A population of pondweeds from the River Stour in Dorset intermediate in morphology between Potamogeton natans L. and P. nodosus Poir. is shown by means of isozyme evidence to be the hybrid P. x schreberi G. Fisch. It is represented by a single multi-enzyme phenotype which, together with its sterility, suggests it reproduces vegetatively and may well constitute a single clone. It is genetically distinct from the morphologically similar hybrid between P. keens L. and P. natans (P. x fluitans Roth).  相似文献

水生植物之间的竞争作用在水体生态系统恢复过程中具有重要作用。本研究采用取代系列实验方法,对穗状狐尾藻(Myriophyllum spicatum L.)与不同生长期(幼苗期和成株期)苦草(Vallisneria natans(Lour.)Hara)的种间竞争进行了研究。结果显示,对于不同生长期的苦草,穗状狐尾藻均具有较强的竞争优势,成株期苦草的竞争能力强于其幼苗期;苦草成株组中的穗状狐尾藻平均株高比苦草幼苗组中的穗状狐尾藻平均株高增加了128.6%(P0.05),但苦草成株组中的穗状狐尾藻植株平均干重比苦草幼苗组中的穗状狐尾藻植株平均干重降低了62.8%(P0.05);苦草幼苗组中的穗状狐尾藻分枝较多、株丛大,对苦草幼苗形成了较大的遮光作用;苦草成株组中的穗状狐尾藻分枝少、植株较长,顶端漂浮于水面生长,表明受苦草的种间竞争压力增大,但仍小于穗状狐尾藻的种内竞争;另外,苦草幼苗组中的苦草根长比苦草成株组中的苦草根长平均长28.6%(P0.05),表明在与穗状狐尾藻竞争过程中,苦草幼苗更趋于竞争地下资源。本研究结果说明穗状狐尾藻竞争能力强于苦草,苦草幼苗受穗状狐尾藻的竞争影响较大。  相似文献

为研究两种根系特征的沉水植物在生长过程中对间隙水中磷浓度的影响,选取根系较多的沉水植物苦草和根系相对较少的沉水植物黑藻作为实验材料,监测底泥中间隙水各形态磷含量及环境因子的变化,探讨不同根系特征沉水植物对间隙水中磷的影响。结果表明:黑藻和苦草实验组沉积物间隙水中各形态磷的浓度均呈不同程度的降低,黑藻和苦草对于稳定水质,减少底泥中磷向水中转移具有明显的效果;沉水植物不同,底泥间隙水中溶解性总磷(DTP)和溶解性活性磷(SRP)存在明显差异。实验结束时黑藻组和苦草组间隙水中DTP的浓度分别为0.24,0.01 mg/L,SRP的浓度分别为0.22 mg/L,0.004 mg/L。间隙水中磷的形态主要以DTP和SRP为主,溶解性有机磷(DOP)的含量相对较低。沉水植物对间隙水中磷的吸收是降低间隙水中磷含量的重要原因,苦草的吸收能力大于黑藻。沉水植物根系通过降低底泥p H值,提高氧化还原电位(Eh)的方式抑制了底泥中磷的释放。  相似文献

Chlorarachniophytes are enigmatic marine unicellular algae that acquired photosynthesis by secondary endosymbiosis. Chlorarachniophytes are unusual in that the nucleus of the engulfed algal cell (a green alga) persists in a miniaturized form, termed a nucleomorph. The nucleomorph genome of the model chlorarachniophyte, Bigelowiella natans CCMP621, is 373 kilobase pairs (kbp) in size, the smallest nuclear genome characterized to date. The B. natans nucleomorph genome is composed of three chromosomes, each with canonical eukaryotic telomeres and sub-telomeric ribosomal DNA (rDNA) operons transcribed away from the chromosome end. Here we present the complete rDNA operon and telomeric region from the nucleomorph genome of Lotharella oceanica CCMP622, a newly characterized chlorarachniophyte strain with a genome ~610 kbp in size, significantly larger than all other known chlorarachniophytes. We show that the L. oceanica rDNA operon is in the opposite chromosomal orientation to that of B. natans. Furthermore, we determined the rDNA operon orientation of five additional chlorarachniophyte strains, the majority of which possess the same arrangement as L. oceanica, with the exception of Chlorarachnion reptans and those very closely related to B. natans. It is thus possible that the ancestral rDNA operon orientation of the chlorarachniophyte nucleomorph genome might have been the same as in the independently evolved, red algal-derived, nucleomorph genomes of cryptophytes. A U2 small nuclear RNA gene was found adjacent to the telomere in Gymnochlora stellata CCMP2057 and Chlorarachnion sp. CCMP2014. This feature may represent a useful evolutionary character for inferring the relationships among extant lineages.  相似文献

泥沙埋深对苦草和微齿眼子菜及两物种混合分解的影响   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1  
为探讨泥沙淤积对水生植物分解的影响,研究了沉水植物苦草(Vallisneria natans)、微齿眼子菜(Pota-mogeton maackianus)及两物种混合在底泥中不同埋深(0 和5 cm)的分解速率和养分动态,实验周期为117d。结果显示:(1)在0和5 cm埋深处理下,苦草、微齿眼子菜及两物种混合的分解速率均表现为苦草最快,微齿眼子菜最慢,物种混合介于两单种之间。与0 cm处理相比,在5 cm埋深处理下苦草、微齿眼子菜及两物种混合的分解速率显著降低(P0.05)。苦草在0和5 cm埋深处理下分解35天后干重剩余率分别为0和43.51%、在5 cm处理下分解82d后干重剩余率为0。微齿眼子菜和两物种混合在5 cm埋深处理下分解117d后的干重剩余率分别提高了31.09%和37.44%。(2)与0 cm处理相比,5 cm埋深处理显著抑制苦草、微齿眼子菜及两物种混合的N、P释放。苦草在0和 5 cm埋深处理下分解35天后N剩余率分别为0和31.28%、P剩余率分别为0和24.45%。在5 cm埋深处理下分解117天后微齿眼子菜N和P剩余率分别提高了19.45%和14.73%、两物种混合N、P剩余率分别提高了41.57%和22.82%。(3)两物种混合在0和5 cm埋深处理下,其分解速率均表现为加和效应,但N、P元素释放在0 cm处理下分别表现为协同效应和加和效应,在5 cm埋深处理下均表现为拮抗效应。(4)随着分解的进行,5 cm埋深处理下的苦草和微齿眼子菜的微生物呼吸速率均显著降低,物种混合的微生物生物量始终低于0 cm处理。这些结果表明泥沙埋深显著降低了苦草、微齿眼子菜及两物种混合的分解速率和N、P元素释放,物种混合的N、P元素释放在分解后期均因沉积作用而产生了拮抗效应。此外,泥沙埋深对分解的抑制作用与微生物呼吸及生物量降低有密切的关系。研究结果可为认识水生植物分解对沉积作用的响应机制提供资料,并为了解水生植物分解对底质营养动态的影响提供参考。  相似文献

1. We compared grazing by native noble crayfish ( Astacus astacus ) and the exotic signal crayfish ( Pacifastacus leniusculus ) on seedling or well-established macrophytes.
2. In a pool experiment, seedlings of emergent Scirpus lacustris and floating-leaved Potamogeton natans were heavily grazed by adult signal crayfish, whereas established plants of the same species sustained only minor damage.
3. In a preference experiment two submerged macrophytes ( Chara vulgaris and Elodea canadensis ), and both seedlings and established plants of S. lacustris and P. natans , were presented pairwise to signal and noble crayfish. There was no significant difference in preference by the two crayfish species. Chara vulgaris was preferred to all other plants presented, established plants of S. lacustris and P. natans were never preferred, and seedlings of P. natans were preferred to established P. natans .
4. An aquarium experiment was conducted in which the consumption of Chara by signal and noble crayfish was measured in relation to water temperature. Signal crayfish consumed significantly more Chara than noble crayfish, especially at higher temperatures.
5. Our results indicate that the signal crayfish is the more voracious grazer especially at higher temperatures. There may be negative effects on vegetation (emergents and floating-leaved, as well as submerged species) when the signal crayfish is introduced. Chara species are particularly susceptible, since they are preferred by crayfish and the genus includes a large number of rare species. Stocking of crayfish therefore could lead to the decline or removal of submerged species in order of crayfish feeding preferences and could prevent the spread or cause a decline of emergent and floating-leaved vegetation.  相似文献

实现富营养化浅水湖泊生态修复的根本途径是一个完善的生态系统的建立,而实现这一途径的核心则是沉水植物群落的恢复。因此,研究生态修复过程中沉水植物群落结构变化以及水质变化,对富营养化浅水湖泊的生态修复具有重要意义。本研究从2007年12月至2008年7月,对惠州西湖南湖生态修复过程中沉水植物群落结构变化以及对水质的影响进行了研究,以期为富营养化浅水湖泊生态修复提供重要的理论依据和实践指导。研究结果表明:5月份之前,南湖中黑藻比例明显高于苦草,分别为65%和30%左右;之后,在鱼类调控以及人为干扰等措施下,黑藻比例急剧下降,降至约5%以下;而苦草则大幅增到95%左右。沉水植物覆盖率也从40%增加到约95%左右。由此可见,南湖已由先锋物种黑藻为主的生态系统逐步过渡到以苦草为主生态系统。在沉水植物群落结构变化过程中,水中TN、TP以及chl a浓度变化趋势基本一致。在群落结构变化之前都保持较低水平,在5月份达最大值后迅速降低。其可能原因是沉水植物群落转变过程中,生态系统内部各因子变化剧烈,由原来以吸收水体中营养为主的黑藻生态系统逐步过渡到以底泥中营养为主的苦草生态系统,加之鱼类搅动及此过程中人为、降雨等因素干扰,导致营养盐水平和chl a浓度增加,但随着生态系统的逐步稳定,经过大型沉水植物对营养盐的竞争、悬浮物抑制以及克藻效应等因素,水体质量又逐步得到改善,TN、TP 浓度迅速降到0.840mg·L-1和0.028 mg·L-1L,chla则降到2.562μg·L-1左右,透明度增加到120cm。由此可见,南湖已由修复前浮游植物主导的混浊态,经过一个短暂的黑藻为主的生态系统,逐步过渡到已苦草为主且较稳定的清水态生态系统。  相似文献

文章研究了草鱼对轮叶黑藻、苦草、菹草、金鱼藻和穗花狐尾藻等不同种类沉水植物的摄食作用, 探讨了不同规格(35, 45, 55, 65, 75 和85 g)和密度(1.20, 2.40, 3.60 和4.80 g/L)的草鱼对沉水植物的摄食选择性及摄食率。结果表明: 草鱼对沉水植物摄食优先选择次序为: 轮叶黑藻 苦草 菹草 金鱼藻 穗花狐尾藻;对不同规格的草鱼而言, 在有轮叶黑藻的情况下, 草鱼会对轮叶黑藻优先摄食, 且摄食率大于苦草、穗花狐尾藻和金鱼藻, 同时小规格草鱼的日均摄食率大于大规格草鱼;对不同放养密度的草鱼而言, 在有轮叶黑藻的情况下, 草鱼对食物的摄食竞争作用明显, 当水质恶化时, 草鱼的摄食率随着密度的增大而减小。    相似文献

Hybridization was attempted by combining gametophytes between intergeneric pairs among the following taxa in the Lessoniaceae: Macrocystis pyrifera ( L.) C. Agardh , M. integrifolia Bory, M. angustifolia Bory , Pelagophycus porra ( Leman) Setch ., Nereocystis luetkeana ( Mert.) Post & Rupr ., Dictyoneurum californicum Rupr ., and Dictyoneuropsis reticulata ( Saud.) Smith. Hybrid sporophytes were produced in some combinations involving Macrocystis × Pelagophycus and Macrocystis × Dictyoneurum, and in all combinations of Dictyoneuropsis × Dictyoneurum. This is the first report of intergeneric hybrids involving Dictyoneurum. Gametophytes of P. porra had 16–24 chromosomes. Gametophytes from a fertile Macrocystis-Pelagophycus hybrid were crossed with Macrocystis and Pelagophycus gametophytes. Hybrid male gametophytes and Pelagophycus female gametophytes produced sporophyte progeny, but hybrid males with Macrocystis females did not. A single hybrid female gametophyte did not produce gametophytes in combination with hybrid males , Pelagophycus males or Macrocystis males. The hybrid gametophytes had approximately 30 chromosomes. It is hypothesized that the hybrid is an alloploid, containing a complete set of Macrocystis and Pelagophycus chromosomes, which may have allowed meiosis and sporogenesis to proceed normally in the hybrid sporophyte found in the sea. Thus, reproductive isolating mechanisms appear to operate at both pre- and postzygotic stages, and both can be overcome in intergeneric hybrids .  相似文献

通过模拟试验,研究了太湖五里湖主要3种基质类型(沙石、生土、湖泥)对4种沉水植物(苦草、马来眼子菜、金鱼藻、轮叶黑藻)生长的影响. 结果表明,生长于沙石、生土、湖泥上的苦草和马来眼子菜平均生物量分别为72.37、126.25、134.10 g和40.0、72.10、90.70 g,而金鱼藻和轮叶黑藻平均生物量分别为0.27、6.58、73.64 g和0.17、3.26、84.42 g,说明湖泥较适合这四种沉水植物生长. 苦草和马来眼子菜对相对贫瘠的生土有较强的适应性,而金鱼藻和轮叶黑藻不适宜在生土中生长. 生长在沙石上的4种沉水植物的生物量和株高最低,其中金鱼藻和轮叶黑藻于试验期间死亡.苦草的根系活力(TTC)低于马来眼子菜,生长在沙石、生土、湖泥中苦草的根系活力分别为0、(0.16±0.05) mg·g-1·h-1和(0.36±0.33) mg·g-1·h-1,而马来眼子菜则分别为(2.68±0.34) mg·g-1·h-1、(2.30±0.77) mg·g-1·h-1、(5.24±0.67) mg·g-1·h-1. 叶绿素、质膜透性和丙二醛(MDA)的测定结果进一步证明了以上结论.此外,苦草、马来眼子菜和轮叶黑藻对基质有较强的沁氧能力,其大小顺序为苦草>马来眼子菜>轮叶黑藻.  相似文献

 在对长江中下游流域湖南、湖北、江西和安徽4省25个湖泊苦草属(Vallisneria)植物种群进行广泛的取样调查、鉴定和查明种间共存格局的基 础上,结合同园种植实验,对该属两个混生近缘种刺苦草(V. spinulosa)和苦草(V. natans)有性和无性生活史特征进行了定量测定和比较研究 ,探讨了种间生活史差异对种间共存格局的影响。结果表明:1)刺苦草是长江中下游湖泊的优势物种,苦草为常见种,而密刺苦草(V. denseserrulata)仅有很少分布;2)苦草和刺苦草常混生于这些湖泊中,形成共存分布格局:刺苦草和苦草种间呈明显的的带状相间分布格局, 或苦草只零星分布于刺苦草群落中;3)刺苦草和苦草有性和无性生活史特征显著不同:刺苦草为多年生,主要以无性繁殖为主,只有有限的有 性繁殖投入;相反,苦草在调查的地区为一年生,以有性繁殖为主,只进行微弱的克隆生长,且不能产生克隆繁殖器官(冬芽)。刺苦草和苦草 在有性和无性繁殖生活史对策上的权衡,导致种间资源利用和竞争能力的分异而使这两个近缘种得以共存。  相似文献

Paenibacillus sp. strain TB is capable of degrading the sheath prepared from a sheathed bacterium, Sphaerotilus natans. S. natans was able to grow alone on casamino acids but strain TB was not. Cocultivation of strain TB and S. natans was examined in a medium supplemented with casamino acids as a growth substrate. The growth of strain TB was observed when the sheath was supplied to the medium or in cocultivation with S. natans. The phospholipid amount reached a maximum after 24 h of cocultivation and subsequently kept almost the same level for 96 h. The sheath amount also reached a maximum after 24 h and then gradually declined. The cell concentration of strain TB increased throughout the cocultivation. By competitive PCR targeted for amplification of a part of 16S rDNA, the abundance ratio (S. natans/strain TB) of 6.7 was obtained at 72 h. Almost no growth of strain TB was detected in a coculture with a sheath-less mutant of S. natans. The evidence allows the conclusion that strain TB grew by utilizing the intact sheath in coculture with S. natans.  相似文献

The ethanolic extracts of a number of Turkish freshwater macrophytes (Potamogeton perfoliatus, Ranunculus tricophyllus and Cladophora glomerata) and marine macroalgae (Dictyota dichotoma, Halopteris scoparia, Posidonia oceanica, Scinaia furcellata, Sargassum natans and Ulva lactuca) were assayed for their in vitro antiprotozoal activity. Trypanosoma brucei rhodesiense, Trypanosoma cruzi, Leishmania donovani and Plasmodium falciparum were used as test organisms. The cytotoxicity of the extracts was also assessed against primary rat skeletal myoblasts (L6 cells). Whereas none of the extracts were active against T. cruzi, all crude extracts displayed appreciable trypanocidal activity against T. brucei rhodesiense, with S. natans being the most active one (IC(50) 7.4microg/ml). Except for the marine alga H. scoparia, all extracts also possessed leishmanicidal potential. The best antileishmanial activity was exerted by U. lactuca and P. oceanica (IC(50)'s 5.9 and 8.0microg/ml, respectively). Five extracts that demonstrated inhibitory activity towards P. falciparum (IC(50)'s 18.1-48.8microg/ml) were simultaneously assayed against FabI, a crucial enzyme of the fatty acid system of P. falciparum, to find out whether FabI was their target. The extracts of C. glomerata and U. lactuca efficiently inhibited the FabI enzyme with IC(50) values of 1.0 and 4.0microg/ml, respectively. None of the extracts were cytotoxic towards mammalian L6 cells. This work reports for the first time antiprotozoal activity of some Turkish marine and freshwater algae, as well as a target-based antiplasmodial screening for the identification of P. falciparum FabI inhibitors from aquatic and marine macrophytes.  相似文献

We analyzed the genetic variation in Potamogeton anguillanus Koidz. and its putative parents, P. malaianus Miq. and P. perfoliatus L., at five allozyme loci of four enzymes to test the hypothesis of a hybrid origin for P. anguillanus, collected in Lake Biwa, Japan. Alleles diagnostic for either P. malaianus or P. perfoliatus were present at four loci. Of 13 single locus phenotypes (SLPs) of P. anguillanus, eight were phenotypes that were expected in F(1) hybrids between P. malaianus and P. perfoliatus. Two SLPs were different from those expected in F(1) hybrids but could have resulted from segregation of parental alleles in later generation hybrids. Each of the remaining three SLPs possessed one allele unique to P. anguillanus. Allozyme analyses thus supported the view that P. anguillanus was derived from hybridization between P. malaianus and P. perfoliatus. It seems likely that the genetic diversity of P. anguillanus found previously originated through multiple hybridizations and sexual processes in P. anguillanus. Other processes such as intragenic recombination, mutation, or hybridization with another lineage are also discussed with reference to the origin of unique alleles.  相似文献

Transthyretin is a tetrameric protein associated with the commonest form of systemic amyloid disease. Using isotopically labeled proteins and mass spectrometry, we compared subunit exchange in wild-type transthyretin with that of the variant associated with the most aggressive form of the disease, L55P. Wild-type subunit exchange occurs via both monomers and dimers, whereas exchange via dimers is the dominant mechanism for the L55P variant. Because patients with the L55P mutation are heterozygous, expressing both proteins simultaneously, we also analyzed the subunit exchange reaction between wild-type and L55P tetramers. We found that hybrid tetramers containing two or three L55P subunits dominate in the early stages of the reaction. Surprisingly, we also found that, in the presence of L55P transthyretin, the rate of dissociation of wild-type transthyretin is increased. This implies interactions between the two proteins that accelerate the formation of hybrid tetramers, a result with important implications for transthyretin amyloidosis.  相似文献

为探索属间杂种的遗传特点以及改良甘蓝型油菜油分品质,进行了甘蓝型油菜和紫罗兰的属间杂交。杂交母本为甘蓝型油菜奥罗(Brassica napusL.cv.oro)。父本为紫罗兰(Motthiola incana(L.)R.Br.)。将授粉7d后的油菜子房切下,消毒后,培养了添加适当植物激素的MS培养基。从750个离体培养的油菜授粉子房中,获得了2粒成熟胚胎,其结籽率为0.26%。将胚胎取出,转接于MS培养基(添加2.0mg/L6-BA和0.1mg/LNAA),获得了丛生芽,将丛生芽分割为许多单芽,转接到新鲜培养基中,长成了22株小苗,杂种一代植株呈中间性,它的许多性状介于两个亲本之间,一些性状倾向母本,少数性状表现显著的超亲杂种优势,植株结实性差。杂种后代(F2)植株表现多样性,多数植株的性状倾向母本,能育。部分植株表现中间性,育性差,少数植株发育不良,不育,染色体研究表明,杂种一代植株为混倍体。在杂种体细胞中,许多细胞的染色体数为2n=26。为两个亲本的配子染色体数之和。杂种后代(F2)中,倾母植株的染色体数为2n=38。矮小植株的许多细胞具非整倍染色体数。如2n-1=37,2n 1=39。从杂种后代中获得了种子油分品质较好的植株,有可能用于油菜的品质育种。  相似文献

为了探求合适的水体砷污染修复植物及砷在食物链中传递、累积的特点,以常见的沉水植物-苦草为研究对象,对受砷污染的水体进行修复,结果表明:苦草对水环境中砷的富集能在较短的时间内(3 d)达到一个较大值,到第14天,不同砷水平(2 mg/L)处理下的苦草对砷富集系数均超过200;苦草中砷浓度随处理时间及外源砷浓度的增加而增加,且与外源砷浓度之间存在极显著地正相关;苦草在不同浓度砷处理下都生长良好,对砷胁迫表现出较强的耐受性。因此,苦草对于水体的砷污染有着很好的去除效果,同时也能很好地反映出一个地区的砷污染水平。  相似文献
