The effect of lactoperoxidase (LPO) on dextran sulfate sodium-induced colitis was examined in mice. After 9 d of colitis induction, weight loss, colon shortening, and the histological score were significantly suppressed in mice orally administered LPO (62.5 mg/body/d) as compared to a group administered bovine serum albumin. These results suggest that LPO exhibits anti-inflammatory effects in the gastrointestinal tract. 相似文献

Linoleic acid, and its hydroperoxides and secondary autoxidation products were orally administered to rats (400 mg/rat). Their effects on hepatic lipid metabolism were examined. Linoleic acid reduced the activities of de novo synthesis of fatty acids and acetyl-CoA carboxylase. It decreased the CoASH level and caused the accumulation of long-chain acyl-CoA. Hydroperoxides changed the compositions of unsaturated fatty acids in the hepatic lipids and lowered the content of neutral lipids. Secondary products stimulated carnitine palmitoyltransferase and decreased the content of neutral lipids. They reduced the activities of de novo synthesis of fatty acids and acetyl-CoA carboxylase, and the levels of CoASH and acetyl-CoA. Thus, the effect of secondary products was apparently different from those of linoleic acid and its hydroperoxides. 相似文献

为考察铁皮石斛多糖对高脂饮食小鼠肠黏膜屏障的影响,采用水提醇沉法提取铁皮石斛多糖,联合高脂饲料给予小鼠8周后观察肠黏膜结构及肠黏膜菌群的变化。结果显示高脂饮食显著破坏了肠黏膜结构,表现为肠黏膜萎缩,上皮细胞脱落并伴有炎性渗出,Corynebacterium_1及Staphylococcus等与感染及炎症相关的菌属大量增殖。铁皮石斛多糖对肠黏膜结构有较好的保护作用,并可减少Corynebacterium_1的丰度,同时提高肠黏膜共生菌Candidatus_Arthromitus的丰度,促进了Muribaculaceae、Bacteroides、Lachnospiraceae_NK4A136_group等碳水化合物代谢、短链脂肪酸产生相关菌的增殖。研究表明铁皮石斛多糖对肠黏膜屏障的保护作用或与其维持肠黏膜结构完整,调节肠黏膜菌群组成及促进碳水化合物代谢,生成短链脂肪酸有关。 相似文献

Effects of soil pH and nitrogen fertility on the population dynamics of Thielaviopsis basicola 总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1
Black root rot of tobacco, caused by Thielaviopsis basicola, is generally severe at soil pH values >5.6 and suppressed under more acidic conditions (pH < 5.2). Soil acidifying fertilizers containing NH4–N are generally recommended for burley tobacco production in North Carolina, but the effects of N form and application rate on development of black root rot and on the population dynamics of T. basicola have not been determined. Greenhouse and laboratory studies were conducted to evaluate the effects of N form (NH4
+ or NO3
–) and rate on pathogen and disease parameters at several initial soil pH levels. A moderately-conducive field soil, initial pH 4.7, was adjusted to a pH of 5.5 or 6.5 by the addition of CaOH2, then amended with the desired nitrogen form and rate. Pathogen populations were determined over time. In addition, spore production in extracts of roots from plants grown in the various nitrogen and pH treatments was determined. Finally, because tobacco responds to acidic soil conditions and exposure to NH4–N by accumulating high concentrations of the polyamine putrescine, the toxicity of putrescine on vegetative growth and reproduction of T. basicola was investigated. Low soil pH and high levels of NH4–N suppressed reproduction of T. basicola in soil and in root extract, while use of NO3–N and depletion of NH4–N resulted in rapid increases in populations of T. basicola. At 20 mM, putrescine inhibited hyphal growth by 60% and aleuriospore production by 98%. Fertilizers that reduced soil pH also reduced reproduction by T. basicola, and thus have potential for management of black root rot by suppressing populations of T. basicola over multiple years of crop production. The suppression of T. basicola and black root rot observed with NH4–N amendments may partially be due to development of an inhibitory environment in the root and not solely to changes in rhizosphere pH. 相似文献

Sclerotinia stem rot (Sclerotinia sclerotiorum Lib. De Bary) is one of the most destructive fungal diseases on canola (Brassica napus L.). The effect of a foliar fertilizer containing 3% boron (Active Flower™ [AF]) in reducing disease severity was evaluated. AF at 0.1, 0.3 and 0.5 ml/100 ml was first tested for growth inhibition of S. sclerotiorum in potato dextrose broth. Growth was reduced at 0.5 ml/100 ml by around 90%. Boric acid (BA), an important component of AF, was tested against fungal growth at 10 ml/L, and no significant effect (p = .05) was found. Foliar applications of AF and AF formulation that did not contain boron at 0.1, 0.3 and 0.5 ml/100 ml were made weekly to canola ‘Westar’ grown under greenhouse conditions. Treatments were also made with BA at 10 ml/L to canola plants. After four applications, AF at 0.5 ml/100 ml and BA at 10 ml/L enhanced boron levels in leaves by fivefold and threefold, respectively, compared with the control. Lesion size of S. sclerotiorum on detached leaves was significantly (p < .05) reduced by AF at 0.5 ml/100 ml, but lesion size was not reduced on AFWB-treated leaves. Experiments were repeated twice with the same results. Levels of phenolic compounds in leaves treated with 0.5 ml/100 ml AF were enhanced by twofold compared with the control. There were no significant differences in lignin, peroxidase (POD) or polyphenoloxidase (PPO) between the control and AF treatments. These results suggest that enhanced boron levels in canola leaves were associated with a suppressive effect on disease due to S. sclerotiorum. 相似文献

目的:研究电针对于SAMP8模型小鼠海马区早老蛋白1(presenilian 1,PS1)表达的影响,探讨电针治疗阿尔兹海默病(AD)的作用机制。方法:将20只SAMP8小鼠(早老化小鼠)随机分为模型对照组、电针治疗组,每组10只;10只SAMR1小鼠(正常老化小鼠)组成正常对照组。正常对照组和模型对照组正常饲养15天,在电针治疗组治疗时抓取束缚一次,不做任何治疗;电针治疗组每天治疗前抓取束缚之后再进行电针治疗,治疗穴位选取"百会"、"印堂"、"人中"三穴,频率2 Hz,电流强度以小鼠头部微颤为宜,留针20 min,每日1次,共15天。电针治疗结束后,通过Morris水迷宫实验观察小鼠的行为学变化;通过免疫组化观察SAMP8小鼠海马区PS1蛋白表达情况;通过Western blot方法检测各组海马区的PS1蛋白表达水平。结果:行为学中Morris水迷宫检测显示:模型组与正常对照组比较逃避潜伏时增加,空间探索实验穿越平台次数和平台象限游泳时间明显减少(P0.05,P0.01);电针治疗组逃避潜伏时明显减少,空间探索实验穿越平台次数和平台象限游泳时间明显增加(P0.05);免疫组化观察各组海马区PS1蛋白表达,电针治疗组较模型组明显降低;Western blot结果显示PS1蛋白在海马区表达水平,模型组高于正常对照组(P0.01),而电针治疗组低于模型组(P0.01)。结论:电针可以改善小鼠的学习记忆能力,而且电针治疗组海马区PS1蛋白含量明显低于模型组,电针治疗可能参与减弱PS1蛋白的表达,降低Aβ水平,对于AD治疗有益。 相似文献

目的初步探讨溶酶体抑制剂对小鼠行为学及多巴胺神经元功能的影响。方法于小鼠右侧中脑黑质(SN)区,立体定向微量注入溶酶体抑制剂和蛋白酶体抑制剂。观察阿朴吗啡诱导的小鼠旋转行为改变以及行为学变化;检测黑质区酪氨酸羟化酶(TH)阳性细胞数。结果阿朴吗啡未能诱导出小鼠旋转行为。蛋白酶体抑制剂组为10~15圈。多巴胺损害程度与溶酶体的剂量相关。磷酸氯喹25μmol/L时多巴胺神经元几乎没有损害作用;50μmol/L时局部区域多巴胺神经元有轻微损害;100μmol/L时损害明显;200μmol/L时黑质区注射局部神经元损害最严重,黑质注射区未见有神经元存在。1~4周呈现出较为明显逐渐恢复的特点。结论溶酶体功能抑制与多巴胺神经元凋亡相关,不同剂量溶酶体抑制剂在不同时间对多巴胺神经功能的损害不同。 相似文献

Microplot and small field-plot experiments were conducted to determine the effects of Pratylenchus penetrans on strawberry yield over several seasons and to evaluate the effects of nematode control on strawberry vigor and yield. Pratylenchus penetrans alone or in combination with the black root rot pathogen, Rhizoctonia fragariae, reduced strawberry yield in microplots over time. There were no differences in effects on yield among R. fragariae anastomosis groups A, G, or I. The interaction of the two pathogens appeared to be additive rather than synergistic. In field plots infested with P. penetrans alone, plant vigor and yield were increased by the application of carbofuran and fenamiphos nematicides. Nematode control was transitory, as P. penetrans populations were initially suppressed but were not different in samples taken 10 months after treatment. These data highlight the error in associating causality between plant damage and nematode populations based on a correlation of root disease with nematode diagnostic assays from severely diseased plants. These findings may help to explain how nematode numbers can sometimes be higher in healthy plants than in severely diseased plants that lack sufficient roots to maintain nematode populations. Because nematode populations from up to a year before harvest are better correlated with berry yield, preplant nematode diagnostic assays taken a year in advance of harvest may be superior in predicting damage to perennial strawberry yield. 相似文献

A disease complex involving Meloidogyne incognita and Rhizoctonia solani was associated with stunting of grapevines in a field nursery. Nematode reproduction was occurring on both susceptible and resistant cultivars, and pot experiments were conducted to determine the virulence of this M. incognita population, and of M. javanica and M. hapla populations, to V. vinifera cv. Colombard (susceptible) and to V. champinii cv. Ramsey (regarded locally as highly resistant). The virulence of R. solani isolates obtained from roots of diseased grapevines also was determined both alone and in combination with M. incognita. Ramsey was susceptible to M. incognita (reproduction ratio 9.8 to 18.4 in a shadehouse and heated glasshouse, respectively) but was resistant to M. javanica and M. hapla. Colombard was susceptible to M. incognita (reproduction ratio 24.3 and 41.3, respectively) and M. javanica. Shoot growth was suppressed (by 35%) by M. incognita and, to a lesser extent, by M. hapla. Colombard roots were more severely galled than Ramsey roots by all three species, and nematode reproduction was higher on Colombard. Isolates of R. solani assigned to putative anastomosis groups 2-1 and 4, and an unidentified isolate, colonized and induced rotting of grapevine roots. Ramsey was more susceptible to root rotting than Colombard. Shoot growth was inhibited by up to 15% by several AG 4 isolates and by 20% by the AG 2-1 isolate. AG 4 isolates varied in their virulence. Root rotting was higher when grapevines were inoculated with both M. incognita and R. solani and was highest when nematode inoculation preceded the fungus. Shoot weights were lower when vines were inoculated with the nematode 13 days before the fungus compared with inoculation with both the nematode and the fungus on the same day. It was concluded that both the M. incognita population and some R. solani isolates were virulent against both Colombard and Ramsey, and that measures to prevent spread in nursery stock were therefore important. 相似文献
