggestive association signal at rs11743128 (P?=?0.0290). Further replication study confirmed the association signals of rs4705372 (P?=?0.0026) and rs11743128 (P?=?0.0387) in the independent validation sample. The aim of the present study was to explore the role of lncRNA ANRIL in the pathogenesis of ischemic stroke (IS) and coronary artery disease (CAD) and to determine the association between ANRIL variants and the genetic susceptibility of IS and CAD in the Chinese Han population. A genetic association study including 550 IS patients, 550 CAD patients, and 550 healthy controls was conducted. The expression levels of lncRNA ANRIL, CDKN2A, and CDKN2B were detected using qRT-PCR. Genotyping was performed by Sequenom MassARRAY on an Agena platform. Our study showed that IS patients had an increased lncRNA ANRIL expression (P?=?0.002) and a decreased CDKN2A expression (P?<?0.001) compared with normal controls. A significant difference with regard to the genotype distribution of rs2383207 was found between male IS patients and controls (P?=?0.011). The minor allele of rs2383207 significantly increased the IS risk under a recessive model (OR?=?1.52, 95% CI?=?1.05–2.21, P?=?0.027). The minor allele of rs1333049 was significantly associated with the risk of IS among the male patients under a recessive model (OR?=?1.56, 95% CI?=?1.04–2.35, P?=?0.031). However, no significant association was found between the ANRIL variants and the risk of CAD (all P?>?0.050). In addition, we found a decreased lncRNA ANRIL expression in IS patients who carried the GG genotype of rs1333049 compared with IS patients who carried the CC or CG genotype (P?=?0.041). In summary, we found that IS patients had an increased lncRNA ANRIL expression and a decreased CDKN2A expression compared with the controls, which might play an impellent role in pathological processes of IS. Background

A common SCN5A polymorphism H558R (c.1673 A?>?G, rs1805124) improves sodium channel activity in mutated channels and known to be a genetic modifier of Brugada syndrome patients (BrS). We investigated clinical manifestations and underlying mechanisms of H558R in BrS.

Methods and results

We genotyped H558R in 100 BrS (mean age 45?±?14 years; 91 men) and 1875 controls (mean age 54?±?18 years; 1546 men). We compared clinical parameters in BrS with and without H558R (H558R+ vs. H558R- group, N?=?9 vs. 91). We also obtained right atrial sections from 30 patients during aortic aneurysm operations and compared SCN5A expression and methylation with or without H558R. H558R was less frequent in BrS than controls (9.0% vs. 19.2%, P?=?0.028). The VF occurrence ratio was significantly lower (0% vs. 29.7%, P?=?0.03) and spontaneous type 1 ECG was less observed in H558R+ than H558R- group (33.3% vs. 74.7%, P?=?0.01). The SCN5A expression level was significantly higher and the methylation rate was significantly lower in sections with H558R (N?=?10) than those without (0.98?±?0.14 vs. 0.83?±?0.19, P?=?0.04; 0.7?±?0.2% vs. 1.6?±?0.1%, P?=?0.004, respectively). In BrS with heterozygous H558R, the A allele mRNA expression was 1.38 fold higher than G allele expression.

Conclusion

The SCN5A polymorphism H558R may be a modifier that protects against VF occurrence in BrS. The H558R decreased the SCN5A promoter methylation and increased the expression level in cardiac tissue. An allelic expression imbalance in BrS with a heterozygous H558R may also contribute to the protective effects in heterozygous mutations.

Background

We aimed to clarify the emerging epigenetic landscape in a group of genes classified as “modifier genes” of the β-type globin genes (HBB cluster), known to operate in trans to accomplish the two natural developmental switches in globin expression, from embryonic to fetal during the first trimester of conception and from fetal to adult around the time of birth. The epigenetic alterations were determined in adult sickle cell anemia (SCA) homozygotes and SCA/β-thalassemia compound heterozygotes of Greek origin, who are under hydroxyurea (HU) treatment. Patients were distinguished in HU responders and HU non-responders (those not benefited from the HU) and both, and in vivo and in vitro approaches were implemented.

Results

We examined the CpG islands’ DNA methylation profile of BCL11A, KLF1, MYB, MAP3K5, SIN3A, ZBTB7A, and GATA2, along with γ-globin and LRF/ZBTB7A expression levels. In vitro treatment of hematopoietic stem cells (HSCs) with HU induced a significant DNA hypomethylation pattern in ZBTB7A (p*, 0.04) and GATA2 (p*, 0.03) CpGs exclusively in the HU non-responders. Also, this group of patients exhibited significantly elevated baseline methylation patterns in ZBTB7A, before the HU treatment, compared to HU responders (p*, 0.019) and to control group of healthy individuals (p*, 0.021), which resembles a potential epigenetic barrier for the γ-globin expression. γ-Globin expression in vitro matched with detected HbF levels during patients’ monitoring tests (in vivo) under HU treatment, implying a good reproducibility of the in vitro HU epigenetic effect. LRF/ZBTB7A expression was elevated only in the HU non-responders under the influence of HU.

Conclusions

This is one of the very first pharmacoepigenomic studies indicating that the hypomethylation of ZBTB7A during HU treatment enhances the LRF expression, which by its turn suppresses the HbF resumption in the HU non-responders. Its role as an epigenetic regulator of hemoglobin switching is also supported by the wide distribution of ZBTB7A-binding sites within the 5′ CpG sequences of all studied human HBB cluster “modifier genes.” Also, the baseline methylation level of selective CpGs in ZBTB7A and GATA2 could be an indicator of the negative HU response among the β-type hemoglobinopathy patients.

The peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor δ (PPARD) and peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor γ coactivator 1α (PPARGC1A) genes recently have been suggested to have an association with athletic performance and physical endurance. These gene products are reported to be crucial components in training-induced muscle adaptation, since they are related with mRNA and/or protein activity in coordinated response to exercise. To assess the possible contribution of the PPARD T294C/PPARGC1A Gly482Ser polymorphism to differences in physical endurance, we performed a population-based study of 111 Korean athletes and 145 healthy controls based on their genotype distribution of the genes. The two loci were found to be not deviated from Hardy–Weinberg equilibrium. There were no differences in genotype distribution of PPARD T294C and PPARGC1A Gly482Ser between the athletic group and controls (p > 0.05). In contrast, we found a significant association between the PPARGC1A Gly482Ser polymorphism and the 20 m shuttle run activity (a measure of endurance performance) in the athletic group (p = 0.003). The result showed a remarkable increase in the numbers of shuttle run ratio from subjects with the PPARGC1A Gly/Gly genotype (85.29 ± 28.80) than those with the Gly/Ser (58.05 ± 32.76) and Ser/Ser (68.38 ± 30.47) genotypes. Thus, our data imply that the PPARGC1A Gly/Gly genotype may provide a beneficial effect on elite-level endurance status, although functional studies with larger sample sizes are necessary to elucidate these findings.  相似文献

The 23 polymorphic variants in genes encoding the enzymes of xenobiotics biotransformation (CYP1A1 (rs4646903), CYP1A2 (rs762551), GSTP1 (rs1138272, rs1695), GSTM1 (del), and GSTT1 (del)), DNA repair (XRCC1 (rs25489, rs25487), APEX1 (rs1130409), hOGG1 (rs1052133), ADPRT (rs1136410), XPD (rs13181), XPG (rs17655), XPC (rs2228001), ATM (rs1801516), NBS (rs1805794), XRCC2 (rs3218536), and XRCC3 (rs861539)), antioxidant system (MnSOD (rs4880) and GPx1 (rs1050450)), cell cycle control and apoptosis (TP53 (rs1042522)), DNA methylation (MTHFR (rs1801133) and MTR (rs1805087)), and chromosomal aberrations in lymphocytes in the workers at thermal power plants were analyzed. We found that allelic variants in the CYP1A1 (rs4646903), hOGG1 (rs1052133), XRCC1 (rs25487), and APEX1 (rs1130409) genes were associated with an increased level of chromosomal aberrations in workers. Informative models of gene-gene interactions including CYP1A1 (rs4646903, T>C), CYP1A2 (rs762551, C>A), GSTT1 (del); XRCC1 (rs25487, G>A), MTHFR (rs1801133, C>T), GSTT1 (del); XRCC1 (rs25487, G>A), APEX1 (rs1130409, T>G), TP53 (rs1042522, G>C) determining the formation of the increased frequency of chromosomal aberrations in the workers at coal thermal power plants were discovered.  相似文献

The short arm of chromosome 3 (3p) contains several critical regions that have increased frequencies of allelic deletions and harbor a set of tumor suppressor genes. In particular, the range of functions performed by RASSF1A (LUCA region, 3p21.31) includes those potentially associated with carcinogenesis. Among 3p genes, RASSF1A has the highest methylation frequency in epithelial tumors of various locations. For the first time, two different methods (methylation-specific PCR and methylation-sensitive restriction analysis) independently showed that the methylation level of the CpG island in the RASSF1A promoter region significantly correlated with grade and clinical stage of clear cell renal cell carcinoma (RCC). An analysis of 23 3p polymorphic markers in a representative set of 80 RCC cases characterized clinically and histologically revealed that RCC progression significantly correlated with the frequency of allelic imbalances in some critical regions of 3p (LUCA and AP20), but not in 3p as a whole. These data suggest that RCC progression is associated with the methylation of the RASSF1A promoter and, possibly, with structural and functional alterations in other 3p genes. In addition, significant correlation between RASSF1A methylation and allelic losses at the nearby polymorphic marker locus suggests the “two hit” model for the inactivation of this tumor suppressor gene in RCC.  相似文献

Understanding patterns of genetic diversity of plants is important in guiding conservation programs. The aim of our study was to characterize genetic diversity in Afzelia quanzensis, an economically important African tree species. We genotyped 192 individuals at 10 nuclear microsatellite loci. Samples were collected from nine sites in Zimbabwe, five in the north and four in the south, separated by a mountain range, the Kalahari-Zimbabwe axis. Overall, genetic diversity was relatively low across all sites (expected heterozygosity (H E)?=?0.452, mean number of alleles (A)?=?4.367, allelic richness (A R)?=?2.917, effective number of alleles (A E)?=?2.208, and private allelic richness (PAR)?=?0.197). Genetic diversity estimates, H E, A, A R, and PAR, were not significantly different between northern and southern sites. Allelic richness was significantly higher in southern sites. Significant population differentiation was observed among all sites (F ST ?=?0.0936, G′ ST ?=?0.1982, G ST ?=?0.1001, D JOST?=?0.0598). STRUCTURE analysis and principal components analysis identified two gene pools, one predominantly made up of southern individuals, and the other of northern individuals. A Monmonier’s function detected a genetic barrier that coincided with the Kalahari-Zimbabwe axis. The relatively low level of genetic diversity in A. quanzensis may reduce adaptability and limit future evolutionary responses. All sites should be monitored for deleterious effects of low genetic diversity, and genetic resource management should take into consideration the existence of the distinct gene pools to capture the entire extant genetic variation.  相似文献

Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) is a complex chronic inflammatory disease of the respiratory system that affects primarily distal respiratory pathways and lung parenchyma. Smoking tobacco is a major risk factor for COPD. The relationship of HTR4 (rs3995090), HTR2A (rs6313), GRIK5 (rs8099939), GRIN2B (rs2268132), and CHRNB4 (rs1948) gene polymorphisms and COPD, as well as the contribution of these polymorphisms to the variations in quantitative characteristics that describe respiratory function, smoking behavior, and nicotine dependence was assessed in an ethnically homogeneous Tatar population. The polymorphisms of HTR2A (rs6313) (P = 0.026, OR = 1.42 for the CC genotype) and GRIN2B (rs2268132) (P = 0.0001, OR = 2.39 for the TT genotype) were significantly associated with increased risk of COPD. The AA genotype of GRIK5 (rs8099939) had a protective effect (P = 0.02, OR = 0.61). Importantly, the HTR2A (rs6313), GRIN2B (rs2268132), and GRIK5 (rs8099939) polymorphisms were only associated with COPD in smokers. Smoking index (pack-years) was significantly higher in carriers of the GRIK5 genotype AC (rs8099939) (P = 0.0027). The TT genotype of GRIN2B (rs2268132) was associated with COPD in subjects with high nicotine dependence according to the Fagerström test (P = 0.002, OR = 2.98). The TT genotype of HTR2A (rs6313) was associated with a reduced risk of the disease in the group with moderate nicotine dependence (P = 0.02, OR = 0.22). The CC genotype of HTR2A (rs6313) and the TT genotype of GRIN2B (rs2268132) were associated with higher levels of nicotine dependence according to the Fagerström test (P = 0.0011 and P = 0.037). Our results may provide insight into potential molecular mechanisms that involve the glutamate (GRIK5, GRIN2B) and serotonin (HTR2A) receptor genes in the pathogenesis of COPD.  相似文献

Background

Chronic inflammation has been widely considered to be the major risk factor of coronary heart disease (CHD). The goal of our study was to explore the possible association with CHD for inflammation-related single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) involved in cytosine-phosphate-guanine (CpG) dinucleotides. A total of 784 CHD patients and 739 non-CHD controls were recruited from Zhejiang Province, China. Using the Sequenom MassARRAY platform, we measured the genotypes of six inflammation-related CpG-SNPs, including IL1B rs16944, IL1R2 rs2071008, PLA2G7 rs9395208, FAM5C rs12732361, CD40 rs1800686, and CD36 rs2065666). Allele and genotype frequencies were compared between CHD and non-CHD individuals using the CLUMP22 software with 10,000 Monte Carlo simulations.

Results

Allelic tests showed that PLA2G7 rs9395208 and CD40 rs1800686 were significantly associated with CHD. Moreover, IL1B rs16944, PLA2G7 rs9395208, and CD40 rs1800686 were shown to be associated with CHD under the dominant model. Further gender-based subgroup tests showed that one SNP (CD40 rs1800686) and two SNPs (FAM5C rs12732361 and CD36 rs2065666) were associated with CHD in females and males, respectively. And the age-based subgroup tests indicated that PLA2G7 rs9395208, IL1B rs16944, and CD40 rs1800686 were associated with CHD among individuals younger than 55, younger than 65, and over 65, respectively.

Conclusions

In conclusion, all the six inflammation-related CpG-SNPs (rs16944, rs2071008, rs12732361, rs2065666, rs9395208, and rs1800686) were associated with CHD in the combined or subgroup tests, suggesting an important role of inflammation in the risk of CHD.

Background

After coronary stenting, the risk of developing restenosis is from 20 to 35 %. The aim of the present study is to investigate the association of genetic variation in candidate genes in patients diagnosed with restenosis in the Kazakh population.

Methods

Four hundred fifty-nine patients were recruited to the study; 91 patients were also diagnosed with diabetes and were excluded from the sampling. DNA was extracted with the salting-out method. The patients were genotyped for 53 single-nucleotide polymorphisms. Genotyping was performed on the QuantStudio 12K Flex (Life Technologies). Differences in distribution of BMI score among different genotype groups were compared by analysis of variance (ANOVA). Also, statistical analysis was performed using R and PLINK v.1.07. Haplotype frequencies and LD measures were estimated by using the software Haploview 4.2.

Results

A logistic regression analysis found a significant difference in restenosis rates for different genotypes. FGB (rs1800790) is significantly associated with restenosis after stenting (OR?=?2.924, P?=?2.3E?06, additive model) in the Kazakh population. CD14 (rs2569190) showed a significant association in the additive (OR?=?0.08033, P?=?2.11E?09) and dominant models (OR?=?0.05359, P?=?4.15E?11). NOS3 (rs1799983) was also highly associated with development of restenosis after stenting in additive (OR?=?20.05, P?=?2.74 E?12) and recessive models (OR?=?22.24, P?=?6.811E?10).

Conclusions

Our results indicate that FGB (rs1800790), CD14 (rs2569190), and NOS3 (rs1799983) SNPs could be genetic markers for development of restenosis in Kazakh population. Adjustment for potential confounder factor BMI gave almost the same results.

The expression of nine functional candidates for QT abdominal fat weight and relative abdominal fat content was investigated by real-time polymerase chain reaction (PCR) in the liver, adipose tissue, colon, muscle, pituitary gland and brain of broilers. The high mobility group AT-hook 1 (HMG1A) gene was up-regulated in liver with a ratio of means of 2.90 (P?≤?0.01) in the «fatty» group (relative abdominal fat content 3.5?±?0.18%, abdominal fat weight 35.4?±?6.09 g) relative to the «lean» group (relative abdominal fat content 1.9?±?0.56%, abdominal fat weight 19.2?±?5.06 g). Expression of this gene was highly correlated with the relative abdominal fat content (0.70, P?≤?0.01) and abdominal fat weight (0.70, P?≤?0.01). The peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor gamma (PPARG) gene was also up-regulated in the liver with a ratio of means of 3.34 (P?≤?0.01) in the «fatty» group relative to the «lean» group. Correlation of its expression was significant with both the relative abdominal fat content (0.55, P?≤?0.05) and the abdominal fat weight (0.57, P?≤?0.01). These data suggest that the HMG1A and PPARG genes were candidate genes for abdominal fat deposition in chickens. Searching of rSNPs in regulatory regions of the HMG1A and PPARG genes could provide a tool for gene-assisted selection.  相似文献

Background

Signet ring cells (SRCs) often accompany gastrointestinal carcinoma, referred to as SRC carcinoma; however, breast cancers containing SRCs have not been well characterized, leaving the prognostic significance of SRCs undetermined. We have described clinicopathological characteristics of patients with breast cancer containing SRCs in relation to the expression levels of MUC1, MUC2, MUC4, MUC5AC, and MUC6.

Methods

Twenty-two breast cancer cases with variable degrees of SRC population were retrospectively studied. Each case was categorized as high (>31 %) or low (<30 %) SRC tumor. The SRCs were morphologically classified into the intra-cytoplasmic lumen (ICL) type, or the non-ICL type. The expression levels of MUC1, MUC2, MUC4, MUC5AC and MUC6 were determined immunohistochemically. Depending on its subcellular localization, MUC1 was categorized as the luminal and cytoplasmic (LC) type, or the cytoplasmic with circumferential membranous accentuation (CM) type. These histological findings were compared with other clinicopathological parameters.

Results

The series consisted of invasive ductal carcinoma (n?=?9), invasive lobular carcinoma (n?=?9), and mucinous carcinoma (n?=?4) cases. The SRC population accounted for 8–81 % of the tumor cells. Eight cases had ICL type SRCs, and the remaining 14 had non-ICL type SRCs. Neither the high (n?=?12) and low (n?=?10) percentage of SRCs, nor the SRC types affected the clinicopathological parameters. In the low MUC1 group (n?=?11), larger tumors, higher nuclear grade, lymph node metastasis, and negativity for estrogen receptor was more frequently identified compared to the high MUC1 group (n?=?11; p?=?0.01, p?=?0.002, p?=?0.008, and p?=?0.02, respectively). The CM group (n?=?7) had more patients with large-sized tumors, lymph node metastasis, lymphovascular invasion, and higher Ki67 indices than the LC group (n?=?15; p?=?0.04, p?=?0.001, p?=?0.006, and p?=?0.03, respectively). The expression levels of MUC2, MUC4, MUC5AC, and MUC6 showed no clinicopathological significance. Two patients with low MUC1 expression and CM patterns had tumor recurrence, resulting in death, while all the other patients survived without recurrence.

Conclusion

Our results demonstrate that in breast cancers containing SRCs, low MUC1 expression and/or its CM subcellular localization patterns are associated with unfavorable clinicopathological factors. The utility of MUC1 expression as a prognostic marker remains to be verified in future studies.

Background

Whether adiponectin (ADIPOQ) polymorphisms are associated with the risk of polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) remain controversial. Therefore, we performed this study to better explore correlations between ADIPOQ polymorphisms and PCOS risk.

Methods

Literature retrieve was conducted in PubMed, Medline and Embase. Odds ratios (ORs) and 95% confidence intervals (CIs) were calculated.

Results

Eighteen studies were enrolled for analyses. Pooled overall analyses showed that rs1501299 polymorphism was significantly associated with PCOS risk (recessive model: p?=?0.02, OR?=?0.77, 95%CI 0.62–0.95; allele model: p?=?0.001, OR?=?1.15, 95%CI 1.06–1.26). Further subgroup analyses according to ethnicity of participants revealed that rs1501299 and rs2241766 polymorphisms were both significantly correlated with PCOS risk in Caucasians. In addition, rs1501299 polymorphism was also significantly correlated with PCOS risk in East Asians.

Conclusions

Our findings indicated that rs1501299 and rs2241766 polymorphisms might serve as genetic biomarkers of PCOS in certain ethnicities.

GRB2-associated binding protein 2 (GAB2) has been identified as a crucial factor in Alzheimer’s disease (AD), and ten common variants within GAB2 have been detected to be associated with AD onset risk in genome-wide association studies (GWAS). Here, we first screened a common locus (rs3740677) in 3′ UTR of GAB2 sequence which is targeted by the miRNA-185 and initiatively explored the probable associations of rs3740677 with risk for late-onset AD (LOAD) in a large scale case–control study from Chinese Han populations (992 LOAD patients and 1358 healthy subjects). Eventually, the genotype (P?=?0.024) and allele (P?=?0.008) distribution of rs3740677 showed significant difference between LOAD and control group, and we observed a significant association of T allele in rs3740677 with LOAD risk in multivariate analysis and it decreased the risk for LOAD (dominant: OR?=?0.831, 95 % CI?=?0.702–0.983, P?=?0.031; additive: OR?=?0.855, 95 % CI?=?0.745–0.983, P?=?0.027) adjusted for age, gender, and APOE ε4 status. Our study further confirmed the association of GAB2 and AD. However, the absolute and correct association of rs3740677 with AD still required more investigations in diverse regions and ethnics.  相似文献

The study was aimed to analyze the relation between individual genotypes and allelic variants of SNPs g.2141C>G of growth hormone gene, g.914T>A and g.257A>G of growth hormone receptor gene with growth and reproduction traits and to evaluate the populationgenetic structure in Aberdeen-Angus cattle (Bos taurus L., 1758) sample of Eastern Ukraine according SNPs studied. Allele C of SNP g.2141C>G has a positive correlation with birth weight, body stature, bigger rump, udder and total exterior evaluation score, shorter calving interval and better calve birth weight and negative correlation with calve average daily gain. Allele T of SNP g.914T>A has positive correlation with the muscle and udder size; live weight in each age, average daily gain, weight and average daily gain of calves born conform to the principle AA>TTTA. SNP g.257A>G showed a positive correlation for G allele with muscle size. The population is in equilibrium for SNPs g.2141C>G and g.257A>G, and in disequilibrium for SNP g.914T>A. The analysis showed no linkage disequilibrium between SNPs g.914T>A and g.257A>G. Inbreeding coefficient FST in Aberdeen-Angus group studied was 16.1%.  相似文献

Background

CDKN2BAS gene polymorphisms has been shown to correlation with intracranial aneurysm(IA) in the study of foreign people. The study, the author selected the Chinese people as the research object to explore whether CDKN2BAS gene polymorphisms associated with Chinese patients with IA.

Methods

We selected 200 patients(52.69?±?11.50) with sporadic IA as experimental group, 200 participants(49.99?±?13.00) over the same period to the hospital without cerebrovascular diseases as control group. Extraction of peripheral blood DNA, applying polymerase chain reaction(PCR)-ligase detection reaction (LDR) identified CDKN2BAS Single nucleotide polymorphism(SNP) locus genotype: rs6475606, rs1333040, rs10757272, rs3217992, rs974336, rs3217986, rs1063192. The differences in allelic and genotype frequencies between the patient and control groups were evaluated by the chi-square test or Fisher’s exact tests.

Results

The genotype of rs1333040 and rs6475606 shown association with sporadic IA(X2?=?8.545, P?=?0.014; X2?=?10.961, P?=?0.004; respectively);the C allele of rs6475606 showed reduction the occurrence of IA; the rs1333040 and rs6475606 associated with hemorrhage, the C allele of rs1333040 could lower the risk of hemorrhage, and rs6475606 will not, rs1333040 also associated with aneurysm size.

Conclusion

Our research shows that variant rs1333040 and rs6475606 of CDKN2BAS related to the Chinese han population of sporadic IAs occurs. This study confirms the association between CDKN2BAS and IAs.
