广西是报春苣苔属植物的世界分布中心,特有种较多。该研究针对线叶报春苣苔(Primulina linearifolia)、条叶报春苣苔(P. ophiopogoides)、刺齿报春苣苔(P. spinulosa)、大根报春苣苔(P. macrorhiza)、线萼报春苣苔(P. linearicalyx)、癞叶报春苣苔(P. leprosa)、桂中报春苣苔(P. guizhongensis)、百寿报春苣苔(P. baishouensis),八种广西特有种的开花物候期、开花动态、子房发育情况、花粉活性等开花生物学特性进行了研究。结果表明:(1)八种广西特有报春苣苔属植物在野外及人工环境下部分种在花期、单株开花量、单花开放持续时间具有显著性差异。人工栽培植株在单株开花量、单花开放持续时间要优于野生植株。(2)不同物种的单花花期长短不同,为3~14 d。雄蕊在花蕾阶段已经基本完成生长。雌雄蕊成熟期不一致,雄蕊先于雌蕊成熟。(3)花冠半开放至完全打开阶段的花粉活性最高,均在90%以上。(4)花冠完全开放阶段的柱头可授性最强。(5)自花授粉不能结实,异花授粉可正常结实,自交种子发芽率在80%以上。综上结果不仅为解决珍稀物种的繁殖障碍和保存种质资源提供了数据支持,而且对后续提高报春苣苔属的杂交育种成功率具有重要意义。  相似文献

泛热带分布的苦苣苔科(Gesneriaceae)在我国南方具有极高的物种丰富度与特有率,花部特征变化丰富,是研究物种形成与适应演化的代表类群。镜像花(mirror-image flowers)是极为特化的传粉系统,在苦苣苔科中出现了较多的不同类型,可能与苦苣苔科物种多样性形成与维持有关。该研究总结与分析了苦苣苔科镜像花的类型多样性以及系统分布与适应演化等,讨论了镜像花对苦苣苔科物种形成与维持的积极意义。结果表明:镜像花仅分布在亚洲和非洲的苦苣苔亚科(Didymocarpoideae)的7个属,在历史上就至少发生了5次独立起源。长冠苣苔属(Rhabdothamnopsis)、南洋苣苔属(Henckelia)及长蒴苣苔属(Didymocarpus)镜像花的花柱与可育雄蕊分别向左、右两侧偏转,形成互补镜像花;蛛毛苣苔属(Paraboea)、喜鹊苣苔属(Ornithoboea)、非洲堇属(Saintpaulia)镜像花缺乏与花柱对应侧偏的可育雄蕊(非互补镜像花);而海角苣苔属(Streptocarpus)直立堇兰亚属(subg.Streptocarpella Engler)则同时出现了互补、非互补镜像花。不同于其他被子植物(离瓣花、缺乏花冠筒),苦苣苔科中的镜像花大多伴随着明显的花冠筒、内藏的雄蕊、合生的花药,以非互补镜像花为主;传粉者以小型的无垫蜂(Amegilla spp.)和熊蜂(Bombus spp.)为主。这些特殊的花部综合征与特化的传粉机制,提高了传粉精确性,可能促进了传粉隔离与物种适应辐射。今后的一个研究重点应通过分子系统发育方法,进一步揭示苦苣苔亚科互补与非互补镜像花的进化顺序及其在物种分化与长距离扩散过程中的可能作用。  相似文献

苦苣苔科(Gesneriaceae)报春苣苔属(Primulina Hance)是一个近年来备受关注的类群,其纷繁复杂的物种多样性和属下种间的特有分布引起了分类学家和植物学研究者的极大兴趣。该属除了极少数的物种如牛耳朵[(Primulina eburnea(Hance)Y. Z. Wang)]以外,绝大部分的物种为狭域分布或地方特有种,其分布范围很窄。为了揭示牛耳朵的传粉生物学和繁育系统对其生殖过程和拓殖能力的影响机制,作者系统地研究了牛耳朵的开花物候、花粉与柱头活性、访花昆虫的种类和访花行为、花粉胚珠比、OCI指数和套袋实验结实率,探究其传粉等生殖过程对牛耳朵的广布是否有正面影响。结果表明:牛耳朵的自然花期是3—5月,全花期约45 d,其中盛花期约20 d,单花期6~8 d; 开花后1~2 d花粉活力最强,开花前柱头没有可授性; 花粉胚珠比为537; 杂交指数为5; 去雌套袋、去雄套袋均无法结实,说明本种不存在无融合生殖; 与自然授粉相比,自花授粉结实率略低,异花授粉结实率略高,说明自交亲和; 牛耳朵的主要传粉者是花条蜂(Anthophora florea)和熊蜂(Bombus sp.)。花蜜产量较高、花粉量较大、花粉活力较强等特点,有利于牛耳朵完成传粉和结实的整个繁殖过程。因此,这一结果显然有利于牛耳朵的拓殖进而广布在我国华南至西南地区的喀斯特地区。  相似文献

该研究描述了产于福建省邵武市的苦苣苔科(Gesneriaceae)报春苣苔属(Primulina)一新种——邵武报春苣苔(P. shaowuensis X. X. Su, Liang Ma & S. P. Chen)。形态学观察结果表明,邵武报春苣苔与休宁报春苣苔(P. xiuningensis)最相近,二者的主要区别为:邵武报春苣苔的花筒近钟形,在中部膨大;花冠乳白色;退化雄蕊3,顶端稍显头状。经核糖体ITS和两个质体标记(atpB rbcLrpL32 trnL)进行系统发育分析结果表明,邵武报春苣苔在系统发育树上具有独立的位置,支持邵武报春苣苔为苦苣苔科植物一新种,且休宁报春苣苔和大齿报春苣苔(P. juliae)为其姐妹类群。  相似文献

在扫描电镜下对台闽苣苔 (T. oldhamii (Hemsl.) Solereder)进行了花部器官形态发生的观察,为探索该类群的个体发育、类群间的系统发育关系和进化趋势提供依据.研究发现该属植物萼片、花冠和雄蕊发生式样均为五数花类型,它们各自来源于花原基上分化出来的萼片原基、花冠原基和雄蕊原基;花冠与雄蕊的两侧对称性与花冠上唇生长稍快和退化雄蕊原基发育迟滞相关;萼片原基的发生和发育的顺序是不一致的:萼片原基发生的式样为近轴中原基-远轴2原基-2侧原基,发育式样则为近轴中萼片-2侧萼片-远轴2萼片,花蕾时为镊合状排列.花冠裂片原基的发生和发育式样是一致的,即远轴中裂原基(下唇中裂片)-远轴2侧裂原基(下唇2侧裂片)-近轴2裂原基(上唇2裂片).花蕾期卷迭式为覆瓦状排列,从外向内:下唇中裂片-下唇2侧裂片-上唇2裂片或下唇2侧裂片-上唇2裂片-下唇中裂片.雄蕊原基与花冠裂片原基互生,前方雄蕊原基在发生上稍迟于后方雄蕊原基,后者与退化雄蕊原基几乎同时发生,但较小,并与近轴心皮(或柱头上唇)对生.将该属与玄参科(Scrophulariaceae)的地黄属( Rehmannia )、苦苣苔科(Gesneriaceae)的异叶苣苔属( Whytockia)和尖舌苣苔属(Rhynchoglossum )的花部器官比较发现,这四个属在这方面呈现出多样性和交叉.过去一直按子房室数和胎座类型划分玄参科(子房2室、中轴胎座)和苦苣苔科(子房1室、侧膜胎座)这一做法受到了质疑.  相似文献

最近,我们在广西永福县江月乡进行植物考察时,来到了一种矮小的苦在宫科植物标本,经鉴定确定为一新种——广西异唇苞谷(Allocheilosguangxiensis)。异唇苣苔属原来一直被认为是一个单种属,特产于贵州省西南部兴义市的石灰岩上。它花结构较为独特。我们知道,大多数苦定苔科植物的花冠檐部都是二唇形的,上唇2裂,下唇3裂,而异唇首苔属植物则是上唇4裂,下唇不裂,具有研究价值。这次发现的广西异唇在兽与属的模式种异唇育苔的不同之处在于:前者叶较大,叶柄圆,总苞叶状,花较大,花药被黄色长柔毛,子房和花柱无毛。天然生长在石…  相似文献

首次报道广西苦苣苔科植物一新记录属:弥勒苣苔属.该属接近金盏苣苔属,但不同在于弥勒苣苔属花冠上唇4浅裂,下唇不分裂,2对雄蕊分别着生于花冠中部及其上方,雌蕊具一个柱头.弥勒苣苔属为中国特有的单型属,仅弥勒苣苔一种,分布于云南东南部和广西西部.该种在广西首次记录,凭证标本存放于广西植物标本馆(IBK).  相似文献

作者于2020年在福建长汀进行林木种质资源调查时发现了一种苦苣苔科异叶苣苔属植物,经过2年多次跟踪调查鉴定,确认为苦苣苔科一新种——闽西异叶苣苔(Whytockia minxiensis),并提供了该新种的描述和图片资料。闽西异叶苣苔子房2室,雌蕊柱头椭圆形,叶背密被短柔毛,花萼具毛,可与相近种台湾异叶苣苔(Whytockia sasakii)区分。模式标本存放于福建农林大学林学院标本馆(FJFC)。  相似文献

描述了在广西发现的苦苣苔科一新属和一新种,即文采苣苔属Wentsaiboea D. Fang & D. H. Qin及文采苣苔W. renifolia D. Fang & D. H. Qin, 并提供墨线图。文采苣苔属的柱头外形略似长檐苣苔属Dolicholoma D. Fang & W. T. Wang, 不同在于前者叶肾形,基部心形,具掌状脉,花冠斜钟状,裂片圆形,雄蕊和退化雄蕊着生于冠筒近基部。新属在体态上还接近小花苣苔属Chiritopsis W. T. Wang, 但前者叶具掌状脉,冠筒钟状,远轴侧膨胀,柱头马蹄形;在后者叶具羽状脉,冠筒筒状,不膨胀,柱头下唇倒梯形至线形。  相似文献

The interaction between floral visitors and plants in natural ecosystems has become a major subject in studies on biodiversity conservation. However, there is a very complex interaction between the community of floral visitors and the plant species foraged by them in the natural environment and little is known about the foraging activity of these visitors. Thus, the objective of this study was to determine the composition of the community of floral visitors to Sparattosperma leucanthum in an area under natural regeneration, focusing on the assessment of the exploitation of floral resources by the predominant visitors and effective pollinators. To accomplish this objective, we recorded the activity and behavior of the floral visitors throughout the day in a 2- to 3-m2 area of flowering branches of S. leucanthum. The model established in the current study comprises the occurrence of a high number of species with few individuals, whereas few species are represented by many individuals. The five predominant species were Apis mellifera, Trigona spinipes, Bombus sp1, Hylocharis chrysura, and Halictidae type 1. Of these species, only Bombus sp1 seemed to effectively pollinate the flowers.  相似文献

To test whether the nectarless flowers of Cypripedium tibeticum attract pollinators through mimicry like the allied species C. macranthos var. rebunense, pollination biology of C. tibeticum was investigated in western China. Although C. tibeticum was also pollinated by bumble bee queens, i.e. Bombus lepidus , B. lucorum and B. hypnorum , no special, rewarding model plants were found in the habitat. Field experimentation confirmed that the flowers were self-compatible but insects were required to transfer orchid pollen to the stigma. Both Bombus queens and workers were visitors, but queens were much more frequent than workers and only queens were effective pollinators. Floral functional morphology analysis showed that it was large queens rather than small workers that fitted well with the flowers of C. tibeticum. With the faint sweet-fruity scent, the minor floral fragrance compound, ethyl acetate, probably plays a role in attracting bumble bees by food deception. The dark flowers with the inflated, trap-like labellum are hypothesized to mimic the nest site of queens. Therefore, bumble bee queens tend to be attracted by C. tibeticum through nest site mimic combined with food deception. Considering that the co-blooming flowers of C. flavum are pollinated by the Bombus workers, and C. smithii pollinated by a queen, we suggest that using the same bumblebees with different body sizes as the pollinators is the main reproductive isolation between interfertile C. tibeticum and C. flavum, while C. tibeticum and C. smithii tend to hybridize naturally.  相似文献

In order to determine the extent of floral ontogenetic differences among species of a genus, six species of Gleditsia were studied. Gledilsia is one of only two leguminous genera known in which there is completely helical succession of floral organs. Floral ontogeny was compared in three species (Gleditsia amorphoides, G. aquatica, and G. triacanthos), and late stages in six species (including the first three plus G. caspica, G. delavayi, and G. japonica). Other unusual primitive developmental features include the unequal-sized flower primordia which produce flowers of variable merosity. Order of floral development is also loosely controlled, so that flowers of different growth stages are intermixed in the inflorescence. Variable features include the occurrence of floral bracts, merosity of flowers, number of organs, and position of the first organ (sepal) initiated. The inflorescence type, while usually a raceme, often has lateral branches near the base, or fascicles of flowers at some points. A terminal flower often is present, although not in all species. Sex of flowers and inflorescences also varies, although floral initiation tends to include both stamens and carpel primordia. Suppression of one or the other may occur at different stages of development. Carpel orientation also varies; the cleft may be tilted or inverted occasionally. It is proposed that absence of subtending floral bracts influences development so as to favor radial symmetry and establishment of other “chaotic” characters seen in Gledilsia flowers.  相似文献

瑞香属植物具有重要的药用和观赏价值,在中国资源丰富,但自然条件下低坐果率限制了该属植物的进一步开发和利用。该研究以橙花瑞香为对象,通过对其有性繁殖及传粉特性的研究,探索其自然坐果率低的原因,内容包括花部特征的测量分析,MTT染色法测定花粉活性,联苯胺-过氧化氢法测定柱头可授性,扫描电镜观察柱头、花粉的形态,传粉者观察,通过花粉胚珠比(P/O)和人工授粉实验推测橙花瑞香的繁育系统类型。结果表明:橙花瑞香的花部结构特殊,管状小花,花药两轮,雌雄蕊分离。花开后的花粉具有活性,柱头具有可授性,扫描电镜下,柱头和花粉的结构没有发育异常,且柱头上有花粉落置。橙花瑞香的传粉者主要是夜间访花的蛾类,访花频率低。P/O及人工授粉实验表明橙花瑞香的繁育系统为专性异交。橙花瑞香的坐果率非常低,自然坐果率为1.4%,人工异花授粉为23.3%,低坐果率可能是受其开花量大、异花花粉限制、资源限制以及花部结构等因素的影响。  相似文献

Plants of Polemonium viscosum are strongly self-incompatible, yet have floral features that enforce spatial and temporal separation of pollen and stigma presentation. In this study, we address the widely held view that such barriers to selfing are maintained because they reduce interference by self pollen in performance of outcross grains. In the first year of the study we found that 24 hr precedence of self pollen on the stigma (24S), reduced outcross pollen germination by 32%, and seed set by 40% in flowers of P. viscosum. In the second year significant negative effects of self pollen on compatible pollen germination were seen when self pollen was applied four hours before (4S) or immediately prior (S×) to outcross pollen. Surprisingly, however, in the second year of study, seed set was not reduced with as much as 50% inhibition of compatible pollen germination. Results suggest that by interfering with normal functioning of outcross grains, incompatible self pollen can increase pollen limitation in P. viscosum. Reduction in seed production as a result of this phenomenon should select for displacement of pollen presentation from stigma receptivity.  相似文献

Abstract Diurnal visitors to the flowers of many native plant species were identified in a wide range of Tasmanian sclerophyllous vegetation between September 1996 and April 1997. These foraging profiles were analysed to determine whether they were characteristic of various floral morphologies in predictable ways. It was found that although visitor profiles were sometimes consistent with classic pollination syndromes, these syndromes were unreliable predictors of floral visitors. Very few flowers were exclusively bird‐pollinated, and none were strictly fly‐, beetle‐, wasp‐, or butterfly‐pollinated. The majority of flowering plants were unspecialized in their morphology, and consequently hosted a diverse array of visitors. In addition, visitor profiles to congeners with similar floral morphologies, and even to conspecifics, differed between habitats. Altitude was a major factor in determining visitors, with flies being the most abundant visitors above 700 m. However, congeners in several genera of Epacridaceae, as well as the genus Correa, which differed in floral morphology also differed in visitor profiles. Tubular flowers were associated with birds, while flowers with more accessible nectar were visited by insects. The only taxa exhibiting a bee‐pollination syndrome that were largely visited by bees were the Fabaceae and Goodenia ovata Sm. Several species with purple or pink flowers were also predominantly visited by bees, but did not strictly conform to the melittophilous syndrome. In contrast, other flowers exhibiting an ostensibly mellitophilous syndrome hosted very few bees. Of these, species that occurred at high altitude were mainly visited by flies, while others received very few potential pollen vectors.  相似文献

Enantiostyly is a floral polymorphism characterized by style deflection to the right and left, which results in flowers with mirror images. To date, enantiostyly occurs only in species that offer pollen or nectar as floral resource. Here we describe the first case of enantiostyly in an oil-flower species. Janusia anisandra (A. Juss.) Griseb (Malpighiaceae) shows right and left-styled flowers in individuals occurring in an area of tropical dry forest in Northeastern Brazil. We described the floral morphology, investigate the reproductive system, and made focal observations of flower visitors behaviour. J. anisandra has morphological traits that are part of the floral conservatism found in the neotropical species of Malpighiaceae, which preserves features that are decisive for the interaction with oil-collecting bees of the Centridini tribe, performing a highly specialized pollination system. The six stamens (two major and four smaller), located in the center of the flower, characterizes heteranthery, an intrafloral polymorphism, in which the stamens differ in shape, size, and function and is commonly associated with enantiostyly. We identified the two floral morphs in the same individual, characterizing a monomorphic enantiostyly; each of the morphs differs by lateral displacement of the style to the right or to the left, always accompanied by one larger stamen. The species is moderately self-compatible. Four species of solitary bees of the genus Centris were registered visiting the two morphs of J. anisandra flowers. Centris aenea and C. fuscata were the main pollinators, performing 65% of the visits. This new discovery of a classical monomorphic enantiostyly in J. anisandra opens the way for investigations in the evolution of this system in oil-secreting flowers.  相似文献

Pollination or fertilisation trigger floral senescence in a wide range of flowering plants, and yet little attention has been given to the implications of this phenomenon to mating system evolution. We examined the effects of pollination on floral senescence in the genus Leptosiphon. Species in the genus exhibit a wide range of breeding systems. In all cases, compatible pollination induced senescence; emasculated flowers lived longer than hand‐outcrossed flowers. In the self‐compatible species, Leptosiphon acicularis and L. bicolor, and in one highly selfing population of L. jepsonii, unmanipulated flowers had reduced longevity compared to emasculated flowers, suggesting that autonomous self‐pollination limits floral longevity in these species. Limited floral longevity in these highly selfing taxa may reduce opportunities for male outcross success, representing a possible source of selection on the mating system. In turn, the mating system might influence how selection acts on floral longevity; obligately outcrossing taxa are expected to benefit from longer floral longevities to maximise opportunities for pollination, while selfing taxa might benefit from earlier floral senescence to reduce resource expenditure. Overall, the longevity of unpollinated flowers increased with the level of outcrossing in the genus Leptosiphon. Our results taken together with those of a previous study and similar results in other species suggest that floral longevity may represent a largely unexamined role in mating system evolution.  相似文献

Abstract

Fuchsia excorticata is a gynodioecious tree (endemic to New Zealand) which is pollinated by honeyeater birds. Red, tubular flowers are common among bird-pollinated plants, and the tubular flowers of F. excorticata change colour from green to red. The purpose of the present study was to describe the timing of the colour change, dropping of the floral tube, and nectar production of F. excorticata and to determine how bellbirds (Anthornis melanura) and two introduced species of nectar robbers (Zosterops lateralis and Bombus sp.) respond to the different colour phases.

Floral tubes fell off about 11 days after anthesis in both sexes, with colour change occurring on about Day-4 for female trees and on about Day-5 for hermaphrodite trees. Green-phase hermaphrodite flowers produced significantly more nectar/day than did green-phase female flowers, while red-phase flowers did not produce nectar in either sex. All three floral visitors studied preferentially visited green-phase flowers and virtually ignored the nectarless flowers in the red phase. These results contrast with the general association between red, bird-pollinated flowers and the presence of a nectar reward. We suggest that the non-migratory habit of the New Zealand honeyeaters and the lack of native insect visitors to this species may account for this anomalous green-to-red colour change.  相似文献

The relationship between the floral morphology, especially the heterostyly, and the pollination ability in Epimedium sagittatum was investigated. Three distinct kinds of flowers were observed in this species: (1) about 54% of the flowers had pistils that were of equal length or shorter than the stamens (PESS); (2) in 23.5% of the flowers, the pistils were longer than the stamens (PLS), and; (3) in 22.5% of the flowers, the styles were positioned axially away from the anthers (SAA). No significant difference in fruit setting rate was observed between PLS and SAA flowers, but PESS flowers set less fruits than the other two. A breeding experiment indicated that the species was self-incompatible, and revealed that the presence of PLS and SAA could increase outcrossing and fruit set. A field experiment showed that open-pollinated flowers of E. sagittatum produced significantly less fruits than an artificial xenogamy experiment. This may be because most of the flowers in natural populations have pistils and anthers of the same length (PESS). The principal visitors and effective pollinators are Bombus sp1 and Bombus sp2. Attractant experiments indicated that the fruit set of flowers whose spurs were removed was significantly lower than that of flowers whose stamens were removed, suggesting that the spurs of the flowers could strongly increase the pollinator visitation and fruit set. The results therefore showed that floral morphology could significantly affect fruit set in E. sagittatum.  相似文献
