Investigation of the plant growth inhibitory activity of the extract of the liverwort, Conocephalum conicum afforded five sesquiterpene lactones, tulipinolide, zaluzanin C, zaluzanin D, 8α-acetoxyzaluzanin C and 8α-acetoxy-zaluzanin D. The latter two compounds are reported for the first time. Tulipinolide is responsible for the characteristic pungency of the female gametophyte of C. conicum. The guaianolides showed inhibitory activity toward the germination and growth of roots of rice in the husk. The male gametophyte of C. conicum indicated no pungency, showing the lack of tulipinolide.  相似文献

The aerial parts of Gochnatia vernonioides afforded, in addition to dehydrocostus lactone, zaluzanin C and desacetyllaurenobiolide angelate, 14 further sesquiterpene lactones, ten 8, 12-and three 6,12-germacranolides as well as one eudesmanolide and three bisabolene derivatives. The structures were elucidated by spectroscopic methods and by comparing the data with those of closely related compounds. 8α-Angeloyloxytaraxic acid underwent an unusual autocatalysed cyclisation while the usual Cope rearrangement was not observed.  相似文献

Chemical investigation of Inula indica has yielded a new germacranolide, 1β,10α-epoxy-2α,9β-dihydroxy-5β-acetoxy-6α(2-methylbutyryloxy)-germacran-8α,12-olide, whose structure and stereochemistry have been established from the spectral characteristics of the compound and its derivatives.  相似文献

In addition to the known sesquiterpene lactone pinnatifidin, and the flavones 6-methoxyacacetin and 6-methoxyapigenin, the dichloromethane extract of the aerial parts of Decachaeta ovatifolia afforded four new sesquiterpene lactones: a germacranolide 7α-hydroxycostunolide, a guaianolide 4α,15-dihydro-7α-hydroxy-3-desoxyzaluzanin C and two eudesmanolides, 7α-hydroxysantamarine and 7α-hydroxyreynosin. Chemical analysis of Calea leptocephala yielded seven sesquiterpene lactones three of which had not been previously reported as natural products. The new compounds were represented by a furanoheliangolide, 8β-angeloyloxy-9α-acetoxycalyculatolide, the germacranolide desacetylcalein A, and a guaianolide, 8β-angeloyloxyleptocephalide. Three germacranolide sesquitepene lactones (argophyllin-A and -B and eupatolide), three diterpenoids (ciliaric acid, (?)-16-α-hydroxy-kaur-11-en-19-oic acid and (?)-16-α-hydroxykaurane) and one flavonoid (nevadensin) were isolated and characterized from a chloroform extract of Helianthus argophyllus. Argophyllin-A and -B are both described here for the first time. Their structures were deduced by 1H NMR and 13C NMR. Argophyllin-A and -B were found to show anti-auxin effects while eupatolide exhibited weak insecticidal activity.  相似文献

Dwarf bamboo is an ecologically and economically important forest resource that is widespread in mountainous regions of eastern Asia and southern America. Fargesia denudata, one of the most important dwarf bamboos, is a staple food of the giant panda, but our knowledge about how F. denudata copes with drought stress is very limited. The objective of this study was to determine the responses of carbon (C) and nitrogen (N) metabolism to drought in leaves and roots of F. denudata plants. Plants were subjected to three water treatments, well-watered [WW, 85 % relative soil water content (RSWC)], moderate drought (MD, 50 % RSWC), and severe drought (SD, 30 % RSWC), for two consecutive years during the sprouting period. Plant growth parameters, levels of carbohydrates and N compounds, and activities of key enzymes involved in C and N metabolism were analyzed. In young leaves, C metabolism was in balance after drought stress, but nitrate (NO3 ?) reduction and ammonium (NH4 +) assimilation were accelerated. In old leaves, drought stress decreased carbohydrate contents by spurring the activities of the main enzymes that participate in C metabolism, whereas N metabolism was enhanced only under SD. Roots showed unchanged C metabolism parameters under MD, together with stable NO3 ? reduction and the key enzymes related to NH4 + assimilation, whereas they were stimulated by SD. Hydrolysates of carbohydrates in old leaves could be transferred into roots, but only to meet MD. Meanwhile, roots could allocate more N nutrition to young leaves and less to old leaves. These changes regulated the overall metabolic balance of F. denudata. Consequently, the results indicate that different organs with various response strategies will be well adapted to different drought intensities for ensuring regular growth of F. denudata plants at the whole-plant level.  相似文献

The aerial parts of Liatris spicata gave 1α-hydroxybacchotricuneatin A and a guaianolide, which may be the precursor of spicatin. Two new guaianolides have been isolated from Saussurea lappa as minor components and have been named isodehydrocostus lactone and isozaluzanin C. A structure has been assigned to isodehydrocostus lactone on the basis of spectral data and correlation with estafiatin. The 1H NMR data and dehydrogenation studies show that the other highly crystalline guaianolide is isomeric with zaluzanin C. Earlier 3β-H-zaluzanin C has however been reported to occur as a colourless oil.  相似文献

In northern China, freezing injury is observed frequently in the rare species Magnolia wufengensis but not in the more common species Magnolia denudata. To investigate the role of the phytohormone abscisic acid (ABA) on frost tolerance in these two species, exogenous ABA was applied to the seedlings and then physiological and biochemical responses were measured during cold acclimation. Shoot growth cessation was stimulated by ABA in M. wufengensis but not in M. denudata. Abscisic acid inhibited shoot growth in M. wufengensis but not in M. denudata. Treatment with ABA stimulated leaf senescence in both species, and this effect was greater in M. denudata. For both species, ABA-treated plants exhibited bud dormancy sooner and had an increased tolerance to freezing, decreased water content and increased accumulation of proline, glucose, and fructose in shoots. These effects were generally greater for M. denudata. Freezing tolerance was significantly correlated with content of water, proline, glucose, and fructose for both species, but freezing tolerance was significantly correlated with raffinose content only in M. wufengensis. We conclude that exogenous ABA could increase cold acclimation and improve cold hardiness of both Magnolia species, although M. denudata was more responsive to ABA than M. wufengensis, which might result from a greater dehydration and accumulation of proline and certain soluble sugars.  相似文献

Two new guaiane-type sesquiterpene dilactones, porelladiolide and 3α,4α-epoxyporelladiolide and a new germacranolide, 3β-hydroxycostunolide, together with the previously known germacranolides, guaianolides, pinguisane-type sesquiterpenes, and a sacculatane-type diterpene dialdehyde have been isolated from the liverwort, Porella japonica and their structures have been established by the spectral evidence and some chemical transformations. Re-investigation of Wunderlichia mirabilis afforded three new modified eudesmanolides of the same type isolated previously from an Onoseris species, and minute amounts of a germacranolide for which a structure only could be proposed. Actinoseris polymorpha also contained a new germacranolide, the angetate of desacetyllaurenobiolide. Structures were elucidated by spectroscopic methods and by some chemical transformations. We performed molecular phylogenetic analyses of four morphotypes of the benthic foraminiferal genus Bulimina (B. aculeata, B. marginata f. marginata, B. marginata f. denudata, and B. elongata) based on sequences of internal transcribed spacer region of ribosomal DNA (ITS rDNA). Six genetically distinct phylotypes were revealed by our phylogenetic analyses. The six phylotypes basically correspond to the fundamental morphotypes: clades A + B (B. aculeata); clade C (B. elongata); clade D (B. marginata f. denudata); clade E (B. marginata f. marginata genotype 1); and clade F (B. marginata f. marginata genotype 2). All six phylotypes are well distinguished, except phylotype B, which shows only little sequence divergence compared to clade A, possibly indicating that genetic differentiation is in progress. Morphological characters including the direction, placement, and shape of spines, the angle of undercutting of chamber periphery, and the roundness of the chambers were stable among specimens of each clade. In contrast, the length and density of spines, and chamber size, were variable within each clade. These intermediate morphological characters may reflect ecophenotypic variation. Our study clearly shows that the examined B. acuelata, elongata, and denudata morphospecies are genetically separated and that B. marginata is a species complex comprising several genotypes. A novel phylotype represent different morphotype compare to B. marginata f. marginata that can be distinguished based on differences of chamber angularity, the direction, placement, and shape of spines, and test dimensions.  相似文献

Magnolia denudata var. glabrata Y. L. Wang et S. Z. Zhang var. nov. is described and illustrated from Hunan, China. The variety occurs mainly in semi‐evergreen forest of south Hunan at altitudes between 700 and 1260 m a.s.l. It differs from M. denudata var. denudata by its green and glabrous twigs and leaves which are glabrous above and have some white pubescence underneath. With its white flowers consisting of mostly 9 tepals, it differs from M. sprengeri Pamp. which mainly has 12 tepals in various shades of red/pink to white. The new variety is rare and considered endangered due to habitat destruction.  相似文献

The plant diastereoisomeric diterpenes ent-pimara-8(14)-15-dien-19-oic acid, obtained from Viguiera arenaria, and isopimara-8(14)-15-dien-18-oic acid, isolated from Cupressus lusitanica, were distinctly functionalized by the enzymes produced in whole cell cultures of the fungus Preussia minima, isolated from surface sterilized stems of C. lusitanica. The ent-pimaradienoic acid was transformed into the known 7β-hydroxy-ent-pimara-8(14)-15-dien-19-oic acid, and into the novel diterpenes 7-oxo-8 β-hydroxy-ent-pimara-8(14)-15-dien-19-oic and 7-oxo-9β-hydroxy-ent-pimara-8(14)-15-dien-19-oic acids. Isopimara-8(14)-15-dien-18-oic acid was converted into novel diterpenes 11α-hydroxyisopimara-8(14)-15-dien-18-oic acid, 7β,11α-dihydroxyisopimara-8(14)-15-dien-18-oic acid, and 1β,11α-dihydroxyisopimara-8(14)-15-dien-18-oic acid, along with the known 7β-hydroxyisopimara-8(14)-15-dien-18-oic acid. All compounds were isolated and fully characterized by 1D and 2D NMR, especially 13C NMR. The diterpene bioproduct 7-oxo-9β-hydroxy-ent-pimara-8(14)-15-dien-19-oic acid is an isomer of sphaeropsidin C, a phytotoxin that affects cypress trees produced by Shaeropsis sapinea, one of the main phytopathogen of Cupressus. The differential metabolism of the diterpene isomers used as substrates for biotransformation was interpreted with the help of computational molecular docking calculations, considering as target enzymes those of cytochrome P450 group.  相似文献

Four lanostane triterpenes, 3,7,11-trioxo-5α-lanosta-8,24(E)-dien-26-oic acid, methyl 11α-3,7-dioxo-5α-lanosta-8,24(E)-dien-26-oate, methyl 3,7,11,12,15,23-hexaoxo-5α-lanost-8-en-26-oate, and ethyl 3,7,11,12,15,23-hexaoxo-5α-lanost-8-en-26-oate, two sterols, (14α,22E)-14-hydroxyergosta-7,22-diene-3,6-dione and a steroid named as camphosterol A were isolated from a mixture of fruiting bodies and mycelia of solid cultures of Antrodia camphorata. The 1H and 13C NMR spectra of all compounds were fully assigned using a combination of 2D NMR experiments, including COSY, HMQC, HMBC and NOESY sequences. Six compounds were evaluated for cytotoxicity against several human tumor cell lines, all of which has moderate activity.  相似文献
