Catalytic combustion of hydrocarbons is an important technology to produce energy. Compared to conventional flame combustion, the catalyst enables this process to operate at lower temperatures; hence, reducing the energy required for efficient combustion. The reaction and activation energies of direct combustion of hydrocarbons (CH?→?C?+?H) on a series of metal surfaces were investigated using density functional theory (DFT). The data obtained for the Ag, Au, Al, Cu, Rh, Pt, and Pd surfaces were used to investigate the validity of the Brønsted-Evans-Polanyi (BEP) and transition state scaling (TSS) relations for this reaction on these surfaces. These relations were found to be valid (R2?=?0.94 for the BEP correlation and R2?=?1.0 for the TSS correlation) and were therefore used to estimate the energetics of the combustion reaction on Ni, Co, and Fe surfaces. It was found that the estimated transition state and activation energies (ETS?=??69.70 eV and Ea?=?1.20 eV for Ni, ETS?=??87.93 eV and Ea?=?1.08 eV for Co and ETS?=??92.45 eV and Ea?=?0.83 eV for Fe) are in agreement with those obtained by DFT calculations (ETS?=??69.98 eV and Ea?=?1.23 eV for Ni, ETS?=??87.88 eV and Ea?=?1.08 eV for Co and ETS?=??92.57 eV and Ea?=?0.79 eV for Fe). Therefore, these relations can be used to predict energetics of this reaction on these surfaces without doing the time consuming transition state calculations. Also, the calculations show that the activation barrier for CH dissociation decreases in the order Ag ? Au ? Al ? Cu ? Pt ? Pd ? Ni?>?Co?>?Rh?>?Fe.  相似文献

Crop residue-derived dissolved organic matter (DOM) plays an important role in soil carbon (C) cycling. To investigate the effects of maize residue-derived DOM and urea additions on the native soil organic carbon (SOC) decomposition and soil net C balance a pot experiment was carried out during the winter wheat growing season in the North China Plain (NCP). The results showed that adding maize residue-derived DOM alone (RDOM) or together with urea (RDOM?+?N) accelerated the decomposition of native SOC and resulted in a net SOC loss. The net loss of SOC was 3.90?±?0.61 and 3.53?±?0.48?g?C?m?2 in RDOM and RDOM?+?N treatments, respectively. The stimulatory effect of per unit DOM-C addition on the native SOC decomposition was 0.25?±?0.05 and 0.45?±?0.07 for the RDOM and RDOM?+?N treatments, respectively. Increases in the microbial biomass and the activity of β-glucosidase, invertase and cellobiohydrolase as well as soil mineral N content were responsible for a more intense priming effect in DOM-amended soils. The positive relationship between primed soil C and soil available N (R?=?0.76, P?<?0.05) suggested that the stimulation of decomposition of native SOC by DOM addition would be enhanced by nitrogen fertilizer application.  相似文献

In this study body temperature (BT, °C) and panting score (PS, 0–4.5; where 0?=?no panting/no stress and 4.5?=?catastrophic stress) data were obtained from 30 Angus steers housed outside over 120 days Steers were implanted with a BT transmitter on day ?31, BT was recorded at 30-min intervals to a data logger and downloaded each day to a database. The cattle were housed in ten outdoor un-shaded pens with an earthen floor, eight of which had a pen floor area of 144 m2 (three transmitter steers plus five non-transmitter steers; 18 m2/steer) and two had an area of 168 m2 (three transmitter steers and six non-transmitter steers; 18.7 m2/steer). Only data from the transmitter steers were used in this study. The PS of the steers was obtained daily (± 15 min) at 0600 hours (AM), 1200 hours (MD) and 1600 hours (PM). At the same times climate variables (ambient temperature, black globe temperature, solar radiation, relative humidity, wind speed and rainfall) were obtained from an on-site weather station. PS observations were made from outside the pens so as not to influence cattle responses. The two closest BT values to the time when PS was obtained were downloaded retrospectively from a logger and averaged. A total of 8,352 observations were used to generate second order polynomial response curves: (AM) y?=?39.08?+?0.009?x +?0.137x 2 (R 2?=?0.94; P? y?=?39.09?+?0.914x ? 0.080x 2 (R 2?=?0.89; P? y?=?39.52?+?0.790x ? 0.068x 2 (R 2?=?0.83; P?x?PS. We aimed to investigate the role of betaine supplementation on muscle phosphorylcreatine (PCr) content and strength performance in untrained subjects. Additionally, we compared the ergogenic and physiological responses to betaine versus creatine supplementation. Finally, we also tested the possible additive effects of creatine and betaine supplementation. This was a double-blind, randomized, placebo-controlled study. Subjects were assigned to receive betaine (BET; 2?g/day), creatine (CR; 20?g/day), betaine plus creatine (BET?+?CR; 2?+?20?g/day, respectively) or placebo (PL). At baseline and after 10?days of supplementation, we assessed muscle strength and power, muscle PCr content, and body composition. The CR and BET?+?CR groups presented greater increase in muscle PCr content than PL (p?=?0.004 and p?=?0.006, respectively). PCr content was comparable between BET versus PL (p?=?0.78) and CR versus BET?+?CR (p?=?0.99). CR and BET?+?CR presented greater muscle power output than PL in the squat exercise following supplementation (p?=?0.003 and p?=?0.041, respectively). Similarly, bench press average power was significantly greater for the CR-supplemented groups. The prevalence of goiter still remains high in some areas of Iran in spite of iodine supplementation. In the present study, we investigated the role of selenium (Se) deficiency in the etiology of goiter in Isfahan. Two thousand three hundred thirty-one schoolchildren were selected by multistage random sampling. Thyroid size was estimated in each child by inspection and palpation. Urinary iodine concentration (UIC) and plasma Se were measured. Overall, 32.9% of the 2,331 children had goiter. The median UIC was 19.55 µg/dl. Plasma Se was measured in 96 goitrous and 72 nongoitrous children. The mean?±?SD of plasma Se in goitrous and nongoitrous children was 66.86?±?21.82 and 76.67?±?23.33 µg/l, respectively (P?=?0.006). Goitrous girls had lower plasma Se level than nongoitrous girls (65.62?±?21.64 vs. 76.51?±?22.61 µg/dl, P?=?0.02). Goitrous boys had lower plasma Se level than nongoitrous boys (68.45?±?22.21 vs. 76.91?±?24.76 μg/l, P?=?0.14). The prevalence of Se deficiency was significantly higher in goitrous boys and girls than nongoitrous children. Se deficiency is among the contributors of goiter in Isfahan goitrous schoolchildren. Abstract

Shanxi is a heavily polluted area in China. Our aim was to analyze the elemental concentration (71 elements) in ambient air in Taiyuan and evaluate cancer and non-cancer risks. Air was sampled in four urban sites and one rural site in the heating season (winter/spring) and summer season (totally 118?days sampling time). Mean total suspended particles (TSP) across all sampling sites were 248 µg/m3 in summer and 478 µg/m3 in winter. The heating season had higher levels of S, Pb, Br, Mn, Se, As, Ni, Cd, and Hg (23.3 µg/m3, 821?ng/m3, 725?ng/m3, 460?ng/m3, 79?ng/m3, 65?ng/m3, 34?ng/m3, 17?ng/m3, and 3.5?ng/m3, respectively) than the summer season (9.6 µg/m3, 276?ng/m3, 138?ng/m3, 283?ng/m3, 0?ng/m3, 21?ng/m3, 21?ng/m3, 6.8?ng/m3, and 0?ng/m3, respectively), except for Cr and Co, of which the levels were higher in summer. Many elements had a high correlation with the TSP level (r?=?0.70–0.96) and S (r?=?0.61–0.95). A health risk assessment demonstrated that Mn and Cr could have a risk of non-cancer effects. Estimated lifetime cancer risks (Ri>10?6) were observed for As, Cd, Co, Cr, and Ni, indicating that cancer risks from air pollution were relatively high in Taiyuan.  相似文献

Brown rot (BR) caused by Monilinia spp. leads to significant post-harvest losses in stone fruit production, especially peach. Previous genetic analyses in peach progenies suggested that BR resistance segregates as a quantitative trait. In order to uncover genomic regions associated with this trait and identify molecular markers for assisted selection (MAS) in peach, an F1 progeny from the cross “Contender” (C, resistant)?×?“Elegant Lady” (EL, susceptible) was chosen for quantitative trait loci (QTL) analysis. Over two phenotyping seasons, skin (SK) and flesh (FL) artificial infections were performed on fruits using a Monilinia fructigena isolate. For each treatment, infection frequency (if) and average rot diameter (rd) were scored. Significant seasonal and intertrait correlations were found. Maturity date (MD) was significantly correlated with disease impact. Sixty-three simple sequence repeats (SSRs) plus 26 single-nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) markers were used to genotype the C?×?EL population and to construct a linkage map. C?×?EL map included the eight Prunus linkage groups (LG), spanning 572.92 cM, with an average interval distance of 6.9 cM, covering 78.73 % of the peach genome (V1.0). Multiple QTL mapping analysis including MD trait as covariate uncovered three genomic regions associated with BR resistance in the two phenotyping seasons: one containing QTLs for SK resistance traits near M1a (LG C?×?EL-2, R 2?=?13.1–31.5 %) and EPPISF032 (LG C?×?EL-4, R 2?=?11–14 %) and the others containing QTLs for FL resistance, near markers SNP_IGA_320761 and SNP_IGA_321601 (LG3, R 2?=?3.0–11.0 %). These results suggest that in the C?×?EL F1 progeny, skin resistance to fungal penetration and flesh resistance to rot spread are distinguishable mechanisms constituting BR resistance trait, associated with different genomic regions. Spermatogenesis is a complex process regulated by many genes. In this study, H2AFZ, RNF4 and NR4A1 genes were selected as candidate genes for boar semen quality traits based on their functions during spermatogenesis, and the associations of three loci (H2AFZ c.192?+?210–192?+?213delCGAT, RNF4 c.374?+?358 T?>?C and NR4A1 c.956?+?796 A?>?G) with sperm quality traits were analyzed in Duroc (n?=?185), Large White (n?=?87) and Landrace (n?=?49) pig populations. The results showed H2AFZ c.192?+?210–192?+?213delCGAT AA boars produced 1.52% lower abnormal sperm rate (ASR) than AB boars in Landrace pigs (p?<?0.05); RNF4 c.374?+?358?TC boars produced 0.31?×?108/ml higher sperm concentration (SCON) than CC boars (p?<?0.05) in Large White pigs; NR4A1 c.956?+?796 A?>?G was associated with ASR in Duroc and Large White pigs and was associated with sperm motility (MOT) in Large White and Landrace pigs. The newly developed droplet digital PCR (DD-PCR) has shown promise as a DNA quantification technology in medical diagnostic fields. This study evaluated the applicability of DD-PCR as a quantitative tool for soil DNA using quantitative real-time PCR (qRT-PCR) as a reference technology. Cupriavidus sp. MBT14 and Sphingopyxis sp. MD2 were used, and a primer/TaqMan probe set was designed for each (CupMBT and SphMD2, respectively). Standard curve analyses on tenfold dilution series showed that both qRT-PCR and DD-PCR exhibited excellent linearity (R 2?=?1.00) and PCR efficiency (≥92 %) across their detectable ranges. However, DD-PCR showed a tenfold greater sensitivity than qRT-PCR. MBT14 and MD2 were added to non-sterile soil at 0?~?5?×?108 and 0?~?5?×?107 cells per gram of soil, respectively (n?=?5). This bacterial load test indicated that DD-PCR was more sensitive and discriminating than qRT-PCR. For instance, DD-PCR showed a gradual DNA increase from 14 to 141,160 MBT14 rDNA copies μL DNA extract?1 as the bacterial load increased, while qRT-PCR could quantify the DNA (6,432 copies μL DNA?1) at ≥5?×?105 MBT14 per gram of soil. The effect of three experimental factors pH (addition of lactic acid and sodium hydroxide), water, and sodium chloride (NaCl) addition on wheat bread making performance (volume, baking loss, crumb firmness, crumb grain features) and the crumb staling during storage was studied. The staling behavior was modeled with the Avrami equation and with linear regressions. All bread quality parameters were reliably modeled using response surface methodology (up to R 2 ?=?0.97). The crumb staling behavior was better described by a linear regression than by the rate constant k of the Avrami equation (R 2 ?=?0.87 / R 2 ?=?0.36). The highest volume can be achieved with the experimental values pH 5.39, 0.41?g NaCl 100?g?1 flour and 68.7?g water 100?g?1 flour. Correlation analysis revealed significant linear dependency of dough rheology (complex shear modulus) on the firmness of the bread crumb (r?=?0.73) and staling attributes (r????0.73). Commercial preparation of a seaweed extract from the brown alga Ascophyllum nodosum for use as fertiliser and soil improver produces a sludge residue which requires remediation. This residue is rich in nutrients and offers the potential for other value-added products. The residue composition was analysed, a microbial digestion process for the residue was developed, and several factors affecting the digestion process were studied. The residue showed an alkaline pH (8.61?±?0.39) and 16% (w/w) total solids, which comprised 40.6% mineral, 29.5% fibre, 24.3% lipid, 4.9% protein and 0.5% polyphenols. The optimised digestion system included a 3-day anaerobic phase to decrease pH (from 8.96?±?0.40 to 7.72?±?0.38), the addition of an inoculum, followed by a 10-day aerobic phase where the insoluble material was digested. Every 3 days, the solubilised material was decanted and replaced with water to delay metabolite inhibition. The rate of digestion (decrease in insoluble material of 28.6?±?14.2% over 13 days) was influenced by the initial insoluble (R 2?=?0.773) and soluble (R 2?=?0.672) matter, the pH at the beginning of the aerobic phase (R 2?=?0.528) and by the accumulation of solubilised digestion products. A compositional analysis of the insoluble material after digestion showed that the lipid content of the residue was 96% digested and that the proportion of protein increased by 82.4%. Inocula and metabolite inhibition were critical features of A. nodosum residue digestion. Similar organic residues require a carefully chosen inoculum and a minimum initial insoluble content (65–70%) and/or a maximum soluble content (25.30%).  相似文献

Two trials were conducted in a 2?×?2?+?1 factorial arrangement based on a completely randomized design to evaluate the effects of different sources of selenium (Se) on performance, blood metabolites, and nutrient digestibility in male lambs on a barley-based diet. The first trial lasted for 70 days and consisted of 30 lambs (35.6?±?2.6 kg mean body weight, about 4–5 months of age) which were randomly allotted to five treatments including: (1) basal diet (containing 0.06 mg Se/kg DM; control) without supplementary Se, (2) basal diet?+?0.20 mg/kg Se as sodium selenite (SeS 0.20), (3) basal diet?+?0.40 mg/kg Se as sodium selenite (SeS 0.40), (4) basal diet?+?0.20 mg/kg Se as selenium yeast (SeY 0.20), and (5) basal diet?+?0.40 mg/kg Se as selenium yeast (SeY 0.40). For the second trial, four lambs from each group of experiment 1 were randomly allocated to individual metabolic cages for 14 days to measure the effects of dietary Se on nutrient digestibility. The results revealed that there were no significant differences for average daily gain, average daily feed intake, feed/gain ratio, hematological parameters (packed cell volume, red blood cell, white blood cell, and hemoglobin values), serum total protein, albumin, globulin, aspartate amino transferase, alkaline phosphatase, and creatine phosphokinase due to supplementation of different amounts and sources of Se in lambs. Dietary Se supplementation significantly improved (P?<?0.001) glutathione peroxidase activity in blood. Furthermore, at the end of the trial, serum tri-iodothyronine (T3) amount also increased (P?<?0.05), while serum thyroxine (T4) amount decreased (P?<?0.05). Digestibility of dry matter, organic matter, crude protein, neutral detergent fiber, and acid detergent fiber increased (P?<?0.05) by Se yeast supplementation. It may be concluded that supplementation of Se in lambs had no significant effect on performance and blood hematology, but increased blood glutathione peroxidase activity and serum T3 amount and decreased serum T4 amount as compared to non-supplemented control lambs. Spray-dried ipratropium bromide (IPB) microspheres for oral inhalation were engineered using Quality by Design. The interrogation of material properties, process parameters, and critical product quality attributes interplay enabled rational product design. A 27–3 screening design exhibited the Maillard reaction between L-leucine (LL) and lactose at studied outlet temperatures (OT) >130°C. A response surface custom design was used in conjunction with multicriteria optimization to determine the operating design space to achieve inhalable microparticles. Statistically significant predictive models were developed for volume median diameter (p?=?0.0001, adjusted R 2? =?0.9938), span (p?=?0.0278, adjusted R 2? =?0.7912), yield (p?=?0.0020, adjusted R 2? =?0.9320), and OT (p?=?0.0082, adjusted R 2? =?0.8768). An independent verification batch confirmed the model’s predictive capability. The prediction and actual values were in good agreement. Particle size and span were 3.32?±?0.09 μm and 1.71?±?0.18, which were 4.7 and 5.3% higher than the predicted values. The process yield was 50.3%, compared to the predicted value of 65.3%. The OT was 100°C versus the predicted value of 105°C. The label strength of IPB microparticles was 99.0 to 105.9% w/w suggesting that enrichment occurred during the spray-drying process. Aims

A comparison was performed between plant species to determine if extractable, rather than total soil Se, is more effective at predicting plant Se accumulation over a full growing season.

Methods

Durum wheat (Triticum turgidum L.) and spring canola (Brassica napus L.) were sown in potted soil amended with 0, 0.1, 1.0, or 5.0 mg kg?1 Se as SeO4 2? or SeO3 2?. In addition, SeO4 2?-amended soils were amended with 0 or 50 mg kg?1 S as SO4 2?. Soils were analyzed for extractable and total concentration of Se ([Se]). Twice during the growing season plants were harvested and tissue [Se] was determined.

Results

Plants exposed to SeO3 2? accumulated the least Se. Fitted predictive models for whole plant accumulation based on extractable soil [Se] were similar to models based on total [Se] in soil (R2?=?0.73 or 0.74, respectively) and selenium speciation and soil [S] were important soil parameters to consider. As well, soil S amendments limited Se toxicity.

Conclusions

Soil quality guidelines (SQGs) based on extractable Se should be considered for risk assessment, particularly when Se speciation is unknown. Predictive models to estimate plant Se uptake should include soil S, a modifier of Se accumulation.  相似文献

Quinone oxidoreductases (NAD(P)H): quinone oxidoreductase 1 (NQO1) and NRH: quinone oxidoreductase 2 (NQO2) are an antioxidant enzyme, important in the detoxification of environmental carcinogens. Methylene-tetra-hydrofolate reductase (MTHFR), plays a role in folate metabolism and may have oncogenic role through disruption of normal DNA methylation pattern, synthesis, and impaired DNA repair. In a case–control study, genotyping was done in 195 PCa and 250 age matched unrelated healthy controls of similar ethnicity to determine variants in NQO1 exon 4 (C?>?T, rs4986998), exon 6 (C?>?T, rs1800566), NQO2 ?3423 (G?>?A, rs2070999) and MTHFR exon 4 (C?>?T, rs1801133) by PCR–RFLP methods. Heterozygous genotype CT and variant allele career genotype (CT?+?TT) of NQO1 exon 4 showed increased risk of PCa (OR?=?2.06, p?=?0.033; OR?=?2.02, p?=?0.027). Variant allele T also revealed increased risk (OR?=?1.87, p?=?0.029). Similarly variant genotype TT (OR?=?2.71, p?=?0.009), combined genotype (CT?+?TT) (OR?=?1.59, p?=?0.019) and T allele (OR?=?1.63, p?=?0.002) of NQO1 exon 6 demonstrated significant risk for PCa. Diplotypes of NQO1 (exon 4 and 6), C–T (OR?=?1.56, Pc?=?0.007) and T–T (OR?=?0.011, Pc?=?3.86) was associated with an increased risk for PCa. NQO2 and MTHFR did not show any risk with PCa. Our results strongly support that common sequence variants and diplotypes of NQO1 exon 4 and 6 genes may have role in PCa risk in the North Indian population, indicating the importance of genes involved in metabolism with respect to PCa risk. Additional studies on larger populations are needed to clarify the role of variation in these genes in PCa carcinogenesis.  相似文献

The accumulation of cadmium, its affinity for metallothioneins (MTs), and its relation to copper, zinc, and selenium were investigated in the experimental mudpuppy Necturus maculosus and the common toad Bufo bufo captured in nature. Specimens of N. maculosus were exposed to waterborne Cd (85???g/L) for up to 40?days. Exposure resulted in tissue-dependent accumulation of Cd in the order kidney, gills > intestine, liver, brain > pancreas, skin, spleen, and gonads. During the 40-day exposure, concentrations increased close to 1???g/g in kidneys and gills (0.64?C0.95 and 0.52?C0.76; n?=?4), whereas the levels stayed below 0.5 in liver (0.14?C0.29; n?=?4) and other organs. Cd exposure was accompanied by an increase of Zn and Cu in kidneys and Zn in skin, while a decrease of Cu was observed in muscles and skin. Cytosol metallothioneins (MTs) were detected as Cu,Zn?Cthioneins in liver and Zn,Cu?Cthioneins in gills and kidney, with the presence of Se in all cases. After exposure, Cd binding to MTs was clearly observed in cytosol of gills as Zn,Cu,Cd?Cthionein and in pellet extract of kidneys as Zn,Cu,Cd?Cthioneins. The results indicate low Cd storage in liver with almost undetectable Cd in liver MT fractions. In field trapped Bufo bufo (spring and autumn animals), Cd levels were followed in four organs and found to be in the order kidney > liver (0.56?C5.0???g/g >0.03?C0.72???g/g; n?=?11, spring and autumn animals), with no detectable Cd in muscle and skin. At the tissue level, high positive correlations between Cd, Cu, and Se were found in liver (all r?>?0.80; ???=?0.05, n?=?5), and between Cd and Se in kidney (r?=?0.76; n?=?5) of autumn animals, possibly connected with the storage of excess elements in biologically inert forms. In the liver of spring animals, having higher tissue level of Cd than autumn ones, part of the Cd was identified as Cu,Zn,Cd?Cthioneins with traces of Se. As both species are special in having liver Cu levels higher than Zn, the observed highly preferential Cd load in kidney seems reasonable. The relatively low Cd found in liver can be attributed to its excretion through bile and its inability to displace Cu from MTs. The associations of selenium observed with Cd and/or Cu (on the tissue and cell level) point to selenium involvement in the detoxification of excessive cadmium and copper through immobilization.  相似文献

The aim of this study was to determine the plasma selenium (Se), copper (Cu), and zinc (Zn) levels and to evaluate their possible association with metabolic syndrome (MetS) components in patients with schizophrenia. The study group consisted of 60 patients with schizophrenia and 60 sex- and age-matched healthy controls. Anthropometric measurements, blood pressure, and biochemical analysis of fasting blood were performed in all subjects. Patients with schizophrenia had significantly higher plasma Cu concentrations compared with controls (0.97?±?0.31 vs. 0.77?±?0.32 mg/L, p?=?0.001). The plasma Cu concentration showed a positive correlation with plasma glucose and diastolic blood pressure in the patient groups (r s ?=?0.263, p?<?0.05 and r s ?=?0.272, p?<?0.05, respectively). The plasma Se level correlated positive with MetS score (r s ?=?0.385, p?<?0.01), waist circumference (r s ?=?0.344, p?<?0.05), plasma glucose (r s ?=?0.319, p?<?0.05), and triglyceride concentrations (r s ?=?0.462, p?<?0.001) in patients with schizophrenia. Plasma Zn did not correlate with any of the MetS components. These results suggest that alterations in plasma Cu and Se levels in medicated patients with schizophrenia could be associated with metabolic risk factors.  相似文献

Abstract

Background: Coronary heart disease (CHD) is a chronic inflammatory disease, which is still regarded as a major cause of morbidity and mortality worldwide. Several studies have suggested that polymorphisms in cytokine genes are associated with the pathogenesis of CHD. The genotype distribution of Tumor necrosis factor alpha (TNF-α) and interferon gamma (IFN-γ) genes polymorphisms have been shown to be different in various ethnic populations. This study was aimed to investigate the association of TNF-α-308?G/A and IFN-γ?+?874T/A polymorphisms with risk of CHD in an Iranian population.

Methods: A total of 187 unrelated subjects comprised 96 CHD patients and 91 healthy controls were enrolled in this cross-sectional study. The TNF-α-308?G/A and IFN-γ?+?874T/A polymorphisms were genotyped using amplification refractory mutation system-PCR (ARMS-PCR). The chi-square and logistic regression tests were used to calculate the odds ratios (ORs) as a measure of differences in genotype frequencies.

Results: A significant differences in the allelic and genotypic distribution of TNF-α-308?G/A and IFN-γ?+?874T/A polymorphisms was found between CHD patients and healthy controls (P?=?0.017, P?=?0.011, P?=?0.006 and P?=?0.002, respectively). Logistic regression analyses were also revealed statistically significant risk for CHD with respect to TNF-α-308?A and IFN-γ?+?874?T carriers either in crude or after adjustment for potential confounders (P?=?0.003 and P?=?0.006, respectively).

Conclusion: This study provides strong evidence supporting the association of TNF-α-308G/A and IFN-γ?+?874T/A polymorphisms with the increased risk of CHD. Therefore, these two cytokine polymorphisms may play a role in predisposition to coronary heart disease.  相似文献
