间种牧草枣林刈草对树上昆虫群落结构及动态的影响   总被引:6,自引:0,他引:6  
为了有效地管理枣树害虫,2004年在太谷地区间种牧草枣林,运用物种丰富度、多样性与相对丰盛度指数作为多样性分析的综合指标,系统地研究不同刈草次数对树上昆虫群落结构及动态的影响,结果表明:刈草对害虫亚群落的物种数的影响较小,对天敌亚群落与中性昆虫的物种数影响较大,随着刈割次数的增加,昆虫群落各类群的多样性与相对丰盛度指数的时序变化凸现明显的差异与规律性,且受刈割次数的影响较大,当6月上旬进行第1次刈割后,对昆虫群落的结构动态影响明显,但很快即可得到恢复,当7月中旬实施第2次刈割后,对害虫亚群落物种数影响较小,但对天敌亚群落与中性昆虫的物种数影响较大,并且对昆虫群落的多样性与相对丰盛度的影响较为明显,这种影响待枣果采收后才逐渐得到恢复,因此刈割后应对枣树害虫及时给予管理。  相似文献

针对目前关于植物群落功能性状构建模式及其驱动因素存在的争议, 研究了33个物种10个功能性状的构建模式。研究结果显示: (1)在刈割-施肥复合梯度上, 这些功能性状主要表现为随机构建模式, 发生随机性和确定性构建的样方比例分别为82.7%和17.3%; (2)在10个功能性状中, 生长型、生活周期、单株地上干质量、叶面积和叶干质量5个功能性状为随机构建模式, 不受试验处理和群落特征(地上净初级生产力、刈割生物量损失、群落高度)变化的影响。植物倾斜度、繁殖方式、固氮性、株高和比叶面积5个功能性状的构建模式与试验处理或群落特征变化有关, 表现出趋同或趋异构建响应。其中, 植物倾斜度和比叶面积的构建模式仅受群落特征影响, 而固氮性、繁殖方式和株高3个性状的构建模式同时还受刈割或施肥处理的影响, 其构建模式因功能性状而异; (3)群落的生物量损失和地上净初级生产力是解释植物功能性状构建模式变化较理想的群落特征; (4)刈割和施肥处理对株高的构建模式具有相反效应, 而刈割和施肥的交互作用对其无显著影响。上述结果说明该研究群落植物功能性状的构建存在不同模式, 以随机构建模式为主, 确定性构建模式居次要地位。确定性构建模式与试验处理和群落特征变化有关, 而且是性状依赖的。相反选择力对趋同和趋异构建模式的平衡效应能引起功能性状发生随机构建。  相似文献

Urban lawns provide space for recreation in cities, and they are an important part of urban green infrastructures. However, most lawns are intensively managed. As only few plant species can survive frequent mowing, urban lawns typically harbor only a limited number of plant species. To improve the biodiversity of urban lawns, it is often suggested to reduce the mowing frequency. Here, we studied the plant diversity of urban grasslands that have recently undergone management changes from mowing every few weeks to mowing only once or twice per season and compared them to intensively managed lawns. Within six years after the management changes, the grasslands with reduced mowing frequency hosted 30% more plant species than intensively managed lawns, and they were more heterogeneous both within and between grasslands. Additionally, the species composition of less frequently mown grasslands shifted from common mowing-tolerant lawn species to typical meadow species. Our study thus shows that the reduction of mowing is a simple and effective tool for increasing the biodiversity in urban grasslands.  相似文献

该研究比较了在5月份实施刈割加不同程度遮荫处理后,互花米草地上部分和地下根茎6个月内的生长与死亡状况。结果表明:(1)单纯刈割处理在前2个月显著降低互花米草株高和生物量等生长指标(P0.05),随后地上部分生长和开花特征逐渐恢复并接近对照水平;而地下根茎存活率一直呈下降趋势;(2)刈割后加不同程度遮荫处理均可以有效抑制互花米草的生长并导致植株死亡,抑制效果显著高于单纯刈割的处理(P0.05),且遮荫程度越高抑制作用越明显。(3)刈割后加1层遮荫、2层遮荫和3层遮荫处理的平均透光率分别为15.27%、2.29%和0.31%,分别于11月份、7月份和7月份时导致互花米草地上部分全部死亡,至11月份时地下根茎存活率分别为3.68%、2.09%和1.70%,接近全部死亡。综合考虑治理费用、治理所需时间和治理效果,刈割后加1层遮荫是经济、有效的控制互花米草的方法。  相似文献

2014—2018年8月在内蒙古锡林郭勒盟毛登牧场大针茅典型草原,以围封为对照,设置2、5和8 cm 3个刈割留茬高度,研究刈割留茬高度对群落结构及稳定性的影响。结果表明: 群落中共出现15科23属27种植物;优势种为大针茅、知母、羊草及糙隐子草,累计相对重要值为76.1%。多年生杂类草15种,一、二年生植物5种,多年生丛生禾草和灌木半灌木植物各有3种,多年生根茎禾草有1种。大针茅等处于群落上层;知母、羊草等植物处于群落中层;糙隐子草、刺穗藜、猪毛菜等植物处于群落底层。刈割造成大针茅及多年生丛生禾草相对重要值降低,使得糙隐子草、刺穗藜、猪毛菜及一、二年生植物相对重要值增加。留茬2 cm降低羊草相对重要值,而留茬5、8 cm使其增加;留茬5 cm增加知母相对重要值,而留茬2、8 cm使其降低;留茬8 cm降低杂类草相对重要值,而留茬2、5 cm使其增加。物种及功能群多样性年度间差异显著。总体上,刈割对物种丰富度无显著影响,对其物种多样性影响较小,但对功能群多样性存在一定影响。表明在刈割过程中,群落各功能群存在一定的补偿作用,使得群落保持相对稳定。刈割使群落稳定性增加,留茬5和8 cm时群落稳定性较大;留茬5 cm时群落变异性较大,而留茬8 cm时最小。留茬8 cm时群落稳定性高且变异性小,能促进群落长期稳定。  相似文献

城市绿化草坪的管理有许多尚待解决的问题。本文对绿化草坪进行了刈割和拔除杂草的实验处理,分析了刈割和拔除杂草对草坪生长的影响。结果表明,用刈割的方法管理草坪比用拔除杂草的方法管理更能防止其它杂草的生长,有利于优势草种的生长以及维持草坪的平整和美观,最终在草坪管理中节省人力和物力,并就城市草坪的管理问题提几点建议。  相似文献

Mowing and management to reduce nutrient levels have often been successfully used to restore species‐rich grasslands in various parts of Europe. However, such treatments have failed to restore the species‐rich Central European mountain grasslands dominated by Polygonum bistorta. P. bistorta builds an extensive underground rhizome system that monopolizes available nutrients in these nutrient‐poor grasslands, enabling this species to persist at high densities even in the presence of mowing. Therefore, we tested a restoration approach using a factorial combination of fertilization and mowing, as well as a litter removal treatment. The experiment was run over 5 years and species composition response to these treatments was recorded at two spatial scales. Mowing suppressed flowering and cover of P. bistorta and promoted target grassland species and richness. Fertilization prevented nutrient impoverishment and increased height and dominance of the broad‐leaved grasses with which many species‐rich grassland herbs could coexist. The additive effect of the mowing/fertilization treatments was strong enough to act as a driver of P. bistorta suppression and associated community change. The litter removal treatment, however, had little effect on plant composition. The experiment demonstrates that in nutrient‐limited grasslands, increasing nutrient levels in addition to mowing to manage competition for light can be used to control dominants. This contrasts with restoration of systems where after abandonment increased nutrient levels lead to the establishment of tall dominants that suppress other species by competition for light.  相似文献

Abstract

Various turf management activities may influence weed population dynamics and interfere with weed control. The effects of a biocontrol agent, Sclerotinia minor, a chemical herbicide, Killex?, and mowing height on broadleaf weed dynamics were examined in two turfgrass stands for two consecutive years. Mowing did not reduce the population densities of dandelion or the ground cover of broadleaf weeds. In the second year, mowing significantly reduced white clover density, but significantly increased broadleaf plantain density, particularly at the closest mowing height (3–5 cm). Apart from the close height, the S. minor and Killex? treatments were equally effective in suppression of dandelion, white clover, broadleaf plantain, and prostrate knotweed in the second year. Common mallow increased in the herbicide treated plots and other species including yellow woodsorrel, yellow toadflax and lambsquarters increased in abundance in plots mowed at the 3–5 cm height and in plots treated with Killex?. Significant differences between the Killex? and S. minor treatments on dandelion population dynamics were rarely present and did not favour either treatment. S. minor did not damage the turfgrass, but Killex? reduced turf quality in 25% of the plots. The application of S. minor with a regular, medium height (~7 cm) mowing regime was highly effective in controlling broadleaf weeds in temperate Kentucky bluegrass turf.  相似文献

Abstract 1. The spatial distribution pattern of forest‐dwelling drosophilid flies was compared among species and among four forests with markedly different vertical foliage structures, including secondary and primary forests, with special reference to vertical stratification. 2. All 20 drosophilid species analysed showed vertically stratified distribution patterns, which were detected statistically in at least one forest site during the 2‐year study period. As a whole, the vertical distribution patterns were stable, with or without stratification, over the 2 years. 3. The ratio of species with stratified distribution to the total number of species changed in a similar trend with the vertical foliage complexity of forests, both showing a large gap between secondary and primary forests, even for species common to all four forests. 4. Many species, most of which were tree‐sap feeders, showed highly predictable patterns of vertical stratification across forests and years. This was associated strongly with regular preference for microhabitat, mostly for the canopy, suggesting that the unvarying nature of canopy environments in any forest is very important in producing, maintaining, and promoting the vertical stratification in organism abundance, and contributes to the ubiquity of the pattern. 5. Some species with a wider range of food resources than other species, most of which showed no clear preference for the canopy, were characterised by large between‐forest differences in vertical distribution patterns and tended to show non‐stratified patterns in secondary forests, contributing to the lower ratio of species with stratified distribution in the two secondary forests than in the primary forests. 6. The role of forest structure in organising the environment is discussed; it is suggested that vertical complexity of foliage structure affects the prevalence of vertical stratification in animal communities indirectly through the vertical heterogeneity of environmental conditions.  相似文献

Cessation of traditional management threatens semi‐natural grassland diversity through the colonisation or increase of competitive species adapted to nutrient‐poor conditions. Regular mowing is one practice that controls their abundance. This study evaluated the ecophysiological mechanisms limiting short‐ and long‐term recovery after mowing for Festuca paniculata, a competitive grass that takes over subalpine grasslands in the Alps following cessation of mowing. We quantified temporal variations in carbon (C) and nitrogen (N) content, starch, fructan and total soluble sugars in leaves, stem bases and roots of F. paniculata during one growth cycle in mown and unmown fields and related them to the dynamics of soil mineral N concentration and soil moisture. Short‐term results suggest that the regrowth of F. paniculata following mowing might be N‐limited, first because of N dilution by C increments in the plant tissue, and second, due to low soil mineral N and soil moisture at this time of year. However, despite short‐term effects of mowing on plant growth, C and N content and concentration at the beginning of the following growing season were not affected. Nevertheless, total biomass accumulation at peak standing biomass was largely reduced compared to unmown fields. Moreover, lower C storage capacity at the end of the growing season impacted C allocation to vegetative reproduction during winter, thereby dramatically limiting the horizontal growth of F. paniculata tussocks in the long term. We conclude that mowing reduces the growth of F. paniculata tussocks through both C and N limitation. Such results will help understanding how plant responses to defoliation regulate competitive interactions within plant communities.  相似文献

Many invasive species have short life cycles, high reproduction, and easily dispersed offspring that make them good ruderal species under disturbance. However, the tolerance of such ruderal species to disturbance is often overlooked. In a 2-year mowing study, we applied frequent intense disturbances to examine the tolerance of two congeneric invasive thistles, Carduus acanthoides and Carduus nutans, and potential differences in their responses. Our results show that both species can survive multiple mowing events, with C. acanthoides surviving repeated intense mowing through a whole season. Furthermore, C. acanthoides was found to adjust its growth form to the disturbance regime, and successfully overwintered and reproduced in the subsequent growing season if the disturbance was terminated. Our results support the idea that tolerance to disturbance should be considered when examining invasions by short-lived monocarpic species, since avoidance of disturbance via rapid life cycle completion and seed production, and tolerance of disturbance via regrowth can co-occur in these species. Consequently, management of short-lived invasives should take both life history strategies into account.  相似文献

在草原生态系统中,土壤是植物生长发育最重要的基质,对植物群落动态有显著的影响。刈割是内蒙古典型草原区除放牧外最重要的利用方式。研究不同刈割频度对典型草原区群落特征和若干土壤性质的影响及土壤因子与群落特征的相关性,旨在得出对群落多样性最有利并最适宜生产利用的刈割频度。研究区设置在内蒙古锡林浩特市东部以大针茅建群的典型草原;在2009—2013年进行不同频度的刈割处理,共设置处理,一年两次刈割、一年一次刈割、两年一次(割一年休一年)刈割、围封,在2013年8月采集测定土壤养分的样品。刈割对群落多样性影响显著,割一年休一年Shannon-Wiener多样性指数、Pielou均匀度指数、丰富度指数均高于其他刈割处理(P0.05);不同频度刈割下,一年两次刈割处理下土壤20—30cm和30—40cm的有机质含量显著高于其他处理(P0.05);不同频度刈割处理下土壤中的速效磷和速效氮的含量没有显著差异;一年两次处理的土壤全氮含量显著高于其他处理(P0.05)。Shannon-Wiener多样性指数与有机质含量、全氮含量呈显著负相关;Pielou均匀度指数与土壤元素间无显著相关关系;Richness指数与有机质含量呈显著负相关,与全氮含量为极显著负相关关系。割一年休一年刈割处理下土壤元素含量呈现更好的状态,结合群落物种多样性及生产利用的角度,割一年休一年为最合理的刈割频度。  相似文献

A population survey of insects was conducted at peach orchards in Okayama Prefecture, western Japan, every 2 weeks during May–October in 2011. Pitfall traps were used to sample more than 4000 insects at 10 orchards: 8 orchards where ground vegetation had been managed by mowing and 2 with management by herbicide application. Numbers of insect species (species richness) and numbers of insects captured in pitfall traps (trap catches) were greater after mowing. Details of the effects of mowing on insect communities were examined at four orchards that had been mowed. Results suggest that species richness and trap catches increase up to 5 days after mowing and then return to their original state. Increased species richness and trap catches were mainly attributable to the increase of ants (Formicidae) and carabids (Carabidae). These results suggest that ants and carabids actively seek prey animals that have been killed, injured, or damaged by mowing.  相似文献

Abstract. Limitation in the number of species that can coexist at a single point was examined by point-quadrat sampling of a lawn. Three treatments were examined: Control, Herbicide-treated to remove grasses, and Mechanically perturbed to remove all plants, with 10 replicates of each. The Control plots showed an almost constant degree of niche limitation, variance in richness between points being half that expected under the null model. The herbicided plots showed a significantly lesser degree of niche limitation for the first three months after herbiciding, even though the degree of plant overlap had already recovered by the first sampling time. Six weeks after mechanical perturbation, there was no evidence of niche limitation, but the extent of, and statistical evidence for, niche limitation increased until, 10 months after perturbation, community structure was as strong as in the Control.  相似文献

该文通过刈割和放牧样地的实生苗动态观测,试图揭示刈割和放牧干扰对冰草(Agropyron cristatum)、克氏针茅(Stipa krylovii)和糙隐子 草(Cleistogenes squarrosa )等 3种禾草实生苗出生、存活和死亡季节动态的影响,以及这种效应是如何受气温和降水影响的。利用有重复测 量的方差分析,比较了不同刈割留茬高度(0、5和15 cm)与放牧处理之间在实生苗密度、死亡率和出现率的时间动态方面的差异。结果表明:3 种禾草的实生苗密度自5月下旬至8月中旬一直呈增加态势。刈割在一定程度上抑制了克氏针茅的实生苗出现率,原因可能是相对高大的克氏针 茅在前一年刈割时会被去掉相当多的生殖部分,其种子数量必然受到影响,导致实生苗出现率的降低。同时,刈割对相对低矮的糙隐子草实生 苗有正向效应 ,即促进其实生苗的出现,可能的原因是刈割使植被高度降低、植被稀疏,植被冠层以下至地面的光照较好、地温较高,同时位 于下层的糙隐子草受到的高大植株的竞争压力减小。生长季早期和晚期实生苗死亡率较高,这与这两个时期的干旱和低温有关,而自6月中旬至 7月初之间的死亡率小高峰也是先前的干旱少雨导致的。3种禾草实生苗的大规模出现几乎都在5~7月,这与该时期相对适宜的气温、地温和水 分条件有关。对实生苗更新相关过程 (如种子萌发、休眠、种子库存量等)进行更加深入细致的研究,将进一步揭示种子生产和有性繁殖在群落 过程中的作用。  相似文献

A knowledge of diel variation and the vertical distribution of phytoplankton communities may contribute to a better understanding of the driving factors of key species. Applying functional-group classification provides important information on the causes of species selection in the pelagic community. The diel variation of phytoplankton functional groups was analysed during an autumnal stratification period with the aim of understanding their changes in the vertical position related to light, mixing regime and grazing pressure. Phytoplankton and zooplankton communities were sampled every 4 h during a 24-h period in a vertical profile in a subtropical meso-eutrophic reservoir. Strong stratification during a 24-h cycle and a mixed clear epilimnion with partial atelomixis marked the autumn season in the Faxinal reservoir, southern Brazil. The highest phytoplankton densities and biomass were found during the second part of the day, a general pattern reported in the literature, and may be explained by zooplankton dynamics. During the 24-h cycle, phytoplankton functional groups lacking a self-regulating capacity and those able to regulate their vertical position were vertically segregated in the lake. The diel behaviour of both groups was driven by the mixing regime (including atelomixis), light and zooplankton grazing pressure.  相似文献

Abstract. We studied the vertical structure of wet grazed grasslands in Tierra del Fuego (southern Argentina). A point quadrat method was developed using a fine needle graduated in cm. The vertical and horizontal frequency of species and organs was quantified in samples collected from non‐grazed and grazed plots in the field. There was vertical stratification in both types of samples, but only in the first eight cm above the ground in grazed samples, with a dominance of Caltha sagittata. In non‐grazed samples graminoids grew taller than forbs and their inflorescences were an important element of the canopy structure. In both treatments, vertical species diversity was maximum in the lower part of the canopy, although diversity was significantly higher in grazed pots. In grazed samples, Caltha sagittata was the dominant species in 46% of samples and its leaves occupied 35% of the upper canopy. In the non‐grazed samples, Hordeum pubiflorum and Festuca magellanica were dominant in 63% of the samples, with H. pubiflorum leaves occupying 55% of the upper canopy. Comparing species by pairs, significant differences in vertical position were maintained in non‐grazed versus grazed pots. It is concluded that vertical stratification occurs even in the shortest communities. In this community, forb species grew close to the ground in the grazed areas, while forbs grew in the gaps and grasses above them in the non‐grazed areas. The main differences were in the relative dominance of forb and grass species and the presence of inflorescences.  相似文献

We examined the changes of species‐rich herbaceous community canopy structure and species diversity in a five‐year field experiment. Above‐ and below‐ground resource addition (fertilization and additional illumination with the help of mirrors) and cessation of annual mowing were applied as experimental treatments in 24 permanent plots of 40×40 cm. Canopy structure was studied by point quadrat sampling using laser beam to randomly position point quadrats at two different angles of observation – 60° and 120° from horizontal, north‐south direction. We hypothezised that the studied plant community is not light‐limited under the normal conditions (non‐fertilized and annually mown) but would become light‐limited after nutrient addition and/or cessation of mowing. In this case the effect of fertilization and cessation of mowing could be mitigated by introducing additional light resource (placing south‐facing mirrors).
Species richness in plots was not significantly altered by experimental treatments, most probably because of a strong input of species from surrounding areas by the means of lateral vegetative spread, compensating for the expected decrease of diversity with fertilization and cessation of mowing. Surprisingly, plant total coverage in a plot was the only variable significantly explaining plot richness, independent of experimental treatments and the year of observation. We therefore studied also species richness per unit coverage (standardized richness) which appeared to be significantly reduced by fertilization. Annual change of plant total coverage of a plot was good predictor of annual change of plot richness, except for the exceptionally dry period (1994–1995). There was no indication of light being limiting for the plants in control plots, but light obviously became limiting after nutrient addition – in fertilized plots additional illumination lead to a notably denser canopy. Generally, the average exposition of plant leaves surface was towards the north, independent of experimental treatments. However, in the exceptionally cloudy and cool year 1996 the situation was radically different – leaves were exposed predominantly towards the south, indicating that multi‐species canopy can plastically react to long‐term changes in light availability.  相似文献

Grassland is a valuable habitat for many farmland bird species, some of which have declined in Europe. Successful management of this habitat is important to benefit these species. Recent studies have suggested little correlation between food abundance and bird use in grassland; instead providing access to food may be crucial. We tested the importance of manipulating sward height (via mowing) on the distribution of wintering birds in agriculturally managed grass fields using two within-field experimental designs. In experiment 1, we investigated the effect of two treatments (mown once and control). In experiment 2, we investigated the effects of four treatments (mown once early, mown once late, mown early and late, and control).Mown plots supported higher abundances of foraging kestrels, thrushes and starlings. In contrast meadow pipits and grey herons preferred unmown plots with longer grass. These differences are probably explained by differing anti-predation strategies, increased food abundance for species that prefer above-ground invertebrates (e.g. more food for meadow pipits on longer swards) and increased food accessibility on short grass swards (e.g. for starling, thrush spp.). There were limited effects of multiple mowing events on plot use suggesting one early winter mowing treatment may suffice to create favourable conditions for species that prefer shorter swards.Providing grassland heterogeneity should benefit a range of wintering farmland birds. Although we use mowing to change grass sward height, our findings may also apply at other times of year when livestock grazing may be a more practical solution.  相似文献

The dynamics of vegetation regeneration after burning were examined in three dry sclerophyll communities near Canberra, in south-eastern Australia. Changes in seedling and regrowth populations were followed in permanent quadrats during the first two years after burning, compared with both the preburn vegetation and population changes over the same period in adjacent, unburnt plots. All species represented either by living plants in the tree and shrub strata and/or by seed in the soil and litter prior to burning regenerated during the first year after the fire treatments. No new species invaded the areas after burning. Species varied in their regenerative strategy and recovered after the fires either by germination of seed residual in the soil and ash or released from trees after burning, by regrowth from surviving vegetative organs, or by a combination of germination and regrowth. Both seedling input and the vegetative recovery of populations were higher during the first than second year after burning. The vegetative multiplication and seed gertnination of many species were stimulated by fire. It was concluded that the regeneration of the communities studied, as well as the post-fire recovery of numerous different communities reported in the literature, closely resembled an initial floristic composition model. It is considered that the process of vegetation redevelopment after a disturbance (i.e. secondary succession) will be influenced greatly by the species composition at the time of disturbance, and by the type of disturbing agent. A single model would not be expected to adequately describe secondary succession following disturbance by agents imposing different stress conditions on a community.  相似文献
